I have had exactly the same experience. I get 10-15 pages per *expensive* ink tank, if I'm lucky. I take most of my printing to the local library, rather than pay approximately $1.00 per page at home to print anything out.

I only get about 10-15 copies per ink tank on this one. I don't use it often, but at least twice a month for 10 copies each. It's happened three times now. I'm thinking "what a worthless piece of junk."

So I usually only get about 10 color prints out of these ink tanks...So I usually buy the Nectron Compatible InkJet Cartridge, it's cheaper, and it functions the same. But there's nothing wrong with this...other then the fact that it slowly dries out.

they could not find me. The second time he ship it thru the US Post
Office around Sep. 2. 03 and so far I havent seen my printer yet.

I was going to order the printer , however when I clicked on to purchase it, the price went from $39.00 to $89.00. Folks this is false advertising. I can see why Amazon.com has lost their creditability. I guess I won't be purchaseing anything from there. WORD TO THE WISE, WATCH YOUR WALLET.
The printer is a good one but not worth $89.00

My experience with Rhinotek B/W and color ink cartridges on an Epson PhotoEX (6-color inkjet printer) was a disaster. Clogged print heads are a major problem, especially with black, but also with color. I lost more time and money on wasted paper and ink (cleaning cycles) than I could have ever saved on this so-called cost-effective alternative. Going back to original Epson cartridges solved these problems immediately.

Bottom line: Stick with Epson ink for optimal results and lowest cost per print.

This completely clogged. No matter how many head cleanings, I can't get anything black to print. It must have congealed or something. Would not buy again. Would strongly suggest to you if you're not planning on using all the ink at once, do not buy this ink.

Printing quality was as good or better than 'name' brand. Unfortunately, the cartridge lasted for half as many pages/jobs as the Epson equivalent.

I figured, try it what have you got to lose? I mean, who doesn't want to save a few bucks every time they have to replace their printer cartridges. What you ask? I installed it, I printed, I cleaned the heads 6 or 7 times. It leaves black marks all over the paper. Use Epson cartridges. Apparently, based on these reviews, when the Dataproducts cartridges work, they work fine, but they only work SOME of the time..

I bought three of these ... 2 of them worked with no problem, but the third was dead out of the gate. Given how inexpensive, you'd think I'd feel ahead of the game, but I really needed that 3rd cartridge and had a ton of work to get done. So ... warning ... if you buy this, at least have a backup Epson.

Very happy with this cartridge. In my printer for 10 months and printed clean, crisp black for the duration.

I bought the MFC-4350 at $399.0 in Office Depot one year ago. i am annoyed by it now, because: 1) its toner catridge is very expensive ($169.0), a toner cost $39.0. 2) "600*600dpi" print quality is not good, looks like 300*600. 3) its catridage life has only ~1000 pages, not the company said 2000~3000 pages! 4) the copy quality is not good, less than 300*300dpi I am thinking of how to get ride of it now!

The specifications for this printer suggest that you can use it with Windows NT, but according to Brother, the driver is not available and never will be. You will have to use a PCL 4 driver which is very slow or resort to the driver that ships with the unit, which, in many cases simply doesn't ever produce a printout on complex pages.

Furthremore, I have been unable to find a way to reset the print queue in the middle of a print job. Pulling the power cord seems to be an effective solution, however, you will need to reset the spooler service on your NT Server as well.

If you intend to share a single phone line for inbound fax and data, the distinctive ring feature on this unit is its only redemption.

I've been using this machine for several months now and have been very happy with the performance. The laser printer is fast with good quality output. Cost per copy is much lower than the ink-jet machine I used to own. The fax machine has memory and laser output. I priced regular laser fax machines with similar features before buying this machine and found that they were more expensive, even without the printing features.

When I decided to use non-Epson cartridges, I was expecting slightly lower quality, some minor deviations of colors, but I could never think that it would be totally defective. The green color is completely missing. You understand what that means ?! It means that I have through it away, which I will be doing tomorrow morning after I buy the original Epson cartridge. You get what you pay.

Despite its low price and its claim of 100% compatibility, it did not function at all on my Stylus Color 600. All it printed were some stains. I tried to call their 800 helpline but simply was asked to leave a message. I would not recommend this item to anyone.

I have an epson stylus color 600 and just went through 2 of these black cartridges over about a 12 month period. Worked perfectly and I saved a bundle. Buying 2 more now.

7/4/02 -These continue to perform. Bought another, but obviously no one cares, so if you don't find this useful, please click you did anyway because I feel left out as everyone LOVED the other people's comments on this ink cartridge. Thankyouuuuu.

For a long time I had a dilemma - go with expensive Epson cartridges, or try non-brand substitutes. Then I decided to give a shot. I couldn't even imagine that the substitute could be that bad. Here are the problems I faced.
1. The yellow color disappeared al of a sudden. You can imagine the pictures lacking yellow color - everything is in black and purple tones. After applying the cleaning utility (supplied with the printer driver), the yellow reappeared, but it disappeared again after the printer was idle for several days.
2. The pictures have black vertical uneven markings. This probably pertains to the black ink cartridge.
3. The black color is not quite black, but rather dark gray.
4. I compared the colors of photo picture I did with genuine Epson cartridges and the one done by these cartridges - two different photos. The one made with Epson cartridges is practically identical with the picture on the monitor screen. The one made with these cartridges has wrong colors and looks kind of smeared.

It can't be more appropriate to remember the truth that you get what you pay.

I can't believe it. In fact, I didn't believe the other reviewer who said this cartridge was bad. I bought it anyway. Parts is parts, right?

Wrong.

The print quality was *in no way similar* to the Epson cartridges. Even after numerous nozzle purges, ink splattered all over the page, there were veritcal discolored lines in the photos.

Worst of all, it didn't quite fit properly. When I tried to remove it (following the instructions in the Epson manual meticulously) the Dataproducts cartridge got jammed in the cartridge housing (actually stuck onto the "spikes" the open the ink wells... my guess is the covering is not quite the same thickness as the original model) and so the cartridge cover (the purple plastic lid over the cartridge) wouldn't pop up. It took two printer techs almost an hour to extract it, and we were contantly in fear of ruining the printer.

We see no difference between Epson and Dataproducts. Other than a big saving's.

I'd like to know if anyone else out there was ripped by a company named Imaprint? They sold me 6 ink cartridges. All of them were dried up. I contacted the company and they said to send them back. That was in Dec. of 2003 I have not heard from them yet. I mailed them by using the US mail service and used Delivery Confirmation. They signed for it and that was it. Also I contacted Amazon and they were of no help to me at all.

Epson's ink has always worked fine in my Epson Stylus 640. If only it weren't so expensive. I just ordered cartridges from a third-party manufacturer; four black and two color cartridges and a head cleaning kit for the price of one black and one color cartridge from Epson. If the third-party ink doesn't perform, I'll replace my printer with another brand.

Great product. Never a problem for me.

I've had a 660 printer a couple of years and gone through 6 color cartridges. Four of them had a couple of the jets clog after 1 or two weeks. Running the head cleaner just wastes ink (a lot) without opening the clogged jets. Then you have the choice of throwing away a $30 cartridge you've hardly used or printing with gaps. I will not buy another HP printer. I've wasted more on cartridges then the printer cost.

I'm fixing to order mine but want to tell you. These ink cartridges have like a 60 or 90 day warranty on them. I had one that started acting up close to the deadline (don't remember if it was 60 or 90 days, sorry) so called HP. They sent me a prepaid mailer to send them back the bad cartridge and sent me a new working cartridge pretty quickly too. Just wanted to add this since it sounds like noone who wrote reviews here went this route.
