    Does Not Work With W2K
I am unable to work this with Windows 2000. The IREZ company's website has driver for Windows 98 only. Is it available as a shareware? Any help would be appreciated.

    not bad,but...
It's very cute! but I think the image is a little dark.........
I will buy another one for better image...

    compatible here compatible there
i really appreciated the fact that this cam is compatible with both my pc and my mac. i really switch back and forth w/ my preference, so it was good to be able to take my cam with me. additionally, the images are pretty quality, but a little grainy. however, for the price and the convienence... this cam is definietly great. additionally, its a cute cam, and comes in a few different colors that will suit varying tastes and such.

    S-U-C-K-S!!!
Oh man, what a load of poo this cam is! all the footage it takes has a green tint to it no matter how good the lighting, you literally have to shine it into a bright light to get it to go to a normal tone. the software is horrible. it freezes after about 15 seconds of recording, then you have to shut the program down via Alt+Ctrl+Del and the cams light stays on afterwards. so THEN you have to comPLETELY restart your pc. this happens anytime the cam freezes. this is a COMPLETE waste of money!

EZonics worst cam I ever bought
Not only did it not work but it also destroyed my operating system. I have a Windows 98 operating system and I installed the software that comes along with the camera without any instructions and the PC I was using for 5 years, quit loading Windows 98. This is the worst web cam someone ever developed. I bought it thinking it was a good deal in the goldbox offer but it ruined my Operating system.
My recommendation to you is DO NOT BUY THIS USELESS WEBCAM.

    Ezonics is great
I bought the Ezonics and find the image quality very good.

The lens is a bit "long" for chatting and you always feel like it should be a bit farther.

    Build quality is very good.

      It started out ok...
I bought this cam from Wal-Mart, brought it home, installed it, and everything was fine. A few weeks later, I was trying to get it online for my family to watch me on cam, and the output was just a green screen. At first I thought it was te free program I was using for the online web community. But I was checking out the cam and the batteries were corroded!! They were brand new batteries too! So it wasn't the batteries fault. I paid way too much for this camera. I bought it when they were $... and I took it back to Wal-Mart and only got $... of my money back because Creative had limited refund requirements. Overall a bad buy. I will never buy from this company again!!

      Very versatile for the price
Although it may seem expensive at first for a webcam, that is far from its only feature. It can also be used as a portable digital camera and voice annotation recorder. The 8MB internal memory is enough for more than 90 pictures at 640x480 resolution. Yes, the images can be a bit blurry and require you to hold the camera steady for a couple seconds, but don't expect miracles from something so inexpensive. The other drawback is that there is no video display, only a very basic three-character LCD. Fortunately there is enough memory to take more than enough shots for most occasions. It also comes with a carrying case which, while protecting the lens, shows off its rather odd profile by leaving the top two corners exposed. The included software is adequate but not extraordinary.

Pros: lots of memory, versatile, folding hinge and rubber strips make desktop use easy and steady, voice recorder, 640x480 resolution which is rare for many webcams

Cons: strange shape, feels too big and too flimsy, expensive

Bottom Line: This fills the gap between a dirt cheap webcam and an entry level digital camera, so you get some features from both. However, you may want to spend a little extra and get one of each instead of trying to use this beyond its capacity. The best alternative I have found while shopping is the Aiptek Pen Cam (may cost anywhere from US 60-90), which I still may get later because it is much more portable and looks to have better software. Nevermind the inherent cool factor of having a pen cam, just like James Bond!

      no OSX support
I just purchased your firewire iBOT webcam, and I'm very unhappy that I have to pay more for OSX support.
OSX is no longer new. How do you get away with selling a product and then charging more to make it usable with current system software???
OS9 is OLD!!!! Wake up!!! Not only that, i can't even download the required drivers....I have to have them shipped at my time and expense. WEAK!!!
      WAKE UP!
I am also a PC user...this is the last Orange Micro product I will buy.

      Terrible product
I do not recommed this product to anyone looking for a web cam. Not only was the product bad, but the customer service was non existent.

      Very Happy
Purchased the iBot firewire webcam for my Macinbtosh QS 733, OS 10.3.2. Easy 5 minute setup. Great clairity. Works good. What I was wanting.

Not XP certified, no tech support
This is a nice little camera with tons of problems on installing if your OS is XP professional. Try to find solutions at their web site is a waste of time as the FAQ sections consists of mere three entries, none related to the webcam.
Finally, once that you are upgrading or trying to upgrade the drivers, here comes a warning: "IT IS RECOMMENDED NOT TO INSTALL THE CAMERA BEFORE INSTALLING THE DRIVERS."
I am not impressed with the technical support from this company

      Waste of Time and Money
My husband purchased this webcam 2 weeks ago so that faraway relatives could see our 3 year old in action. In these past 2 weeks we have had to return it 2x and now we'll be returning it for our 3rd time.

Camera #1 - as we were installing the webcam and reading the manual, we realized that we were missing a key component - the audio connector. What good is a webcam with a built-in microphone if you can't connect the microphone?? Image quality was fine, though - we weren't expecting it to be crystal clear, given the cost of it, but it was decent. I wrote to Micro Innovations' support and was told to bring it back to the store to exchange it for...

Camera #2 - this one had the audio connector. Great! Not. The image quality was so poor and when we fiddled with the settings, it just got worse. In other words, this webcam was defective! So, back to a different store location in a different area of the state for...

Camera #3 - we, in our rush, forgot to check it out before we left the store with it. We were also thinking that there was no way a 3rd such camera would be defective. Got home only to find that it was missing the audio connector! Image quality is similar to what it was in Camera #1. I wrote to the support department again and this time I was told that the newer versions (what newer version? there was nothing in the box or manual that indicated it was a "newer version" and the manual still talked about hooking up an "audio connector") didn't have audio connectors so it was okay. Okay! That means the first one we had was okay too! Yay! What a waste of time! And not only that, the sound quality is horrible - there's this incessant beeping noise in the background no matter how far away from the speakers we put it, though the cord only goes so far. Don't know if we have it hooked up right (though how much room for error is there when all you have to do is plug it into the USB port?) or if this is yet another defective camera.

If only we could get rid of that incessant beeping in the background - we've tried troubleshooting and even called the support dept. at Micro Innovations to help and the support guy was unable to figure out what was going on, this would be a decent webcam, initial problems aside. The software included is fine for our needs, as is the video quality.

      What you pay for.
I bought this webcam at Staples for 30 dollars with a 10 dollar rebate. It's more or less pretty good in the right light and isn't terrible, but it isn't awesome either. It's basically what you pay for.

      Unpredictable And Poor Image Quality
This camera is completely unpredictable. The software is useless, and above all, the image quality is abismal. Don't beleieve everything they tell you on the package; it's just not worth buying.

      Bad stills, poor quality software
A similar experience to most here in the UK. Many hours wasted getting some degree of quality from the webcam feature, involved long long downloads from the creative support web-site (although this was easy to locate and use). Having updated everything, I still encounter problems with the "go plus" software which crashes if trying to delete pictures from the album. I agree with others: forget the "go" feature, unless you are going to use this in glorious sunshine, very close up. Anything else and you will get very poor colour, blurred images etc. Not being able to preview your photo before logging back on to the PC makes this a real problem. The above was experienced on a bang upto date Dell XPS B800R, 128 Mb memory and Windows ME.

      Best Buy!
For the price, and the versatility, you can NOT beat this camera. From the moment I pulled it out of the box, I immidietly starting taking snap shots with the built in camera feature, as I was setting up the camera on my pc. I didn't have to wait long, as I didn't even need to restart (Windows XP), and began to download the photo's and live action video that I had just taken. If you're thinking about getting a webcam just to talk to friends and family, and need something to 'capture the moment', then i cannot stress the excelence of this wonderful device!

      Very disappointed!
I'm returning mine in the morning. Image quality is terrible in normal indoor light. In low light it's useless. Even the slightest movement is a blur on the screen. It looks cool and has a nice travel case, but if you want a functional camera, this isn't it. I'll stick with Intel.

      Very bad product
Its been two days I've had this web-cam. Very dissapointing... I literally need to sit under a table lamp to to be able to see any pictures clearly. Under normal light, the recording is too dark -- to be visible.

I'm dumping this and buying a logitech tomorrow... Its not even worth 10 bucks.

      acceptable
I've owned this cam for some months, and its perfect for me because I travel constantly. Yes, it struggles in low light (interior light, which is where one ususally is) like a digital camera, but if one turns on an additional lamp, the image is acceptable. It has a great, rugged little carrying case, and the whole cam is tiny; perfect for mobility. And, it's best characteristic...it is easy to use and very reliable. For lest than $50, I have not been tempted to return it.

        garbage
don't waste your money on this web cam, spend an extra ten to twenty buck more and get yourself a good camera for the PC. forget buying this peice of junk.

        it's terrible!
I've had a very terrible time with it.
First of all, the color is terrible! I tried to adjust it but still it doesn't work!
        The image is blur also!
And, it caused my desktop to reboot several times!
I just can't bear all this anymore!
By the way, it says it works for Windows 2000 and my system is Windows 2000!
Try something else and forget about this one!

        Really good for the price
First of all this camera is nice and small causing it to fit nicely on your pc. The installation of the hareware was quite easy. It just askes you a few questions for more user freindliness, nothing all that different from other program installations. The still pictures that you can take with this camera are pretty good. Of course when it's dark you will hardly see a thing with the camera because it does not contain anykind of flash. What I do is I just aim a lamp to what I'm taking a picture of and it works just fine. It has a manual focusing lense to let you get the clearest picture possible. The pictures are slightly grainy but, it doesn't really bother me considering the low price and the fact that the picture is still clear. The video camera feature I realy enjoy. It gets up to 30 frames per second which is not choppy at all. It doesn't really miss the fast movements that you may be trying to catch. Lets say your clapping you'll get each clap on video. The picture quality seems to be slightly better with video than still. The only negative aspect I found about this product is when I took a picture, I saved the picture to another file besides the default one and each time I want to save another picture I have have to search for the folder I put the pictures in. I could not change the folder, so that each time I saved a picture I would not have to click on c drive, program files, etc. The default stayed as default. Besides that problem this camera is great, especially for those of you who just want something easy to send a quick picture or video to somebody else. This package also includes a video editing software, I haven't used it yet but, it looked easy enough to figure out. I do recommend more people look into buying this camera. I am definately satisfied with it.

          the most horrible lil device
I am a computer geek myself but couldn't get this working. the camera gives a USB bus error when connected in Win2K. more investigation reveals it wants more USB bandwidth than is available. i have a host of other products(cameras too) running on my USB but this is the only one that gave this problem.

          OSX and irez kriiters
i have a kritter USB 1.0 which worked fine with my Mac OS 9.2

i recently upgraded to OSX and found that the reeleyes driver program that came with the camera is not made for OSX. i contacted irez and they said they have no plans to make it for OSX. so i had to buy a driver (for $$$) from a nice and friendly company called ioxperts.com. now things are fine, but i wish irez was on the ball enough to keep up with OSX. and finding any specs on their site is pretty much hopeless.

          Very Poor camera
In my opinion the resolution is terrible and the company support of it's product is just as bad. Try getting the drivers for this camera from them without being charged. Camera will probably be obsolete in a week anyway.

          Don't even bother!
This is the worst camera no matter what you spend for it! I had it installed and after 20 minutes uninstalled it!! I bought it because of the Logitech name. Won't rely on them for webcams... Very, very grainy picture with a lot of lag! Also very dark picture! I am running a Dell P4 Dimension 8300 with 512M RAM and Windows XP Home Edition.

You can get better cameras for the same price...
Well, I got this camera recently for 79 CAD at Staples and despite the bad reviews, it is easy to install and it works fine (it is probably good enough for most users). The image quality is not great but you can't expect a lot from a webcam. It works well with low light and it makes reasonably good videos. Don't try using it to take snapshots! The quality is awful! The software that came with is not very good and I didn't manage to broadcast videos using it (I had to download other softwares from the internet). The camera design is not too bad but I agree with one of the previous reviewers that said that the camera base doesn't hold it very well. For the same amount (or a little bit more) of money you can get detachable webcams that can be used to take snapshots and will produce images with the same quality.

          Good starter camera.
This is a neat and easy to install webcam. The picture quality is not brilliant, but it is about what I expected. The base is not a great design, I have it mounted on top of the monitor, but I don't think it is very secure. The base should mould onto the monitor surface better.

I got it for sending photos of the kids to my family. For that it is cheap and easy, and the kids love playing with it, and seeing their photos on screen.

At that price it is hard to go wrong! But for real quality photos I know I will have to shell out for a proper digital camera.
