Nice Look - Poor Functionality
If you haul a LOT of stuff, this is the bag for you...Under the flap you'll find a smaller zipper compartment perfect for cables and wiring, with extra little pockets sized for diskettes and pens. The zippered main compartment is *huge*, though my laptop is about 1" too tall to take advantage of the velcro closures on the laptop compartment flap--however, the flap also has an adjustable quick-snap strap to hold everything securely in place. The back of the bag also has a very large flat zipper pocket that can hold a bunch of legal-sized files with ease. In addition to the shoulder strap there is a handle on the top of the bag so you can carry it by hand.
The color description claims it is a bright, high-visibility citrus color and shows up as a cheerful yellow online. In reality this bag is a dark mustard-gold color, which took a little getting used to. The trim is reflective but not enough to be considered any sort of safety feature.
I liked this bag because it has a lot of space and now I can carry everything in one bag instead of three, yet still be able to mash it all under an airline seat (the back and bottom of the bag are constructed of solid black heavy nylon fabric). It's also a security advantage that it doesn't look as if it would have an expensive laptop inside.
I took a star off for the following points: inaccurate color description, smallish (10.5 x 12)laptop compartment though the adjustable strap allows larger units to fit, and because I think the balance of the bag would be improved by setting the straps slightly closer to the front of the bag. This is a bag that is most comfortable with the strap worn crossways over your chest (weight of the bag resting behind you), but most people carry loads on one shoulder only.
Overall, though, you can't beat the practicality for the price and I really enjoy using mine.
Buy it, you will not be disapointed

Does not fit. Don't botherThe reason I gave this case a bad review (and don't use it) is because it has the exact same design as my previous one. The fit is very, very tight for the clie, the closure strap is clumsy and effectively useless.
I've found the built in flip cover on the clie to me more protection than this silly case.
If you are buying a case to feel like your clie is safe and secure, this won't provide it.
Bottom line: slim means poor fitting. It's overpriced too.
Bulky, but adequate
95% Excellent! It has many of the same features I had known and loved with my Palm; several internal spaces to carry business cards and medical appointment reminders; a secure and easy-to-use leather tongue loop closure; and a slightly padded cover to protect my Clie from the bumps and scrapes of life. It also came with an extra feature which I've found to be very handy -- a pair of mini-slots -- which I'll use to hold my memory stick when I've replaced it (in the expansion slot) with my cool new Clie camera, or to store other memory sticks which contain additional MP3 playlists or Photo Stand (photo) albums, both of which use up a ton of memory.
My only disappointment with the case is that it uses a large 1" x 2" strip of Velcro to attach the Clie -- which is vastly inferior to the slide-on rail system used on the Palm V -- and hardly keeping in step, in terms of style, with the Clie itself (which is very high tech and elegant).
Except for the Velcro attachment, this case is 95% excellent!

terrible service and bad laptopSoon the keyboard started falling and the connection cord had problems as it got loosened up.
After couple of months i had trouble closing the laptop as the screren would remain on.
When I got to the service folks they refused to admit any problems and tried to push every thing on me. the battery drains in just 45 minutes. the laptops starts tomake lout fan noice after couple of months.
GUys this is a terrible the whole customer service from best buy was rude. I wud just say u buy this product and pray that it turns out ok the whole service warranty etc is to drain further money out of you.
Would give 5 stars but battery life is very limited. The good: Blazing fast performance, 15-inch, crystal clear display; includes Memory Stick Slot for digital photos transfer; 3 USB 2.0 ports, CD/DVD player/writer (DVD writer uses - R format)
The bad: Battery life is very limited. I have tested and while Playing DVD battery lasts for about 45 - 50 minutes. Working non-stop with applications without playing DVD will extend battery life to about 90 minutes
Sony's awesome 15.-inch, display will have you watching DVD movies all night. You have to be plugged in to AC power outlet because unfortunately battery won't last long. The lack of integrated wireless connectivity is no big deal. I just added Netgear MA401 802.11b Wireless PC Card for about $38 (after rebate) from Amazon and I was flying on my DSL internet with the speed of light.
What I like the most about this laptop is a Memory Stick slot. I don't need those cables anymore to transfer photos from my digital Sony Cybershot DSC F717 camera.
Sony's laptop comes with 512 RAM memory. Video takes 64 MB ( it can be adjusted in BIOS to use less memory for Video) but there is plenty memory left even for transferring Videos. Maximum video resolution that can be used is 1024 by 768 pixels which is great for this size of display. I have on my desktop PC 17" Viewsonic LCD with 1280x1024 optimum resolution and sometimes it is very hard to read small print on web pages where you cannot change the text size. On the left hand side there is a video jack which lets you connect your laptop to a TV.
Sony included variety of software for CD and DVD burning, Microsoft Works 7.0 and other applications.
In conclusion, I would say this is a great laptop worth every penny. Hope this review will help anyone considering buying this laptop. If you have any questions regarding this review feel free to email me at johndoethe1@bellsouth.net
Good Business Notebook, but pretty much nothing else.I bought it a week ago from (a local store), but ended up returning it because it was a "barebone" system in that it has a blazing fast processor, bus speed, and memory; but that's about all it has!
Don't get me wrong. Sony Notebooks are excellent in quality. About 6 months ago, i bought the 505BX (12.1") display, and it was a great performer as well.
But the problem here is that this FRV26 has no Wireless Internet, which is becoming so important these days. Also, it has Shared Video Memory which takes from your 512 MB of memory, leaving you with 448 MB of main memory.
Also, it has no memory stick slot, no floppy drive, and WORST OF ALL, a horrible graphics set with only 1024 X 760 resolution which, although common, is more suitable for a child.
Basically, they stripped it of every bell and whistle to offer it for a cheap(price). It's a good deal, again, if you need business performance, otherwise....

Overall very niceA brief aside, one reviewer mentioned that the case comes with a stylus, but he/she couldn't remove it. That's actually the mechanism to secure a Palm V rather than using the velcro.
On the whole, this is a very good case and well worth the money.

terrible tech support
It's okayI am pretty impressed with how comfortable the full size keys are. I have used an Acer in school and it makes me feel like I am typing with Italian sausages. I have no problem with double-keying on this. The layout took a little getting used to since I have grown accustomed to having the Windows shortcut keys at the bottom as opposed to up in the right corner.
The display is decent as well.
I have yet to try any DVD burning, but since it only comes with one drive any hopes of copying DVD's are squashed unless I buy an additional external drive. Same goes for the lack of a floppy drive, which, while getting phased out, still has a use and therefore should be left in until they have gone the way of the 5" floppy drive.
The sound is weak... but I haven't seen a laptop with sound comparable to regular speakers... yet.
I do like the scroll touch pad software that comes with the system, as it's very customizable and fairly easy to figure out.
Same goes for the Toshiba Console software, which helped a lot when establishing my Wi-Fi connection.
Overall it's a decent laptop computer, but if you are looking for a mobile gaming platform stay far away from this and look to Sager. Would I have paid money for this... No. I'd put toss away the additional $1,000+ for a mobile gaming system, because it'll take that much longer to be outdated. (which I intend to do)
I love this computerThe Karmon speakers emphasise the treble more than the bass, but when I hook up external portable speakers (Phillips, in my case) the sound is, of course, wonderful. My only wish is that the screen, while of good resolution, would have yet a higher resolution for extra crispness. However, this is just a small suggestion. The current resolution is perfectly fine. The A25-307 is a marvelous computer that I would instantly recommend to anyone!

Great design & quality

Don't buy it - does not work with WindowsXPThis product is having serious issues with Windows XP which is likely infant mortality. Perhaps the regular ZIO (non high speed) is OK, but this puppy is a product that was clearly pushed out the door too early.

Buyer beware
Great ProductI received the product and it works great in both my digital camera and MP3 player. The size of the card is the same as the lower density cards I currently have.
Besides, if they would have sent the wrong card I am sure they would have swapped it out, their customer support number is located right on the package.
Highly recommended
