Buyer Beware!
This module/software does allows you add your own recipes, but they cannot be synchronized to your handheld. That version is read only. So your getting a cookbook for your visor but it's not your favorite recipes. If I had known this I wouldn't have bought it.

Perfect for a "foodie"
The thing I adore most is the ability to download recipes from web sites without having to retype them. While I'm sure there are computer programs that will do the same thing, the PDA keeps my work and home files matched and is great to have at the store (for example, when there's something on sale and I need a recipe). The computer program prints out recipes or shopping lists which I use to save battery power. The PDA, of course, is helpful for adding items to the list when walking down the street, watching tv, etc. Finally, the module saves the PDA's memory for other programs. Now if only they'd make one for wine records...

Pocket Recipes 5 Stars
This is a Great Product! I buy a lot of cookbooks and I've purchased cooking software in the past, but being able to carry this around with you on your Visor is really convenient. This product gives you thousands of recipes, but the best feature by far is the shopping list. When you choose recipes, the exact amount of ingredients required are added to your shopping list automatically. I would highly recommend this product.

Good - But Not Completely Realized.
First off, if you have Quicken on a PC, have only one account on it just for you, and want EVERYTHING in Quicken on your Palm then this might work for you. But then there's the rest of us...

My girfriend saw me using Quicken 2003 and asked if they made something similar for Palm. I was surprised to see that they did! She doesn't use a PC for anything except internet. Everything else is on her Palm. So I brought her Palm to work to install PQ only to have it ask for the quickenw file. Great! Now I find out that's not a standalone app. I look on the box and sure enough it says it's a, "Companion" to Quicken. So after a few minutes I talk my girlfriend into using Quicken on my PC. Finally she concedes and we set up an account for her. OK! So I hotsync with PQ only to discover...that there's MY account also on her Palm. WTF? I delete it from PQ and resync - there it is again! I come to find out that you can't choose what accounts get uploaded to PQ. It's all or nothing. OR - you can, "hide" your main Quicken account and have PQ, "omit" it which is terribly inconvenient. Give me a break. For the $40 we paid this thing is a joke. It should have the option to standalone for that price, but to not be able to choose accounts is a travesty. This software is half-baked IMO and should be avoided unless you fall into that first rare group.

I love this PQ!!!
I have been a Quicken user for so long I can't even remember when I started using it! I purchased my PQ with a gift certificate I was given, but even if I had to spend my own money, I'd be just as happy with this product!

I absolutely love the pocket companian app in PQ! For those of you who want the ease of entering info as it happens, instead of trying to hold on to receipts until you get back on your pc, pocket quicken is your answer!

It was so easy to load, and very easy to use. Manual, what manual? Never read it!

Hope it works as well for you as it does for me.

To the first reviewer I'd say, you're probably the one in the minority. I'd bet the majority of PQ users are already Quicken users dealing with one person/household set of accounts. I hope you don't dissuade too many users from trying this great product.

PS: My favorite feature is the password protection you get on your PDA, just in case wandering eyes or a lost PDA befall you.

Perfect for my needs!
I've been a user of Quicken for 5 years now and I'm addicted to tracking my finances through it. When I bought my Pocket PC 4 months ago, I wanted to use it to track my finances also, but it was too expensive at the retail stores. When it finally dropped a few bucks, I decided to try it. I'm mainly wanted it to track the cash I'm spending because in my business I deal with a lot of cash transactions and it's too easy to spend the cash without tracking it and it's a total pain to sit down at a computer with a pocket full of reciepts.

Just like other software, I popped in the CD followed the instructions and everything loaded onto my Pocket PC with the greatest of ease. All of my transactions (the last 3 months), account information, memorized transactions, everything. I printed off the intructions and I'm off and running. Seriously easy to use, I'm just amazed.

If you like to use Quicken, and have a Pocket PC, this software is a MUST have! I absolutely don't regret spending the money on it now.

Cute design but mediocre picture
I received this TV as a gift, and I was impressed by its small, rounded, easily-held-in-the-hand design. This portable has some good features, including the neck strap antenna, an easy to use tuning system, and good reception even of UHF stations. However, the most important feature of any television is the picture, and this model simply is not the best available tiny TV in this most important respect. The image is dimi and low in contrast, and is nearly impossible to see in bright light. Some of the newer Casio models I have seen have a brighter, sharper, more contrasty image, and consequently are preferable to this Sony product.

Sony engineering
The screen has to be at the correct angle to maximize the
view but it is an amazing little TV. I've had mine for about 2 years, It's dependable.

Great Picture - Bulky Straptenna
This amazing 2" TV from Sony boasts the typical high quality acurate color picture Sony Watchman owners are used to in a free standing design that is a relief to those of us who usually have to hold a miniature TV in order to watch it. Sony's Straptenna is a unique neck strap and antenna combination that eliminates the need for a rod type aerial. On this particular set, the strap is too long and stiff to fold out of the way when using the set on a desk or table. A rod antenna would have been a better choice. The power switch and band selector is located on the bottom front of the set which means it must be picked up to change from VHF to UHF. The switch would be better moved to the side or top of the case. The up and down channel selector buttons are conveniently located although feel a bit flimsy. This is not characteristic of Sony.

The picture is bright and clear with very acurate color. The sound is a bit lacking in volume through the built in speaker which is true of most Watchman sets although through headphones it is almost high fidelity. The unique shape makes this an excelent bedside table or desktop television. This cabinet shape however makes it dificult to carry in a pocket unlike many of the flatter case styles offered by RCA and Casio.

With a rethinking of the controls and a rod antenna and wrist strap in place of the neck strap-antenna combination, this would be the perfect little portable.

shocking
I had a Suunto for 10 months. The face scratched VERY easily which was disappointing. However the worst thing is after swimming in a pool that I could stand up in the watch FILLED with water and died. On returning to Suunto they refused to fix it under warrantee because swimming is not covered ! They say the forces created by swimming are to much for this watch and it was never designed for this purpose, despite the sales literature saying it is water proof to 100m. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER SUUNTO PRODUCT. Whatsmore the shop I bought it from say they have lots returned for the same reason and non of them were fixed under warranty either. It is also very difficult to use and you cannot hear the alarm at all.

great watch
this watch is one of the coolest watches i have ever seen. i have read reviews and technical data about similer products like the casio pathfinder. the pathfinder primaraly has the same fetures as the vector. the difference is that the pathfinders altimeter can be off by 1400' or more in stable weather! the vectors altimeter never really gets off more then 200 feet. if you want one of the best watches avalable get the suunto vector

AWESOME
This watch has everything needed to do anything. I, being a skier, bought this watch to find my way back to base camp after a long day of skiing. The watch a) new the altitude of the base camp b) the compass guided me on a specifc heading without flaw c) it held up to the harshest conditions that France had to offer. Anyone who needs direction in the wilderness, MUST have this watch.

Great nostalgia piece for some of us
If you're 30+ years old, you may have fond memories of playing with the Atari 2600 -- the home video game system that was popular long before Nintendo, Sega, or even Microsoft were household words. This card takes seven of the games from that old system and puts them...well...in the Palm of your hand. This card is also supposed to work with Pocket PC and certain cell phones, but I've only played it on a Palm Zire 71.

The most important thing to note is what games are included -- the "Features" section of the listing on Amazon is incorrect. This card does have Asteroids, Breakout, Centipede, Missile Command, and Pong -- but instead of Combat and Tempest you get Adventure and Yar's Revenge. The Editorial Review includes the correct combination of games.

So what are the games like? As nearly as I can tell, they're identical to the old console version. In Adventure (one of my old favorites, and the grandparent of games like Legend of Zelda), the screen flickers if you have too many objects on the screen at once, just like it did on our television set years ago. Pong is...well...Pong. The games look, feel, and sound exactly like they used to years ago -- I'm not certain, but I suspect they're using the exact same code, running under an emulator.

It's important to note, however, that these are clones of the 2600 version of the games -- not the arcade versions that were out at the same time. So Centipede is just a square block, not a little mushroom shooter. Missile Command has one missile silo, not three. But unlike in the arcade, in this version of Asteroids you can choose to play with your choice of special options -- hypserspace, shields, flip, or nothing. If you're expecting clones of the arcade, you'll be disappointed -- the 2600 had nowhere near the power of the arcade games of its day, and that's reflected in what you'll see here.

I do have a few complaints about this implementation. You can only adjust the volume level before you start a game -- if you want to change it in the middle, you have to quit your game and start over. There is a pause option (as there was on the 2600 console), but if you end up back at the application launcher, you'll lose your place in whichever game you were playing. Two of the games included -- Pong and Breakout -- are almost impossible to play with a joystick (which is why the 2600 had paddle controllers for these games -- too bad they couldn't have let you use the stylus to simulate the paddle).

Speaking of controllers, there is no configuration option available -- your 5-way navigator is your joystick, but I've accidentally pressed it down when I didn't mean to, and fired at a bad time. Your four application buttons are also fire buttons, though they all do the same thing (the 2600 controller was a single joystick with a single button, so this is just fine). Still, I'd love the freedom to remap buttons if I want, if only to prevent a press on the 5-way navigator from firing unexpectedly.

CONCLUSION

If you grew up playing the Atari 2600, then this will be a trip down memory lane. I spent an hour playing Adventure -- I just couldn't put it down, despite pitiful graphics and simplistic gameplay. Nostalgia buffs will love this!

But if you're part of the Nintendo generation, or the old 2600 games hold no special memories for you, then you'll probably be disappointed in this release. Look for modern versions of some of these games from iambic and astraware to really take advantage of the horsepower of your modern platform.

Talk about a walk down memory lane
This game card brings back the childhood days of Atari that's for sure, the gameplay is just how i remember it and tons of fun!
I'll be the one to verify this works with Pocket PC 2002 and works flawlessly with my Dell AXIM X5. the only problem with this game seems to be the controls. on the X5 it uses the middle curcular button for "navigation" which can be a bit sloppy at times, but all in all this is a great investment to pass the time on commutes and "spare" time during your day!

Still a gadget.
I had high hopes for this little scanner. It is certainly not bad, but it has a number of annoying problems. The learning curve can be a bit steep (at least an hour before you're comfortable scanning basic text, saving it to a file and preparing it for download). As for downloading it to your PC for editing, storage or printing, that requires either a IrDA port(most laptops have one) or on most desktops, an add-on serial device or USB device. My impression is that it will wind up in the drawer sometime soon, relegated to that dark corner that 'early adopters' often fill to the brim.

Good, but not great
This pen will take you a looong time to get used to. It was a good hour before I could scan anything intelligible onto the screen. Also, even once you do get the hang of it, there will be lots of capilization errors. Still, this tool will prove invaluable once you learn how to use it.

PDA Panache Custom Palm V Stylus (Chrome)

    There are better ones
The major problem with this unit is that the top is always a little bit loose and needs to be tightened once in a while.

Bottom Line: Not really necessary to dig into your pocket to buy this one. It's about the same as the original stylus came with the palm unit.

chrome not the best choice for the palmV
If functionality was everything this stylus would get a higher rating. I got this stylus on the strength of the first review, but the bright(!) silver styling contrasts poorly with the matte surface of my Vx. if aesthetics are important to you, you may want to wait for a matte version. Another product, the Palm combo stylus/inkpen has its faults but it has a great matte surface and looks terrific flush against the Vx.

this stylus sticks out like a chrome thumb.

    Great Stylus for Palm V
The Palm V Custom Deluxe Stylus (Chrome) from PDA Panache is a grest replacement for the metal/plastic styli that came with your Palm V.

The Chrome is a durable electroplated finish. While fitted into the Palm V, the fit is perfect and the tolerance is very small giving it a very snug fit. It does not matter whether it is fit into the right or left stylus slot.

The additional weight of this stylus makes writing easier due to better balance. The shape of the stylus is in an ergonomically pleasing hourglass shape. The barrel is thinner near the bottom where your fingers would be. The thinner area also has grooves that keep the stylus from slipping from your grip. The top of the stylus has a rounded cap. There is also a bulge near the top of the stylus. It is considerable easier to remove the stylus than the original stylus that came with my Palm V.

The best part of this stylus is the screen-safe EasyView orange writing tip which is injection molded from 100% virgin DuPont Delrin. This tip is considerably more smooth than writing with the original Palm V styli and the orange tip is extremly visible.

I really love this stylus. I picked up the original stylus the other day and I just completely forgot how it felt. It just does not feel as right in my hand anymore. If you start using this stylus, you will never want to go back.

Pros: Very attractive styling Fits in both stylus slots. Great writing tip. Lifetime free tip repair.

    Cons:

    None

    Broke right away
Gun metal? Within a month of purchase, the pen snapped in half while in my pocket. I was AMAZED since they are so proud of it being gun metal. I am sending the pen back and will update this post when I hear what they say.

    A beautiful writing instrument
The Platinum Pen Executive is a beautiful instrument. It is solidly constructed, well-balanced and has a luxurious feel to it. The pen, pencil and stylus are equally well-designed and are joy to use.

I only have two nitpicks about this product. The mechanical pencil can only hold one lead at a time, so when you're out of lead, you're out of luck as well. The other gripe has to do with the teensy eraser under the cap.

However, those are minor gripes compared to the overall quality of the product. It was worth the [money] I paid for it last year, and is a bargain at the current price.

    Great Pen
I agree with the previous review about only one pencil lead at a time and the eraser, however, I have yet to find a 'nice' mechanical pencil with a worthwhile eraser. The pen works great and I am going to order another as, unfortunately, my first one was lost.

Co-workers were polite and kept the laughing to a minimum.

    Great, but...
Great case - easy to use and to remove from belt. Only hassle is having to remove my m505 to hot sync and charge. The case would be be perfect if it had holes for the cradle.

    Excellent case!
The flipcase design protects my Palm IIIc quite well. Hopefully it will shield my handheld from drops like the one I just experienced with my Palm IIIxe in a Palm case. Unlike the Palm case which requires you to remove the unit from the case, leaving it vulnerable to drops, the Rhinoskin Combo Leather Flipcase allows you to swivel the case and detach it from a holster clip by pressing a latch on top of the clip. The unit appears to be quite sturdy, feels good in the hands, has space for credit cards or business cards, and provides easy access to the stylus, as advertised.
