- Zipper jams EVERYTIME I try to open the case. The stitching of the zipper is low-quality, so it always jams in the upper left corner.
- No place to hold the stylus and the case makes it difficult to dislodge stylus from Palm.
- The button indentation on the front cover does not allow you to engage the timer on the Palm. Bad!

Overall, an bulky but durable case, opt for a cover with a stylus holder instead, you'll need it! Not worth the [$$$] price tag.

Online it looks like a iridescent blue, but in person is just a shiny blue. Also, I expecting for the zipper portion of the case to be black (as it looks online), but in reality it's gray, not black.
I wasn't really impressed when I first saw it. But it does do the job. Protect my PDA.

This case is really nice. The color is quite nice, and the zipper hasnt ever cought up on itself yet. Though it is a plastic zipper, it holds snugly. I do not like the velcro strap inside tohold the unit in. I would have prefereed a locking system to hold it in place, but the velcro does do the job well. Wearing on my side, I have never broken my M105 yet, and I've accidentally bashed it a few times, with no damage to the inside either. The EVA Rubber sure is nice too, meaning the case will always look like new even after you smash it with your foot. (but DO take your palm out FIRST! hehe)
The time button doesnt work though if you use the clip-on face protector that usually comes with the 100 series, but if you wear it on your belt, you have to take it out anyway to see the time.. hehe.
A great product, well worth the cost.

Nice pen, got one for my wife and I several months apart and from two entirely different stores. Both came with non-functioning roller tips, but plenty of ink... Decent pen after you call manufacutrers, wait a couple of days, and install new ink cartridge.

well i really liked this pen, stylus or pencil, whatever it is but it is really cool, i bougth a couple one for me and one for a gift to my principal, i knew she was going to love it, i always have trouble when swicthing from stylus to pen and so on, sometimes i can't find my stylus and its rigth next to me, and this pen takes that trouble away, you got to have one of these.

I have had my Visor PRO less than 6 months. The hotsync cradle has had to be replaced once already, and the software crashed and had to be reinstalled.

A friend bought one at the same time, it was a complete lemon. She sent it back to be replaced and went through 3 different models in as many months before she finally gave up and bought another PDA. What a waste of money!

And when you register the product with Handspring, they send you a coupon, with no info on any expiration, but when I tried to use it I was told it expires in 30 days. When I protested that they need to tell you about the 30 day limit when they send you the email, and asked to discuss it with a supervisor, I was ignored and have not been contacted again.

Like many other reviewers, this is the first and last Handspring product I will buy.

I have been an avid iPaq user for about a year now. And while WIN CE can be a bit quirky at times, lets face it, iPaq's color screen and agility between applications makes up for Microsoft's shortcomings. However, about 3 months ago, I lost the "partnership" (the connection between the iPaq and the PC) and despite countless attempts to reconnect (by myself and a hired IT consultant), we never could reconnect. (Phone calls to CPQ and MSFT were fruitless.)

Because I really needed a device to handle PIM duties, I began reading the reviews (...) for Palm and Handspring. I had heard good things about the Visor products but had yet to experience them (long ago, I owned a Palm III...less than satisfied). After much trepidation, I took the leap on the Visor Pro. The final feature selling me on the Pro was the resident memory (16 MB) and the ability to extend through add-ons.

Since I've had the Pro, I must report, first and foremost (to me at least!), I've had ZERO connection issues. Synchronization has been flawless and beautiful. Beyond that, the Pro has all the necessary functions for the manager or executive on the go plus many, many more via download shareware. Additionally, perhipheral add-ons can turn your Pro into a phone, internet browser and Pocket PC without much sweat. The losses compared to the iPaq? I must be honest, all the touting of being able to create/manipulate Excel spreadsheets or Word documents (via the iPaq) is grossly overhyped. Yes, the availability is nice but who in their right mind is going to create any document/spreadsheet on a handheld-size screen? My only complaint is the screen. With a B&W screen, one can expect issues with light, hue, and contrast. However, after getting very comfortable with a color screen, moving back to B&W/monochrome is a tough move. I'll adapt, however, as Pro's other features make this a top-notch product.

For the money, Pro is my choice. I plan to purchase one for my partner and one for each of my mid-level managers (affordability is another incredibly nice feature of Pro). I'm actually thinking of getting a Pro for each of my teenagers. What a great device to get in control of the mundane as well as important aspects of your life.

This unit is the best unit on the market for those who seek a B&W Palm device. The 16MB RAM coupled with the Springboard slot allows this unit to last for years to come. The Springboard has nearly a hundred modules available, where the others only have a handful. You don't have to pick and choose from your choice apps for only 8MB worth, you can keep them all on your device. Handspring continues to raise the bar for what a Palm device should be. Some people are concerned about the life of the Springboard, because Handspring's latest Treo does not have one - plus the indicated that they would get out of the traditional PDA business (with includes the Visor brand). The fact remains - as long as the Visor brands are out there, the developers will continue to make springboard add-ons. The developers make money off these add-ons, not Handspring.

When I bought this case I had a Palm V, and it fit great and seemed to be very capable of doing its job. Unfortunately I quickly decided to return the Palm V and get a M500 instead. Not wanting to return the case, I decided to use it with the M500. Though I don't have any problems because of this, I wouldn't recommend it because the fit is not very good. The Palm V fits in this case snuggly and securely, as it was designed for it. While using it with the slightly thinner and smaller M500 seems to offer the same level of protection it has too much freedom to move around. Another reason why I would recommend finding a differant case for the M500 is because wearing the case on the belt is a little bulky. A slightly smaller case designed for the M500 would be a little less combersome on your belt.

If you need a case for a Palm V, this one is well made, offers protection for the screen on both sides, via hard plates, and seems to handle the everyday rigers of an outdoor job very well.

This case works well for me. The belt clip "feels" just a little flimsy but has not caused any problems so maybe it's just me. I note that since I bought my case, the picture of it on Amazon looks slightly different around the clip area so maybe they have made some improvement into the design. You don't want to be dropping your Palm even if it is in this case (although the case would enhance its liklihood of survival). But, it does provide a lot of protection from everyday hazards. In short, the belt clip and the added protection make this a very useful item for carrying your Palm around.

NOVEMBER 2000 -- Before buying my Palm Vx, I spent months figuring out why other PDA's didn't work for me. The others were too large/heavy for my shirt pocket, and I didn't always have a shirt pocket anyway!

The Palm Vx on my hip was the perfect solution. I don't even need a belt with this case. I clip it to my shorts waistband when going to the gym to keep track of the weight settings and number of repetitions on each machine. It even stays on while using the treadmill.

I personally have had absolutely no problem with the velcro opening nor the fact that it folds in towards me (although I have been quite carefull while wearing sweaters). However, being black, it got rather hot in the sun while watching my son's soccer game until I switched it to my "shaded" side.

NOTE: The design of the case seems to be able to damage the glass front unless you put the Palm in with the glass facing out, away from you.

Bottom line: For the first time in my life, I have a PDA that works for me, and this leather carrying case is an essential part of that usefullness.

UPDATE: January 2003 -- almost 2½ years after buying my Palm Vx and this leather case, I lost it on a public transit due to my own stupidity. I replaced the Palm Vx with a used one for $65, but found I just couldn't function without having the belt case as well, so I replaced it as well.
