Its small and very nice.
Its the best printer I've had yet.
Silent as small mice.

I loved the other cartridge (black),
so much I wrote a poem.
But I felt keenly that color lack,
So I brought the color home.

I printed kitty photos (two)
and put them on my wall.
Its a lovely thing for me to do
So, I can show them all.

It pops in with a nifty "click"
and stays right in its place
and makes prints that look very slick
although at tedious pace.

When we talk of canon we talk of the best. This product is awesome. Faster printing at better quality with all the ink you'll ever need.

Although lower cost substitute ink cartridges are sold all over the web, and on this site as well, the few bucks you might save aren't worth the all-too genuine risks of replacing with generic "no-name" ink tanks. I've heard (but wouldn't wish to try it, frankly) that generic inks fade faster when exposed to daylight, could clog the print-head spray nozzles, don't spread properly on top-quality paper, and simply can't compare with the uniquely formulated dyes that have been specially researched for your printer and its matching photo papers. The one exception might be if you use a black-ink-only inkjet [hard to imagine anyone could screw up black ink]. Even so, considering the low cost and remarkable longevity, I'd still stick with the Canon product, if only to match the other colors. I concur that printer manufacturers use that old hoary "razor trick" (give away the razor, profit on the blades), but with Canon's individual ink tanks -- where you replace only those tanks that run dry, you aren't out a lot. My Canon photo printer uses an array of six ink tank colors. Of these six tanks (all available on this site), 'photo cyan' and 'photo magenta' seem to be used up 2 to 3 times faster than 'black'. In other words, rather than replacing an entire set of six ink tanks, you can replace just those tanks that run empty the soonest -- thus not having to toss out a 3-ink tank [as used by HP] where 2 of the 3 remaining inks still are far from used up. Just a word of caution here - make certain that every cartridge you order from Amazon clearly states its eligibility for SuperSaver shipping. If you have to add shipping charges to this low-cost item, you could end up paying more than you would have at the local office supply store.

....I use it for my Canon Multipass C755 and it never fails to give me the best print and color replication. The Amazon price is a little bit of a savings from those office supply franchises and electronics stores and I find it a simple overlooked item that seems to help bring out the best of my home computer.

This printer is actually the updated version of Canon BJC-85(Black) printer. This printer has a portable, compact and lightweight design yet it produces crisp, vibrant, professional-quality printouts. It features USB, parallel port and fast IrDA (version 1.1). It is a great printer for your travel & laptop/PDA needs.

I've owned the Canon L80 for about a month now. I find it to be a great laser fax machine, and it also doubles as a fine copier for small jobs when collating and a flatbed copier are not needed. For my small office needs, this Canon works perfectly for me.

I just recently received the Canon i455 printer as a gift. This is my 3rd photo printer to date. I am very pleased with the print quality I get from this printer. It is reasonally fast and best of all the ink cartridges are very inexpensive compared to other printers I've used. I have used both Lexmark & HP printers as well. Both of them printed well also. The lexmark was very slow to get good quality & the HP was both fast and had good quality, but both of them used very expensive ink cartridges. I don't know yet how long the ink will last in the Canon, but I will be printing a lot more photos than I used to simply because I will not worry about the cost of the ink used.

I would recommend this printer to anybody interested in getting a good photo printer without having to spend a lot of money!
