How to use CD-200 with XP
Outstanding Dye-sub Printer at a terrific priceI've owned the Canon CD-200 dye-sub printer for over 2-years. It's a great little "work horse" of a printer. Well designed, easy to use and relatively quick (takes about 2 minutes for a print). I own a photography studio in Oregon and use an Olympus E-10 digital camera for most of my photography sessions. I make 4"x5" prints to put in folios for my clients. The Canon print retains much more detail than one made on an inkjet printer. At $.60 per print, this is a real bargain machine.

Great home printerI have purchased this printer 8 months back from Amazon. Great price on the net. I have been using the printer for ever since. THe printe quality is very good. Scanner and Fax works great. I even print photographs and a lot of material for home and my child's school projects.
I would recommend this product.
Great!Only had this for 2 days, so I'm sure something will rattle me eventually, but so far this is a great product. Fast, high quality pictures and print. Good copies. Easy to set up. Good deal so far.

High quality picturesClueless to the world of digital cameras, I knew that I wanted one that was easy to operate but high quality. After tons of online research I decided on the PowerShot A10. I LOVE my camera. It's easy to use, takes great pictures and the printer prints out high quality pics. I've taken this camera to baseball games and printed out action shots right then and there. However, the 8mb CF card this comes with is pretty worthless--only takes about 15 pics before it gets full. I bought a 256mb Dynacare CF card...and can now take upwards of 500 pics before it gets full. I highly recommend this camera for anyone!
ONE OF THE BEST ENTRY-LEVEL DIGITAL CAMERAS OUT THERE!!!The canon powershot A10 is an amazing camera for the price. It has features that the more expensive cameras have, but is one of the most user-friendly digitals I have used. A plus for this camera is that it uses common AA bateries. You can take about 200 pictures before replacing the batteries. This is the perfect camera to make the analog to digital jump. This camera also comes with some very handy software. With the included printer this is a must have for any level shutterbug!!!!

Top of the lineHere's the deal. If you can get the original cartridges for about the same money or less, then do it. but remember, major manufacturer ink compliations have patents on them. So, these aftermarket fakers cannot exactly duplicate the original ink formula or they'd be infringing on the patent! So, maybe the original is waterproof and the fake is not. Maybe the original is guaranteed not to get stale and the fake is not. Maybe the original drys faster than the fake. Maybe the orginal has greater lightfastness (resists fading) than the fake. Who knows, whatever the case may be, there will MOST LIKELY be some loss in document quality for using a replacement ink cartridge as opposed to the original. So, if you can get the original for cheaper than do it. It the fake costs about as much as the original, then go ahead a spring the extra couple bucks or so and get the orginal!
These are getting harder to find in the real wold. These cartridges work as well as the real thing. What am I saying? These are the real thing. The price is right (even with shipping.) and I sure beats trying to refill cartridges with syringes.

Picture (almost) perfect....This paper does what it promises - and does it well. Nice printing quality - not a glossy - more of a traditional printing paper texture, lightweight with easy to remove and adhere backing. A nice weight. I used it for photo printing to make a smooth, wrinkle-free photo cover on a book and it worked very well. I bought one pack to try the product out, was very pleased with both its photo and text quality. I will surely purchase again (and just for the record... I'm very picky about these things :))Upon adhering one of the photos, one corner did split a bit as if the paper was of 2 layers, with the photo curling up a bit from the paper attached to the surface but this may have been a fluke - and was easily remedied with a bit of photo-friendly glue.
Perfect to use for USPS Priority Shipping Labels!I bought this paper to use for USPS shipping labels. Labels seem to be a tad on the pricey side to use as shipping labels. (MY fault, not there's!) Since it is actually photo sticky paper...I should have used it for that.
The shipping is pretty slow...took almost two weeks to arrive.

Excellent color for a reasonable price. The Epson Photo 750 is one of the best color printers I have seen in its price range, and the heart of that quality is this cartridge. Colors are solid and rich, even at normal 360 resolution. The ink droplets are extremely small, producing smooth gradations and very sharp text. Unfortunately, the cartridge seems to be in limited supply, and not available at all in my area. Notwithstanding, it is a quality product.
This printer is CRAZY!I'll never stop loving this printer...and the ink is what makes it so good.

The best there isI have several photo printers. Epson 1200 w/ photo grey inks (for b&w work), 1270 for color, HP photo printer, then I got this. Brilliant gamut, waterproof inks. The only thing I wish it had was cheaper inks. Everyone I print for loves the prints.
What Darkroom? What an awesome machine. I have had my 7600 now for a few weeks and continue to be amazed by the print quality. Not one bad print! Awesome color, no banding. This machine has all the bells and whistles. Do yourself a favor and buy this printer!

Epson Stylus 900 - Use Genuine Carts ONLY!I was sucked into the hype from Rhinotek and decided to try them instead of Epson in my Stylus 900, since the Rhinoteks were more than 50% less expensive -- now, my printouts have gotten incredibly worse and I will never recommend knock-off carts to anyone.
I just HOPE that my print heads are not destroyed from the Rhinotek cartridges.
Can't Go To Wrong With Genuine ProductsI have a friend who had an Epson printer and went with the cheap substitution ink. After that, his printouts were sub-par at best. So I just use the "genuine" Epson ink cartridges and haven't had a problem. There may be some knock-off brands that are fine but at present, I'm not confident in them.

Super PrinterThis is a very capable printer and carries a moderately heavy load in my office. It prints crisp, clear and very fast (first page out in only a few seconds). I haved owned it for several months and it has printed tens of thousands of pages with no problems or jams. I was originally concerned with build quality as the plastic housing felt kind of light, but it holds up and continues to perform very well. As an aside, avoid the standard toner cartridges, they are used up fast, the extended use ones last much longer for a little more money. Highly recommend the printer.
Excellent Printer!!!!!I bought the 1200se printer for personnel use about 2 months ago from Best Buy in Schaumburg, IL and I absolutely love it. (I do not have the optional copy/scanner attachment). I read up on the following printers and it came down to the HP 1200se and the Brother 1450. I chose the 1200 for a few reasons. The HP name and customer service ...(GO HP!) I did notice a lot of talk of the paper curl but I don't think it is that bad at all. I bought HP paper and have not noticed any significant problems. The printer can print incredibuly fast and overall, I have not had any problems. I would DEFINITLEY recommend this printer.
Resize any .jpg image on your computer to less than 1 meg. Rotate the picture to landscape mode. Save the picture to a compact flash card. (The file size should be less than 400k).
Place the compact flash card into the CD-200 CF card slot and make sure that the button on the top of the printer is moved to the "CF Card" position. With the printer on, press the "Auto Print" switch.
This will also work with multiple images that are saved to the card, and will print every image, automatically.
It is not necessary to use a printer cable or monitor. just plug the printer into a power source.
Finally, a solution... Now I'll start to stock up on paper... again. :)
