NECESSARY for NT4
If you still run Windows NT4 and you have an Ipaq, you cannot use USB. So either upgrade to 2000/XP, or buy this. Serial is really slow, though, so I'd recommend upgrading, personally.

Must Have for mobil users
I bought mine for the road and for just using while at work. I like it because i never have to pull my IPAQ out of the velcroed travel case that I use for carrying it. I am actually thinking of getting another one for home or even the usb version but really I haven't noticed any diff. in speed of transfer.

iPAQ Serial Auto Sync Cable
I purchesed the serial cable to apply to Windows NT network (USB does not work). Cable provides reliable connection - never had a failure. Very convenient and easy to use.

Difficult to setup, works great now.
Didn't work when I first connected to my ~2 year old Dell running WinME. Turns out I had to update several drivers. Dazzle online support did eventually come through for me, but it took several hours over a couple of nights to get it done.

Now it works great and I wouldn't want to be without it. So I recommend it for anyone who is knowledgeable and persistent with Microslop stuff, but I would probably not suggest it for others.

    Gets the job done.
I've had this reader for a couple months now, and it's worked without a hitch (under Win98). It's much much faster than the parallel reader I used to use. It's nothing fancy but it's worked for me really well.

    It works!
I'm using this handy little device on a Powerspec we bought from Microcenter in '99, running Windows '98. By no means a computer genius, I've had no problems with this at all. It's fast, simple, performs as advertised. I like that in a product.

    Great Idea, not-so-great Application
At first I thought another 8mb would be great for my Handspring Platinum. My Platinum had only 1mb free and I needed more space for my apps, I still needed to loaded Noah Dictionary and Mapopolis which would require another 3 or 4 megs (already had Vindigo and AvantGo and a few fairly large apps). The 8mb Flash module is *only* useful for some individuals.

Here's why I don't recommend it to everyone: 1) You can not edit ANY files on the flash module. Meaning Vindigo will not run from it or edit a picture/doc file from the module. 2) It adds a noticeable amount of weight to your visor especially if you carry it in your pocket. 3) If you have hackmaster (or similar), make sure you disable it when removing and installing the module. I duplicated the resulting crash many times and had to do a HardReset each time. 4) You will go through your batteries a little faster. 5) You cannot HotSync directly to the FlashModule. Meaning you have to install it to your Visor, and then transfer to the module. A big inconvenience if you are running low on space and have to play "musical apps" to get it on the module.

In summary, I love my Platinum, however I feel there are too many shortcomings to make it a truly useful item. Its price is not justified. However, if you don't mind the weight and inability to transfer *everything* to the module and run it this may be right for you. Users with large uneditable PDB files will be thankful for it, that's who I sold mine to!

    A tale of two PRISMs
There are some very informative reviews already written about this product so I won't repeat the details.

I own the Visor Prism and use it daily for a number of tasks. I keep a number of large spreadsheets on one of these modules and when I need them, copy them over to the working ram of my Prism.

I have found this unit to be very reliable.

    Handy for Handspring
As I continue to find great programs on my Visor, this module has
allowed me to load them on without worrying about running out of
space. I will probably buy a couple more to add to my collection
    of Visor gizmos.

    Space Bar Correction
Initially when I bought this product I had experienced the same space bar issue I read about later. I liked everything else about it. I was within warranty so I returned it for another, and this one works perfect. I like it much better than the infrared models and its extremely handy for meetings. HP gave me excellent service on this as well.

    Useful Add-on
I've been very satisfied with this keyboard, although I almost didn't get it after reading the reviews. Thankfully, I got it anyway! I'm a touch-typist with large hands, and I've been able to use it without having to look down very often. My fingers are able to get around to the keys well, but as another reviewer mentioned, some keys are in different places, like a notebook computer.

The unit folds down very compactly, which makes it easy to slip into a pocket or just tote along with the iPAQ.

My co-workers who also have iPAQs are very jealous of my keyboard, especially when I type in business cards or take notes in meetings. Highly recommended!

    Best Item for my PPC
This keyboard is the best purchase for my PPC. It is the most integrated keyboard and it is very compact and sleek. I recommend this product to everyone.

    It stinks!
Easily the worst investment I've ever made. The cheap leather falls apart after prolonged use. The metal bar that's suppose to hold the Palm V in place doesn't; as a result, my Palm V kept falling out of its case and onto the floor/ground. After months of frustrating use, I found the time to buy a Palm V Hardcase. Bottom line: this leather case is a total disappointment; save yourself some aggravation and look elsewhere.

    SUCKS
The leather is ugly, the metal bar is useless, and worst of all... it doesnt even cover my Palm completely!!!

    Top Quality All The Way
VERY high quality leather and superb looks. I have owned several different Palm V cases and this Dooney & Bourke is the best for my application. Adequate protection, extremely high quality look, feel, and touch, and, most of all, exceptional accessibility to the unit itself. I'm very pleased.

Ok, but does not fit all Casiopeias
Claims to fit Casio Cassiopeias and other Pocket PC PDAs. Had to cut it to fit my Cassiopeia. It does protect the screen well although it does get marked up pretty quickly. As well it is had to get off cleanly and the put another one on.

    A sticky way to protection
Write Right screen protectors are handy, effective, and a real pain to install.
I'm not a microsurgeon, but I've been working with electronics for thirty years and I thought putting on a thin piece of plastic would be a cinch!
    WRONG!
In the first place, your screen must be immaculate or you'll end up with tiny bumps to mess up your writing and drag-and-drop technique. Do you know what to use to clean your screen? Neither do I. Everyone has a different idea about what's safe, and what will damage the screen. I've been using a glasses cleaner that my optician gave me and it works better than anything else I've tried. (The screen hasn't turned purple or stopped working either!)
The most important thing is to use a LINT-FREE cloth! Lens tissue works, but I don't like the feel. My optician helped there too! Soft, felt-like material that seems to have no weave.
Anyway, once you have the clean screen you can make an attempt. Follow the directions in the package...so simple! Line up an edge, carefully pulling it off the backing...darn! Crooked again!
Start over...Rats! One more time...close enough. Use the card to squish out the bubbles...okay. What's that stuff under the corner? Dirt? BR>You get the idea!
Once you get one on, be careful of the card! You can snag the film and tear it. I have yet to put on a protector without at least one tiny chunk of grit under it!
They do write smooth! My wife (who can put a protector on in ten seconds flat, no problems) uses a ball point pen as a stylus about half the time. She changes out protectors when she can't see through the ink any more.
We both will NOT use our PDA's without the screen protectors. They are more than worth the investment and the hassle of getting them on right.

    no label on it now
I bought 98048 (for ipaq) from CompUSA. No trademark on it.
It's a little bit small for the screen, and difficult to paste
it on without any bubble. It protects the screen anyway.

    nice
Nice little unit. It's constructed pretty solidly and looks pretty handsome on the desk. A must have accessory.

    HP Jornada 525 Cradle - A Plus
Absolutely a convenient optional accessory for jornada 520-540 users. Setback is speed with its serial connection compared to more updated USB capability that is not available for these type of jornada. Works great for sync and recharge.

    Works great! Feels great
I also own a Palm Pilot with cradle so I didn't have great expectations for the HP cradle. I was delighted to see that the HP cradle was heavier, better built, and adds a power plug as a bonus. When I sit this down and use it, it doesn't slide about my desk because of the steel base and rubber feet. I am very happy with this cradle.

    Not for Visor Prism
This is a nice little case - compact and holds the Visor nicely in the plastic clips. When I owned the Visor Neo, it was indispensable. Unfortuneately, when I upgraded to the Visor Prism, I no longer had a use for it. I was hoping to find one with the slim design and plastic clips that perfectly conform to the Visor, but I just ended up with another one of these that had been mislisted as being for the Prism. Ask questions before you buy if looking for the Prism model!

    Snazzy leather
This is a great item to protect your Handspring Visor's screen, but unless it is the only item in your purse or briefcase, it's going to get banged around and your PDA will not be protected from dust.

Every time I pull mine out of my purse, it's covered with lint from tissues or one of the other 9 million items I've got flying around in there. The slot for the stylus is not secure as it is in the Handspring itself, so if you put a stylus in there, chances are that it will fall out and be buried in the bottom of your handbag.

The leather is supple and fine quality, but if I was going to look for a new cover/protector for my Handspring, I would get one that would enclose it completely and protect it from dust, moisture and jostling.

Warning is NOT for all Handspring Visors
This is a nice case but it is not advertised correctly. The ad states that it fits all Visor Handhelds, it does not, and it clearly states this on the box. Do not buy this case if you own a Visor Edge (as I do) or the Vison Prism

    Does not work with Earthlink
I thought this would be a great handeld. I tried to use it, called & emailed HP MANY times over the past 6 months. Finally, HP tech support said that it MIGHT not work with Earthlink and that I must change my ISP. Why didn't HP note that in the specs before I spent $(...)? If you're thinking about this unit, try to find out if it works with your ISP first.

    How new is this product
would like to know how new is this product. Does it have any scratches when u say its refurbished. What are the accessories that come with this prodcut. Basically how new does it looks.

The J720/728 series works with earthlink!
I just want to refute the top review here, I have a 720, which is the same as the 728, just less memory, and i have accessed my Earthlink account to get on line more than once. I can't do it from home, but it worked in the expedia cafe in LAX, and in New Jersey, at my relatives' house.

    A waste of money
This product appears to be nothing an overpriced, cutesy-named ("Brain Wash") box of alcohol wipes. The "wet" wipes seem to be pretty much the same as those things you buy to clean your eyeglasses, and the "dry" wipes are, well, basically a napkin. As far as I could tell from using it, this product does nothing for the screen of your PDA that a small shot of Windex and a soft cloth couldn't.

    Not that big a deal
I probably won't buy it again, because (as another reviewer pointed out) it's really nothing more than screen cleaner & wipes in cute individual packages. Sure, there's a convenience factor there, but how often do you need that kind of convenience when you're cleaning something? The wet wipe is large enough to clean about three full-sized monitors, so it really does seem like overkill for a PDA. I always clean my PDA and desktop monitor at the same time, so I don't feel like I'm wasting.

I might use it if I were travelling a great deal with a laptop. Otherwise, for your desktop computer, save some money and grab a bottle of screen cleaner & an old dishtowel instead.

Good, works great for PC monitors
This is a good product... One overlooked item is that they are pretty good for cleaning PC monitors!. After you clean your PDA screen, use them on your PC monitor (unless your PDA was really, really dirty. It works great for removing finger smudges.
