Should be considered by experts only
As with a lot of similar products, sandisk's should only be considered by people who don't need any documentation. That's because there isn't any. If it doesn't work first time, then forget it. There's no documentation, not even on their web site. So please Sandisk, how about some customer support?

it works pretty good
I'm writing this review from my Ipaq 1935 using the card. Installation was quick and easy. Loading pages is a bit slow but I'm not sure whether it is due to card or hardware (memory). I'm sure it's not the connection because I'm sitting next to the router. Well, as the title says, the card works pretty good and I recommend it

Great way to get the most out of your PDA
I debated long and hard about buying a PDA with integrated WiFi and this SD card was my compromise. It's definitely nicer on the budget than splurging for integration. And it's alot less inconvenient then I thought it would be. I've found the card easy to install and it never drops my connection. You just pop it in the memory slot and it does its thing. Even when I'm walking from hotspot to hotspot, I don't have to pay attention to it at all.

Ok here are the caveats. 1) It's a little slow loading webpages, but that could be due to my pda hardware or the network at my school which I found to be slow using the wifi on my laptop. 2) I once had a problem that it suddenly wasn't recognizing the networks. However I reinstalled the driver and it worked perfectly. 3) Sandisk doesn't yet have a driver for Palm OS, a problem that my Palm friends complain about relentlessly. But it serves them right for choosing Palm, right?

Nevertheless, I give this card a 5 star rating because the flaws are rather minor and in the ever-important areas of cost and convenience, it surpassed all my expectations.

Don't buy this one unless you want to waste your money!
Go to Wal-mart's electronic dept. to get a better bag for much less. I got a good Samsonite bag (which I love) for under $5.00 for my Canon A80!!! The bag I got had 3 compartments with zipper closures and can hold extra memory cards plus a backup supply of batteries. This case is basically useless unless you just want a Canon bag to go with a Canon camera.

Not Satisfied
I purchased this case to go with a Canon Powershot A80. The camera fits nicely and there is room in the little front pocket for four AA batteries OR a CF card. The problem that I really have with this case is that the sides of it don't go all the way to the closing flap. This would allow water to get into the main compartment, which stores the camera. If you only want a carrying case and aren't worried about the weather--this is a nice little case.

Exceeded my expectations for the price.
I bought this case for my A80. I did not want something that was waterproof, big, fancy or that had a bunch of extra features. I just wanted a simple case that would protect the camera when traveling and storing. It accomplishes these objectives perfectly.

I like the fact that the belt loop is sewed into the case. When I am at a race or amusement park, I want the assurance that there is no way the camera will come off my belt unless it completely breaks.

The inside of the case is soft and the outside is a water repellant-type material with a large velcro "snap".

You can't see it from the picture, but once opened, the case features a web-like pouch for batteries or a CF card. It will not hold both, but all I care about is batteries since I do not carry a spare CF card.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this case for the price I paid for it. It does what I want in an efficient and compact way. I bought it without seeing it in a store. After receiving it, I would have expected this to have cost around 15-20 dollars. I like it. It's just right.

    Stopped working after 2nd use
Echoing the other comments, I installed the software on my laptop and PC, set the public and private drives, saved some data, went on my way, and now the device is not detected on any PC, including both of my computers. It just stopped working after the second use. Lexar's tech support, online, email, and live, all fail to respond. I'm also having the same problems with the wide size of the drive. It does no good to have a private drive if you can't install the software on the PC you want to access. This is ridiculous. I'm returning it tomorrow to Circuit City.

    Cheap, bulky, and quirky
I bought my lexar jumprdrive in a store. At the time, it seemed like a real bargain. However, you do get what you pay for and this product shows it. The bulky design makes using it on traditional towers painful if not impossible. Also, the device begins to slowly die within two months. My adivce is to either buy Lexar's 256 MB jumpdrive (which has given me no problem) or another, slimmer brand.

    Okay I guess
Well, I bought this little thing to replace my zip disk (which was just a headache). And instead of bargaining online, I went to a store and bought it at a steep markup price. That aside, this thing truly is a nifty little gadget, but it's not without its drawbacks. Because of the security capability I bought this model over its skinnier competition, but this feature isn't all it's cracked up to be. The security program is pretty simple but in order to setup or access the secured part of the drive you need to install the program onto whatever machine you are using. This can be a real problem if you want to access your secured files from a public machine with security restrictions that prevent user installations. Another big drawback is its relative bulkiness, users may have trouble fitting it in USB ports next to other used ports.

On the plus side, the "PUBLIC" half of the drive (which is my entire drive now)is always available and it has seamlessly worked in every XP machine I've put it in to. XP simply detects and install it as an additional drive without any requirement from the user. (Go XP!) 98 users will have to DL the drivers and install, but this seems to be the status quo with all flash drives. Additionally, I haven't put it through much yet but it seems pretty durable.

Bottom Line: It works great and everyone should have one but I can't say I'd buy this exact model again.

      Do NOT BUY SONY LAPTOPS
i have had the same problem as a previous poster, and many other furious owners. My machine randomly shuts off consistently. I have read that this is due to a malfunctioning motherboard that overheats when you are performing standard operations. I have read so many complaints on various websites i am amazed they have not been sued yet as this has been an issue with previous versions and i am sure future versions. sounds like they tried to save money by cutting costs with cheap parts. amazon should not even sell these laptops!!

this is all on top of the fact that there are some serious flaws in this machine such as poorly placed outputs, horrible battery life, huge and heavy adapter, NO support for media given it is a "media" machine, extremely poor speakers, etc.

      Good / Not so good...
If you want good desktop replacement, and you live in Alaska, then this laptop is for you. It has a big screen but gets VERY hot (thus Alaska) and poor overall design. NOT RECOMMENDED.
      Pros:
      >huge screen
      >Very fast
      Cons:
      >battery life (1-1.5 hours)
      >Desktop processor, not mobile P4: VERY hot and power consumption
      >extremely noisy (intolerable)
      >bad speakers
      >A LOT of junk software, some of which had expired by the time I got the machine. Some wouldn't delete.
      >huge ac adapter with short cable and gets VERY hot...
      >no floppy drive
      >VERY slow hard disk. At 3600RPM (or 4800RPM not sure) won't do video editing with video resolution above 320x240.
      >BIOS does not support RAM and higher than 512MB
      >Video card not-upgradeable
      >FN keys software controlled can't change CPU or screen brightness or volume in Linux, UNIX or DOS.
      >EXTREME overheating problem, had to use 2 C++ manuals to elevate the laptop and put 2 fans under it.
      >No serial port
      >4-pin IEEE-1394 provides no power

      TURNS OFF CONSTANTLY
I have a major problem with my GRV 550, which suddenly after 1 year ownership just turns off power, at any given time.

I have even tried to load DOS and still it shuts down for no reason what so ever.

Does anyone have any idea what this problem might be?

Please write soon, I am about to trash the laptop and get me another brand.

Hope to hear from you soon.
      Ivan

it does not fit a G3
As simple as that, if you got a G3 don't buy it, it will not fit. The bottom screw which hold the camera to the case does not aling to the existing threads on the body of the camera. Don't get me wrong here it is a fine product, nice brown leather well crafted, but IT DOES NOT FIT A G-3

      looks great, ok function
This case looks and fits great. I hope Amazon sells this in black. I unknowingl bought a brown from somewhere else (still looks great but it's a bit of a disappointment because silver would look great with black). I am satisfied with this buy overall. A few notes on usage: it's somewhat inconvenient because this thing comes in 2 pieces. so when you take pictures, you'll have to put one piece somewhere else. The piece that is attached to the camera allows you to use the power and other ports/outlets but you'll have to remove it to change the flashcard. i am satisfied over all though.

Handsome, sturdy case if you own the G2
Yes, the case is dark 'chocolate' brown. I actually like it... It actually adds to the "classic" look to the case.

Yes, the case is in two parts, but this is how standard SLR cameras have been made for years. And contrary to what other are saying, you do not have to 'take one part off and set it aside in order for you to use the camera.' While not recommended during extensive use, you can have the upper part dangle. This is simply how old-style SLR camera cases have been made for years!

And yes, accessibility is limited with the case, but I really don't know how they could have made the case be protective without it limiting some of the access. The ports that are available are the power and the PC connection ports.

Look, the main reason why I bought this is because I don't want the body of the G2 scratched up, and protected from minor bumps and drops. The case does this fine. And it good looking to boot.

Neat toy, but not terribly effective.
I got this in the hopes that it would substitute external speakers for my laptop; the ones in the laptop don't get loud enough for my tastes. The Soundbug *does* make sound loud enough, but only for some frequences, and it's so tinny and distorted, the sound is too unclear to be of any use!

Long and short of it is, it's a neat concept and yay to the engineers at Olympia who thought of it, but it's not terribly effective.

      The Bottom Line
There are generally two things to consider when purchasing this little gadget. The first thing to consider is how it sounds. Unfortunately, it isn't very hot. Sure, at standard volumes with no heavy bass being fed into it you will find that the SoundBug performs well enough, but once it starts to get very loud the quality degrades... FAST. Best comparison I can make is to that of a stock set of headphones that comes with a portable CD player.

Of course, the reason I was looking at this wasn't really for the sound qualiy, I wanted yet another little gadget to add to my collection. Yes, this makes a great conversation piece, it's fun to mess with and overall I think it has been worth the money.

Good buy for any gadget lover
This device can attach to almost anything. Glass works the best, but I've also attached it to the back of a laptop and it worked very well. The sound isn't the greatest, but the cool factor makes up for it.

      Dont' dare
This is terrible product. The connection between the network card and yout note book depends on a connecting wire which gets destroyed easily. No oned carry the accessory, so you have to order it fro about [money amount]+ S&H

Come on folks.. lets get the specs right
OK, fine. I'm the first to admit that I'm not a tech head. That's why I always do my best to match product specs with the system I am buying for. After doing this to the best of my ability it was annoying to realize that this card did not fit into the PCMCIA slots on either of my 4 year old laptops. The company provided specs need to be more straight forward.

Does its job pretty well for this kind of money
I use Windows 2000 on the laptop.

Install was relatively easy. When I inserted the card, Windows 2000 immediately installed a generic driver, without asking any questions (as far as I remember). I needed to replace it with NetGear's driver, but it was not very hard to do.

One of the reviewers here complained that the card has problems with "foreign" cables. Mine worked fine with a 50ft network cable that I bought separetely.

I measured the network speed, and it is not very great, but acceptable. I got about 3MBytes/second when copying 100MB file using NetBEUI protocol. I used to have 6-7MB/sec at work (with SMC cards).

Many people say the dongle break easily. I have the card only for a couple of days, so I did not have enough time to break it yet. But at work I have a D-Link card with the same kind of dongle, and it did not break for at least a year. You just need to handle it with respect :)

      looks nice...but
Its probably the nicest looking case for the Tungsten T2, but does not provide a great deal of protection or usefulness.
The T2 snaps in giving you access to being able to expand it via the open top, but it does not always rest securely in the case and can fall out of position relatively easily. It also is not very functional. It holds 2 mmr cards backwards so you cannot see the title of the card and it does not offer any kind of storage space for headphones, business cards, or anything else. It also folds open but the cover does not bend all the way behind the back of the case, so it is a bit cumbersome to hold in one hand.

      Recommend with Caveats....
As I do a lot of traveling, a hard case has always been essential for my Palm. The hard case on my old Palm V protected it fantastically despite drops, falls, kicks, and the occasional person treading on it. Therefore, I felt that a hard case would be essential for my new Tungsten T.

The hard case has a lot of features I like. The notch on the back allows for easy PULL-UP of the Tungsten to reach the Graffiti pad (something that a few previous reviewers didn't catch - admittedly it took me a couple false tries to figure it out, as the pullup vs pulldown is a little counter intuitive). The Palm slides easily and securely in the case via the spring loaded construction, although I *strongly* recommend that the Palm be in its compressed mode when pushing it into the case. The case is just high enough that if you drop it upside down the stylus and expansion cards don't pop out.

The negatives....The poor design on the expansion card holders has already been hashed out by many reviewers. I'll add an additional complaint that when I dropped the closed case, one of the cards popped out, and subsequently rattled about in the interior. My biggest complaint, however, is that the case **just** squeaks past my definition of "too big". The Palm V hard case slipped easily into my pants pockets. The Tungsten case fits in my pocket, but looks bulky (yes, I *am* vain). Also, I've got fairly small hands, and the hard case just isn't comfortable in them. If you're a guy or a gal with bigger hands than mine, this probably isn't an issue.

In summary, I still think there are more pros than cons for this product. However, for myself, I intend to use this hard case only when I'm actively traveling, and am using the "scuba case" for day-to-day activities.

It works OK, but not as sturdy as it looks
The pictures give you the impression that this case is especially "hard" and sturdy, but in fact its still mostly plastic and there is some play in the case hinge.

Also, as others have mentioned, the SD cards don't stay in too well. But a little bit of velcro (one side only) placed just above where the cards sit does the trick.

      Barely adequate
When I bought this case shortly after the TT came out, there weren't a lot of choices. I settled on this case because I don't like metal, but now wish I'd bought the metal case. My TT is a very important tool for me in my work as an ER nurse, and it is aggravating to pull it out to access ePocrates and get a blank screen because it accidentally got turned on in my pocket and drained the battery. Even tho I have it set to turn itself off after a minute, it must get turned on frequently as I standup, sit down, and move about the department. At least once a week this happens, where I'll go to work with a full battery, and try to turn it on to find it drained.

The case is nice looking, and fine if you carry your TT in a briefcase or a large purse or backpack. If you have to carry it in a pocket, as I do, you will not be happy.

      ok but flawed
I agree with some of the comments about the unit switching itself on when the case is closed. This is simply ridiculous. If the case is in a bag and something presses on it, the date book or address book button will switch the palm on and there goes your battery without you noticing it. It's happened twice in the last month and it happens even if you don't have anything in the credit card sleeves on the left hand side cover. I used to have a case for my 500 that closed all the way with a zipper (better protection) and never ran into that problem. Otherwise this case is ok.

Nice case - for the right users
As folks have previously mentioned, this case does not allow easy access to the voicememo controls / headset jack on the left side of the T/T2. However, you can turn the unit around in the case if you need those on a regular basis.

Contrary to other reviewers, I have NOT found the power-on issue to be a big problem. The case does have two small leather loops on the inside-bottom of the front cover that are designed to prevent the buttons from depressing. I have a stack of business cards in the front slot in the case which may provide a better buffer for the buttons. Then again, it may be that I'm just relatively careful with my PDA and don't bounce it around a lot.

As one of the only cases designed specifically for the T/T2 line, this case will certainly please most users.

      Poor implementation
I was disappointed with this case. First off, the "latch" takes too long to open and close. I should be able to whip the case out of my pocket and be able to open it with one hand. A thin button snap would have been ideal. Second, the case is too small for the Zire. It seems like the covers should have been a quarter inch wider to cover the edge of the Palm. As it is, the case leaves the edge of the Zire poking out and looks sloppy. A button snap may have helped this problem, too.

It's been said before, but let me reiterate: adhesive velcro?!?! Come on!

On the plus side, the stitching and leather are very nice. If you have something leaner than a Zire this case might work well for you.

Nice, but I didn't like the velcro!
I like the compact case. It is working great for me, but I do nont like that my Zire 71 is attached to the case with velcro. I was not crazy about sticking it to the back of my Palm... call me picky. The other thing is, that now I have expansion cards and nowhere to put them. If you think that by any chance you are going to get expansion cards, you might check out some other cases.

      Good for students!
Before I bought this case, i read some reviews about it. Some claim that the case closes too tight and then it presses the on/off button of the handheld. In my particular case, that was not true. The handheld works perfectly with the case, no matter if it is tight. Perhaps the trick of a correct usage is the following: you must attach the rubber seal to your handheld in such a way that the handheld is mostly placed rightwards. Under this condition, there will not be any problem with the power button. It does not look bad: quite the contrary, the case is very elegant and protects your handheld. And in the States or in any other free country, the price shown in amazon.com is excellent. Here in Mexico we must pay 500,- pesos for the case in a departament store. This is more or less the equivalent to 45 US dollars!
I hope this information will be useful to you in order to make a smart shopping!
