Nice While It Lasted
After about 12 months of non-reckless-use the MP3 audio jack went bad, only delivering one channel of sound. Shortly thereafter, the jog rotary dial stopped functioning. At the 18 month point, the touch screen gradually went farther and farther out of calibration to the point which it became unusable. Sadly, I can no longer use the PDA and it is destined for the electronic graveyard.

Slick PDA
I picked this CLIE up last year when it first came out. I have been really happy with its performance overall. This CLIE does everything a PALM would do, and it adds a much better display, (color, very sharp), and an MP3 player. I travel one to two times a month and this CLIE goes with me everyhwhere. Not only does it keep my schedule but I slap on a Targus keyboard and I easily compose word documents. This is also handy for graduate school as a laptop is cumbersome to have in class, the CLIE simply makes taking notes easier, and takes up less space. This CLIE is visually pleasing in appearance, and performs at a high level.

Another great part of this CLIE is that it has the memory stick technology. Part of the travel I do requires working with a digital camera, I can take pictures, and view them on the clie simply by transfering them via the memory stick. You will be happy with this PDA, and soon your CLIE will go with you everywhere.

Amazing!
This clie is the best. i had it for about half a year now. My dad has a better one but mine is just fine for games and schoolwork. I defitnetly Reccomend this item. Shoutouts ZAK lol jk

A good back up for military field usage, but not a replacemn
I ordered this watch to use during my Army Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) 20 Nov-13 Dec 2001 class. My intent was to use it as my primary compass, just as I had the used my Suunto 'analong'wrist companss as my primary during IOBC and Ranger schools. The Advizor failed me in that aspect. Its North pointing arrow is a digital dot, opposed by a digital "tail" of three dots on the south side, making it a cool tool and a toy, but not a precision instrument. Hence, I could not rely on such a civilian system to earn me my SF selection. I ended up using the army issue compass to find my points on the STAR and the TREK. Since then, I use the compass when I am driving, or when I am lost in the underground road system in my city, where the Sun is not visible.

As for other elements, I use the heart rate monitor for my runs. That is the most use that I get out of my watch. But it is very very complicated, in that I have yet to learn how to opbtain the highest pulse, as well as the average pulse per workout.. The altimeter and barometer functions are useless to me, as the terrain in my area is so diverse, that terrain association alone can locate me within 50m of my location.

So for you soldiers out there, Suunto analog wrist compass (do not recall the actual name) that is available in AAFES clothing store is your best bet for compass. This watch is useful only if you are out to get a heart rate monitor, but wouldn't mind paying a bit extra for a "last minute back up compass" that also shows time and air pressure. Oh, it is water resistant only to 30 meters.. So you NAVY SEALs and SF Scuba dudes, stick to your G-Shocks.

Krusader, Out.

Great watch with slight durability problems
I have owned this watch for about a year and a half, and it has been great. I liked the heart rate monitor for cross country running (although I didn't "use" it exactly - I tried it out and though it was cool, but didn't go so far as to incorporate it into training.) The altimeter is great - I like to use it as a reference for orienting myself on a map (if you're lost on a trail, find your altitude, match it up with that altitude on the trail, you have a rough idea of location). My only complaint is that after awhile the bazelle on the compass wears and breaks off. I have met other people who experienced the same problem. Suunto has a 1 year warranty, so be sure that yours breaks by then so that you can send it in to be replaced. Overall a great watch. My dad gave it to me as a present so I can't complain about the price (which is very steep).

The Best Training Tool Ever For Endurance Athletes
I after drooling over this watch for two years wishing I had one, I finally got one and have had my Advizor for two months now. All I can say is that if I had known how cool this thing really was, I would have shelled out the $300 a long time ago. Each one of the features listed above does everything you could want. The Heart Rate Monitor has target zone settings, average workout heart rate, highest and lowest hear rate, and more. The Altimeter tells your rate of ascent, total vertical climb and stores all the data from recent workouts in memory. The coolest feature is that it will store your heart rate, altitude and rate of ascent/decent at intervals from 20 seconds to ten minutes so that after a workout you can scroll though and see how your heart rate was affected by altitude and acent rate. I got completely geeky with this information after one workout, and I typed it all into my computer so I could see what it looked like. The only drawback to the Advizor is that it gives you so much information, it would be great if you could download it directly to a computer for analysis. There is no PC link, so any analysis has to be done on the watch or typed in by hand. But other than that, this gizmo is perfect. No problems at all so far and I use the thing for two workouts a day. I am a cross country ski racer and for a long time I had thought that this would be the perfect training aid for endurance athletes and now that I have tried it I know that it is.

Small, But Reliable?
I've owned this phone for 2 years now. In fact, I am reviewing it now because I am looking for another phone to replace it.

I got the phone 2 years ago at Walgreens in Brookline, Massachusetts. It was only $10. Here at the Pros and Cons of the phone:

PROS:

Lightweight
Small
Glow in the dark keypad
Re-dial

CONS:

Flimsily made

Won't last over 2 years

Materials used are so cheap, it makes a Kia look like a Mercedes-Benz.

When you press the "Hook" button, you will hear static. This relates to the cheap materials.

Headset it comes with is more flimsy than the phone. I threw it out before using it for more than a few days. Go out and get a REAL headset from Radioshack or some other electronics store.

After a year, static will become more prominent, and will get so loud at times, you can not hear the other person on the line.

THE BOTTOM LINE: If you want a cheap phone to use for a year, by all means, by this product. If you are planning to use it for more than a year, find something else. Believe me.

What a Phone!
I really like it. It makes everything easy. A must buy for people that talk on the phone a lot!

GREAT PHONE!
This phone is GREAT! Especially for people who like to roam around the house while on the phone! it was the best item I have ever gotten online! It's very small and very easy to use.

Good Radio ...Some Basic Problems.
I did some research as the manufactuerers page didnt give much infomration.

Good -

1. Extremly chic looking
2. Digital compass
3. FM radio.
4. Thermometer.
5. Good GMRS range.
6. Water resistant (good for outdoor adventure use)

The Bad-
1. Costs 110$ for a pair.
2. No batteries or Vox kit included.

The ugly-
1. Batteries cannot be charged in the unit. Need a seperate charger and batteries!
2. The transmission power is fixed to 2 watts. Cant reduce it when required.

Great Radio

It has good range and I like the weather and fm radio.

Okay case for Palm
I ordered this case because I wanted something to hold and protect my Palm IIIc. This is a professional looking case: real leather, with room for ID & business cards, and has sufficient padding to protect my Palm should I ever drop it. I have stopped using my wallet, and instead put my money, ID, credit cards, etc. in this case.

The self-locking closure (listed in the product description) is not what I expected: I expected either a snap of some sort, or a magnetic-type closure. The strap used to close the case merely fits through the loop on the front; there is no snap or anything to hold it closed. So it doesn't stay as securely closed as I had hoped it would.

I do like the fact that there is a pocket for my Palm. I shopped for a while before I decided to purchase this case instead of one which only used velcro to hold the Palm in. Also, my Palm is just a tiny bit too large to fit comfortably in the pocket. Width-wise, it's fine, but it's a little too long, so that I don't have really easy access to the top of my Palm Screen. It's easy to get my Palm in & out to Sync it. While this case has room for a pen and your stylus, I find that I can only use the stylus holder, because if I put a pen in it too, the case doesn't close very well.

Overall, I'm satisfied with this case--it's not great, and it's not bad.

i have a question about a case
I just want to know if the sumdex leather deluxe pda wallet can hold the psion revo

Nice Accessory For Thinmodem
I use this adapter more than the cable that came with the Thinmodem. When traveling, I don't always have a jack to plug into. It's much easier to find a phone that I can unplug the wire from the phone and connect to this adapter. Also, most telephone jacks are usually mounted near the floor and are usually difficult to get to. Again, it's usually easier unplugging the telephone wire from the phone and plugging into this accessory. Plus, when I don't have a phone line to plug into, I can use my Konexx Koupler and attach to a payphone. It's more convenient using this accessory then using the cable that comes with the Thinmodem and an inline phone extension adapter to allow me to plug in the accoustic adapter.

One problem is don't carry it in your pants pocket. It was convenient to carry it with me in my front pants pocket. I guess the constant bending and moving has stressed the wire going into the connector and mine has developed a short after only a couple of months of usage. It still works, but it's becoming very difficult to position the wire to make it work so I'm having to buy another one.

Not sure when I will use this but might be nice to have.
I bought this with my thinmodem. I haven't used it yet since the thinmodem comes with a connection cable. I guess it would come in handy if you keep it in your brief case for away trips...or those times when you forget your connection cable. This is a "nice to have"..not a "need to have".

Warning, does not work with new 3850 model
We have been using this cable with our 3650 model systems to connect to a gps unit for data collection and for syncronizing out in the field with NT systems and it works great for that. However, we got some new 3850 ipaqs, and they have changed the connector, so it does not work with 3850, so just be forwarned!

If you travel, this is for you
So you got the cradle with your iPAQ...great. Now pack that cradle and its cords in your briefcase....see what I mean? The cradle takes up more room than the iPAQ.

I grabbed one of these cables after my first trip with the cradle. I was worried that the cradle would be damaged enroute. The cable is very sturdy and takes up a fraction of the space of the cradle. This cable is about 3.5 feet long, plenty of length to go from a CPU under your desk to the desktop.

You will need to carry this cable and the charger for your trips, but it's easier than carrying the bulky USB cradle.

The whole theory of the Pocket PC is ultra portability; this items keeps it that way.

Same as Psion version
I was shopping around for a modem for my Palm IIIxe for awhile, and it came down to either the Diamond Mako travel modem or the Psion travel modem. I ended up buying the Diamond Mako and I am very pleased with my decision. The Diamond Mako modem is sometimes $20.00 cheaper than the Psion and, believe it or not, it is the EXACT SAME MODEM! I was surprised when I got the modem out and it even says "Psion 56k travel modem" right on the label. So Definitely go for this one.

Here are my complaints: The reason that I was looking for an infra-red modem is so I could use my GoType Keyboard while I am surfing on the net. This will NOT work if you use a Palm Pilot! Even though it seems that there are two separate ports (infra-red and the serial port on the bottom), they are actually the same port with two different inputs. What this means is that you have to "turn off" the serial port on the bottom (where the GoType hooks into) in order to use the infra-red port (where the modem sends info into). This was a disapointment, but not much of a problem. Another thing that I noticed is that the modem is not too sensitive, and you must stay very close to it in order for it to work. But, all in all it was a good purchase, and I am happy I shopped around rather than just buying the more expensive Psion version.

Great modem for your PDA
This is a great way to get on the internet while on the go. It works with almost all platforms of PDA, be it a Palm, Pocket PC or Psion. Also, because it uses the IRDA port, you can get on the net and still use your expansion slot for memory. My only complaint is the battery life... which falls somewhat short of the advertised "4 hours". If you plan on doing a lot of traveling, you might want to pick up the optional AC adapter for this while you are at it. Other than the battery life, this is a great little unit and well worth the money.

Great case for office use
I use this case when I am in the office. I have the Franklin zippered ring binder case for when I am running around out of work (also carries checkbook and stamps, membership cards, etc.) - it is my complete organizer. But when I get to the office, I switch to this little case. It is compact - fits in a jacket pocket, easy to open in a meeting, easy to check appointments, plus I have the sync cable (no stand) at my work desk and you can sync with that cable without taking it out of this case.

A really nice combination and convenient for easy access.

Be the envy of all the geeks in your office
This case is a little expensive, but worth it. It is Genuine weather-proof leather with nice tongue-in-groove style (no buttons to break).

There's space to stick your stylus, and when you open the case, it stays open. This is very important for you airplane Palm users.

There is one drawback. The Palm is secured by a piece of Velcro, and it cannot be synched-up when it's in the case. You will need to remove the Palm from the case to sync. I can see this possibly causing the velcro to die quicker than expected.

But, all in all, this case is very rich looking and worth the 40 bucks. Plus, it's made in the USA (how rare is that?)

Too high for velcro....
Dooney & Bourke Palm V Portfolio Case (All-Weather Leather Black)

I think it's not a good idea to use velcro for this kind of products. Velcro Lifetime...Too expenisive for this. It's time to get a new solution.... D&B are able to develop a great new one...Their products seems to be good... I love other cases I see from them... Products looks very nice. MPT.

Portfolio Power
The Dooney & Bourke Portfilio is very useful in my line of work. I am a philanthropist. I need something small, efficient and effective. I can keep abreast of my appointments, and be able to joint down notes without the threat of loosing papers because they came apart from its binding.
