I bought one which is on its way, but I cannot help pointing out that the image shown is not consistent with an ARCH stand. Could someone please comment on this? Personally I believe such a dedicated piece of equipment should come with the TV, but that is a separate issue.

I bought this. Cool projector. Its well designed for small rooms

This is not the absolute best projector you can buy, it's a bit on the heavy side and bulky compared to the newest projectors on the market. However at 750 lumens and under $3,000, this projector is a great deal for a business without a large budget that still wants to do quality presentations.

This very light, portable projector is perfect for small conference rooms. It is easy to set up and connects in a snap to your laptop. Don;t leave home without it, if you can afford it!

The Gyration GP94455-001 is not the Ultra GT which is shown.

Bought the wireless "air" mouse and wireless keyboard with my new Gateway computer. Mouse died after working for about three weeks. Gateway sent me to Gyration for support - still waiting. Tried sending emails, they answered with a question which I answered but nothing since. Spent several hours waiting on hold on a non 800 phone line for someone who "will be with you shortly" but didn't come on line. Sounds like a good product if you get a good one, but heaven help you if you get a lemon. The keyboard worked fine and still does.

I purchased this mouse and the optional keyboard from staples about a year ago. This has been one of the best investments I've made. The built-in battery pack on the mouse holds up to about a week of continuous use either as being optical or a gyro mouse. When it does go dead, simply pop it on the charger overnight and its ready to go again.

At first I thought it would be like other technology gimmicks, but couldn't resist the potential sweetness of the idea. Over a year of continuous use surfing the web, writing reports, playing games and programming without a hitch. I use it mostly as an optical mouse, occasionally surfing the web with my hand dangling below my chair simply moving my wrist. When I want to watch a movie on my computer, I just take the keyboard and mouse and recline to watch the movie in my recliner.

Installation couldn't be easier...pop in the usb connector to the receiver and push the "learn" button for each device as described in the quick start guide. No drivers required.

One note of concern, gyration claims a 25' range, however in my dorm room (where cell phones sometimes dont work either) the range is less than that. If i sit the receiver on my computer case or anything metal, the mouse movement sometimes is choppy. Simply moving the base or adjusting the antenna usually fixes this.

My friend also has the same keyboard/mouse combo and hasn't had any problems at all. I'd recommend this setup over logitech or any other brand. If you like a laptop keyboard, you'll love this keyboard as they are identical. Battery life is amazing in the keyboard, 4 AA batters require changing every 6 months or so with even heavy use.

Your friends WILL be impressed.

The picture displayed is an X1 and not an X2 the X1 is a different projector. The lumens for the X1 is 1100

There is no Faroudja DCDi processing in this new device. So please change your information about the machine.

Have a spare Sony 15" flat screen CRT monitor, in good shape. Wanted to view VHS/DVD entertainment w/o adding another screen to my small space, so ordered and installed the N4.

The device produced images on the monitor, but the output quality was so poor, and the configuration via remote control and onscreen display was so fussy I decided not to keep it and returned it to Amazon.

No resolution setting or scan rate change improved the screen output (640x480 to 1024x768). Most disappointing was playing back a high-quality DVD (Twin Peaks box set) which uses full screen framing and having the image distorted (compressed horizontally giving skinny figures) no matter how I changed the settings on the N4, the DVD player or the Sony monitor. Infuriating! A VHS tape played more-or-less OK. Used the RF inputs for VHS and DVD and the S-Video inputs for DVD w/o seeing any improvements. Sound quality was OK -- it's just passing on the audio signal.

By way of comparison, playing the same DVD in the combo drive on my Dell laptop w. 14.1" LCD screen and DVD software gives a beautiful, full-screen high-resolution image, great sound and all the rest.

N4 setup was straightforward but printed troubleshooting information was very sparse and of the "check connections" variety. Nothing to help me solve the horizontal distortion.

It's too bad -- a device like this that really works would be a boon. I should have guessed this item was not a success given the small number of reviews and low rating.

This is my review for the N5 but I think it will do some good when it comes to buying an N4: whatever you do, do not buy the N4.

Now this is the one review you should listen to. Seriously. I bought the N4 because it was cheaper and I didn't care about closed caption or parental controls, wow, big mistake. The next day I returned it and got the N5, best choice ever. The N5's picture blows away the N4's, true it doesn't have surround sound support, but to me that's no biggie. The picture is crisp (when one sits a few feet back) and looks very close to that of a TV. My only problem is that when using this with a computer doing a VGA pass though, the computer screen is a but blurry, it's because of this that I strongly reccommend a dual input monitor. I'm running it on a 21" sony and it looks excellent. Also it supports wide screen, which is a plus for all us home theater buffs. In short, the N4 felt cheap and worked just that way. It also got extremely hot, too hot to touch, and did all this while skipping frames attempting to process Xbox.

I bought this cable to interface a PC with an S-Video output to a VCR with a composite video input. I was really disappointed. The picture had bands of interference in it. I thought this might be due to the computer, so I tried using the cable to go from an S-Video output of a DVD player back to the the same VCR. The picture *was* better, but you could still see faint intereference bands, espeically if the picture was more white than black. I finally bought a shielded RCA cable to see if the RCA cable was picking up the interference; still no help.

It's not like this adapter doesn't work. But it doesn't work well.

This is not the only Amazon video projector price that is not accurate. I tried to buy a 3m video projector for $464.00 only to be told the same story about it being an Amazon error and that the actual product for sale was a replacement bulb for the projector. Folks, don't get your hopes up. In reality, $311.00 is the cost of a replacement bulb for this product; the real projector sells for much more. Amazon needs to work a little harder to make sure its ads are correct. These errors reflect on the professionalism of Amazon and ruin the public's faith in the company.

at one time I tried to purchase it from alphacraze after I complete the order they sent me a confirmation for replacement lamp.
now I made again with a1books in amazon it is return my payment for this resone.

When I first set this up it performed perfectly - picture is great, I bought it for DVD play back and use a PC for doing just that; you can't beat XGA DVD play back using a PC. (well you couldn't at the time anyway, but you can buy HD DVD players now which should do just as well). 2 months later it kept shutting down with the Lamp Fail indicator lit. I phoned HP and after a few calls they sent a new lamp with little fuss, cheers HP! But the new lamp had some sort of problem and it produced bright patches on the screen (the kind I didn't want - by the way HP I don't think ANY of your users would be stupid enough to NOT try projecting a different image, DUH). After another couple of calls HP sent a second replacement lamp, cheers again. Everything was fine for a few months, but now the main cooling fan has failed, so the thing overheats and shuts down. I couldn't resist the temptation and opened the unit up (its just a bloody $5 fan crippling my $2000 projector):
THE GUTS ARE ALL BENQ! This projector appears to be a rebadged BENQ projector. Only thing is that BENQ's equivalent is only 1700 lumens / 200W lamp. HPs is 2000 lumens / 250W lamp. Is my HP fitted with an overpowered lamp perhaps? Did HP decide to squeeze too much from their (ahem... i mean, BENQs, or do I really mean ACERs?) design?
Conclusion:
This projector looks and feels like HP - but does it last like HP? I might be the unlucky one.

First of all, the picture quality of this is amazing and I had no complaints for the first 6 weeks before breaking down. It is currently being repaired at HP and has been out of service for 3 weeks. They have no clue when they can return it because of the number of people in front of me for there repair. I told them to just send me a new one but they wouldn't budge on there warranty policy. I just have to wait. So now Im out $2000 and have nothing.

Normally, HP would do a FedEx overnight exchange on this product but because of the back log of repaires it is not possible at this time. I can't help but wonder, if so many are in for repair, is there a reliabilty issue. If I had my wish, I would want my money back and get a different brand
