Copier
good buy
The Best! No scanner even comes close! The copies are nice and crisp. With text it will even do perfect copies of text in 8-point font. For pictures it will copy fine. Not perfect, some edges will appear pixilated, good enough for a teacher to make copies from a book for students to do. Yet not good enough for a critical sales or marketing presentation. If you copy from workbooks or textbooks the PC430 will pay for itself in just a few months. No more hassles of waiting or paying on a per copy basis.
The PC430 can have some trouble when you have many gray or offgray boxes that are small. It will smudge the edges but not considerably. For the price though it is perfect, you would have to pay 10x as much for a copier that doesn't do this.
Being able to hit the Power button and begin to copy is unbelivable. No warm up! If you are used to using $10,000 copiers that take minutes to warm up when you only need one or two copies this is a godsend.
All in all this is one of the best home or homeoffice products you can buy. It works as advertised and is simple to operate. In today's world of gizmos and gadgets that is saying alot.

Ideal home/small office printerBoth of my HP 2100 have been extremely reliable. They are quiet, the paper never jams, they have a reasonably large main paper tray, handle single sheet feeds fine. I've generated several camera ready texts on my HP 2100 using the top quality print settings and had no complaints from readers or publishers, So for a low-volume, mostly text setting, this seems like an ideal printer.
Easy to set up and prints great!
Absolutely nothing to complain about...Our company uses many programs (wordprocessing, database management, three different GIS) on a daily basis and we haven't had a problem printing from any of them. Since we've received shipment we've printed graphics from scanned photographs to digitally created images in several formats. It's also doing a beautiful job with very detailed tables, maps and charts.
I'd definitely recommend this printer.

it works better on my SMC nowthe signal strength and link quality are increased by 8-10 percent point
then I found this antenna works better on single antenna device, on 2 antennae device, it may have problem
update: this antenna works very well with SMC wireless router (used as ap) now, the result is good enough to get a stable connection with MS MN-710
however, for further upgrade, I put an order to get 15dbi directional, in order to connect the forth-coming dell axim x30, since the kitchen is blind point, and the router is located at the edge of the house, a directional antenna can "fire" the signal throughout the house
for SMC 2804 users: connect the antenna at the connector near LAN jack (which is the REAL antenna jack), this helps
Worked For Me
It worksBefore I got this antenna I would lose the signal every 5 minutes in the basement. Now I never lose the signal in the basement. I bought it so that I'd have a reliable connection in the basement. So I'm quite happy.

Great printer for the PriceI share it on a home network with PCs running Win95, Win98 and WinXP. No problems printing. The driver provides access to all the printer's features on these platforms and is very straight forward.
I considered the HP 1200 and Brother 1450. I normally purchase HP printers but was disappointed in how flimsy the HP appeared. While I wouldn't mind Postscript which comes with the HP, it isn't essential and not worth the additional $$. The Brother was probably my second choice, but the Samsung had better specs and was less expensive.
The Samsung WEB site could be improved, but I was able to eventualy validate that the drivers that came with the printer were up to date. They also have limited service coverage.
Great small office printer
Why need postscript? Also, I've had no problem with manual duplexing. Have not tried 1200 dpi yet.

got the shakesI managed to return two of them before and Sony is working on a pro-rated buyback for me, so that's good. I don't understand how these monitors can have this problem!!! They're all used on brand new computers with four different video cards (the better the card, the worse the problem!). Including GeForce4Ti4600, GeForce4Ti4200 and Radeon9500pro.
I'm going to go to LCD's from now on, or another brand if I want the big screen for much lower price (20" LCD's are still cost prohibative).
SONY CPD G520 image stability and service commitment lackingI have three other monitors in the same room, a samsung, a princeton, and a smaller sony, and they are all rock-solid. What does it say about the quality of this...unit if it shakes, sometimes a lot, when these $[money] models from other manufacturers function perfectly.
Sony has told me they are "finished" with me, as it must be my problem, not their equipment. I feel that they should stand behind their stuff, as it didn't work correctly ou of the box. Some were worse than others, and the last one only shakes a little, but still, it's a $[money] piece of equipment!!!
I returned the first unit, one day after I got it, to their local [Boston] repair site, and got back a REFURBISHED unit, which was not only against their own stated policy, but illegal in Massachusetts, and probably other states.
After talking to innumerable people, Scott Lake, the supervisor, decided that Sony was not going to really stand behind their product, and informed me that they would not attempt to find the problem, replace the unit again, or refund my money, as I believe the law in Mass says they have to. I informed him that I was a totally disabled veteran, and this would be a terrible hardship for me, but I was told, basically, to buzz off.
I'm sure that many people are very satisified with SONY stuff, as I was with my GDM 2038...but when you are the unlucky one, you could end up with an eye-bender like this one, and an eye-opening service experience like this one too... almost 3 months of waiting, moving, repacking and reshipping... trying hard to solve the problem, and to be treated like this yeech.... SONY should be ashamed...
When I try to sell it, I'll take a $[money] hit off the top because it is "refurbished" rather than a new replacement.
This is just a word to the wise. The shine is off the SONY star for me.
I think that Small Claims Court is my next stop.
