It's useful, but not very sturdy and I keep losing the cap
I like this because it reads the SD cards in my digital camera, but I am not using for a portable thumb drive like I thought I would.

The main reason it hasn't turned out to be a device I use everyday is because the cap keeps falling off. I have to keep it in its own pocket in my bag because otherwise the cap gets lost. Also, I found it popped open once (exposing my SD card) which really concerned me. The other reason I don't use it all the time is that it's so big, I have to connect it to a short USB extension cable to fit it into a USB port alongside other devices. (But a short USB cable was included -- very nice.)

Rather than being indispensible, this device turned out to just be my backup card reader. Usually I just use my SimpleTech Mini FlashLink for a card reader, which is a sturdier and simpler card reader (even though it's not USB 2.0.)

Works great, but a bit big.
This product works great. I stuck an old 8mb Memory Stick into it and it worked right away. My Windows XP laptop recognized it within seconds, and it also worked on another XP machine I tried it on. I gave it for stars because:

PROS:
*It works great at what it's supposed to do.
*Its about 3 times faster than a Zip disk (250MB USB).
*As soon as I get more money, I can easily upgrade its storage capacity, which is impossible with most USB Thumb drives.

CONS:
*It is made of relatively flimsy plastic, and the cover for the memory stick is always coming out when you try to unplug it.
*It is about twice the size of my Lexar Media 256MB Jump drive, because it has to have space for the memory that you put in. This large size can be a problem if there are things plugged in surrounding ports, but a cable is included that solves this problem.

All in all, this device is a good solution for somebody who wants a thumb drive, but cannot afford the expensive, high capacity ones. You can use a memory stick/card from an old digital camera, and purchase more memory at a later date.

Utility Knife of Memory cards
Well almost. Can't use Smart Card or Compact Flash with it. O.K. so the plastic feels flimsy at first, but I've had mine for 9 months now and it goes from bag to pocket and sometimes sitting on it....man I tell ya it's tough! The cap is always coming off in my bag... but no harm and no foul. I like the idea of using my extra camera and MP3 memory for computer files. And, I like the thought of maximizing the memory use (just an excuse to have nearly unlimited camera memory for outings). My notebook has a Secure digital slot so I often don't need the Jumpdrive Trio for the notebook but take the same memory card to the desktop and this thing is a jewel. Bag the camera USB cable! I use my Jumpdrive Trio. Want to share that/those digital photo(s) with a friend and presto Jumpdrive Trio to the rescue. I have had to carry a USB cable when I know I'm going to use it on older desktop PC's with those USB ports that are wedged between the other ports. Granted that is a hassle, but less hassle than pulling the case out to find the USB port though :-O and the cable is easily carried in the/a satchel.

And....What a price!

FALSE ADVERTISING - 17" powerbook owners beware
If you have an Apple Powerbook 17", DO NOT BUY THIS BACKPACK.

Although the product is nicely made and attractive, especially for the price, the notebook compartment is padded on the sides and bottom, but not on top. There is only an elastic band on top that holds the laptop in place.

Although the manufacturer's description says that this backpack can hold a 17" powerbook, I suppose it would fit -- but the top of the notebook would be against the edge of the laptop and UNPADDED. If you care about avoiding dents in your powerbook, do not order this.

On the other hand, if you have a 15" laptop and don't need a really-well insulated notebook compartment, I would recommend this bag. 16" is just borderline. It has a comfy gel padding on the back and a sporty look.

One helluva bag
I absolutely love this bag..I use it for my Wide Screen 15.4" Dell Inspiron 8600, which absolutely doesnt fit in any other backpack in the market. This one's a real stud. Though a bit heavy, its one solid unit, and protects the laptop well, with tons of room for your other stuff. I intend to use it mainly for Air travel, and bought it after a lot of research in Circuit city and other stores.

Durable, Roomy, Stylish
This is by far the best notebook backpack I found. My laptop is a 15.5" and its hard to to find a backpack that wasnt HUGE. This doesnt look huge but it has so much room inside it and plenty of space for books, disc, power cords, a mouse, etc. I also think its well made and has enough padding to protect your laptop. The zippers are great!!! Really smooth and it never feels like its sticking. Its also a lot easier on your back than one of the messenger style notebook cases! It also comes with a lifetime warrenty if you fill out the card and mail it back (at least mine did...it was inside the bag).

Good looking, comfortable, holds lotsastuff, but too fragile
This is a good-priced, cool-looking, spacious, comfortable to carry bag. It converts to a backpack and the shoulder strap and handle are super padded.

Bad news: I went through two of these in six months, the second very nicely provided as a replacement for the first by Kensington for free. They both ripped out at one of the outer seams in the main non-padded compartment. I have a haul of a commute via bus and NYC subway and the bag got shoved around a lot. The exposed seams tend to snag on any available sharp surface and rip out.

Be nice to it and this could be a good bag, but if you need a bag that can be abused, stay away.

one of the best values out there
I bought mine in 1998 for $50--a steal then, though there are better options now at the same price.

Holds an unbelievable amount of stuff. Unfortunately, it is awkward to use (though it fits under the seat on a plane, getting stuff out of it is much harder than a side-zip computer case I use now).

Also, it looked quite sharp--not quite a professional briefcase that you'd carry into a courtroom, but far easier to commute with than an old shoulder-slinger computer case.

The stowaway backpack straps are great--except when you're wearing a business suit, or a jacket, in which case they're annoying to use and I'd stick with the shoulder strap. My strap split after a few months of constant use, but was easily replaced.

Protection for the laptop is a little understated--the shoulder strap slipped and the backpack fell to the ground one time, shattering my old Toshiba's screen. You've been warned...

Finally, even the most ergonomic backpack is still a backpack--do you really want to carry 15-20 pounds on your back when you could wheel it on the ground? The extra expense for a roller is well worth it; don't believe me? Carry this bag fully loaded for a few years like I did and you certainly will. But as an interim bag, it isn't bad at all...

The perfect carrying case!
Sling it over the shoulder, pack it on you back, or carry it with one hand. This computer case, not only offers three confortable ways to carry it, but also several compartments to store everything you'll need to carry with your laptop. The laptop compartment is well padded, guaranteeing added protection to you laptop (The felt that covers the inside of the compartment is thin; however, I have this carrying case for over an year, and it is still like new inside and out.) This carrying case is perfect for transporting any laptop safely and comfortably.

Well worth the money
This Kingston DDR-2700 ram is the best all around value out there. I have baught two sticks of the 512 in the past and am about to purchase a third! Whether this will be your first stick or your third, this Kingston ram is a great value.Kingston is the most compatable with other brands of ram,if you decide to buy one of those bargain of the week sticks you see so often, and don't because you're not sure if it will work with your existing ram.Now you can! Kingston adds a definate kick to a machine that has been starving for more ram,and improves noticeably the load and seek times on machines that already have a good supply of memory. The only downside to this Kingston ram,is that it does not seem to overclock well. You can do it,but it's reliability drops to about 45%.If you like to O.C. your rambus you shouldn't push it above a 370 front bus speed. Besides that this is a wise investment.

Good Value, Good memory
i'm running on dell 4550 and this works great. compatability is not a major issue.

-if your computer is extremely picky about RAM, this is NOT NOT NOT the way to go. You may need to use something like the more expensive HyperX

The Best Memory Available
I bought this memory to give fresh air to my computer. Personally , I never thought that will improve performance to levels that it did!, near 15-20%, My old memory was generic and the change was very notorios.
I also tested others brands but with no good results.
It was a simple solution to upgrade, but watch out, don't make a mistake with the brand. Take this one!
Simply, a great product!

Great web cam
I purchased both, the 4000Pro and the Notebook Pro. The Notebook pro has great picture quality (even better than the 4000Pro, the desktop version). The only flimsy design is in the stand. Logitech could have come up with a better design for the stand, perhaps it should include an adaptor to make it work with tablet PCs, and a stand to place the camera on a flat surface. Otherwise it is a great buy.

Rocks with Panther:-)
I'm using Mac OS 10.3 (Panther) on my 12" powerbook and this webcam works perfectly well with Yahoo Messenger. The picture quality is quite good and the carrying case is convenient. I've also used BTV to capure video using this webcam...decent quality videos with sound! As most of the other reviewers have poined out, the mount is of flimsy design.

Good Camera
This camera is good for its size. Low resolution, but OK for a web cam because a lower resolution means faster transfer. The short cord makes it good for laptops. It also holds to LCD screens for desktop computers (although you may need to buy a USB extension cord.

Purchased this item to transfer pictures from a Viking 128MB smart media card, to a PC running windows XP. The media card was being used in an Olympus camedia d40zoom digital camera. The reader plugged in, came right up as an additional disk drive. We easily transferred the pictures to the PC, no problem. We didn't try to format, transfer, or manipulate any information using the reader --- simply copied the photo files onto the PC. However, when I placed the card back into the camera, it would only give me an error message (wouldn't format, was no longer usable). Previously, that card had performed flawlessly, and I had previously successfully transferred several files from it using a Dazzle USB multi-reader (so I am pretty sure the card was fine). When I contacted Viking, they stated they had had similar complaints with people using the Lexar multireader, and that the card was completely ruined. We replaced the card with another Viking, and replaced the reader with another Dazzle, and it works perfectly. Sounds like from the other reviews, most induviduals have had great luck, so I wonder if it was the particular combination of hardware we tried to use??? Maybe the card coincidentally failed at that particular moment, but that seems unlikely. So if you have the same specific hardware/card combination, you might want to avoid buying this reader, and stick with the Dazzle. Other combinations may work just fine.

Doesn't work with new CF cards
I have the RW-018 Rev.B model. I even upgraded the firmware from the www.lexarmedia.com website. However, it will not work with my two Sandisk Ultra II 512mb cards! This reader takes many minutes to write large multimegabyte files, and when reading back the file it is corrupted! Many others with the same problem have reported this problem, and so far there is no fix but to get another brand USB2 card reader. Too bad. I am very disappointed.

(The reader works fine with my 25x Transcend 512mb card, which was made almost 2 years ago.)

Good value drive for file transfers
I was thinking of purchasing a USB drive to transport large files from one computer to another, but I saw this drive and decided to take advantage of the compact flash memory I already owned for my digital camera. One of the great things about this drive (it is a reader and a writer) is its size. It is quite small and convenient to carry about.

Once you plug the drive in, four new drive letters are added, one for each memory card slot. The Lexar drive has the same problem of all drives of this type in that the computer does not indicate which drive letter has the compact flash and which drive letter has the other media. But since the drive designations are the same each time you plug the Lexar drive into your computer, you can learn which is which. The first time that I plugged the Lexar drive into my XP computer, the computer kept telling me that I had added new drives which was a bit annoying. However, this only happened the first time and I have had no problems since.

I chose this Lexar drive due to its being USB 2.0. My current computer does not have a USB 2.0 port, but my next computer will and so I wanted to plan ahead. Windows gives me a warning that I have plugged a high speed device into a slower USB port, but it works just fine, just at the slower speed. (I can only vouch for how the drive works with XP. I don't know how well it works with other operating systems).

Overall, a great little drive to transfer files. I would recommend it to anyone with a digital camera or anyone who wants to transfer large data files between computers.
