An awful disappointment
I bought this little card to store MP3s and my digital photos. When the card came in the mail, I gently took it out of the package and slid it into my Palm Zire 71. I immediately tried deleting SplashClock (a program pre-loaded on the card), and received and error screen saying the card was Read-Only. This didn't make any sense to me! After a frustrating ordeal, I noticed the tiny lock tab was missing off the side of the card. I dug the packaging out of the garbage can, and thankfully the little tab was still inside. Mind you, the card is a piece of junk without that little tab.

After managing to lock the tab into place, the card worked very well for about a month. A few days ago, I tried hot syncing 5 or 6 MP3s onto the card. When I took the palm off the cradle after syncing, it said there was NO CARD INSERTED!!! Now it won't recognize my card at all. Essentially, I have a very expensive piece of useless plastic. I am in the process of trying to get my money back. What a rip-off!

Huge little storage
It is amazing how much storage you can have in a problem-free littlecard. It comes with softwre, and the Palm just recognize it inmediately without doing anything. I love this card.

Won't work with Tungsten E ...
because it cannot be attached to it. The description says it is compatible with the Tungsten series, and the other review saying that it was not compatible with Tungsten E was not there when I placed my order. I hope I won't have to pay the return postage ...

Just don't buy it for your Tungsten E
This product comes up as an accessory for the Tungsten E. It is not. I am sure it is good for the ones mentioned just don't buy it for your Tungsten E.

Waste of money
Palm's Worldcities is competing with a host of free up-to-date and easy to read information available in all airport arrivals lounges - and frankly, it performs poorly, I returned the product after just two days of navigating in NYC.

Palm's CitySync maps are low resolution and difficult to read on the Palm's screen - most cities have excellent foldout maps available for just a few dollars. For what's on and where to eat, 'TimeOut' or the equivalent weekly what's on magazine has got all the up-to-date info on where to eat and party, and CitySync's tourist info is a poor rendition on Lonely Planets excellent printed city guides.

The World Cities card does come bundled with some more or less useful software, including a trial version of the award-winning City Time global time application.

Clonclsusion: Spend the purchase price on local maps, what's on guides, and treat yourself to dinner and a few beers with the change.

Great Value!!!
This card is GREAT! It has awesome travel guides of a bunch of cities like ROME, Amsterdam and New York! Everything is in high resolution so it looks great on the Tungsten T. The language translator, Small Talk, rocks! I highly recommend this for travelers!

Pathetic excuse for a database
Suffice it to say, if you are really into using databases effectively, puchase ThinkDB or HanDbase and a memory upgrade. You will be miles ahead of this overpriced, exceptionally poorly designed database. The biggest detriment is that tables can ONLY be designed on the desktop and then downloaded (hotsync'd) to the PDA. You can NOT design on the fly.

Great
I love this product! It's easy and intuitive to use - I've created lots of personal and business databases. The reference databases provided with the product are quite useful.

    Poor, Slooooow Preformance
I have a Cassiopeia E-115 Pocket PC, which comes with only a serial sync base unit. I sync my E115 to my laptop using MS ActiveSync 3.1.

I recently bought a Socket USB card in order to sync my E115 to my laptop's USB port, which I thought would be much faster than using the serial sync. I followed the quick setup instructions that were shipped with the Socket USB card, but I have found the sync rate to be as slow as the serial sync. I've also tried copying files over the USB sync cable (using MS ActiveSync's explore button) and the transfer rates are again as slow as serial.

My experience with the Socket USB card has been highly unsatisfactory. It does not even come close to meeting my expectations, nor the claim on their website of "Perform ActiveSync at speeds faster than a serial cable".

I've contacted Socket about my issue, but they seem to not have tested this product (they could not indicate how much faster the USB should be than serial) and I am still waiting for a satisfactory response.

A definite "Do not recommend". I need to get my money back.

Faster than a speeding Pocket Rocket
The Socket USB Sync Compact Flash (CF) card is great for speeding up PocketPC synchronizations, or for reducing the amount of supporting equipment you need to carry around to AutoSync while on the road.

The USB Sync CF card give me much faster ways to AutoSync than the standard RS-232 connection in my Compaq Aero 1550's base station. I can just plug the USB cable into the USB Sync CF card (which I usually leave in the PocketPC) and AutoSync starts up almost immediately. The included USB cable is small enough, and light enough, that I can carry it around in my PocketPC's case with no problem. And it is a real breeze when hooking up with my laptop. The improvement in AutoSync speed is really noticeable when transferring large music files. This was a painful 15 to 20 minute exercise with the RS-232 connection but is now just 2 to 3 minutes.

I have both Socket's Ethernet CF Card and their USB Sync CF Card. While both the Ethernet card and USB card speed up synchronization there is one annoyance with using the Ethernet card. With the Ethernet card there is a delay while the PocketPC searches the network for my PC that is running AutoSync (make sure to have a WINS server or specify the IP address of the PC as explained in the documentation). While Socket will send you a crossover box so that you can directly connect a laptop's Ethernet adapter to the PocketPC's, it is more stuff to carry around. Also I have had more trouble locating a convenient place to attach to the network than I have in finding a convenient USB plug.

While the Ethernet card has its uses, I give the USB card the nod for ease of use, less stuff to carry around, and easier connections when away from home. With the USB CF card I can leave the Aero's base station behind and just take my power adapter and my Socket USB Sync card when I travel, or just leave the USB cable sitting by my PC ready for a quick sync.

In sum, the Socket USB Sync CF Card addresses the annoying problem of slow AutoSync times and it works exactly the way one hopes that it would.

    Not for an iPAQ
I bought the Sumdex GLP-807 Leather Bi-Fold Wallet for Pocket PC expecting to use it with an iPAQ 3670, the smallest PocketPC. The printing on the package was showing a Palm V. A sticker on the box said it fits iPAQ, HP, ect.

While it may or may not be big enough to fit a naked iPAQ, mounting requires a Velco patch. No way was I going to apply directly it to the iPAQ for fear the iPAQ will not fit into the PCMIA jacket with the Velco. So I put the iPAQ in the thin (no slot) stylepac and tried to fit it to the case. Way too small. Looks like a good case for a PALM V using the built in rail but not for a PocketPC.

    great all-around case/wallet!
I love this case. It holds my Palm, credit cards, business cards, and cash when I travel. It's made well and the leather is real nice. Mine came with a 2 in 1 stylus/pen which was a nice extra. The notepad is nice for writing down quick notes.
I have seen many cases but this was is real classy and affordable!

Priced right, but leaves a lot to be desired
While attractive in appearance, this leather case has one fatal flaw; the magnetic "snap" closure is all but useless, coming open at the slightest touch. Since there is currently no real alternative, I can recommend this product as long as the price stays (where it is). However, I expect this model will disappear from the market as soon as other manufacturers catch up to the needs of Jornada 720 users.

    Big and Beautiful
This leather "wallet" looks very professional, has plenty of compartments for credit cards, cash, checkbook, etc. The closure is actually a magnetic snap, not velcro (which is better anyway). It's not very well padded, this case is more for transport and convenience than for protection. My problem is that the review wasn't very clear that this is for Palmtops, or much larger organizers. I have a HP Jornada 540 Series and this is WAY TOO BIG! I'm very disappointed as there aren't too many cases out there for my size PDA. Other than that, this would be a great buy, it's very nice.

Targus Wireless Web Card - HP Jornada and SprintPCS Samsung
Unfortunately I do not know if the HP PDA or the Targus Card is at fault. I can not get support from Targus, HP or Sprint to help get connected with this device. I can dial-up, however the connection never goes through. Its been 6 months now and I have not been able to get this resolved. Its very frustrating and disappointing.

Targus CompactFlash Wireless Web with IPAQ and SprintPCS
This card works great with my Compaq Ipaq 3650 and Sprint PCS and Samsung 3500. I recommend it highly.

Handspring Visors: Yes - Handspring Visor Edge: No
I hate it when a product uses too generic of descriptions for their device compatibility. I realize the product descriptions were probably writen well before the release of the Handspring Visor Edge, but their poor choice in specifying Visor models left me with a package of screen sheilds that are too big for my new handheld.

Oh well, live and learn - but anyone have any ideas of what shield fit my handheld?

It's like your handheld's wearing nothing at all
Tech Media makes an excellent, affordably-priced product that will protect your investment without making your Palm or Visor handheld screen hard to see or use.

Application was simple enough, as the shields act like those static-cling stickers that allow for easy removal. They're glossy and perfectly clear, and do not impact the contrast or resolution of your screen in any way. The writing surface is a little stickier, but it feels more like writing on paper than the unshielded screen does, which improves my Graffiti accuracy to a certain extent.

As for the size, I use these shields on a Handspring Visor Deluxe, and they're a perfect fit. As has been reported by other reviewers, they're not quite the right size for other Handspring models such as the Edge, but the instructions do prescribe trimming the shields in such cases.

This product is a must for Palm/Handspring device power users looking for the best screen protection available.

Good quality, but different than Palm's original styli
I lost the metal stylus that came with my Palm Vx, and disliked using the plastic one, so I ordered these as a replacement, since Palm's own do not specify clearly whether they are made of metal. Well, they arrived and are made of metal, but they don't have a reset pin and the head is different and stands out of the side of the case by a millimiter or so; these differences contributed to the 3 star rating. The quality is less than the original metal stylus.
