It's OK
Price is what attracts me the most. However, I wished it could be little bit longer so it will be able to connect the printer to the CPU. But finally, I got that problem fixed. Overall, it's a good buy!

Worked for me!
I needed this for the great printer I bought from AMAZON.com also. Easy to use cable - no problems!

Never had a problem....
I have lots of Belkin cables, and they have never failed me. The screw down mechanism is well designed, and does not allow the screw to back out (and thus become MIA). Also, because the screw downs are rubberized, they are easier to grip and tighten. I have bought one set of the expensive gold-plated contact cables, but the added cost added nothing to performance.

Kx-p7105 15ppm Duplex Laserprinter
Made by Panasonic

I like it. I like it a lot.
I've read some negative reviews for this printer, and was really scared to buy it! The one review recommended a Brother printer for duplex printing, so I hunted around but couldn't find one.

Let me qualify this review first, I have printed less than 100 pages so far.

The setup worked fine for me on Windows XP. I tried printing 4 pages/side & double sized (so 8 pages/sheet). I had to see this funny duplex printing, and it is a bit funny, the paper comes out and goes back in (as another poster mentioned) But it seems to work and doesn't look gimmicky to me.

References to the print quality coming out grey aren't happening for me either. I just printed an Amazon web page with a lot of graphics on it and the blacks are black. Text is crisp. I like to print out technical manuals and code, and if it keeps performing as is, I will be very happy.

One negative I've noticed is that the paper does get a bit curly, especially in duplex because it puts it thru twice. But I can live with that, beats the hell out of the ink jets I've owned in the past.

    I love this printer!
I recently bought this printer for home use from Tiger Direct and I absolutely love it. Granted, I only paid $149 though -- it was a steal.

The quality of the printing is excellent. And it has features that you won't find on printers with a similar price tag. It comes with 16 MB of RAM wheras others typically only had 2 to 8 MB (and ofter weren't even expandable). It has a faster processor. Combined, these two features make for faster printing as your computer's CPU doesn't get tied up trying to print.

The auto-duplexing feature is wonderful (prints on both sides of the paper). I can already see how much paper I am saving. None of the other printers in this price range had this option. Plus, I checked and the toner for the Panasonic runs about $5 cheaper than that of other brands. So, not only will you use less paper, but it will cost less to print each page. I also like the fact that the tray can hold legal size paper -- some cannot. And there is an easy-to-use manual feed option.

The printer also starts the first page pretty fast. I am used to using the expensive laser printers on the networks in the office. This printer actually gets the first page out faster than those machines that cost thousands of dollars.

Setup was a piece of cake. The toner goes in extremely easy. Do remember to buy a toner cartridge with the printer though as the industry standard is to only include a starter cartridge. I am still using it, but I don't know how much longer it will last for.

For $149 this was a no-brainer decision. Even at Amazon's higher price (they have free shipping though -- I pad about $20)this printer still seems like a great deal. And if you are trying to decide if you are willing to give up color printing, ask yourself how often you really print in color. If you do need it, buy this printer and a nice color inkjet. Then you won't have to switch cartridges again or waste the expensive color ink on a B&W page. And you can get an inkjet that is really good at color printing and not have to worry about how it prints in B&W.

Affordable Duplexing + Great Print Quality
We had a choice between the Panasonic P-7105 or the HP LaserJet 1012. Nobody had toner anywhere for the 1012, and the 1012 didn't have duplex printing. We bought the P-7105 and I can say, I'm glad we did. It's blazing fast and it looks great. It's duplex is a little unusual though, the paper comes out of the feed slot, then retracts, then returns, printing on both sides of the paper.

I use this machine for just about everything. I've had it for a day now, and it's already printed 50 pages. I love it!

    Cost per print
I searched around and found the least expensive place to purchase cartridges for my Olympus P10. I bought enough for 200 4x6 prints. The price per 4x6 turned out to be app. 42 cents per print. I can go down to my local Walgeens and get prints for 29 cents. I'm not certain about quality yet, but at 42 cents, one has to be careful, or the whole thing can cease being fun.

    Excellent all-around printer
I bought this for my wife to supplement our P-400 (8x10). We went digital almost 3 years ago with the Olympus C4040 and P-400 and I was looking for something to do 4x6s w/o having to cut 8x10s down all the time. I've always been partial to Olympus, having worked extensively with the OM-1 as a photographer in the early 90s. We were very happy with the results we received from the P-400 and I have to say the prints from the P-10 are stunning, if not better. The cost per print is about 39ยข, which is a bit more than taking it to some of the local pharmacies (though we live in the middle of nowhere, we'd more than make up for it in time and gas). Plus there's something to be said for the convenience of printing at home. Print time is reasonable, what you'd expect from a dye sub. The greatest benefit to me is that you don't get the diffusion dot patterns you find with the ink-jet "photo" printers. If you want "photos", dye sub is the only way to go -- and the bottom line is the P-10 gives the quality I want at a reasonable price.

    Great little printer!!
I've had this printer for a couple months now and would recommend it highly for anyone with occasional, low volume printing needs. The prints are indistinguishable from lab prints when printing high resolution shots and have a high quality gloss finish. Because it's a dye-sub printer, there's no pixelation as with many dot-matrix printers. Set-up and use is easy. In fact, I keep mine disconnected and stowed most of the time. It only takes 1 minute to plug it in and connect it. My only complaints are that there's no integrated imaging software to simplify printing (I use Powerpoint with good results) and the paper and dye-sub pack are a bit expensive (equates to 65 cents per print if you order the 4x6 kit for 100 prints). But if you only need a few good prints on an occasional basis, this printer is tops.

Get to know the PCU, because you'll be replacing it often
Our company purchased the CL3000 not more than 4 months ago. It worked out of the box, and the color printing is fast. This lasted to about a week. After a week, the printer began making a horrible grinding noise. After letting the Ricoh help desk listen to the noise over the phone, they scheduled a tech to come out and fix it. The tech showed and said that the auger waste doors on the color PCU were jammed, and the color PCU needed to be replaced. He didn't carry the part on him, so it would have to come from Ricoh direct. This took about a week, so no printer for two weeks since the problem occurred. We replaced the color PCU, and continued printing for 3 more months. We began to notice red streaks in the color sections of print. Again we consulted Ricoh's help desk (which is nothing more than a tech scheduling service), and they sent out the same tech again. This time, he claims the black PCU is faulty. He actually broken the flimsy auger door and used a wadded up piece of paper to force the door open. This time, he requested we return the PCU under warranty, to Ricoh for exchange. I would like to heave this over a cliff before I invest more time on a clearly defective design. For those of you who love this unit, are you printing more than 400 pages a week? Maybe it's just a matter of time for you.........

Color laser printer that is as fast as it claims.
Fast, easy to set up and great prints from photos to brochures. This printer was able to handle the great variety of paper sizes and weight types that I needed to print on. The output was great. Glossy prints where of photo quality at 1200 by 1200. This is a must have printer for the home or small office.

    A Real bargin the CL3000
What a bargin ... I picked up one of these and had it connected to the network printing from PCs, MACs and a UNIX workstation in about 35 minutes. The basic CL3000 comes with USB, Parallel and Ethernet connetions, four toner cartridges, a color and black developer cartridge and thats it ... great instructions. I registered via FAX and they call the next day asking if everything was ok. The print output is as good as a $2000 or more color laser and print speed for color is excellent. Too bad they don't do some marketing, this printer is a steal.

    Crisp clean images
I got the printer as a present, and have found it's great to print out snapshots of digital photos to put in keepsake albums. I like the quality of the images - they look like traditional snapshots, except a bit more high contrast. I have no trouble printing them from PhotoShop or PaintShop Pro. (In Print Options you check the "Size to Media" box.) At ... a pack, each snapshot costs about 50 cents, so you can't make many test prints. But I don't need or want 8 1/2 x 11 photos, so this systems is perfect. The cartridges & paper are easy to change.

    Excellent results
Photos are much more permanent than inkjet, and are more crisp with better detail. Very pleased with the results.

    Great photos
I lover this paper. The pictures do not look digital, they look clear and colorful. IT is so easy! I would never go back.

    Bad quality paper=Bad quality prints
Don't waste your money on this paper. When I printed on it, the pictures came out darker than they did on the HP Premium Plus Photo Matte paper. I can print on regular printer paper and the quality is better than what you'll get on this paper! I highly recommend spending the extra money on good quality paper. The pictures you print out from your digital are for display, and you want to make a good impression and flatter your subjects, don't you?

    This paper is great !!!!
I originally bought this paper to make copies of family photos for my children. But there is also another GREAT use - I printed downloaded sheet music on it and the results were fantastic.

    Great for photo calendars
We used this paper to make photo calendars for Christmas gifts for everyone in our family (20 calendars). The photos looked wonderful. The 41# weight went easily through our hp laserjet and inkjet printers, yet was heavy enough to stand up to printing on both sides, hanging on the wall (via a hole in the paper, supporting the weight of all 15 pages), and flipping through all year...

    Fast and great quality.
Very fast color draft print mode, rated at 14 ppm. I'm seeing 11 seconds on first page out in full page color draft. The color draft mode is very good, quite acceptable for reports and newletters. Has a large 10.5" print area on 11" paper (0.04" top margin and 0.46" bottom margin). Holds lots of supplies so you don't have to swap them often. Seperate ink tanks saves money on ink - full color draft letter size paper came to 9 cents per copy by our testing - including paper and depreciation. Only has a Parallel port standard, could have used USB too.

Works well for a color printer
Works very well for a color inkjet printer. You need to look at the printer to see when the ink is running low, but other wise no gripes. It works very well with windows xp. It also is able to hold out. I use this at work for printing invoices all the time and it works great.

Super Printer I now have 5 of them!
I have 5 of these, and what can I say? They have cut down on cost, they are quiet, they are fast, and they are slick! I don't know why the other guy was saying that this was not for business use. Yes, it does only have a 150 sheet capacity, but it prints so quick that you don't have to start the print job then go home and wait until morning for your 500 sheets of color to print. FIRM THUMBS UP!

    Beware of expiration dates!!
I'm glad I read the previous review of the HP 23 color cartridge. I had just put in a new color cartridge in my trusty HP OfficeJet T45 only to find that it would no longer print yellow. I tried a spare HP 23 color cartridge - same result. Color photos came out maroon or blue. Since I was getting the exact same result from two never-used color cartridges, I concluded that I was going to be shopping for a new color printer.

Then I read the review about checking the expiration date on the back of the cartridge box. I had bought several HP 23 color cartridges some years back and never used them. When I checked their expiration dates, the ones that I hadn't used were over two years passed their dates. I had unfortunately tossed out the boxes for the first two cartridges, so I'm assuming that they were also long past their due dates. Fortunately I had one color cartridge that was still good, so I installed it and tried it. Voila! It printed fine.

This will teach me to avoid stocking up on color cartridges when they're on sale on the assumption that they'll last forever. At about $35 a pop, I was out over $100 in color cartridges. Too bad HP can't find some way of prolonging their yellow pigments. I hated to throw out brand-new cartridges, but better that than buying a new printer.

    High Quality InkJet Cartridge
My trusty HP DeskJet 712C has chugged along for three years using HP cartridges. When I switched to a competing brand for the Black cartridge, I saw a sudden drop in quality -- especially in the first few days of use.

I appreciate the fact that, unlike some manufacturers, HP separates the Black from the Color cartridge. Rarely, if ever, do they both run out at the same time.

Be sure to note the expiration date on the back. One batch that I purchased at a suspiciously good price had expired over a year before and just wouldn't print at all.

    What can I say...
Reviewing a printer cartridge isn't rocket science. I've purchased many of these particular cartridge. I've never had a problem with them.

    Not Durable
I liked this printer at first because I was able to insert my CF card from my digital camera right into the front of the printer. It would then download all my pictures.
Soon I found the ink clogs so easily that after about 5 pages printed the black ink was only half there. It was very light and smudged. I would have to get it to run a cleaning cycle. Sometimes it had to clean 3 times or so before the black would work. It also happened with the colors several times.
    The photo printing was so-so.
Then I got an "error 41." This says to unplug the printer and call brother. Great. Its a generic catch all error I've found and it can mean your printer is now useless. This happened to me after only having the printer 5 or 6 months.

    Good Value
I researched these machines until the cows came home ( literally , I live on a farm) . I had a 5yr. old Brother MFC that provided good service but was no longer compatible with my new computer's Windows XP . I worried about reviews about low print quality . After 6mos. of service I find the only thing I don't like is my inability to copy from a book . It may be that I'm doing something wrong . Everything works great ! It fits nicely on my computer station , is quiet , fast and easy to operate . I even figured out how to scan pictures to file and to email !! I'm just your everyday shopper/emailer/info researcher so this machine is everything I need .

    Great Machine
I have been very pleased with this multifunction printer. It is very quiet and has everything you need. One feature that is really nice is that you can hook your digital camera memory card right to the printer and print the pictures without having to go on the computer. I am comparing this printer to our old one, which was loud and wasn't a multifuncion, but the quality of this one is so much better and I love having the copier without having to scan things to the computer. I really reccomend this multifunction printer.

    Great sending, poor receiving
We purchased this fax because our old one grabbed several pages at a time when sending. This Brother machine SENDS great - the memory feature is awesome. However, the paper supply constantly jammed when receiving faxes. It claims to hold 200 pages of paper, but it could never manage much over 50 without serious jamming issues. Even with a small amount of paper in the supply tray, we would have to clear the paper path about every third fax received. Customer service tried to help, but to no avail.

Great Performance and a Great Price!
The speed and quality of this fax machine is great. The pages are scanned very quickly, so you don't have to stand at the fax all day when sending multiple pages. I have been very pleased with this product and its abilities.

    This fax is awesome
We had the MFC version of this fax in our office. We're talking 2,200 LASER faxes, copies, etc. (print-outs if you have the Multi-funcion Machine), for (price) per toner cartridge. This laser fax is the best deal out there.

Apparently, Brother hasn't figured out what megacorps like HP have-that it's best to sell customers the device at an o.k. cost-then guage them with the laser cartridges (price).

Another FYI: In general, injet faxes and printers tend to give you only 200 sheets per (price)cartridge and the quality is poor.

Brother ROCKS!!!! The print quality is great, the price is great. I highly recommend Brother laser fax and MFC machines.

Re the problem above--If you're running your phone, fax and modem off the same line--it's probably time for a DSL line.
