In short it works, however ... the software under Mac OS X is very poor. To switch between the computers sharing the USB peripheral you need to have the software running, it uses space in your Dock and you still have to use a hot-key sequence. There is no menu option in the user interface to do the switch, and no help menu. In fact the entire user interface is quite unprofessional, the "About" menu is "About Hello" ???, which brings up a window with hello, hello, hello .. They don't even provide the manual or a README on the CD.

I expected it would come with a cable to hook up to the USB device, but it doesn't. So I am ordering a third cable....

Something went right today. Hooked it up and it worked. They also sell 4 port to one devise model too.

I bought this copier/printer to network with my computers. Like anyone who had computer experience I went and bought a print server. After many frustrating hours, I called Canon to find out the problem. I was told that the only print server that is compatible is the Axis 1610. I have looked at the manuals and the documentation. I have searched the web and NO WHERE does it state this. I feel a bit betrayed that this information is not stated anywhere.

However, as a ADF Copier it is fast and efficient. As a printer, the first page out is slow but all subsequent pages are quicl to print. Also, note the pages come out face up and therefore you must designate reverse order printing.

Just purchased the Canon D761 printer/copier (feb 2004). This unit only supports two print servers... and I never heard of them. So it is not "generic" to most servers and should not be purchased if you need that feature. Reasonable printer and copy quality.

Great copies, turns on for immediate copies, turns off by itself, very quiet.

The cartridge works, I know since I ordered three 2 years ago. I recently tried to order more and found I couldn't checkout due to an undefined error, after a week of emails I was told by Amazon customer support that there's a limit to the number of cartridges one customer can order and none of the items in my shopping cart can be processed until I remove this item.

So, be careful when you place your order, it may be your last opportunity. If I still have this printer I'll try again in another year to see if I'm allowed to order more ink. I'm not trying to complain about Amazon, it's just that I haven't noticed any indication of a limit on quantity, or the amount of time that limit is in effect so I thought others would like to know this before they place the order.

Yes it is just an Ink cartridge, but it's a real EPSON cartridge. Doesn't leak & works great. Get the real thing, even if it costs more, it's worth it.

The best way to keep up your Epson 900 Generic ink replacements do not last i.e. dry out or run thru like water.

Yes, it does give you good results; but after setting it up and placing the cartige just right. It would not tell me anything! No compatibility! However the Lexmark printer I bought told me everything and told me the ink amount too. Don't forget to clean the printer for an hour.

This black cartridge is very easy to use; I have an Epson Stylus C40UX and it is very user friendly, telling me when I need to put in a new cartridge, when/where to buy one, etc. I don't ever buy the off-brand ones because I did that once with a printer and had a very large cleaning bill. This just pops into place; very clean to manage.

this is a good ecnomical cartridge very east to install and gives great results. One of the best reasons to buy a epson inkjet is that the ink is quite cheap when u compare it to hp or other brands.

I own a Epson Stylus Photo 2200 and finished the original ink cartridges that came with the printer. I was shopping online for replacement and initially thought I could save some money by using compatible ink cartridges. I tried so with cartridges from www.123inkjets.com. Though I order all 7 cartridges, I tried replacing only the Lt. Magenta one first since I still had a little ink in the originals to play with.

Initial print outs were ok, however, when I was trying to put the printed photo into a particular tight photo frame, the photo was smeared and magenta related colour came off.

I tried with various photos and long drying time but still encountered the same problem. Had to return the cartridges, but I must say www.123inkjets.com had great return service. Perhaps I'll switch my company inkjets to them since we don't print photos.

The bottom line is this: If you have a Stylus Photo 2200, go with the original Epson ink cartridges if you value the print outs. Save those "compatible" type cartridges for non-photo printing (which you shouldn't be using the 2200 to do in the first place) or for photos that aren't very important and you don't mind smearing if touched.

I own a Brother HL-1240, so of course I have to use this toner cartridge. But if I had a choice, I'd try someone else's. The problem is always the same. After a few months of great printing (and, BTW, I print maybe a couple dozen sheets a week, if that), a vertical line develops down the left side of every page about three-quarters of an inch from the paper's edge. Don't bother with tech support. They'll tell you to clean the corona wire and drum, which I did a million times to no avail. Eventually I gave up, went out and purchased another cartridge, and voilà, problem solved -- for another couple of months anyway. And then you have to trash the old cartridge which, as you'll be able to tell from shaking it, still has a heavy load of toner left in it. Great little printer; lousy little cartridges. Suppose that's how they make their money, though.

The perennial favorite Brother 1240HL works hard for the modest price that fetches one of these machines. One of the most important reasons I originally decided to purchase this machine was to escape the netherworld of inkjet cartridges. With a rating of 1.6 cents per sheet, not only do you save money in the long run but you avoid scrubbing and cleaning and cursing every three months. Being that some competitors cartridges fetch upwards of 100$ this tidy component suits me fine and often I get more than my 3000 sheet rating.

I have nothing but praise for Brother printers and toner cartridges. I have had zero problems. No Jams and the toner cartridges last forever and I print at least 10-30 pages a day.

About 6 months after buying the S450, I started getting paper jams from hell. I called Customer Service and they replaced it with a refurbished model. 4 months later the same problem has surfaced. It wastes ink like crazy and the so called economical ink tanks cost a fortune since I was reprinting pages because of the very frequent paper jams. I never had this problem with my HP Deskjet which I owned for 4-5 years!!!

I upgraded and added a scanner in one fell swoop with this cheap and easy set-up. Cannon rocks!

At first I was concerned about the printer and scanner, and wan't sure whether it came with all the cables and ink cartridges. I was surprized to find everything was together and everything was included. The S450 printer prints extremely fast, is easy to set up, and last a long time. The scanner is equally as efficent, as photos are exact images. This is a wonderful product.

I have a lot of respect for D-Link products, but this particular one (model DSB-P36) can throw you a curve. There are two possible chips inside the connector, and two different drivers. One works with XP and one doesn't. If you look at the support site... they have a table that shows you the differences and how to tell if you have the right one. Read it before buying, or you may wind up returning it.

It was a nice idea, but not for my situation. I tried everything possible to get it to work /w ME, but to no avail. I wound up buying a new USB-compatible printer.

This is a very cool thing. I just bought a laptop, and I had an old printer. I went to [another store] and bought a parallel to parallel printer cable for it. When my laptop arrived.....no parallel ports! Ergo, I got this device and it works great! (Also takes advantage of the fast USB connection anyway!) The only problem was that the software that comes with it (which is required to install to tell your computer to recognize the USB port as a printer port) is on a 3.5 floppy, and my laptop didn't have one.

I recently purchased the Dymo Letra Tag system to use in my small traveling craft business. It is a dream. The cartridges slide easily into the system when you do need to re-load and there is no problem with jamming. I would recommend this to anyone who is in need of a quick, accurate, clear system.
