Stupid velcro
Although I find the case useful, the velcro provided gets in the way. In order to secure my Jornada in the case, I had to attach the velcro circles. Now it stays still in the case, but the velcro causes problems with the docking station. I've had to remove the velcro just to sync the Jornada.

A Well Designed Case -- Recommended for Mid-Sized PDAs
I actually got this case for my Sharp Zaurus I-Cruise (a color PDA from Japan). I looked around the web quite a bit, and this was the only one that I could find whose design I liked and that fit the dimensions of the Zaurus. (I had trouble finding out what the exact dimensions of the inside of the case were to be sure that it fit my PDA -- just for your information, the inside of the case measures 20cm wide by 11.5 deep. The outside of the case is about 2cm bigger each way).

It is made of a nice black nylopn material that has a good feel to it, and there is about 2mm of gel-like padding under it, and it looks like it would provide decent protection against a moderate fall (I actually did drop my PDA a couple of feet to the concrete while in the case, with no adverse results). The bottom has a textured rubber coating on it. It feels good in your hand and looks good too. I also like the "incase" logo on the lower right-hand side. There is a pocket on the outside of the case that is held closed by elastic around the rim. I wouldn't put anything very important or heavy here, however, as it seems like it would fall out. I like the fact that the zipper-pulls are large and easy to grasp, but I was a little disappointed that they were made out of plastic and not metal. In general, though, it seems very well put together, using high-quality materials and workmanship, and I think it was worth the $30 I paid for it.

The inside is made of a soft material. There are four elastic bands on the inside -- two at the top are apparently made to hold pens, and the others are apparently for extra AA batteries. I wonder about the wisdom of actually placing pens in the holders, though, since it seems that they would rub up against the PDA when the case was closed.

There are also four pockets inside that look like they are intended for credit cards or business cards, and there are two larger pockets (one made out of a see-though mesh) that could be used for PC-Cards and the like. The fit is tight enough to keep the cards from falling out. I probably would have preferred that they include more of these pockets instead of the other kind, since I don't plan to keep credit or business cards in my PDA case.

The case comes with two strips of velcro tape that you attach to your machine, and these attach to the velcro on the bottom of the case, keeping the PDA from falling out. I wondered at first about putting velcro on my PDA, but it has worked well (luckily, the side that you attach to your PDA is the soft side, and not the prickly one, so it doesn't feel bad when you are holding the PDA outside of the case).

After using the case for over a month, I think that it is a nice size and fits in the hand well. Unfortunately, I have started to notice that the material on the outside (especially around the rim of the outside pocket) has begun to wear away slightly, with some of the threads sticking out. I have also noticed that the material tends to attract dust and hairs fairly easily.

These are just minor problems, however, and do not detract much from my overall satisfaction.

Great looks, love the wallet, could they make it bigger?
WHAT I LIKE: I love being able to use this case as a wallet- there is plenty of space for currency & receipts, and a pocket behind the palm that works well for credit cards. It's so nice having my palm with me when I'm out. Putting cards on the left (opposite the palm) seems to help protect the screen more. The designs are neat/original. The velcro works well keeping my palm in.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE: It's hard to get things in/out of the window pocket (the palm is in the way of getting in there easily). The zipper is VERY tight getting around my Palm IIIc- I have to position the palm just right to get the thing to zip shut. I wish the Incipio label on the outside were smaller- it detracts from the looks. I thought the fabric would be a nicer quality.

I overall like this case- my only real gripe is with the zipper.

no springboard? you'll love it... except for the zipper
generally, i like it. there's a slot for money, a clear pocket for cards, and another pocket. i do have a few complaints, though.

1. it's just *barely* big enough to zip up with my visor inside (this makes zipping a bit of a task). plus the zipper is a little on the stiff side, which could be good for keeping the thing in, but makes it difficult to zip up.

2. i have a springboard module (soundsgood mp3 player) and it's exceedingly difficult to fit the cover on with the player in. the mp3 player is *almost* flush with the visor, but is just a tad larger. if you have a springboard that protrudes from your visor, this case will not work for you unless you want to keep your springboard separately somewhere else while using the case.

3. related to #2, syncing is a pain b/c you have to take the visor out. i even cracked my clear visor hardcover in the process (good thing handspring is going to send me one for free).

in a nutshell: if you have a springboard module that sticks out of your visor at all, you will not be able to keep it in you visor while using this case. zipping is not easy. other than that, it's small and functional and just a bit geeky too. enjoy!

Nice but flawed
This is a very small, simple and useful system. It is a snap to install and has just enough features to replace my portable CD player. However, it has a major flaw...it is very very very slow to load new songs. It takes me as long to add 8 new songs to my Neo as it would to just burn a new CD for my Sony portable CD. (Yes really). It also has the expected, and fixable (though not for free...) problem that 32 megs. just isn't enough memory for Mp3 playing. A 64 meg player would be much more fun (though I dread the idea of loading 64 megs into my InnoGear!)

Almost Perfection
The MiniJam By Inno Gear is one of the best Springboard Modules out there, despite all of the setbacks and other problems that affected the dilivery of our modules, I must say that the MiniJam is the best because it combines 2 of the most usefull functions (memory storage MP3 playback) avilable to Visor Users, this is what the Springboard slot is about. My only gripe is that you can't store PALM OS files on the MMC cards only on the 2 megs of FlashROM, but that is suposted to come later as a software upgrade. Great Module.

Navman GPS 4460 - Good Product, Bad Installation
I have a Palm Tungsten T2, and bought the Navman GPS 4460 to provide GPS capability for the occasional road trip and/or business trip. I had also considered the Delorme Earthmate, but decided against it based on some feedback on the web regarding the accuracy of the maps and lack of voice guidance. The one review I did find on the relatively new GPS 4460 convinced me that this was worth investigating.

The GPS 4460 comes with the GPS receiver unit, a couple of mounting brackets for the receiver and the Palm PDA, a memory card reader, a 12V car adapter for the receiver unit, 3 AAA size batteries, and 4 CDs of software/maps. The receiver unit fits nicely into its associated mount, which can then be easily attached to the inside of your rear window. This assembly is held in place to the window by a suction cup. The PDA can then ride up front with the driver in it's own cradle (usually plugged into a cigarette lighter socket).

The software for the PDA is excellent, as are the maps (as far as I've tested them, that is). Entering destinations is easy once the maps are loaded onto the SD/MMC card (which you must have and is not included in the kit). The voice guidance is clear, if a bit confused at times (i.e. it can ask you to bear left and make a right turn, even though the visual map indicates that you should keep going straight). The best work round for this, as always, is the judicious use of common sense. The visual cues (when you can safely look at the display while driving) are also excellent. As a PDA is used as the output/display, screen contrast, brightness and audio volume are are limited by the PDA you have on hand. So far the T2 has performed acceptably except in bright sun light (when the display becomes nearly unreadable).

Now for my MAJOR peeves with the system - the installation software and instructions are UNFORGIVABLY bad. First, you need to purchase a SD/MMC card for map storage etc - this is not provided in the kit. Second, installing the desktop software crashed my computer (because it tried to it's own drivers for an existing card reader I had in place - something I had to go back and fix). Third, when I tried to activate the software (and followed instructions on the screen and quick start guide), it was in no way clear that THE SD/MMC CARD SHOULD BE IN THE CARD READER AND NOT IN THE PALM. What activation does (I'm surmising from experience) is to install the license key onto the SD/MMC card. Once that is done, the software on the PDA will work (because it sees the key when the SD/MMC card is in the PDA) and the Map transfer software will work (because it also sees the key when the SD/MMC card is in the card reader). Fourth, I got memory errors on the PDA when I first tried to run the software (which were fixed with a soft reset, but none of this was clearly mentioned as a remote possibility).

So in closing - the unit is working great now that I have it running. Getting it up and running was a problem as noted above. Some better/clearer documentation on the installation front would have been nice. Had it not been for the lousy install, I'd have rated this as a 5 star product.

Still waiting to hear from Navman
I was excited to try out the Navman GPS system with my Zire 72. The directions are poorly written and unclear at times. I downloaded everything based on trial and error. When trying to download the Southern Texas map, I recieved an error message and was unable to complete the download. I have contacted the company but no one has responded to my three messages as of yet. As for putting to use the GPS system with the maps I could download, I found it fun and in complete working order. The voice tone needs improvement but can be understood. Be sure and use a car charger for the Zire 72 or the battery is drained in no time when the bluetooth is on.

Nexian Dual CF sleeve
Unfornately the memory cards did not work. Talking with tech support they could not determine why the memory cards failed to work. Nexian tech support told me to return the sleeve. I asked if the problem had been reported, and Nexian said that they did not hear of any issues. I have an iPAQ 3635 and Nexian said that one of support tech had the same configuration and found no issues. Tech support thought it was a pin problem, connecting the iPAQ to the sleeve. However, one positive is that the iPAQ did manage to recongize the second battery. That was really nice to have the additional battery.

The sleeve is fairly big, and you should expect a larger size since it supports two cf cards and a second battery. I thought the size was acceptable for what it was designed to do. Be careful if you have a case to carry your iPAQ as you will need to buy a new one.

Overall, I would have kept the Nexipak if the cf slots would recognize the memory cards. I did find out Nexian had a recall if you tried to use a wireless nic card. No software drivers are needed to use the sleeve. If the memory cards would have worked I would have rated the product 5 stars. I will have to wait until I get a new sleeve. Tech support did a good job of following up with me, via email and on the phone.

I've use this sleeve with 2 separate iPAQs 3850 and 5555
I have a great deal of success with this sleeve. I have used it with the 3850 and the 5555. I had an initial problem with the battery not charging properly but that seemed solved with a replacement battery sent by nexian.

I did a review for the sleeve on PocketPCThoughts.com (search for my name). It's one of the main reasons I upgraded to the 5555, so that I could continue to use this sleeve with the iPAQ.

the only weird issue I've had is using both CF slots at the same time. I'm currenlty using it with slot one containing a 1Gig CF microdrive and tried using it with a D-link wireless card in slot two and the display on the 3850 went weird. haven't had that issue with the 5555 bc the 5555 has built-in wireless/bluetooth.

Not everything you need...
I ordered a Palm m500 and knew I would be connecting to an older Mac without a USB port. After spending quite a bit of time on the Palm web site and not finding much info, a Google search lead me back to Amazon.com and this kit.. When I got the Palm I realized I needed a Serial cradle. I think I'll also need the connect kit to connect to the modem or printer port. It would be nice if this kind of info was more readily available.. Oh well, it the price to pay for being both a Mac user and not up on the latest technology. But I do have a USB cradle in case I ever upgrade my MAc

Good product, but pricey & a little unfair
Fair warning: I'm a true-red Microsoft hater, and a MacFan for life. :) Now that I've gotten that bias confessed, I must say that this kit provides the user of an older (pre-USB) Mac everything he/she needs to connect his/her Palm to his/her Mac, like the PC people do. So far the software has worked flawlessly, and the adapter has been secure ... definitely no product complaints here.

The ONLY gripe I can give it is that the price is a little high for a simple serial adapter and software you can download from Palm's web site. Adding insult to injury is the fact that PC users get everything they need out-of-the-box (at least with the Palm IIIxe) to HotSync, while we MacUsers have to wait for delivery of another product. I didn't look around for less expensive serial adapters, and obviously the convenience of having the software on CD-ROM beats a slow download any day. Still, it does feel a little unfair at times.

Strong case but pin breaks
The Rhino Ttanium case has saved my M515 several times, BUT...
The case has two design flaws:
1. The case is a little sloppy around the M515, just a little annoying.
2. The pin that holds the Palm goes inot the silo and eventually gets sloppy. You need to bend the pin to improve fit, but after the second slight "adjustment" IT BROKE OFF!! Now the case is useless since there is nothing to keep the Palm in the case.

The toughest a palm get get
This is an improvemnet on the old rhinoskin V series "slider" case, which I had used for over a year before I lost it. This case is more streamlined that the old one, but with the same degree of protection.

titanium is the the king of industrial metal, and considering how important the data inside your palm pilot is, its worth it as insurance to yourself.

Cons- It is heavier than plastic or leather and not waterproof

If youre using a palm 505 or 515, you probably aren't into all the rinkydink bells and whistles and delicateness of newer palms, you use yours simply to carry your important numbers and schedules and info. This case is as minimalist and functional as the device it has been sent to protect.

Don't Buy This For A Casio E-200 !!!!
I purchased this for my Casio E-200. I assumed it would work since it was using a CF Slot I type. I tried everything possible but nothing worked. I went to the socketcom.com webpage and there was nothing listed saying it would not. The worst thing is this was the only 10/100 card I found and really wanted it for testing LAN's. Now I either wait for the drivers or purchase a 10mb card instead. One last item is the technical support did reply very quickly in regards to my question on compatibility.

Flawless right out of the box
OK what do you expect from a 10/100 card in 2003? It better work... well this one had no hickups on my Toshiba e740. Good
package (ubiquitos tamper-broof plastic) and extremely sparse
manual. All you have to do is drop in the CD, install the driver, and reset. Then drop in the card. The Toshiba has built in WiFi, but sometimes I need a traditional hardwire connection. This card is definitely the one to get.
I ran various sniffing, ping, telnet, and other advanced netorking programs - all functioned flawlessly. There is an
update of the driver on the socketcom.com web site, but installing the update had no perceptible change.
Recommended.

I've used my Excalibur for about 5 years and it worked until this last weekend. I'm ready to buy my next. I thought it was a pretty good game. Have to change the batteries, y'know. Reset button & ability to turn it off were only drawbacks; that & my thumb got kinda sore.

    VERY DISAPOINTED
I'VE ONLY HAD THIS GAME FOR ONE MONTH AND HAVING TROUBLES WITH IT. FOR ONE IT FREEZES UP AND ANOTHER HAS A TENDENCY TO SHUFFLE THE CARDS WITHOUT ME EVEN TOUCHING IT MAKING THE GAME VERY DIFFICULT TO PLAY. THIS PARTICULAR GAME IS REALLY A PIECE OF GARBAGE AND I'LL NEVER BUY ONE LIKE THIS EVER AGAIN. ALSO THE BATTERIES DON'T LAST VERY LONG IN THE GAME AND I FOUND I HAD TO CHANGE THEM EVERY WEEK IN ORDER TO SEE THE GAME AS IT FADED AS THE BATTERIES GOT WEAKER.
