All availible double-blind testing indicates that differences between copper wire of the same gauge over the same distance is completely inaudible.

Monster Cable is no better than any other cable of the same gauge in terms of audibility, except in terms of Monster's marketing budget.
16 gauge stranded copper is more than enough for nearly any power draw over nearly any reasonable length of cable to any speaker.
Anyone who claims otherwise has never attempted to A/B speaker wire under double blind conditions.

Spend your budget on speakers and amplification and use the change in your couch to buy 16 gauge lamp cord at a hardware store. Anything more is a monumental waste of money.

I added the Monster THX Speaker wire, along with THX connectors, out of curiosity to see of there would be any difference, at all, in sound quality. Much to my surprise there was a very noticable improvement in clarity and crispness on the highs when compared to the standard speaker wire I was using. I'm using an Onkyo TX-DS595 Receiver and Infinity HTS-20 speakers. This was an easy inexpensive and worthwhile improvement to my home theater.

I own an Onkyo TXSR500 home theater system and Bose speakers. I never had received a satisfactory sound effect from my Surround speakers. After chaging the speaker wires to Monster Cable THX wires, the result was really noticeable. I realized that the speaker wires sold as part of home theater packges were very low quality. Now I get a very good sound effect for movies as well as music. Highly recommended.

These cables preformed as well as a set of [$] cables on my new 30" Wide Screen HDTV, even at 1080i. I am not sure what the increase in price was for, maybe the gold plated connectors or thicker insulation.

I can't really recommend these over a cheaper set unless you have a problem with corrosion in your home (the only reason to have gold plating is to reduce corrosion, it does not provide enough difference in conductivity to matter) or you are going to be running your cables next to a source of a lot of interference, like a computer with a glass window on the side.

Save your money for something else that matters, or do like I did, take it back get a refund, and a new DVD player for the same price!

These cables WILL significantly outperform cheaper cables, as long as you have equipment good enough to take advantage of their quality. A system is only as good as the weakest link, and I have a feeling someone who returns a $100 cable and buys a 'DVD player for the same price' has several links in his system that are considerably weaker than these cables. If you have a $100 DVD player, you shouldn't buy $100 cables. If you have good equipment and you're looking for cables that will allow your system to show it's potential, these will definitely impress you.

I recently purchased a Widescreen projection TV and wanted the best cables for viewing movies from my progressive DVD player. In one word these cables are "Outstanding". I will never go back to S-video. I have always been a fan of Monster Cable products and the THX Ultra series does not dissapoint. Picture playback was crisp and sharp compared to my S-video set-up. Two thumbs up.

I've recently tried out the Monster Video 2 RCA connectors in my home theater system. They seem to carry more than enough bandwidth for VCRs, and pretty good quality on DVD. I noticed a slight bit of noise when using Monster Video 2, but so fine that its not incredibly noticeable on a 25 inch tv. Other than that, it seems to work fine. Good cable.

For the discerning audio/videophile, this particular video cable is somewhat of a necessity in their home theater. Several recent upgrades and additions to my first and second theater systems necessitated several new cables of various types. When it came down to insuring the best picture possible in the video connection between both receivers and televisions, Monster Cable's MV2R-2M and SV1R-1M were the clear choices.

As the advertising on the packaging states:

-Most Natural Color Rendition
-Excellent Overall Video Performance

So far, in both systems, I've found these statements by Monster Cable Company to be dead on accurate. In combination with my Sony receivers, DVD players and televisions these video cables have delivered outstanding video performance in all cases.

Overall, I highly recommend these products or any other cable products by Monster Cable Company as every cable of theirs I've used so far has delivered nothing but high performance, easily defraying the slightly higher costs for their products. {ssintrepid}

I've been using this cable for awhile and it performs well, no noise, minimal video loss. I've seen others run up over a hundred dollars and this cable will give those high priced cables a run for it's money

I'd just like to say that overall this product is more thanworth the [money] it cost to buy it, in fact, I recently purchaseda Sony-brand S-Video cable for my Playstation which ran me [three times more]!

I have had this product for almost 6 months and I can't say enough good things about. The only problem I have found is that when you push the button to release a game, it will sometimes release four or five additional games. This product will tell you if your wiring in your house is faulty. Since it is made by APC this will protect better than most other surge protectors, and if anything gets damaged by a power surge APC will pay up to 25,000 to replace whatever was damaged.

I dont know what the monster cable series dvi's look like so that's why the 4 stars but I can tell you the picture with 'cablestogo' is slightly better than component which I noticed on certain shows on DiscoveryHD but not much of a difference.All I really know is how much cheaper it is to monster,but I'm curious of the difference.I have the toshiba 30hf83 30" which I love so someone tell me if the pic quality is better with monster(not the cord design,that I already know)I'd like to know.

This product is one of the best I've ever used before. It gives a sharp, crisp quality that looks just as good as dvd. It is better than some of the other pc to tv cables i've used. I would recommend this to anyone who would rather put their computer's visuals on a big tv rather than a smaller more expensive moniter.

I never thought I would pay $40 for 12 ft of cable but I did and is worth every penny. My powered sub sounds so much better now, less boomy and tighter bass. Before installing this cable my bass seemed localize (you could tell where my sub was located), now it seems to fill the room. If you are currently running 16 ga. speaker wire to your line level input on your sub like I was, do yourself a favor and get one

I replaced the standard video cable running from my Monster splitter to my aging, 70" Mitsubishi projection TV. I had been so pleased with the signal splitter I figured this too would be a big performance booster. It wasn't. It's certainly good quality cable and connectors, but I didn't get a good return on my investment.
