Does its job, what more could I ask for?!
I bought this with a Magellan sportrak pro GPS unit. I already knew about the connector being shared with the data port, but since I don't have a laptop, I didn't want to waste the extra money to get the dual cable.
This item does exactly what it is supposed to. It works great on long drives when I don't have to worry about draining the batteries down to a point where I can't use the GPS unit at the destination. Attaching and detaching the connector using the D-rings is a little more involved than something that can just be plugged into the GPS, but obviously, making the GPS submersible involved compromises like this. I can live with that.

Excellent but limited
This power adapter does the job. It's neat because it can handle a wide range of voltage inputs. It has a small in-line power box that adjusts the input to fit the needs of the Meridian. The problem I had is that I bought it before realizing the power and the computer connection both use the same strange I/O connector. So if you use this adapter, you can't connect to your laptop. The solution is to buy the more expensive dual cable version that has both battery cord and serial cable attached.
-P-

Great product, pays for itself!
I'm also a Geocacher, and I have to say this is a great product! I've been wasting money on rechargable batteries, but now I don't even have to worry about batteries at all. Good for long trips, too; because you don't even have to have batteries at all. A must-have for anyone owning a Meridian GPSr!

Great Fun
What a great game. Graphics are execllent, works great on the Tungsten, and is is just good fun. I would recommend this card to the game enthusiast, as well as those looking for a break from the day - day.

Fun new game!
This is the best game I have ever seen for the Palm OS! I haven't always been a gaming enthusiast, but I absolutely love playing this one. I recently upgraded from an m505 to the new Tungsten T, and it works really well on both. I would highly recommend this game!

Awesome Game!
Awesome way to pass the time in those boring meetings. I use mine with a Tungsten T and it looks awesome. I highly recommend this card.

best of bunch
The module program does not crash like other downloaded programs. The biggest plus is the feebie desktop companion that allows storage and entry of pgn files. While this may not be the strongest program available, it has more features. I love being able to load game repertoires, endgame puzzles, and famous games.

I'm a beginner
I recieved my PocketChess as a gift. I'm just learning to play so the hints and ability to undo moves are really helpful... The graphics and color schemes are awesome. I have created a few of my own. I haven't checked out the game databases yet, but I did download the desktop companion so I could review my own games on the larger screen. This is such a great choice for anyone interested in learning the game.

Great New Chess Game
Overall this is a great chess program and definitely worth checking out. The engine is really smart and you can set the difficulty level of the game and hints, play around with color schemes and board styles, and review a whole game database of the Grand Masters. I really like that I can import and export games from PC based games. Its been helpful for improving strategy, you can try out move variations, set-up the board to work on specific problems, and add comments and annotation for each move. It also has a really cool Blindfold chess.

Best AM performance on a pocket radio.
Excellent sensitivity and selectivity (both front-end and IF) on the AM band--at least equal to and usually superior to the Sangean ATS-909 (digital AM/FM/SW/LW receiver). Analog tuning very easy despite the technology. Single alkaline AA cell estimated by Sony to last 140 hours on AM. No "soft" on-off switch, a plus to prevent accidental power-up. Battery compartment hatch is attached by hinges and snaps shut securely, so it won't just pop open if jostled nor get lost. Note: lack of speaker is also a plus; a speaker on a radio this small would be next to useless, as it is the case with the Radio Shack Optimus (cat. no. 12-610), another analog AM/FM pocket radio just slightly smaller than the SRF-59.

Fantastically awesome radio!!!
Over the years I have bought various "walkman type" radios from various manufacturers. This Sony is a fantastic radio. I have owned analog and digital tuners and find the sensitivity and selectivity of this radio to be on par, if not above, digital tuners. Don't let the low price and non-frills appearance fool you. The sound is top rate and the output is sufficient to drive the headphones with very little input from the volume control. Sure you don't get some features that one gets with digital receivers, but I listen to one station while exercising so channel surfing isn't an issue. I am very well pleased with this radio and for the money, you can't beat it.

Best AM reception
This radio has the best AM reception of any portable that I've heard. Better than a Sony digital tuning portable radio, better than the various cassette/radios I've owned, better than an expensive Sangean portable that I tried. I also own a Grundig Yacht Boy and the AM reception is at least as good (using the reel antenna on the YB). It even has a local/dx switch, just like the Grundig. I should point out that I use this primarily at work, in a high-rise building in a city.

It's small enough to fit in shirt pocket and is very light. One NIMH AA rechargable battery will power this radio for over 40 hours (the length of a work week).

Though not in stereo, FM reception is also very good. This is an analog tuning radio, so it can take a little time to lock in some stations.

Currently I am on the third of these radios. I drop them a lot and after a 2-3 years of abuse, the antenna is dislodged, which ruins AM reception. This is my fault and I plan on being more careful with this latest one, maybe wrap it in foam or something to cushion it.

This is a great little radio that you should not overlook in favor of those with more features.

Replacement CA-25 Info
The Radio works well for a plain Jane CB Handie Talkie. Other reviews state that a CA-25 is a hard item to find. I am using a 12VDC@500 mah AC to DC adapter I had in the junk box for a charger. The Voltage is up about 15-16V unloaded which the 9 nicads at 10.8-12 Volts after internal circuit drop yields a safe slow charge rate to charge the nicads overnight. I found that the charge LED gets dim after the radio is "charged". This has worked well for a radio that is rather inexpensive and works well for the price. Other than a squirt of contact cleaner on the volume pot.. I have had not problems with mine..

Let me know if u find the charger... I need one too... lol.
If you find the ca25 for the hh28... please let me know... on here or whatever... thanx.

Cobra HH-28 review
This is a very high quality radio for the price. The range and clarity are great. The only problem I have is that I can't find a CA-25 charger for the unit. Any ideas? ....... Thanks.

A necessary redundancy
I had to buy a second adaptor to keep at home or for traveling when I'm away from the office. It's worth the expense for the convenience.

HP ac adapter
I was pleasantly surprised with the service. I placed an order and it seemed like it was just about 3-4 days I had my adapter.
I am also pleased with the product it gives me more versatility, since I have now one for my office and one for home.
Thanks again for the quick response.

Invaluable for Jornada owners
There isn't much to talk about with this item. If you use your Jornada in more than one place, you need one of these, no question about it. Sure, the Jornada is designed to be a hand-held item, but you'll find yourself sitting somewhere near an outlet as often as not, and if you use the Jornada for various power-draining activities, like listening to MP3s or using a PocketFlash modem to connect to the Internet, you might as well use AC power. I keep mine at work and my docking cradle (with its own AC adapter) at home, so my Jornada is charged 95% of the time. It might cost a little more than you'd like to pay - what Jornada accessory doesn't? - but as with other accessories I have, it's more than worth the money, especially if you've ever run your battery down because you weren't keeping it charged. Even if you aren't using it, you can lend it to a friend to charge his or her Jornada. I've had mine for months and not had any problems with it.

Super GPS
This is the first GPS I have bought. What a steal at $229.00 on amazon.com. It was very easy to use once you are familiar with the interface. I didn't really need the handbook to figure most things out. I highly recommend it.

1st Timer
I needed to find an address to a birthday party in a city that I wasn't familiar with. I typed in the street name via "gaming genre" A-Z list. The 1st street on the list of many streets in many different cities was the one I was looking for. Listed by closest destination, I guess. Anyway I pushed enter & it drew a route for me. I also entered the address. I decided to take a different (freeway) route which is longer than the suggested route. Since I disregarded the 1st turn, the turn instruction display stayed there throughout the entire trip until I reached the target street. At which point it guided me to the right address on the street with the highlighted route line. Anyhoo, I did not need directions to get to the general area of this city. I just needed details, which the unit provided perfectly.

The cursor moves diagonally too, though not marked.

I have no experience with any other GPS systems. I can only say, as a novice, that I love Sportrak Color!

$229 is a steal. Get one!

1st Timer
I purchased the Sportrak Color from Amazon for $229. My local retail stores listed it at $349-$499. The reviewer that stated that the this unit is hard to use and is non-intuitive gave me great pause before purchasing it. With such a great price vs. all other listings, I went for it anyway. I'm very pleased with the system. As a complete GPS novice and as a test of the systems ease of use, I did not read the instruction manual. I only turned to the page that identified the functionality of each button. Anyone who has ever used a computer or played a video game can operate this unit intuitively.

I also purchased the MapSend Direct route software. I uploaded most of Michigan on it and started browsing streets in my general area that would require several turns to reach. I put the cursor on a street and pushed the GOTO button. It instantly asked me if I would like to go there. Neat, huh? I used the unit in my vehicle, laying it down in the center console. It guided me to the street with audible prompts, visual direction arrows, and street names to turn at.

I don't claim to know anything about GPS, but I love it.

I intend to use it for street directions and fishing spots.

It has a compass, barometer, altimeter, Color disply, and is VERY easy to use.

Great Protection at a low cost
I bought this case after buying and discarding lots of others. I have to say that this is the best case I ever bought to protect my PocketPC. Don't let the low price fool you - this case provides great protection for the cost and has lots of features not offered by other more expensive cases. It is generally weatherproof, has 2 loops inside to hold batteries or a pencil - I use mine to hold my old Newton stylus ; ), has an outside belt loop, has inside pockets for cards and money, and even comes with velcro attachment inside for securely holding your PDA. This case is also a perfect fit for a Sharp Zaurus SL5500. Very well padded - especially on the rounded corners where you are most likely to drop the thing and crunch your PDA (Murphy's Law and all that). I can honestly say that this is one case I don't worry too much about dropping with my PDA in it. The only drawback (not a big one in my opinion) is that it is not leather.

Godsend
This case is great beyond words. I shopped online for about 20 hours and found this case for my compaq ipac. I only bought it because it was so cheap but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise.
Something that is not obvious from the product description is that the case, although the outside and inside is this foamy material, it is pretty hard. I think there is a three layer construction with a very hard rubber layer in between two foam layers. It protects my ipaq well. I dropped it from about five feet accidentally but I felt safe that my ipac was not damaged and it wasn't. I carry it along with my books in my backpack and it gets crushed in there and I feel that my ipac is safe. Although the case is very durable and protective, it is not that fat. I wanted a case what was slim, and it is still small enough to whip out in front of my fashion conscious friends and not be embarrased that I'm carrying this huge nerdy organizer.
Also it fits my ipac well. I thought i would have a lot of extra space on the side because of the batterry room but the extra room is easy to not notice. Also, if you use the ipaq sleeve, it could fit it too, although you have to press it closed, then zip it.
I got the red version, which is a little brighter than the color shown in the picture, which makes it look better and more sporty, in my opinion.

Great case!
I bought this case as a gift for a friend after he admired mine. It really does protect my Handspring well. I really like the holder for extra batteries, because I have them when I need them, and if I've used them, I do notice.
