Be careful with the paper
I got the printer dock as a christmas gift. At first it worked great, but then the paper got stuck and there's no way of getting it out. The pictures were okay. I recommend a photo lab!!

i love it!!
i got this for christmas and i love it! with a digital camera i just never would take the time to go somewhere and get them developed. now i can print in less that 1 min and take the picture with me. i can even take the printer with me when there are family functions and take pictures and give to other family memebers right away, instead of them having to wait for weeks for me to get them developed and then mailed to them. it's conveinent and easy to use. although i have the printer dock plus i would figure this one would be just as good.

Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock

This ones what the 2300 DL should have been
I own a 2300DL and just bought the 2350EN. This is a large enough leap in print quality for me to be happy I upgraded. The older 2300DL was a good color laser and worth the price but this new model is significantly better. My first photo print was really impressive. I would say it was so near the quality of my Epson Photo 780 that I was surprised. Unfortunately Color lasers cannot print on true photo paper. Using plain paper on both produced very similar, and very good, photos. The printer takes its time to start up but its a small price to pay. I can definitely recommend this printer to anyone looking for a color laser.

HP Killer
This Magicolor 2350EN is a dandy! It installed easily without any problems and prints beautifully. It's also fast and has a much smaller footprint than any HP color laser I've seen. I love it.

Best color laser printer for your money
If you are in a tight budget like me, this is the one you want to get for your home office or small office, installation was so easy and color looks so great even with photos, highly recommand...

Great printer, ink supplies will nearly bankrupt you
I have used my z705 for less than two months. The reason I gave it any stars is because the print quality is quite good for a disposable printer. Unfortunately, the black ink cartridge runs out quickly and replacements are overpriced. This is the second Lexmark I have ditched and purchased a Canon i560 instead.

Pros:
Good print quality
Cheap price

Cons:
You are better off buying another brand of printer than feeding the overpriced Lexmark cartridges to this printer.

Low price, good quality, easy setup
This is a compact and fast little printer. I use Windows XP Pro, and the setup was practically instantaneous; I've never seen setup instructions with no words, just diagrams, before, but it worked flawlessly first time.

The construction is reasonably robust -- not too plasticky. The footprint is about 18" by 9" with the feed racks pulled in, but realistically you need about 18" wide by at least 10-12" deep -- the front rack, which gathers the paper, can stick off the table OK. The footprint is 18" by 18" with both racks pulled out. The cartridges snapped in perfectly; everything worked fine immediately. The paper feed is not finicky at all and aligned the paper perfectly.

The only criticism I have is simply that this is an inkjet and so without special paper (and even with) it's just not as precise as a laser. I printed out a couple of text pages: the text looked solid and black until I got up fairly close. There was just a tiny hint of fuzz on the diagonals, when I squinted, and a magnifying glass confirmed what I thought I saw -- the line is a little blurry.

The colour is strong and clear, and as precise as the black.

A couple of other points to note: the installation process will make this your default printer. That may well be what you want (it wasn't, for me), but if not then don't forget to go back and reset the system default via Start -> Printers. And secondly, note that Amazon also sells this with a USB cable for just one more dollar; this model doesn't have the cable, so get the other one if you don't have a cable to hand. Search for Z705 if you can't find the other one.

This is a great inkjet printer; for the price, this is as good as you're going to get.

Great printer for the price
Setup is fast and easy. The printer is reasonably fast and very quiet. Even without the special photo ink cartidge, photos printed on glossy paper look great. Printed text looks fine, too. It's a great little printer.

Good until it starts going bad.... and then it's really bad
We've had this printer for a few years and it worked fine for a while. When it started putting out he "paper exit jam" sign, everything went downhill. We dished out [money] for a repair which did not do a thing. Overall, it'd say it's a [inexpensive] printer but does not last very long. If you need a short term solution... buy it. But if you are hoping to not go shopping for another one for a long time--look elsewhere

Laser quality printer, small enough to carry.
Tired of ink jet portable printers? (too slow, high consumable costs) Why not carry a laser quality printer as part of your mobile office? The Okipage 8z will fit in a video cam. bag and if carried properly will last for a year or more of rough field use. Be sure to bring it in from a cold car and get it and your paper up to room temp before use. These printers weigh about 10 pounds and are fine for portable use so long as you have a 120v power source. (Use an inverter in your car if no power available)

bang for bucks, long term too
600 dpi is the least you should expect of
a good printer. The toner only costs about
$..., as opposed to the typical $... range
of other toner cartridges, so it's a long-term
investment as well as a short term one.

    The best little printer
When I was looking for a printer for my Toshiba e335 Pocket PC, I heard a lot of people who bought this printer had problems with their printer when their Pocket PC os was 2002. Well, I guess the company has fixed the problem because my printer works well with my pocket pc! My only complaint is that the printer is noisy and not quiet enough to use in a classroom setting when the room needs to be silent. A great buy!

    Excellent Robust Portable Printer
... Portable printers are not meant to compete against laserprinters or ink jets. They are made to provide printouts under non-office conditions, i.e., field use, and except for environs were extreme heat-in-the-shade --- like deserts, are operant, a thermal printer is most reliable, needs little maintenance and consumes few resources.

Thermal printouts are used all the time as TRANSITORY computer output on paper, such as ATMs, gas station receipts etc., to give users a copy of output. I've used 2 thermal printers since 1984, and these printers have outlived their CPUs.

I use the printer as general output on a boat or a plane, often in transit to remote locations, exposed to high humidity and at times printing from within a ziplock bag. The IR signal penetrates the bag nicely, and allows printing in a water resistant container. Thermal paper doesn't run when wet, and when cold laminated, allows one to take printouts diving ... were water temps rarely exceed 90F.

Competing ink jet printers, while capable of A4 size sheets, can have comparably illegible fonts, higher cost and maintenance and print horribly under humid conditions. A4 paper is more inconvenient to carry.

The Sipix is very similar to a thermal printer engine released by Alps in 1998...

A full spec sheet is availableonline...

It has a rated life of 50 million print impressions and paper advance mechanism life of 20km. That's roughly 17,000 prints or 72,000 sheets advanced of A4 paper. Using A6 paper, that's substantially more sheets.

Rolled Paper is Superior to Sheet Paper. Printouts rarely use the full length of a single A6 sheet, thus the unprinted area is wasted. In long printouts, type will span several pages, and sheet paper will be wasted on unprinted margins.

What is wrong with the Sipix is the cost, its not worth [the price]. ....
The Sipix thicker thermal paper maybe less prone to curl, but it still does, and its not suitable for rolls. Roll paper are torn are various lengths. The Sipix paper is too strong and does not tear cleanly. Sipix paper is too expensive, even if heavily discounted... You can buy bulk A6 wide paper of over 76 feet per roll, of thinner grade paper for [$] for 25 rolls, and simply cut 8' rolls for convenience. ...

Print MS Word Documents From Your Palm -- Anywhere
As a heavy user of word processing on my Palm via DataViz's Documents to Go 4.0 (available from Amazon) which allows me to download -- and work on -- MS Word files on my PDA, I was anxious to find a means to print these Word documents directly from my Palm -- without having to synch and output from my PC. Additionally, if the printer were also portable, that would be even better.

The Sipix Pocket Printer A6 -- along with the Docs to Print and IR Print software programs (both available from doctoprint.irprint.com as either a free trial or to purchase) -- fit the bill quite nicely.

The Sipix A6 printer is just a little bit larger than the Palm itself. It runs on AA batteries and receives its info from the Palm via infrared (IR), which makes it totally cordless. The Sipix also uses thermal imaging, which eliminates the need for ribbons or ink jet cartridges, which is convenient; but it does require the use of specially coated A6 size thermal paper, also available from Sipix (and Amazon) in either rolls or sheets. (I use the latter -- and carry a little stapler with me -- since it lays flatter and looks much neater.)

The basic Sipix A6 software (also from IR Print) that comes with the unit, only allows one to print entries from the Palm Calendar, To Do, Memo and Address functions, which in itself, is only mildly useful.

To do more, here's what you'll need to install on your Palm:

Docs To Go (DataViz) + Docs to Print + IR Print*

    * The more enhanced version of IR Print available from their website.

Once all three of these are installed, you'll be able to print Word documents, not only to the Sipix A6, but also to all of the IR capable models from HP (such as the DeskJet 990 series) and from Canon (including the BJC line of portable ink jet printers), which is really cool!

Being thermal, the print quality of the Sipix unit is, unfortunately, rather crude; and the speed is rather slow (especially when compared to regular laser and ink jet printers). But the Sipix is still the smallest portable printer available today for my Palm. And I carry it -- along with a slim box of A6 paper -- everywhere with me in my briefcase.

I use the Sipix to print rough drafts of my work (including product reviews such as this one), which is wonderful, since perusing a printed copy -- especially with multiple pages -- is still easier than scrolling up-and-down a miniature screen.

The Sipix printer, as a watch-out, does have a tendency to drain four AA alkalines rather quickly. As a remedy, I've switched to the new AA size Energizer photo-lithium batteries, which cost a little more, but last many times longer.

With my Sipix A6 printer, I can now print Word files directly from my Palm -- whenever and wherever I need it -- which is truly a dream come true!

    Complete and Utter Nightmare
Perhaps this printer is useful at home but for a "small workgroup" as advertised, the printer is useless. Prints hundreds of pages of garbage from Explorer or Netscape, from Windows or Mac, has no "off" button to reset when it freezes (which is several times a day at this point) and when you unplug the thing to reset it, it loses its network identity. The printer utility's preferences file must then be trashed before setting the printer up again or it crashes the computer. In addition, the extra [$$$] for the network version does not get you an internal ethernet port, but rather a flimsy external USB to ethernet adapter. This printer is garbage, our small workgroup is back to using our 5 year old 5 ppm printer with a broken cassette.

Simple set-up for my home network - PC, Mac, and Linux
Our home network consists of a router/hub, a dual-boot PC (Windows Me/Mandrake Linux) and a Mac (OS 9). The printer plugged straight into the hub, and was able to be set up using DHCP (our IP address strategy using our hub) as it came out of the box.

The instructions were very clear, and the printer worked properly for all of our setups. The print quality (when econo-mode is turned off) is fantastic, and in general, we're very pleased with the printer.

If your network has static IP addresses, or some other way of set-up than DHCP, it may be harder to configure the printer than it was for me (the other post I see here indicates that this is apparently something to be somewhat concerned about).

I love the printer and recommend it for a multiple-platform environment where you need high-quality black and white printing over a network at a reasonable cost.

    Excellent Printer!
    I've had three printers in the last 12 years (An HP540 Laser-jet, HP 900CSE, and this one;HP 1200 Laser-jet).

This is by-far my favorite one. For one, it's a laser printer which produces, clean, crisp, non-smudged, black and white prints. And, two, it never jams. I've had this printer for 18 months and it's worked flawlessly.

I used to be a "bubble-jet" consumer. But now, I've made the jump to laser and I'm glad I did. The prints are just much more consistent. It's not noisy like the HP900 (bubble-jet) was. That one was slow and loud (shook from side to side when it printed). This one warms up with a humming sound and then prints out nice clean letters. You can adjust the print quality if you like too, but that also means that you will need to replace the cartridge sooner. I've only had ONE cartridge so far, and it's about due to be replaced. I print out about 150-200 pages per month. So, it's not like I run a "print shop" or anything. But considering that I've had this for over 18 months and not one jam, that's saying something. I'm quite happy with this printer.

    Poor product
I placed an order a couple of days ago for 2 sets of color and black in for my Epson printer as it was running out of ink. The cartridge packaging looked new and even had an expiration date of 11/2006. The ink cartridges printed as if there were no ink. It was worse than my cartridges that were running out of ink.

    good product/fast service
good product and fast service 3 days from time I ordered! one downside the postage is high, but will be reduced by more cartridges you buy, I'm sticking we these folks though!

    Great product, low cost
I've been using these cartridges on my Epson Stylus Color 740 for months now without any problems. The print quality is excellent and these cartridges are so much cheaper than those manufactured by Epson!

    Very disappointing!
There are several reasons why I do not recommend this printer:

    1. Lack of Customer Support. Sony is notorious for bad support. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried getting support via email, chat and phone and did not get any help.

    2. Picture Quality. While the pictures are sharp, the colors are really off. When I have tried printing several pictures, they come out with a yellow tint. These same pictures were sent to an online printer and came back okay.

    3. LCD Screen. Even though Sony makes the screen really easy to use, it does not always reflect the exact way a picture comes out. I found myself wasting a lot of paper because the picture on the screen looked good but then printed out too yellow, etc.

    4. Documentation. The documentation they include with the printer is very poor.

I received this printer for Christmas and I am definitely thinking about bringing it back. It is definitely not the quality I expected from Sony.

    Lab quality prints @ Home!
"Wow!" That's just what we thought when we hooked up Sony's latest DPP-EX7 digital photo printer. The DPP-EX7 is an on the spot photo editor, borderless coated printer, and memory accessible device (no need for a PC). These qualities make it the perfect printer for quick high quality prints. Today Bytesector will explore the ups and downs of this printer. (full review @ Bytesector.com)

This is a great printer if you are using a good camera like the dsc-v1. The only thing is it takes 90 seconds for one photo but the photo IS worth the wait. Good quality.

    Excellent value for the price
After seeing this printer advertised on QVC for about £85 inc P&P I didn't hesitate to order one.

It took about 10 minutes to install with no problems. The print quality and speed of black text is superb, hard to distinguish between laser print outs. I was initially dissapointed with the colour prints. At 1200 x 1200 I expected perfection but found I had noticible lines across the page. After reading the help page I opened the Xerox print manager and ran the cartridge alignment test. Print quality was vastly improved and I am very happy with the results. It is a little slow when printing in high quality colour, but you can't rush art!

    9 ppm and 1200 x 1200dpi for £85 - cheap at half the price.

    A Great printer.......
You will notice I am rating the printer and not the customer service from Xerox. This will be my second one, and I have tried other Xerox printers and have not been satisfied with them as I have the C-11 and I AM VERY SORRY TO LEARN THAT IT WILL NO LONGER BE PRODUCED BY XEROX. However, I must say that the customer service from Xerox for repairs is not that great though the technical team seems to be ok. I have been over a week asking how much it would cost to refurbish my first one. It has a problem of not feeding the paper, probably rollers need replacing. Still no response from them other than - is it in warranty. Thanks Amazon for a great job on shipping the C-ll that I just ordered.

A versatile printer that meets all my needs.
I found the Xerox C11 printer meets all my printing needs. It is really fast when I am looking to print out mail notes or other black/white documents (grayscale, fast/save ink mode). When I am printing photos the colors are vibrant on the less expensive coated/matte paper. I choose not to use the much more expensive photo paper and I get excellent results on the coated/matte paper. My business documents get the attention they deserve and I always get positive comments on how the prints look.

I found the C11 very easy to set up and was printing 15 minutes after removing it from the box.

After using the C11 for several months I have found to be reliable and a piece of equipment I can count on.
