Download functions did not work thoroughly. Keyboard functions laid out very poorly. Removal of number pad a big mistake. Entering or working with numbers a pain. Secondary functions are not consistent. It's attractive, but not functional.

I love my Sharp OZ. In fact, it has changed my ability to be where I should be and at the right time. I much prefer it to the Palm/ stylus style organizer. The text is big and t's simple to type on the keyboard, even using hunt-and-peck.I used the call-in 800 number to help me with synchronizing/ backing up onto my PC,and was very satisfied. The one big caveat: I dropped my Wizard onto pavement and the case broke. It still functions, however. I am sending it into SHARP today; I am hoping for a replacement...will let you know. Over all, a GREAT organizer for the money.

This is the most convenient and easy to use PDA ever made. The QWERTY keyboard layout is the best thing about it. No other PDA offers this nice easy to use keyboard. The fact that you can download info from mywizard.com is a bonus too. I have hundreds of business and personal addresses and phone numbers stored in my Wizard and I sync them with my PC. The Day-Timer software that came with it is very user-friendly. I believe you can sync it with Outlook too although I have never done that. Great organizer!

I bought this case for my Jornada 540 and I found that the case is extremly big. Even there is a place to hold 2 extra battery these are useless for my Jornada, but they can be used for a pen.

Anyway the case protect my pocket PC and that's the major issue of this product.

Well-made case, very good materials and workmanship. It is very large for a Palm or Visor, but it's a perfect fit for the iPaq with the CF card sleeve, which many cases won't accomodate.

Five stars for materials, finishing, and handcrafted-like style.
Four or even less if you consider it as a case for your Jornada or Palm. It is enormous! YouÂ'll have to wrap your device to adapt it into the case.
But if you have a Targus Stowaway keyboard, youÂ'll be glad to protect it with this case. It is perfect for that accessory.
Jornada users: try to get a Copilot case instead to dress your P/PC.

There are data syncing issues with this model and other strange behaviors. Unfortunately Viewsonic is no longer offering an upgrade to Pocket PC 2003 which should fix some of these issues. Here is the response from their technical support: "The PPC 2003 upgrade CD for the Pocket PC V37 is no longer in production.". I personally would not purchase anything that can't be upgraded! Buyer beware! The screen resolution is not that great either.

Regarding the previous review concerning battery anomalies - they can be fixed. However, all PDA's have problems with dumping memory when the battery runs out. You will learn how long your PDA lasts given your personal use, and how often you must overnight-charge it (or use a travel charger).

I've had many Pocket PC's - this is the fastest, lightest, easiest to use that I have tried. Much better than many of the iPaqs.

I've owned two IPAQs, and several PALMs. This is the best little gadget I ever had. The screen is so bright that even battery-saving settings are clear. Battery life is good, almost 4 hours continuous. Having a Flash Memory and an SD card I record music, books and games. You can listen to headphones and read a book at the same time for hours!

I will never purchase an iConcepts product again.

I purchased this from Micro Center a couple of months ago, used it for the first time today.

It seemed to fit all the particulars, as it would provide charging power through the USB connection, which is a better
system that what the handspring USB hotsync cable provides.

The original handspring cable requires you to lug the original charger around.

I plugged this into the USB port on my PC (a Pentium III
running Linux).

The charging indicator on my handspring did not light up,
so I reasoned that it should be plugged into my USB Hub
(which has external power).

After I plugged the handspring in, I was rewarded by a hard
reset of my handspring, which caused ALL data to be lost.

My theory is that something drained the battery, or shorted some
pins together on the Treo. In any event, no accessory which
causes data loss will ever receive a positive rating from me.

I purchased this for my new Treo 600, and was happy to discover that it worked just fine. However, contrary to the last review I read, this does NOT have the dedicated button to initiate a hotsync. If you want that button, you can always pay...more and buy Handspring's version of this cable. I am happy to save that money and launch the Hotsync manually.

This little cable is a great travel kit item or for a spare "office" sync-n-charge(tm) cable.

Unlike the one reviewers comment there is (at least now) a light grey hotsync button on the Treo connector.

Not much more to say, it is as advertised, works great, packs small, and allows charging and sync operations without the AC adapter having to tag along. About the only way to improve this would be to make it cheaper or package some free software with it (like a Mac OS X program to talk over the USB port to the Treo in "modem" mode;great for debugging treo programs; great for using the treo as a modem for the laptop).

Knowing how delicate Palms are, I bought this for my new IIIxe. The leather belt clip types just don't offer ANY drop protection and I thought this thing would. Boy was I wrong! Dropped it less than 2 feet and discovered the corners aren't protected at all, now I'm looking at a $100 screen replacement. I'm throwing this thing away and buying rhinoskin.

When I decided to buy a Cassiopeia E-105 from Amazon.com, this case popped up as an option. I ordered it, unfortunately, my Casio won't fit into this case at all. It's a great-looking case, so I was disappointed.

I've broken 2 screens on my Palm III and I think I've finally found the answer in the Incase Palm Top Case. The covering really protects while not looking like something that would survive a nuclear attack. The blue color is great. I believe that torque is the issue with me when it comes to my broken screens. This case offers much more protection than my fancy expensive leather wallet type case. It could use a bit more storage space for cards and such. Overall, I'm very pleased and would highly recommend this item.

needed a quiet solution to my pda alarm and a little extra storage space. This 2MB vibrating module was the answer. works well and is very reliable. set up and file storage are easy and it kept me from being embarassed during meetings when i need the alarms on to remind me of something.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

When I got mine, I puchased two... one for my friend's birthday, and one for me. We have both had very good expirences with them.

The file mover application is very easy to use. It's especially nice, because you can back up your address book, and memo's, to do lists, and all that. You can set the length of the vibration from anywhere to 1 second all the way up to one minute. THe vibrating works nicely. And in both mine, and my friends experiences, it is definately not noisy. Actually, it is one of the least noisy vibrations I've heard. It's quiet enough that I can let it go of in my American Lit. Class, when everyone is reading, and have no one hear it. When it's on a desk, that's a different story, though. It is powerful enough to notice in a coat pocket, or the cargo pocket of your pair of pants.



Overall, I gave this product a five. It did exactly what it is supposed to do. It stores 2 megs worth of applications, and it vibrates. Plus, it does it all without affecting your battery life. For the price, it's definately an addon worth buying.

Although the description says this cable works with all Visor handhelds, the cable does not fit the HotSync port on the Visor Edge. It's a different size. I found this out the hard way.

I have an older 8MB Handspring that came with a USB hotsync cradle. I forgot to put the baby-gate back up to prevent my rabbit from getting into my office and before I could catch him, he whisked by the cable to my cradle and it was neatly severed in half.

I went to different computer stores that sold my model of Handspring a few years ago, and none of them could help me... I was stuck w/o synching capabilities... curse my bunny!

I was extremely happy to see that Amazon carried this Belkin sync cable. It's better than the cradle because it takes up almost no room on the desktop and can easily be folded away when not in use. Also a great asset to have if you travel and don't want your cradle to get crushed in transit.

Works like a charm!

This cable's perfect for syncing to your laptop while on the road. It's not too long, so it packs real well in my already crammed Powerbook carrying case. Especially for the price, it's indespensible for keeping your PDA & Laptop in sync while on extended road trips.

One wonders if anyone at Fellowes tested this out before manufacture.

The bad -

Dock Lock: The first unit I received had such a flimsy lock that the keyboard would not stay docked with my Visor Neo. I tried tape, but it was only partly effective and makes removing the PDA for Hotsync difficult. And for the price, one shouldn't have to hold the thing together with tape! On advice of Fellowes customer service, I exchanged the keyboard/case for another. The tiny lock is much better but still prone to disengage occasionally, so I must ensure it's still latched before I turn on the PDA. Customer service is also sending me a shim kit that is supposed to help the Neo fit more snugly.

Stylus: The stylus (still needed at times) is cheap plastic with a poor feel, but the PDA's much nicer one is inaccessible in this case. The stylus conveniently stores in the back of the case, but this prevents the case from lying completely flat, so typing is sometimes a little bouncy.

Keyboard: At the most, two fingers can be comfortably used for typing. Since the left side of the case is thicker than the right which contains the keyboard, using the left hand is more difficult because it bumps against the side of the case. I have yet to find a use for some of the buttons.

The good -

Sturdy case.
Quicker, more error-free character entry that with Graffiti (at least for me).
Useful enough to be a keeper despite its flaws, but I'll keep an eye out for the next generation.

I bought one today, I just had to try this out. I own the Targus folding keyboard. But w/ that keyboard, you are limited to where you can use it, but I do like the Targus keyboard.

After loading the software & having a chance to try it out (Type N Go), I am not sure if I like the Type N Go. The other reviewers are right about this product. It will not work w/ your Handspring, if the connection w/ the Type N Go is not good. So adding some tape or velcro to the top will add tension. And the lock does have a tenedency to become unlock. So be aware of this flaw. Using the keyboard is awkward. I guess it will take some time to get used to. I just have to learn how all the different keys/functions work. I know it took a little time to get used to the Targus keyboard. The buttons are on the small side, but I can easily type faster than using the graffiti writing. You can pretty much do all the functions on the Type N Go. BUT, you still have to use a stylus on some functions. Do not be misled that the stylus is used minimal. But something that has not been mentioned from other reviewers is, the Type N Go has its own stylus, that is built in on back of the case. This is a nice feature, that you do not have to unlock the Handspring to use that stylus. It's just a plain stylus w/ no ball point pen. But it is accessible if you need to use a stylus for some functions.

The case is a bit bulky. But not as bulky as when I had a Targus case to carry the Handspring & the Targus keyboard. What's nice about the Type N Go case is, it will protect your Handspring & you can do most functions using the keyboard. With the Targus keyboard, I had to hook up the Handspring to it. For those who own the Targus keyboard, you know how difficult it can be to dock your Handspring to it. It can be quite frustrating at times. Also, there is a backlight button on the Type N Go. You can toggle the backlight to be on or off, not like the backlight on the Handspring, which will turn off your unit, then you have to it turn back on.

With the Type N Go, after I get used to it, I may not have to use the graffiti anymore. I just need to get used to holding it, see what feels comfortable. After a few minutes of holding the case, you're hand gets a bit tired. The case & the Handspring weighs some, & you will feel the weight after some time using. I've tried putting it down flat on the table. Works great, but the glare from the light affects the screen. So tilting it helps.

This product is a good idea, but something that would improve on the design would be to somehow lock the case open flat. Or to have it locked slightly folded, so you can have a better hold in your hand. If Fellowes reads this, and they can improve w/ this suggestion, I think they'll sell a ton of the Type N Go.

So this product is good, it just needs a refinement for better holding. One last note, I'm right handed, so using the Type N Go feels okay. I'm not sure left handed users will be comfortable using this, I don't know, just a thought.....

When I was planning the purchase of a keyboard for my Visor Deluxe, I considered the larger portable keyboards, but they were too big even when folded (like carrying 2 PDAs), needed to be connected every time you wanted to type, and require a flat surface for use.
This item addresses these problems nicely. Because it serves as a PDA case and a keyboard, the total size is nearly the same as a paperback, which I know may be too big for some, but perfectly manageable. The case itself is pretty tough, and the keyboard is always connected to the PDA (and easily disconnects for Hotsyncing or going light) so it's always available, like when that quick note turns into a magnum opus. And although this item works best on a flat surface, you can definitely use it while holding it in your hands. An additional feature is that the case is partially covered in a nonskid surface so that when the case is open it won't slide, like off an airplane tray table.
As might be expected, you have to accept some inherent design compromises, which to me were acceptable. First, the keyboard - which resembles a Blackberry - is not as well situated as a Blackberry, since it is on the side opposite the PDA when the clamshell case is open. This makes for awkward typing. Another problem, reported by another reviewer (THANKS!), is that the PDA can be a little loose in the plug, but a few discrete layers of double-sided tape increased the tension so that this problem is eliminated.
For me these shortcomings are acceptable compared to those of the large keyboards. Very handy PDA accessory!

You guys have serious trouble with subtraction and percentages.
30.00-10.11=19.89, not 29.88. And 25% of would be 7.50 off or 23.50. NOT EVEN CLOSE!

At first I was very excited to get this case! The color is great! However, after much use, scratches appeared on the leather. The visor holder occasionally lets the visor spring out of its holder. If you're using your visor all the time and everywhere, I don't recommend this type of case--probably a velcro one would be more secure.

I'd agree with others that the case is different in color from the picture (it's darker). It's still handsome though. "Bright Analine" just means that the leather is marbelized with a gloss. This case should protect the visor very well and last a long time. I've had no problems with the visor popping out in past cases; this one gives a nice tight fit.
Handspring has lowered prices on 3 other cases- distressed leather, chestnut rustic, and cognac bridle. As soon as Amazon follows suit I will be buying more cases. You can't go wrong with any of Handspring's cases. They are extremely well made and built to last. You won't be disappointed if you buy this case.

This is not a wallet with a place to put money, as the picture shows shows. Also, the card slots are oriented vertically, instead of horizontally.

It perfectly fit my palm but I expected it to have a section for your cash.

I received the iten not only in perfect conditions but also quite fast.
