Poor print quality
I purchased the 4016 about 5 months ago. The print quality has been really bad. I am suprised others in the reviews have not complained. The toner that came with it has run out. I will be putting in new toner and see if fixes the quality problem.

inks a killer
yes its a cheap fairly good printer but with toner @ 80 dollars a pop I'd think twice before purchasing again

Very Nice ESPECIALLY for $200
Being the cheapest laser MFC printer I could find ($$ after $$ rebate) I decided to go for it. It seems to use the same basic "engine" as the Samsung ML-1710 laser printer. Scan speed is fairly fast and the quality is decent. It prints envelops and small fonts just fine, but I couldn't seem to get the manual feed option to work with a 8.5x11" sheet of paper (it worked fine with an envelope). It does take quite a while to warm up and as for the toner save option - does it do anything? Time will tell. The paper drawer feels cheap and is made of plastic and it's quite a chore to get it back in correctly. But for the price it can't be beat and the option to refill it a couple of times with an aftermarket toner kit ($-$$) is the real clincher. No more expensive ink cartrigdes for me!

absolute crap
This unit is only for a small group of simple inkjet printers. The manufacturer does not mention this anywhere on the outside packaging. Check the manufacturers website for supported printers. The printer must be USB, and not require bi-directional printing. Range was about a dozen feet, not the 100ft advertised. You'd be far better off getting an 802.11b/g wireless printer server and add it to an existing wireless network than try to use the bluetooth set up. Multi-function printers, laser printers etc. will not work with this unit.

Is it slow? Yes. Is it under my desk? No
I no longer have to be a contortionist to load paper into my printer. Now I just step across the room and easily drop it in. However a color print job on my Epson C82 seems to be fairly plodding where it was relatively quick before. Text seems fine for small jobs. I am yet to attemp a photo. I have not been able to test the range yet but I can't imagine a need for a home printer 100 feet from me, I live in a condo for Pete's sake. If I ever need to relocate my printer to my balcony I will amend this post. Keep in mind that if you buy this you need two outlets. One for the printer power and one for the printer end of the adapter. I think I may actually relocate my printer to my bathroom just for amusement purposes.

Best Kept Wireless Printing Secret
Until wireless USB becomes available, this amazing gadget is a great way to roam and print. It functions as a wireless printer cable featuring bi-directional printing. Toss away your existing USB printer cable, plug in one USB adapter gizmo into your notebook, the other USB adapter gizmo into your USB printer -- voila, instant wireless USB printing. Its that simple (well, not quite, the printer adapter only worked when I used the supplied USB extension cable). The printer adapter requires use of the supplied AC-DC adapter (110v to 240v).

My computer is an HP zt3000 notebook. Printer is a Canon i80. Works great with the i80 although not documented as a compatible printer. Perhaps many non-documented printers will work also, YMMV. My wireless test range was 100 feet through one wall. The range is identical to my wireless router range. Aparently this gadget uses bluetooth, it is only pairs between the two supplied adapters, not possible to pair with any other devices (missed opportunity here).

This gizmo is better than using a print server because it allows bi-directional printing. However, I've got to wonder if there's problems with security or interference from other nearby units. So maybe its best to keep it a secret afterall.

Paper handling is poor
This printer looks great on paper but we had numerous & continuing problems w/the paper handling. There was a firmware change & that seemed to help but paper keeps getting coming out in bunches & output print gets scattered & totally unusable. At times it has been a disaster.

Works with Linux
HP has a reputation for making great printers and this is no exception. This printer works just as advertised. I downloaded the ghostscript driver for this printer from hp.sourceforge.net, recompiled ghostscript following the directions included with the documentation, and have been happily printing since. The downloaded source for the driver does not say it offers full feature printing, but it's close enough for me and probably most applications where this printer will be used, without having to purchase the PCL/PS upgrade or the jet direct print server. If you are looking for a economical, but heavy duty printer, this is it. Just spend a few minutes downloading and compiling and it works for Linux too.

HP 2200cxi
We own several 2200cxi's and all have performed great so far. My only complaint would be that they don't do double sided printing.

Great Price
Wow, only 110 bucks for a refill, thats more than the printer is worth, what a great deal!

It's the only game in town unfortunatley
Well, I burned thru one of these bad boys in less than a year and 4K pages. Too bad that NEC printers don't have any good knockoff alternative brand cartridges available.

Outstanding value & quality
My first 20-152 cartridge has lasted three years -- that's less than the cost of a ream of paper per month! Meanwhile, my partner has gone through two inkjet printers and $30-$40 per month in ink cartridges. We self-publish genealogical books, so the quality must be superior. An inkjet printer just can't handle this kind of high volume work, so whenever the camera-ready job comes from his PC (instead of my Mac), he borrows my laser printer. As far as saving maybe a few bucks with a cheaper supplier, I'd rather trust my purchase to Amazon, as they've never failed me yet. -- A Publishing Perfectionist

Not for digital cameras
I purchased this product for printing 4x6 photos from my digital camera. As soon as I opened it it was very thin, which is not for digital cameras. So if you are considering it for digital camera printing, I highly recommend you go with a thicker paper.

Excellent Ink Jet Coated Paper
I love this paper. It is a normal weight, but it prints beautifully on both sides with no bleed through. I use this paper with images I print from Photoshop, whether they be scanned or digital camera prints. I recommend it to anyone who likes matte paper, and, remember, it is coated with a ceramic coating which absorbs minimal ink, thus being cost efficient, without losing any color saturation.

xerox paper rules
This paper is truly double sided photo quality. It is VERY difficult to find a paper which will print photos on both sides equally well. This paper is also very opaque without being heavyweight. This means the image will not show through the backside. I have tested at least 6 other papers that claim to double sided. This is the only one.

not so good
the print driver and post script were changed from the old 850s. it does not render white or light colors very well. if it is not pure white at 255, 255, 255 it will print dots. it is very grainy with pictures. it does print solid color nice, but it drops candy specs on all printed areas which causes more ink loss. the old 850 would yield me about 1000 prints now with 8200dp i get less than 400 in yellow, and magenta. xerox's own tech support said the old 850 printed better graphics than the new 8200.

A good printer
I have been using this printer for about a year now and it has been performing well. I is installed at a school on our network. It was easy to set up and connecting to it is fast and easy. The only complaint that I have is that it must stay on all the time; otherwise it eats up about an entire stick of ink. The print quality is good, the time per page is reasonable and the doubles sided feature saves the school quite a bit of paper. Overall I would recommend this printer, just be aware of the ink problem when shutting down other wise its great.

Perhpas the best bet for small businesses
The DP model of the Phaser 8200 line is the best value. It offers the 1200 dpi photo mode, which yields excellent results and some of the most lifelike prints I have ever seen. Be warned: the printer needs to be kept on all the time (or you lose 1 ink stick each time it is restarted). This inconvenience aside, this is a remarkable machine. It prints very fast, with great 1st page out time (exactly as touted by Xerox) and the same great quality with each print, no degradation. Well worth considering.

The worst printer I have ever owned.
This product is above and beyond the worst computer product i have ever owned. The paper feed is just plain idiotic, it pulls paper down crooked and so photocopies and print jobs are horrendous. You will waste more ink and paper waiting for this thing to properly feed. This product was a disaster, go with hp, cannon, or some other ESTABLISHED printer company. You get what you pay for with Lexmark... JUNK.

Great Printer for the price
I just bought this printer a week ago and am very happy with this product. Installed in 5 mins and it was ready to go. The print & copy quality was excellent. Picture quality was good with 1200 dpi. I was able to fax a letter to overseas in less than 30 secs. I would recommend this product and it was low priced against its comparative products.

About the OCR software not installing...
The above person is completely wrong. I installed the software successfully on my home machine and laptop...both XP installations. I would say the problem is either A. an operator error or B. theres something wrong with the install shield on that persons machine. I dont think its fair to rag on a very good quality machine. Really cant ask for more in an allinone, copys, scans and prints very quickly and photo quality prints are decent, although i keep a higher quality printer around for my proof work. (im a designer) This thing will even blow up images to poster size. Top that all off with next business day replacement if anything goes wrong and its not a bad deal for what you pay.

Easy to set up, but very low performer
This unit took nearly no time to set up: the DHCP server on the network gave it an address instantly. It happily supports JetDirect (port 9100/tcp) printing, but performance is lousy. Even on a 100mbit network, it did no better than 58kbytes/second throughput measured during careful tests. Our application included >22 megabyte image files to a color printer.

For low-volume printouts (say, text reports from an accounting system), this looks like a winner, but for anything requiring any real throughput, it's not going to be too useful. The same image that took two and a half minutes using this device took eleven seconds to a real HP LaserJet 4100 printer.

No problem with the install
I installed this device simply by accepting all the defaults in the setup. I'm using an Epson 900 Stylus ink printer. It's the default printer for all the computers on my network. It's attached to a 10BaseT hub that is connected to a Linksys 4-port DSL/Cable modem router. DHCP is enabled in the router and the print server uses that for an IP address. It's all working with no problem.

Overpriced
This item can be purchased at a cheaper price elsewere,if you look around.

Not happy with the product
I bought two of these ink cartridges for my Epson Stylus 660 printer. Last week I replaced my empty Epson cartridge with a Rhinotek. I was very disappointed in the quality of the ink. It is very inconsistent. Sometimes it prints fine, while other pages are terrible. I will spend the extra and stick with Epson cartridges in the future.

Inferior product, clogs the printhead
I bought two tanks of this black ink from different sources (one from Amazon, one from a local store). They do last longer than Epson's own cartridges, but beware: they clog the printhead frequently! I wasted lots of pricy color ink as well as black ink having to run the printhead cleaning operation every other day. As an occasional user, printing a few pages each day or two, I felt like I was burning more ink than I was printing. Also, the Rhinotek inks produce an ammonia-like smell on freshly printed pages. I've switched back to Epson black ink. The print is just as rich, clogs happen way less frequently now, and my pages don't smell foul. I will never use Rhinotek inks again.

It does the job!
This cartridge does the job just as well as the name brand product while it saves money over the ever expensive Epson replacement. I've had no problems with Rhinotek and hope they keep up the fine product line!

HMD-A200 Production Problems?
I had a highly visible "distortion" problem with this monitor. Vertical lines near the middle of the picture were severely distorted. The monitor has built in adjustments to deal with distortion around the edges, but there's no way to control distortion near the center. I had high hopes for this monitor, but had to return 2 of them.

Ho-Hum
I got this monitor and was thrilled when I took it out of the box. However, whenever I display a white page, I get a really annoying hum sound. When I return to dark, it goes away. Besides that, it is a nice monitor, but now that I have had it 15 days, the store wouldn't take it back.

A great monitor
I bought this monitor second-hand for my mother, to go with her new computer. Everyone in my family who has seen it has been impressed with it. At first I was worried about the wire shadows, since some users have complained about them, but they are difficult to notice and haven't been an issue. Overall, this is a sturdy and well-built monitor with a good picture and one of the most stylish cases I've seen. It really looks and feels high-end. Though it may not perform to the standards of the most demanding users, it's great for anyone who wants a stylish mid-sized flat screen unit.
