I too have thoroughly enjoyed this product. Who wouldn't enjoy this amazing toner cartridge? From the moment I opened the beautiful sealed bag I was in awe. How could Canon make what would ordinarily be a boring office machine replacement part into what is obviously a work of art. This baby should be sitting in a museum, the Getty, or the Smithsonian.

But more specifically; what I appreciate about the toner cartridge besides it amazing looks is how it has simplified my life, making me far more productive and a more happy and contented copier user. Before using this cartridge I used to use plain ordinary toners - you know the ones with no pizzazz, no personality; the kind that broke apart in your hands before you even had a chance to install it. Then came the Canon E40, which is the epitome of cartridge quality. I have gone from a delivery clerk to President of Overseers Distribution in 2 months thanks to the sheer brilliance of this amazing piece of 21st Century engineering.

CON:
I have looked and looked and can find none. It is perfect in size, weight, design; even the smell will put a smile on your face. I recommend you buy hundreds if these cartridges, even if you don't own a Canon copier.

Setup was painless,i was scanning 5 minutes after i opened the box.A "must have" for any BJC-85 owner.

I've seen several other companies try to produce portable printers or scanners and they have all fallen short of the Canon BJC-55/85. One main reason is this little device that allows you to carry both at once! The software is extremely easy to use. In part because there are no settings to change; you can only ever scan at 300 dpi (most flatbeds have much higher resolution, thus my rating of 4 stars).

However, the image is crisp, color is good, and the unit snaps in very easily. I only wish they included a hard case like the one for the ink cartridge which came with the printer instead of a flimsy plastic "storage" bag. It is so tiny, this is probably the only scanner you'll ever worry about losing :)

I use this scanner primarily for text documents and couldn't be more impressed. You do need text software - I have Textbridge - but I find relatively few errors in the scan, proofreading and corrections are easy and efficient. Best of all, I don't have another device plugged into my computer or taking up space on my desk. Caution - I haven't used it for photos, but it does a great job on text.

This cartridge with tank came with my printer when I purchased it and if I didn't know better (the box had never been opened and was tightly sealed) I would think that it had been used. It does not print up to 80 pages unless the pages are only partially full. In fact, it was empty by the time I got finished printing one three page letter and about another 5 or 6 pages from a web site. Ten or 12 pages is all I got before it was empty. I thought there was something wrong with my printer and didn't even realize, at first, that the the color was gone as I had never experienced this before. One will go broke buying ink tanks and cartridges for Canon's BJC80, 50 and other small, portable printers and they are expensive in themselves. I wish I'd never bought it as it's always, always out of ink and never available when I need it.

I have had many printers. Big Cannon printers, epson & Lexmark. The Cannon portable bjc-80 uses these tiny ink cartridges. They do not last long, but if you want all black ink, use the big cartridge, it is a better deal. All in all, this printer & cartridge are the best on the market. Lastly, it works in this small portable printer...and it's great everyday.

Ink tanks are pretty simple. They should work, not leak, start up immediately after not using the printer for awhile, and be easy to replace. This one does.

The prices for original ink cartridge such as canon,Epson,Hp,Lexmark are too high.And its' price does not deserve the value and cost.I used MMC brand compatible cartridge made by Zhuhai Gree Magneto-Electric co.,Ltd,which save me incredible
lower prices than originals,but have the same printing effects and without any harm to my printer though I used a bulk of them.
The MMC's website is www.mmcinkjet.com.I hope I could recommend you a very substitute brand for originals.

The leader in the field does it again! A great product, but I sometimes feel the hype is too much.

I would suggest it if it was the only alternative.

Canon BCO-21 Ink Cartridges are a great deal at this price. I own a printer which uses these and it produces amazong quality images at lighting speed. The one pit fall is that it goes through cartridges very quickly, however at this price, who cares. Great Deal.

bought this one for my mom and while it's a nice printer, fax, etc it has one big problem: when i boot up her Shuttle XPC system (latest and greatest BIOS and all that), the system locks up completely due to some incompatibility. I've talked to Shuttle and Canon and they both acknowledge the problem, but have said that they're not going to change anything to fix it. They each suggested that I return the other's product! :)
Anyway, I'm sending the printer back which is too bad, but I'm posting this as a word of caution to prospective owners.

I searched high and low for a bargain. $400 for a quality all-in-one is just crazy! The MP390 is the best for the price. Great scanning quality, awesome photo prints, and a good all around solid printer. The fax is something to get use to, you have to scan them in, then send them. The machine does it all for you, but if you have a large document to fax, it could be a burden. But let's face it, it's for home use and the "occassional" fax. I can live with it.

I was looking at HP and Epson multifunction printers and was almost ready to buy when I saw a review for the MP390 at the PC Magazine website. They gave it pretty good ratings, but complained that it doesn't have a sheet feeder for the scanner and the ink tanks are small. For personal use, these are not a problem because my printing and scanning needs are not that high. The output is very good to excellent. This unit has it all (except a picture preview screen), something that the HP and Epson units don't have for the same money. Because of all of the features, there are many buttons and options to confuse you, but the documentation is pretty good. The quick start guide is excellent. My only problem is my computer. I have an older computer and my USB ports are PCI cards. I have a USB 2.0 card, but my computer is not fast enough for that. A Pentium/Celeron 566 MHz or greater is needed. Fortunately, Canon allows the MP390 to work with USB 1.1. Once I put in a USB 1.1 card, the printer installed correctly and it has run smoothly since then.

The product is easy to use, with clear instructions. I've purchased it a couple of times and it worked perfectly. There was no mess and I've been able to re-use my cartridges more than once. The savings are significant, and I would highly recommend this refill rather than new or rebuilt cartridges.

This is a great product and very easy to use. I also got 4 refills from this kit. The directions are easy to follow.

I have had great luck with mine. In fact, I've refilled my cartridges at least four times with one kit. It has worked flawlessly for me every time. The key is DON'T LET YOUR CARTRIDGE RUN DRY! The previous reviewer may have had this problem. I had two cartridges when I bought the Dataproducts kit - one was low on ink, the other was dry. The one that was dry never worked properly so I drained it out and kept the ink for the good cartridge I had left. Buy this product - why fill our landfills with old cartridges when you don't have to and you save $$ at the same time. I can't understand why no one makes JUST INK available for these. It seems that Dataproducts is on the right track - but once you buy thier refill kit you don't need all the accessories after that, you just need more ink.

I bought this premium transparency film and had no problems using it in my old HP DeskJet. But then my HP DeskJet printer died and I bought an Epson Stylus C82.

These transparencies work like crap in the Epson, maybe by design? Instead of getting solid black areas, I get severe banding (tiny horizontal lines that ink doesn't stick to), making this stuff useless for the printed circuit board exposures I wanted to use it for. IBM transparencies work perfectly in the Epson printer, so I don't blame the printer, it's these HP transparencies.

Only buy these if you know you will only be using them on an HP printer!

These transparency sheets are thicker than other brands, and have a deeper grain on them. They hold ink better. The Office Depot brand is cheaper, but I lost time and money by using the off brand because the ink kept running.

In conclusion, using this brand could save you a lot of frustration; and in the long run they will save you money.

These transparencies by Hewlett-Packard are high-end products designed for hard tasks. They are hard, unlike most of other companies' products, which is good, as they wear out slower and are less prone to accidental damage. Also, the stripe is on the left, and not on the top, as in most generic transparencies. This may be important if you want to save space. Usually, the text of your presentation does not fill the entire horizontal space. You wnat as much of the vertical space as possible, and for this reason HP transparencies do a fine job. Pictures and colors look superb on this hard-surfaced transparency.

If you present papers less than once a month, consider buying HP. Go for quality.

Generally, I don't trust the concept of an all-in-one product. My experience in the past is that they tend to not be good at any one of the included functions. That experience is different with the OfficeJet R60. Paper handling is very good. It handles copy paper, inkjet paper, heavy stock, envelopes, and photo paper with no troubles. Color copies look great, from photos to magazine pages. B&W copying is surprisingly quick. Printing is as good as any inkjet printer I've used. I didn't plan on using the scanning function until I noticed that my FAX software had a "fax and scan" feature. I fed a page into the document feeder on the R60 and it "scaned and faxed" just fine. The R80 might be a better deal as it includes a built in FAX (if you need more FAX services than PC software), but other than that this is a really good product.

I own a small home-based business and purchased the R80xi when they first started shipping in early July 1999. I have had nothing less than excellent service from this unit. I use all the functions, i.e., printing & copying (color, B&W), faxing and scanning. I have used the printer for my customer newsletters, company catalog and product brochures. I was the scanner to scan in my products (yes you can scan 3D objects (carefully) into your computer). I use this all-in-one in conjunction with"~ a very reliable HP LaserJet 4+ printer that I've had for over five years. this printer for small business/home office... but don't limit yourself. This printer could be used as a department printer too (in conjunction with a laserjet).

I purchased the Hp R60 back in Dec 99 and it replaced my hp4200 scanner and Hp682 printer. I was looking for a more quiet faster unit and to my surprise it is all that.. The scanner scanned my pictures perfectly and printed them without seeing the pixals. Never had a paper jam problem. Very easy to use software. Looking forward to buying a Kodak digital camera and seeing how the pictures turn out. I'm very happy eliminating the other two units and recommend this all in one with high praise.

I own a BJC6100 printer which uses these cartridges. They are no longer available as BC30 (Black), BC31 (Colour) and BC32 (Photo). They have been replaced by BC30e, BC31e and BC32e. The new 'e' suffix makes them compatible with the newer S-series printers they have. I have a BC30e in mine now and it looks identical. Works fine.

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO ORDER THIS ITEM FOR THE PAST 5 MONTHS AND IT HAS CONTINUALLY BEEN OUT OF STOCK. IS THIS A DISCONTINUED ITEM. PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO I CAN LOOK ELSEWHERE. I NEED A CARTRIDGE.

Just a typical replacemnt ink for your BJC-6000. I find it easy to install and it lasts about the same as the typical inkjet replacement ink would last.
