Pretty but...
A spectacular product to protect your Palm Vx!
Terrific case for the Palm VxIn looking at various cases in person, I tended to prefer cases with zippers to cases with snaps or straps as the zippered enclosure provides complete protection to all sides of the Palm. This case's small, lightweight design really complements the Vx itself. In my opinion, I cannot see a person buying a bulky case that also holds credit cards, a checkbook, etc. as that seems to defeat the purpose of buying a slim handheld like the Vx in the first place. That's not to say that this case doesn't have any storage whatsoever -- it has a single pocket for a driver's license, a few business cards or some extra cash. There's also a thoughtfully recessed area so the Vx's buttons aren't pressed by accident when the case is closed and in one's jacket or shirt pocket.
The black leather is top quality and this case seems very well made. The zipper glides smoothly and the Palm logo is attractively embossed on the front. Though somewhat more expensive than other Vx cases, this wonderful design is an excellent investment for any Palm V or Vx owner.

Not worth the moneyI usually go back and forth a lot between the three tips and it is a hassle. There are pens out there that simply require a twist at the barrel to select the tips. These are great because you don't even have to look and its so much quicker. I've seen these for less than $10.
The actual ballpoint pen is not much better than a $.05 plastic pens you buy in bulks. Where do they come up with these prices?
Forget about carrying a pen and a stylus...
Why carry two pens when you only have to carry one.

Excellent Idea but...Pro:
It gives you a decent input mechanism for the Palm.
Seems to be built well.
Low cost.
Con:
If you have the leather case for the Palm, the keyboard will not fit.
I realized that the only reason I wanted to use a keyboard to type into a Palm was because I didn't have a keyboard. Now that I have it, I haven't really used it.
Small but Powerful! After a couple of days, I'm falling in love. This keyboard has a lot of advantages over other 'portable' keyboards.
Size: Truly portable. Comparing it my friend's Stowaway, this thing just takes the cake.
Location: If you don't know yet, you slip this over the bottom of your handheld (in my case Visor). It stays in place remarkably well. It's rounded sides and larger profile, makes typing easy because the handheld is easier to hold.
Construction: Yes, it's plastic, but it's well made plastic. Everything has clean finished edges. I flexed my in my hand and it creaked a little bit, but not like it was going to fall apart suddenly.
In conclusion, I give this tiny but powerful keyboard four stars. It would have earned the coveted five star rating if it's keys were just a smudge bigger, or spaced out a bit more. If you have small fingers and great fine motor skills, you'll be typing out page-long emails in no time.
Simple and handyThe device is lightweight, easy to carry and fits right into the Palm. Keying in letters and other functions are a snap. I have fallen in love with this thing since I began to use it.
The only improvement I hope is to have a protective cover on the keys. To slip it on my Palm every time is not convenient enough. If there is a cover, I do not have to worry about touching the power-on button when it is attached to the Palm and stays that way all the time.

Small and Compact But Missing FunctionalityThe other negative factor is the location of the shift key but we humans will adapt to that.
Nice PDA keyboard

Nice While It Lasted
Slick PDAAnother great part of this CLIE is that it has the memory stick technology. Part of the travel I do requires working with a digital camera, I can take pictures, and view them on the clie simply by transfering them via the memory stick. You will be happy with this PDA, and soon your CLIE will go with you everywhere.

Okay case for PalmThe self-locking closure (listed in the product description) is not what I expected: I expected either a snap of some sort, or a magnetic-type closure. The strap used to close the case merely fits through the loop on the front; there is no snap or anything to hold it closed. So it doesn't stay as securely closed as I had hoped it would.
I do like the fact that there is a pocket for my Palm. I shopped for a while before I decided to purchase this case instead of one which only used velcro to hold the Palm in. Also, my Palm is just a tiny bit too large to fit comfortably in the pocket. Width-wise, it's fine, but it's a little too long, so that I don't have really easy access to the top of my Palm Screen. It's easy to get my Palm in & out to Sync it. While this case has room for a pen and your stylus, I find that I can only use the stylus holder, because if I put a pen in it too, the case doesn't close very well.
Overall, I'm satisfied with this case--it's not great, and it's not bad.
i have a question about a case
- Plug Thinmodem into any phone line
- 4-inch female plug
- Easy to use
- Portable and convenient
- Fits standard phone lines

Nice Accessory For ThinmodemOne problem is don't carry it in your pants pocket. It was convenient to carry it with me in my front pants pocket. I guess the constant bending and moving has stressed the wire going into the connector and mine has developed a short after only a couple of months of usage. It still works, but it's becoming very difficult to position the wire to make it work so I'm having to buy another one.
Not sure when I will use this but might be nice to have.

Warning, does not work with new 3850 model
If you travel, this is for youI grabbed one of these cables after my first trip with the cradle. I was worried that the cradle would be damaged enroute. The cable is very sturdy and takes up a fraction of the space of the cradle. This cable is about 3.5 feet long, plenty of length to go from a CPU under your desk to the desktop.
You will need to carry this cable and the charger for your trips, but it's easier than carrying the bulky USB cradle.
The whole theory of the Pocket PC is ultra portability; this items keeps it that way.

Same as Psion versionHere are my complaints: The reason that I was looking for an infra-red modem is so I could use my GoType Keyboard while I am surfing on the net. This will NOT work if you use a Palm Pilot! Even though it seems that there are two separate ports (infra-red and the serial port on the bottom), they are actually the same port with two different inputs. What this means is that you have to "turn off" the serial port on the bottom (where the GoType hooks into) in order to use the infra-red port (where the modem sends info into). This was a disapointment, but not much of a problem. Another thing that I noticed is that the modem is not too sensitive, and you must stay very close to it in order for it to work. But, all in all it was a good purchase, and I am happy I shopped around rather than just buying the more expensive Psion version.

Great case for office useA really nice combination and convenient for easy access.
Be the envy of all the geeks in your officeThere's space to stick your stylus, and when you open the case, it stays open. This is very important for you airplane Palm users.
There is one drawback. The Palm is secured by a piece of Velcro, and it cannot be synched-up when it's in the case. You will need to remove the Palm from the case to sync. I can see this possibly causing the velcro to die quicker than expected.
But, all in all, this case is very rich looking and worth the 40 bucks. Plus, it's made in the USA (how rare is that?)
