I would rate this product ZERO stars, but this format does give me the choice. I purchased this product for the purpose of capturing analog video on my PC - primarily to freeze frames into "stills." The clerk at CompUSA said it should be capable of producing 800x... resolution. Not true! The tech guy at Belkin support said it should produce at least 640x... resolution. Also not true. Recent info from Belkin's web site finally declares "up to 388x... resolution." It also claims the ability to make "stunning videos on your PC." They're STUNNING all right ... appalling would be a more appropriate description. The images are VERY POOR quality. Don't buy this product if you want anything more than very grainy, choppy, pixelated images.

I ordered an HP printer, which does not come with a cable, on Oct. 17th. Based on advice in the ad for the printer, I ordered the subject cable, also made by HP, in the same order. The printer shipped on the 19th of October. An ink cartridge for the printer arrived today, Nov. 15th, but still I still have not received the cable. I do not know how to rate the printer or the cable and I have already lost 30 days on the printer's warranty!! I sure would like to be able to rate the cable and printer. To date the order is 2 weeks late since it's estimated shipping date of Oct 28 - 29. I have not even been able to find a way to contact customer service to see if there is going to be a long lag time, in which case I would know that it would be wise to cancel and order from someone else. Bottom Line: Not satisfactory at the moment.

I bought this device to hook up a Logitech wireless mouse via a Linksys KVM switch to 2 PCs. The mouse motion was erratic and tended to overshoot the target screen item. Installed latest mouse drivers, no effect. Tried hooking mouse directly to PCs, works fine. Tried hooking KVM switch directly to PCs, also works fine. Problem is clearly with the USB/PS2 converter. Called technical support at IOGEAR who admitted that they have problems with some cordless mice - they recommended I return the device. At least they were honest, but it would have been better if their product worked properly.

I purchased this item to extend the reach of my webcam. I plugged the active usb extension cable into my computer and rebooted and now the computer doesn't recognize the webcam. I then plugged my keyboard into the active usb extension cable and the computer doesn't recognize the keyboard either. I came back to the website to see if anybody else wrote a review which reported a similar problem. Either this cable is defective or there is some special procedure that must be employed to have the computer recognize a device plugged into it. At the moment, this item is totally useless.

Here is what you get: the scope (actually it is a digital video cam that is powered with a USB port) & a software.
If you are like me who bought this one, after viewing all the great pictures on the Olympus mic-d gallery website, then here is what you actually get.
1- NONE of those pictures can be taken with mic-d without extensive time wasted trying to get it in focus, plenty of time in Photoshop, and may be a couple of other imaging softwares.
2- This image is a low resolution (600 X 400 pix.)and of bad quality even for an e-mail.
3- The worst part is the software, sometimes you get half-picture clear, the other half is fuzzy or missing and no way to solve this issue unless you disconnect it from the USB port and start it again. VERY bad software and for those who do know how bad Olympus softwares are, try the ones that come with their digital cameras!!
4- The whole thing is not user friendly and takes plenty of time to focus and zoom in. By the way the +200x zoom is a digital zoom not optical, this is important to know.

In short, this first generation Mic-D is not worth the money you will spend on it, so please ignore it to save your self the trouble of returning it, & I guarantee that you will. Put your money in a decent digital SLR camera like Nikon or Canon Rebel, then buy a microscope camera adapter for it. Microscopes are cheap, less than $200 for a good one that you can fit with an adapter and your own digital camera.
If you can't wait and still interested, go to B&H photography website and you will get it for the same price as amazon. Good luck focusing.

This camera has relatively low quality. The software bundled with it it nearly useless. I have had nonstop problems with keeping the thing running. Maybe other people have had more luck. At this point I have given up on the mobile camera function entirely.
