Don't do it
I purchased this product January 13th. My charge card was charged the full purchase price within minutes. Still 2/9/4 and no produce. I have emailed American Solutions twice so far and not even a confirmation response let alone and answer. Amazone says I must wait 30 days well that is four days from now and I want my money back.

4500 excellent copies...
Some people complain about everything. As previous reviewers suggest, keep in mind your usage versus the 5% standard rating. If you like to print web pages, other graphics, etc., you will use up the toner in a hurry. That goes for any printer. I got 4500 + copies from my first cartridge, which was mostly text and some graphics. I am very pleased.

Toner Saver saves 20%
When considering the output of this cartridge, it's important to note that the printers it is used in have a toner saver feature. Using toner saver I have produced quite nice prints and managed to squeeze 20% more out of the cartridge.

HP No. 20 Blk. Inkjet Cartridge: TOO EXPENSIVE!
The HP No. 20 Black Inkjet Cartridge performs very well. My only complaint is that it is simply TOO expensive, especially when compared to other inkjet cartridges. I print a lot and have to replace my cartridges often, so I feel the brunt of the expense every time I need to purchase a new one. I would love and appreciate seeing the price drop drastically in the near future. If there is a reason why this particular inkjet cartridge is so expensive that I could understand, it would help to ease the pressure I feel because it's the only inkjet I'm able to use with the printer of my choice which prints on both sides...A feature I need to save on paper usage and space. Of course, this is just my opinion. What I print out pertains to my favorite hobby and I'm not printing out anything to sell for a profit. Probably, that's why I resent the cost so.

Excellent but pricey!
This is a very good cartdrige for a very good printer. The one problem is the cost of the consumables. The ink cartridges are expensive compared witht the price of the printer. I bought the 610C years ago and it still works very well. If the price of the cartridge was lower I would give 5 stars.

InkJet Cartridge
Great product at a great price. Super fast shipment - This is a great service.

I wouldn't recommend Iomega Zip Drive
I have used Iomega Zip since the early days of parallel Zip 100. As an IT Professional, I need my portable storage to be fast, convenient and 100% reliable. Unfortunately, the USB Zip 250 and 750 drives I possess are none of these things! The disks corrupt often and catastrophically - it is really frustrating, as the potential flexibility and convenience of this format is great.

Go the CD-R or CD-RW route, or even better, use something solid-state, but don't buy this product.

Better and faster than floppies, but recommend USB Drives
I've use zip disks for about a year now. Have to admit that at least i haven't had to worry about scratching them up like CDs but they're not all that dependable when transferring from computer to computer. The only reason i really used them was because I had to for my multimedia class in college. They only equipt a few of their computers with CD Burners and most have Zip Drives. Out of the 5 zip disks i used, 2 of them had problems which have caused me to spend extra time redoing corrupt files for class. While they work pretty well if u want to be able to carry some files around with you in your pocket or just toss it in your backpack, i dont recommend using zips to transfer your work between many computers such as for computer labs. USB ThumbDrives for me. They are solid state, fast, and dont corrupt as easily if at all.

Great stuff!
Though I hear people complaining that Zip disks are corruptable and break easily, I've never had a problem with them. I'm a student and I've used Zip disks since high school and never once have they gone bad on me. I've used them to store simple Word files to large computer-generated images and I find them a convieniant way to store big amounts information you don't want eating up valuable space on your hard drive. CDs may be cheaper to buy, but with a CD-R once you put information on, you can't edit what's on the disk, and CD-RWs are a tad bit more expensive, plus CDs scratch more easily and one bad drop onto a kitchen floor can crack them if you're not careful. I think ZIP disks are the best way to go.

Good quality for the money...when it works
I purchased this in the store on clearance and new. 95% of the time while printing color, the cartridge "stalled". I would have to open up the printer, take out and put back the cartridges, and start it back up. 50% of the time, Windows XP would lock up. I had all the drivers and patches installed from the Lexmark website, but it would not work. After a while, BW printouts started "stalling". So much wasted time and paper. I think that the cartridge holders were too flimsy and they would fall out of place during violent printing. My whole printer stand trembled while printing. Lexmark support never sent new cartridges, so I took it back.

Great value for the money
I have had this printer now for six months and I am delighted with it. I am studying textile & surface design and have used the printer to scan my designs and alter them on both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I have to say though that scanned color images do not exactly come out true to color, but what would you expect for such a price?
The copy function allows me to make single copies of documents in a cinch, and the fax function has worked well too, although you can only scan one page at a time manually.
I never had any software problems on my Sony laptop either.
In short, this is highly recommendable for the home user.

Great for the above average joe
I purchased the Lexmark x1150 ( which is my first printer ever) and me and my wife love it, it scans pictures great! it makes copies just perfact! I love it and it doesn't use a whole lot of ink. I love the option that it gives you to show how much ink is left and it alerts you when it is finished printing. Buy this today!

Seriously
This thing went through $38 cartridges like it was going out of style. The cartridges always clogged. It was a total headache. Do the smart thing and invest in a quality printer. Believe me I thought I could sneak by with this one. But you have to buy the usb cord ($12) and your first cartdrige ($38) so the total price is much more than advertised. Dont due it.

Junk in 27 months
Worked fine for 26 1/2 months, good quality. purchased new cartridges (Lexmark) shortly thereafter, started skipping. One week of Lemark email support and nothing. Total of 7 emails for support, none of their fixes cured the problem. Support does not read the emails, on my 6th email, support was going to ship an exchange as if I was in warranty. (I was not) My purchase date was in every email (Factory warranty one year) was just trying to cover my investment in new cartridges. No more Lexmark for me. Did not expect something for nothing. fed up with terrible support. Could purchase another Z31 to make cartridges good. No Way !

It's a good printer for a cheap price.
I had this printer for three years, and I still love it!! It's very fast and the black text is clear. I bought it for $80, real cheap!!! As for the colors, well...it's not top notch, but what can you expect for a cheap printer. Yes, the cartridges are expensive, but I re-use them by buying printer ink kits. They usually cost about $20.

So far, no paper jams and the program runs smoothly. The best part, with most Lexmark brands, they talk!!! I love it. It tells me when it's printing and it tells me when it's done. It tells me when I need to change the printer ink and it tells me if it needs more paper. Most of all, it's very polite when I do what it asks! I get a nice "Thank You!!!"

I highly recomend this printer!!

You're going to need this!
I recently got a Lexmark Z23 printer when I bought my new iMac. The printer works very well. However, you should know that in order to get a good solid black, you need to have the black cartridge. The color cartridge (10N0026) will provide a nice black, combining the magenta, cyan and yellow. But the black cartridge is almost mandatory for any real depth to your graphics. Or a clean type treatment.

Getting the MOST from your Z23 Ink Cartridges
Lots of people complain about clogged - yet not empty - ink cartridges. The Lexmark Z23 cartridges are no different. It is usually ineffective to use the Lexmark's software to clear a major clog. Better to simply remove the cartridge from the printer and set it in a shallow pan of warm water that just covers the nozzles. Soak it for at least an hour, dab off the water with a clean lint-free cloth and try it again.

If you like to refill your cartridges and find them clogging more and more often, refill them with just water - you'll be amazed!

Works fine with Compaq IJ650
I have a Compaq IJ650, which uses the Lexmark 10N0016 cartridge. I have this printer for more than 2 years and never had problem with clogged cartridges, as said in other reviews. It works fine and have a nice printing.

Waste of money
I got one from HSN for $9.97. It is cheap. But even at that price, I don't think it is worth to buy. Compare to my i470D, it is much slower and quality is poor too. For stand quality, it takes about 2 and half minutes. For high quality, it takes around 7 minutes. For best quality, it takes around 15 minutes. There was little difference between high quality and best quality. Even when printed in best quality, the picture printed by this printer is still not as good as my i470D. It is darker than i470D. It will take about 3 minutes when using my i470D to print high quality picture.
If I can suggest, don't waste your money on this junk. I recommend Cannon because I used i470D and found the quality is very good. So go for Canon brand. My colleage tried HP. She said HP is good too.Hers is HP Photosmart 7660. I also got an HP Photosmart 7260. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure it is good and much better than the Lexmark p707.

There are many better alternatives
Lexmark really tried -- they included the USB cord instead of shorting you, they included two standard ink cartridges (one black, one color) instead of giving you half-filled cartridges, and they priced it right.

Then they built it wrong. The black ink cartridge prints a slightly faint image, the color is useful only for office-type presentations (banding is prominent and the image is fuzzy if
you use it for a photograph, and the color reproduction is extremely poor) the machine is flimsy, loud, and far slower than the rated speed. The built-in photo slots don't work too well -- the transfer speed is not nearly as good as with a standard USB card reader, and the included software is clumsy and difficult.

My HP 930c is almost as fast, quieter, and though not billed as a 'photo printer' produces better images (and much better text) print. The way printers are improving, any time a 5 year old printer is better than a brand new one, you know there's something wrong. After rebates I only paid $15 for this, and it was so disappointing that I'd have sent it back if the cost of shipping weren't equal to the cost of the printer.

Short version -- it's just barely worth having if it's free.

Bargain Printer For Digital Photography
I first want to clarify the quality star rating of 4 I gave to the P707. For value at this price point, this baby gets 5 stars, hands down. For print quality, maybe 3.5 stars. But let's keep it all in context - if you want the best quality print, you know you're going to have to shell out more than $76. At this price, this printer provides excellent value. The P707 has slots of Compact Flash I and II, SD, SM/MMC and Memory Stick. It has auto print head alignment and can determine what kind of paper you have in automatically. In order to get it's best print quality, you'll probably need Photoshop or some other high quality photo editing software. The included software doesn't hack it. Total bargain at this price point.

Worst printer I've ever used (software is horrible too!)
This is an abomination! I had to return my first WorkCentre because the copier didn't work. They sent me another one and every now and then it goes into a loud "HUMMMMM" mode in which it won't print or shut up (it needs to be turned off for a few minutes to cool down). 'E1' errors abound all the time, forcing you to reload paper on average of every 5 print/copy jobs even though there is no paper jam.

On top of all this, the software driver acts also as a printer monitor which takes up significant system resources. The worst thing about this is when you print, or if the printer is shared and somebody else prints, there is a huge lag depending on the size of the print job, rendering the OS unusable until the printjob is completely sent to the printer. So basically, you can't use your computer for a minute or so after you hit the print button.

In short this is a very bad choice. Others I know purchased the HP printer/scanner/copier/fax and have had much better experiences.

Like Functions, but . . .
I bought the XE90fx when it first came on the market (through Amazon because it was not available in retail stores yet). It was the only machine that did everything I wanted for a reasonable price. I am now on my fourth machine. No, I have not bought more machines, rather Xerox has replaced the first three. On the first machine, the clip on the paper tray broke (it is rather flimsy). Xerox replaced that machine with a refurbished machine which did not feed straight. The third machine (also a refurbished machine) did not feed at all - right out of the box. Since we'd had so many problems they sent us another new machine. This one has developed spotting in the printing. None of them have been able to print on my letterhead (the ink smudges). I love the variety of functions, and wish it actually performed. Unfortunately, it is not nearly sturdy enough. Xerox has been good about replacing the machines, but after awhile enough is enough.

Great but Beware!
This machine is everything I want in a single machine and easily fits in my home office. Great quality! However, this machine will not scan if you have an AMD processor found in high-end Compaqs such as mine. So beware of that since the company does not mention that in any literature.
