    Picture is misleading
I thought the battlehub required 6pin cables from the picture, but when it arrived, it needed 4 pin cables the same ports as the playstation has. It didn't look like the picture either.
It works fine, It just made me have to send back the cables I bought for it.

    6 port ilink riview
Ummm well it is ok i mean it works but it isn't worth the money the people will spend on it so...it works but i wouldn't suggest it!!

    great

HW ok, user interface under Mac OS X is poor
In short it works, however ... the software under Mac OS X is very poor. To switch between the computers sharing the USB peripheral you need to have the software running, it uses space in your Dock and you still have to use a hot-key sequence. There is no menu option in the user interface to do the switch, and no help menu. In fact the entire user interface is quite unprofessional, the "About" menu is "About Hello" ???, which brings up a window with hello, hello, hello .. They don't even provide the manual or a README on the CD.

    doesn't come with a cable
I expected it would come with a cable to hook up to the USB device, but it doesn't. So I am ordering a third cable....

    It works
Something went right today. Hooked it up and it worked. They also sell 4 port to one devise model too.

Pretty good most of the time
This switch works most of the time. Occasionally it registers no keyboard or mouse. It also occasionally doubles keystrokes when I'm typing.

Works well and a great space saver
I've had a problem at my desk for a month. I have four computers in a cube designed for one. After researching my options this KVM switch seemed like an excellent solution. Installation wasn't too tough, though the switch doesn't come with any cables (hence the four stars) and the D-Link ones were backordered. Once installation was complete, all my computers started up with no problems. Switching from one to another is handled either by a "Select" button on the switch box that moves through the connected computers serially or by using an easy to remember key combination to select a specific computer. No drivers or any software was required to install the hardware.

Overall, I highly recommend this KVM switch. Anytime you have a lot of computers in a little bit of space, it will come in handy.

Product Info From the DLink Website

      Siemens SpeedStream 2524 Powerline Wireless Cable/DSL Router ( SS2524 )

        Crappy product
I had a different SpeedStream router for about 10 months when it crapped out on me. I sent it in to the manufacturer and about a month later they sent me the Powerline version of their product. I had a lot of trouble setting it up and since their tech support is only open from 7 to 7, I waited a long time to be able to call them for help. Just yesterday, after three months with this new router, the wireless capabilities stopped functioning. Of course, I had to go into work late so I could call their tech support to find this out. So my router is now worthless to me. Luckily it has been 13 months since the purchase date and my warranty is kaput. So I am now in the market for a new router. I guarantee I will never by another SpeedStream product. Crap Crap Crap!

        Wireless and more
This worked like a charm - I'd read the mixed reviews here of the Powerline ( HomePlug ) performance in these Siemens systems. But, (even with a separate aftermarket CanTenna attached and aimed) I was getting no usable wireless signal from my Siemens 2524 wireless router in a separate building nearby, so I decided to try the HomePlug feature, and got a SS2521 WAP. Ran the included disk, plugged in the 2521 item when prompted, and bingo - 99% signal strength, 100% link quality. And, contrary to a review I read here, it is NOT necessary that this SS2524 router be on the same electrical circuit as the WAP. In my location, the 2521 WAP is not only on a wholly different circuit, but in an entirely different building from the 2524 router, and it works perfectly. (This building is on the same side of the electrical meter as the router - I understand the signal will not cross a meter.) So, now we have perfect, full-strength wireless service literally anywhere there's a power outlet!

        Powerline adapter works great
The unit worked flawlessly out of the box. No hassle. It connected with other powerline accessories in areas where wireless could not reach. Great product.

        Audivox GMRS GPS
Much like a computer, the GPS manages to freeze and crash the system. Though it easily starts back at the same place by turning the unit on and off, the freezes are all too frequent - perhaps this is version 1.0 of the software. I would not buy it for the GPS portion of the unit.
On the radio side, I have only used the FRS portion so cannot comment on the GMRS portion of the radio. It seems to work, though on the FRS portion, it certainly has no more range that my Motorola Talkabouts.
I believe the editorial review is out of date or incorrect. The FCC license is $..., not $.... It was changed on September 10th, but that was before the Audiovox was released by three months. ....

        Works Great
I recently purchased one of the GMRS / FRS / GPS tranceivers. It works great. I have one of the original Magellian GPS's from the days when they first came out. It has many of the same features however, the speed of finding GPS sattelites is much faster. Also, the radio features work great.

Great product, has a great radio and a easy to use gps.
Great product, has a great radio and a easy to use gps. If you are thinking about buying a gps. Think: is it easy, does it have everything i need, and is it at a good price, Well this has it all.

        Makes a nice KV- switch.
Purchased this with the expectation of full use of what is now standard 3-button/wheel mice (PS2). After neither an XP nor an NT4 system booted with mouse support I sent an email to Hawking Tech. Support. Their response was "We can only guarantee full compatiblity with 2 button mice. -- Hawking Technical Support (CH)"
The product is being returned... my search goes on.

        Power-UP Problems
for laptops this needs an AC adapter that is not included. For my desktop computer I boot my computer and it doesn't recognize my mouse for WindowsXP... If I hit restart a couple times before the screen appears it then works fine. I assume this has something to do with the lack of power. It is inconvenient, but I gues it works fine.

        Works well for me
I agree with the comments added, yes it does us non-standard cables, which can prove frustrating if you didn't know ahead of time. Once I found that out, I have had no problems using a wheel mouse with the switch.
I have noticed that sometimes the hot keys don't register so I have to switch by hand, but still not a major problem...even when running all four machines through it.

        Don't do it!
I have had 5 of these drives die on me with hardware failures. One drive lasted only 3 days. It's junk!

        Still needs some work
While the unit does deliver external storage at wire rates, there are a few flaws. First, if you're a Win2K user, you won't be able to use your fully qualified user name (e.g. Joseph.Doe) because the user names have the Unix (Linux) limitations. This means you have to map your drive as another user. Also, the unit is quite noisy, so don't plan on having it anywhere in which peace and quiet are important.

        Good Start!
Easy to set up, but the interface has some issues. You have to be a TCP/IP guru to get it right the first time. Read the instructions carefully and follow them. Larger capacities would be nice for future releases of this product. It solves the problem of getting you more storage for your files.

Easy to set up, but very low performer
This unit took nearly no time to set up: the DHCP server on the network gave it an address instantly. It happily supports JetDirect (port 9100/tcp) printing, but performance is lousy. Even on a 100mbit network, it did no better than 58kbytes/second throughput measured during careful tests. Our application included >22 megabyte image files to a color printer.

For low-volume printouts (say, text reports from an accounting system), this looks like a winner, but for anything requiring any real throughput, it's not going to be too useful. The same image that took two and a half minutes using this device took eleven seconds to a real HP LaserJet 4100 printer.

        No problem with the install
I installed this device simply by accepting all the defaults in the setup. I'm using an Epson 900 Stylus ink printer. It's the default printer for all the computers on my network. It's attached to a 10BaseT hub that is connected to a Linksys 4-port DSL/Cable modem router. DHCP is enabled in the router and the print server uses that for an IP address. It's all working with no problem.

        Overpriced
This item can be purchased at a cheaper price elsewere,if you look around.

        Great product terrible support
I am compelled to express my total frustration at the support offered with this product. I have taken 4 hours at National phone rates to get through to technical support, who tell me their stats say there is a max 6 mins waiting time. I told them that this stat has just taken 4 hours to get through!! If you need support, go elsewhere until this company can sort its phonelines out - even if you have to pay for it, at least you can get it. I have voiced my opinions directly to David Soares, vice president of the European arm of the company (my apologies if this is not entirely correct,) my guess is that little will change,

Don't listen to An electronic fan
I bought the system, it is fine worked perfectly. An electronic fan seem to have got all the modem that was ever on sale at amazon.com which is very suspicious to me because why would anyone need 18 routers and 37 modem??? I've been doing research on what modem i should get and his review are on almost every single modem giving it a good review then a bad review

Easy to use, if you have all your ISP's information...
I had no problem setting up this device. I only use it for home use, but it is so powerful that many SOHO office could use it. The ability to configure each port and do detailed reports that are emailed to you are very valuable. Make sure that you get the latest config file from Netgear and install it upon getting the device setup. Definitely recommend purchasing this device even though it is a little more than some of there other products.

        Bad product worst support
I purchased this product a month ago, does not work at all. Technical support was horrible, I finally decided to return it.

        Easy and dependable
I've been using this product on my laptop for about two years now and I've never had a problem. The Cat5 plug is sturdy so that it won't get broken like on some other models. I've used this product on Win98 and Win2k and it worked fine on both.

        Working flawlessly
Installed in less than a minute, and has been working perfectly.
