Anyhow, the keyboard is great, and one doesn't have to switch keyboard and controller anymore. It's contoured nicely to sit on one's lap.
My only complaint is that some of the keys could be bigger. Like the tab key, and all the punctuation keys around the return button.

KISS
Best Compact Flash on the MarketThe included Jumpshot reader has blazing speed and makes downloading the images to a computer very simple.
I am a professional photographer and won't use anything ut Lexar. My personal testimonal is that I have never lost any images with a Lexar card. Unfortunately, the same can't be said of the SanDisk, Viking and the worst of all, Mr. Flash (garbage).
Don't cut corners, you get what you pay for with compact flash.

DON'T BUY ITI long for TiVo's next generation, when I hope they'll have an ethernet plug in the back.
If you're stuck getting this one, like me, be *extremely* careful plugging it in.
Awesome product, USB 2.0 coming soon though!I've also used it to troubleshoot existing connections (this NIC does have LEDs, so it makes troubleshooting pretty easy, although you can still run into 10/100 problems... don't be surprised if your hub is glowing amber instead of green... it means your connection is only running at 10 MBPS versus 100), and bypassing bad network cards.
As it is portable, it is my own personal toolkit which only really consists of stuff I use often enough to justify limited space.
At USB 1, the maximum speed for this product is 12 MBPS...which means if you're going to use it for an internet connection, it probably will do just fine (most internet connections, you're a VERY lucky person to have even a 1 MBPS connection), but for networking, it will run almost 90% slower than a standard network card).
I got a brochure recently for the much awaited 2.0 (which runs at 480 MBPS, although I'm not sure if the 2.0 network card will run that fast. At the very least, I imagine it will be true 10/100), but I'm still not sure when that will be released.
As for this product's durability, it is slightly fragile... but I've had mine for over six months now, and I haven't had a day's problem with it... treat it gently, and it'll last a good long time.
If your in repair, I'd suggest one of these, and a USB drive of at least 128 Megs (I kept tapping out my 64, although 64 is still great for pulling drivers from your working machine to one that probably doesn't connect to the internet... or pulling a sample of a corrupted file back to the shop for analysis.

Doesn't work with Edge
Hallelujah!I went to different computer stores that sold my model of Handspring a few years ago, and none of them could help me... I was stuck w/o synching capabilities... curse my bunny!
I was extremely happy to see that Amazon carried this Belkin sync cable. It's better than the cradle because it takes up almost no room on the desktop and can easily be folded away when not in use. Also a great asset to have if you travel and don't want your cradle to get crushed in transit.
Works like a charm!
A must have for Laptop/Visor owners.

Video problems galore - stay awayOveralll, I am not very impressed.
works, but some drawbacks1280 x 1024 on windows and linux, and without a separate
power supply. However I have encountered two problems:
1. Each time I switch from one computer to the other, I have
to readjust the position of the image on my monitor. Hawking
has been unable to suggest any solution.
2. Like most computers, mine puts the monitor in low power mode
after a period of inactivity. The KVM interferes with this.
Love This ThingThis switch is small enough to hide and, even though it has a 9V power port, it doesn't need it.
It even passes the gold standard of KVMs: you can boot Windows past the GUI start with the switch pointed at another machine and still have mouse and keyboard function when you switch back. Try that with a manual switch.
In summary, this is a very nice piece of equipment that beats its competitors on price hands down while not giving up anything in functionality.

Works on XP with Difficulty...
The initial drivers did have many problems, however; I was finally able to get the product to work on Windows XP. I down loaded the "make floppy" driver for XP from the manufactures website. Next, download the most recent windows 2000 driver and try and install it (yes, you have to download two separate drivers). The Windows 2000 driver will prompt you for a file it can not locate, point to your floppy drive (location of XP driver) and it will install the XP driver. If you check "Device Manager" you will first see a question mark prior to the install, after the install windows recognizes the device without a problem. You can even go into advaced properties and then change the Com Port number to a lower number then 5 (the default). It does seem strange that they don't have a simple fix for this, but at least I found a work around.
Iogear has always filled a market nitch of specialized computing products, so I've come to not expect a lot of support, but all the products generally work and are of good bulid quality (they don't fall apart).
Oh well, works in Win ME, and somewhat in XP
XP/Win 2000 userIt worked better than expected since Windows XP recognized new USB hardware and showed me new COM4 port in Device Manager instantly. No need for installation CD that is btw. supplied with the cable. I could instantly get data to the HyperTerminal application.
The only thing I do not like is the price. I would go for the cheaper, but had to have the cable immediately, therefore I purchased it in the store.

Not greatSecond, I couldnt get it to work with my notebook (running ME). The lights stayed red.
Most importantly, and the reason I didnt pursue trying to get it to work for too long, as a previous review said, the card interfered with my wireless connection. My wireless nic card below the usb adapter couldnt hold a signal, even without the usb card working.
So, I returned it, needless to say.
Quite SufficientI use the card exclusively under Linux; a recent kernel (2.4.21 or 2.5.5*) is necessary to get it to work reliably using updated EHCI drivers.

Big Disappointment!Dell PC and a PowerMac G4. The keyboard would rarely
work when the PC was selected. Iogear, please go back
to the drawing board!
Two big flaws...but otherwise goodEXCEPT if you use a mouse with extra side-buttons or if you use one or the other of the computers for gaming. It may just be because it has PS2 inputs and not enough channels for the information, but the side buttons on my mouse don't work through this switch.
Also, the keyboard and mouse signals seem to be a little rough. This doesn't really have an effect in most computer use, but when gaming, at times holding down a key won't do anything. I have to repeatedly press the key to get it to register. It's very annoying.
There doesn't seem to be any problem with video. That looks fine.
This won't work for me, but it may work fine for others. Given that most of the alternatives are twice as expensive, it could be a good choice for many.

works nice, windows has problemsThe coolest part is that you don't have to hold your phone in position, or even near your computer to connect to internet through it (I use Tmobile).
It has a neon blue light inside the plastic, but it's impossible to see that blink in daylight. I guess that's why other people haven't noticed it.
If you have a gift certificate and a nice bluetooth phone, this is a good choice.
Works great and Smooth (a...lmost) InstallationOS: XP PRO with Service Pack 1
Installed smoothly. Small 'quarks' exists. some times
Windows throws "New Hardware Found" multiple times though you have installed the drivers.
Reboot and I was all set.
As my Bluetooth Devices (cellphones and PDAs) are still being shipped the only bluetooth device I had is my car with Integrated Bluetooth based "Hands Free Link"(HFL) system.
Went into the garage and initiate "pairing sequence" and my laptop readily recognises the HFL device.
Not yet tested the range though. My car was about (30-40)feet behind 3 walls.
Most of the frustration that other reviewers seem to have appear to due to installation of drivers and other related problems. Not necessarily related to the integrity of the device itself.
Additional Pros:
1. The "glowing florescent carrying band" so that one can easily find their device.
2. USB Extension cable (though the device is thin enough)is helpful when u have a lot of usb devices connected at the same time.
Cons:
1. This one is minor though. I wish there were "power on" and "data transmitting" LEDs on the device. However the taskbar icon mitigates the absence of "Power On" LED.
Hope this review is helpful in making a decision.
It's like taking candy from a baby.....
I purchased a second one at Best Buy and it had the EXACT same problem. I took this one apart and fixed the problem and began to play with it. It's easy to fix once you remove all 20 screws. I suggest if you have the problem to just return it and get your money back.
The analog sticks are slick and they don't have any gripping power like the original Sony controller. My thumbs were sliding off of them during gameplay. I found myself stretching my thumbs a little bit in order to move the stick all the way forward. They probably changed the specs for people who have huge hands.
The 8 direction d-pad is horrible. It's a big circle that is terrible for simple up/down & left/right movement. It's only good if you need 360 degrees of movement. I really hate these circle d-pads because they never have good response. Nintendo has it right with their 4 direction d-pads especially the SNES one.
The vibration feature was a good idea but since the Netplay is so heavy the effects are weak. The keyboard portion of the controller is ok. It's basically a laptop sized keyboard. Seems pretty sturdy but I noticed that sometimes letters would get repeated 3-4 times. Maybe it was caused by some lag. For some reason you can detach it.
Don't buy this. The controller portion doesn't compare to the original PS2 controller and it breaks easily. The buttons get easily stuck and it's a pain to take it apart to fix. Two other people here had the same problems as me so I'm sure it's more than just a bad batch or a coincidence.
It's a shame ASCII didn't make something like this. They are great at replicating original design specs when it comes to controllers. Their GameCube keyboard/controller is awesome and works perfectly.
