don't notice the color difference between this brand and canon...I like having the choice of a cheaper brand that works the same!

Does what it's supposed to do
Got the BJC8200 a few weeks ago and have been printing like a madman...the photo magenta was the first to go low. Got the nectron since Amazon doesn't seem to carry the Canon ink for this printer. Haven't noticed a difference...we'll see how long it lasts...

Office Depot(R) Envirocopy Recycled Copy Paper, 8 1/2" x 11", 20 Lb., 86 Brightness, Case Of 10 Reams

At least as good as the non-recycled stuff
I bought some of this a couple of weeks ago -- it was less expensive than other similar paper, and that recycled content (even though it's only 35%) makes me feel a little better.

When I brought the paper home, I compared it side-by-side with some sheets of another major copy paper manufacturer. The Office Depot stuff was just as bright as (maybe even brighter than) the other "name-brand" stuff. (both were 84 brightness, 20 pound weight). Save some money, save some trees, get paper that works just as well as the non-recycled stuff.

Excellent for B&W Good for color
My employer (a public library) uses a lot of paper in our copiers and HP color Laserjet 4550. We use a lot of the run of the mill "red box" 20# Office Depot copy paper in all machines. I've got them to purchase some of the "blue box" 20# Office Depot extra bright copy paper. On the laser printer, this is clearly better. The paper is much more opaque for double sided pages, but not that good.
We've had to make some special presentations, so we purchased 3 reams of this paper. It is so smooth. It is so opaque. It is so bright. Even compared to the extra bright copy paper this is awsome!

      HP Deskjet 672C
This is a pretty good printer. I've had it for about 4 years now. It is really high-quality and useful. It isn't so good on pictures, but I haven't had a problem with it for a few years. If you get this printer, don't ever get paper too small or too big, it will jam the printer and is hard to fix.

Sometimes, when I try to print blue or green it gives me purple or yellow instead, no matter how many times I get a new ink cartiledge. However, this only started last month, December 2003.

This is overall a very good printer, but with the recent blue and green problems I'll have to give it 4 stars. Thanks for reading my review. I hope it's helpful!

      Good things:
      >> It prints EXACTLY what is on the screen
      >> It is very high-quality
      >> It won't have problems for a few years

      Bad things:
      >> It isn't so high-quality after a few years
      >> It isn't so detailed for pictures
      >> It can be kind of slow sometimes.

      Great photo quality!!
I was worried about spending 500.00 for a printer, which I knew nothing about, but after reading reviews on Google.com I felt comfortable about doing it. The quality comes out great. You can't go wrong with getting this printer. One thing I did notice, it left a scratch on my prints, when I printed 4X6 images. I have not had a chance to see if it was a one time fluke or what. I'm waiting for more paper to arrive.

        Awsome Picture output and fast...
I got this ColorShot USB printer, basicly at a try and dump basis, it was [inexpensive], and I said, what a heck. So I bought this printer. It came with one pack of Spectrum Platinum film, with 10 prints. The installation was a easy and when I try to print an 800x600 24bit color image. The picture output was dot-free and fast. Only took my system (Piii 933MHz) 30 sec to print out. Sure, the image was resize to the polaroid film size (450x350 or so) but there is no visible dot or jagged edge.

The only thing bad about this printer is the film,..[other places].., you can get a 2 Pack (10 each) polairoid film..., that make it about $1 per print. The actual is so good, even my friends can't tell it apart from a regular polaroid camera picture...this is a great way to print out great picture... fast!

Not bad, especially at the price
I've had a Polaroid photo printer for several months and I quite like it. The user interface is a spartan one line text LCD and all you need to know about using the device is printed on a sticker on the film door. Pop in a cartridge of 500 series film (the cartridge includes the batteries that power the device) insert the CF card from your camera (a CF to Smart Media adapter is supplied, SD and memory stick need not apply) and print. You can either use the DPOF feature of the camera to select photos for printing (I recommend this if your camera supports DPOF) or use the up/down buttons on the printer to select the picture you want to print. Remember, there's no graphical display so you are selecting by picture number. The camera takes about 20 seconds to spit out your picture. How do the pictures look? Like you took them with a Polaroid camera. Colors are sharp and accurate and there's no visible digital artifacts (with my camera, a Kodak DX3600, your mileage may vary). The pictures are a bit small but that's due to the size of the 500 series film. There's no way to connect this printer to a computer so no drivers or anything to worry about. The printer comes with one film cartridge and a shoulder strap.
