Stay Away!!!
Pristine ScreenPRO: *fairly easily applied, no different than taking care to apply any other adhesive. *protects entire screen from any scratches or smudges--or those annoying mini-scratches that accumulate in one area like perma-smudge. *the writing surface is somewhat less slippery, improving accuracy. *they say to replace them monthly, though they're not significantly depleted of utility by then. *reduces the glare on the screen. **SPEED: Because I'm no longer anxious about scratching the screen, I'm writing more quickly. This was nothing I anticipated and makes them well worth the minimal investment.
CON: *visibility issues-though these are greatly minimized by adjusting the contrast. *would be perfect if slightly easier to apply perfectly-I'm not particularly well coordinated, though, and I have done it repeatedly.
So maybe I'd give 'em a 4.5 if there were such a thing, but I can't, so five it is.
Great for protecting your investmentJust be patient, take your time, and put this on. Prevent costly damages from happening!

Difficult to manage WaypointsThe screen is very readable in full sunlight, better than any I have seen. The rocker switch makes text entry for track and waypoint descriptions easy.
However, once you have waypoints marked it is extremely difficult to delete them. This is because there is no function to bring up the waypoint list except the "Find" key. If you have waypoints far-away from you, you cannot delete them because you can only "find" waypoints near your current position.
Well, mine came with 2 waypoints outside of the United States, one was Garmin Europe, the other Garmin Taiwan. These points do not show up if I use the find function as they are too far away.
I see no way to delete these waypoints. Also, since there is no Waypoint management screen, you have to delete the waypoints you can find one at a time.
The MapSource program does not allow you to delete the waypoints, so how do you get rid of Garmin's headquarters?
This seems like a very ridiculous limitation for a NEW GPS unit in this price range.
The MapSource program allows for a DXF export, all I could get was 5 points and a single line. I had collected 7 tracks and 30 waypoints.
O.K., why is Garmin putting games on the GPS units? I would rather have the ability to manage waypoints than 5 stupid games.
Without WAAS I was getting +/- 18 feet (at least thats what the screen said). I was able to collect track and waypoints under canopy, but I did notice I lost track points while circling a large riparian area.
Track points can be set to collect once per second.
Summary:
I like the unit, but not being able to easily manage waypoints is a major limitation.
What would make it better?
1) Ability to Delete all waypoints
2) Waypoint Management Menu screen
3) Allow more than 20 tracks
4) Remove corny games, why would you be playing these games at sea? This is a MARINE unit...
Suggestion:
If you are looking for a GPS unit for Data Collection, this ain't it. Unit has the potential to be a great tool, but un-professional limitations restrict its use to a fancy toy.
Costly Marine Software
Works well in SunlightThe screen is very readable in full sunlight, better than any I have seen. The rocker switch makes text entry for track and waypoint descriptions easy.
Managing Waypoints is a bit cryptic. This is because there is no function to bring up the waypoint list except the "Find" key.
At first I did not realize I could search by name, there are many submenus whith additioanl functions. I think it would work better if there was simply a WayPoints menu (there is one for Tracks, and one for Routes, why leave waypoints out?) rather than having to "Find" your waypoints.

O.K., why is Garmin putting games on the GPS units? I would rather have the ability to easily manage waypoints or more tracks than 5 stupid games.
Without WAAS I was getting +/- 21 feet (7 meters) on top of a levee, and +/- 49 feet under canopy, at least thats what the screen said. I was able to collect track and waypoints under different levels of canopy, but I did notice I lost track points while circling a large riparian area with 40-50 foot trees.
Track points can be set to collect once per second, or by distance. The smallest distance is .1 mile, it would be better if it could go down to meters. Track display is very good.
Summary:
I like the unit, but Waypoint Management could be easier.
What would make it better?
1) Waypoint Management Menu screen
2) Allow more than 20 tracks
3) Pulldown box descriptions for Waypoints, Tracks, with user item entrys, like "tree", "River", so I don't have to enter every letter every time.
4) Remove corny games, why would you be playing these games at sea? This is a MARINE unit...

Not too happy!
Exelent choice for carrying a nacked iPACWhat I really like is that it has a belt clip, very much like the ones used by some of the high quality cell phones. It slips on the belt, and a "button" on the back of the case securely "snaps" into the holder. To remove the iPAC along with the case, you push a large button on the top of the belt clip and the case easily slides up and out. When you are ready to put it away, it "snaps" securely in place. Another thing I like is that I carry mine on the right side, which covers the right hand pants pocket. The case, mounted on the belt loop easily "swivels" out of the way to allow easy access to the pocket.
The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that the portion of the belt clip where the belt slips through could have been made to more easily accomidate various belt "thicknesses". The belt I use is somewhat thick,(as opposed to "wide") but not at all uncommonly thick. The belt clip accomidates it, but just barely, and putting it on the belt is a pain, especially where the belt holes have been stretched "out" by strain on the belt by my little bit to large stomach. You have to exert some "muscle grese" to slip the clip onto and up the belt to its desired location.
I don't wear a shirt with a pocket very often, and when I do, I still prefer the iPAC holder because it is secure, there is no added weight to the shirt pocket and you don't notice the iPAC at all mounted on your belt ... even sitting down it swivels out of the way.
I use my iPAC a lot for listening to mp3's that I download. The flap on the case works beautifully to hold the earphone plug snugly in the earphone recepticle on the IPAC, something I had trouble with before I got the Rhino Case. I remove the iPAC with case frequently during the day, and the large "release" button on the belt clip works easily to release the case from its "locked" position without having to look down to the clip ... it is easily done by feel alone.
Of all the add-ons I have purchased for my iPAC, becides additional SD Memory for mp3s, the Rhino case is, by far, the most useful and, for me, essential of the lot. To top it off, it has worked flawlessly as advertised and the fit to the iPAK is perfect. Now, the question is, how long will it be before either something breaks on the belt clip, or the eye on the back of the case comes off (as so often happens with cell phones that use this same system). Once either of those events happens it will be time or order another RhinoSkin Leather Flip Case.
Good fit for my IPAQ, mostly. The post mount is a plus, since it's compatible with any Nokia phone post mount.

High on Coolness, mediocre on functionality. For those of us with Clies, the Stowaway is the way to go, at least until there's a Stowaway XT ported to our platform. It's a shame, because the Belkin really has a lot going for it.
Belkin Sony Keyboard -- almost right
It works fine with the new driver!!!I heard that there were numerous driver issues with the keyboard but after loading the most recent (June, 2003) drivers from the Belkin website I had very litle problems. The driver failure after PDA sleeps has also been fixed. On almost all my word processing programs, I am able to type VERY fast and have an instantaneous response on the screen. The programs I was successful in typing were: All of Sony's built in planning functions (Memo, Address, etc.), SheetToGo (like Excel), and BugMe.
The feedback on the keyboard feels just like a full size laptop keyboard. The only problem is that the right shift key feels just a tiny bit too far to the right and the spacebar must be hit close to the center in order for it to work. However, this keyboard has many advantages compared to other keyboards like the Targus Stowaway Ultra-thin. The Ultra-Thin lacks a whole row of numbers at the top while the Belkin has a seperate one. This allows the keyboard to have more functions and type much more naturally. The adapter port for charging the PDA is a bit difficult to insert, but again that's a minor issue. Other keyboards I have seen also have been too small or the keys too tiny, or the feedback too low. Belkin seems to have got it just right.
The only software that I have problems with is WordToGo from the DocumentsToGo suite. It seems to crash (Fatal Exception) with keyboard use no matter what I've tried, whether it's editing an old document or creating a new one. The menu function on the keyboard also only works to bring down the menu but doesn't allow me to use the arrows on the keyboard to select an option. However, after talking to both the DocumentsToGo (DTG) and Belkin technical support, I have pretty much concluded that Palm OS 4.1 is the culprit. It looks as though the all problems have been fixed in OS 5.0 and the best thing to do is upgrade DTG to the most recent version (6.0). I'm still hoping I can somehow fix the WordToGo crash issue by getting better keyboard support for my 4.0 version of DTG. I found a relatively easy way to compensate for this though...I just use "Memo" to type everything I need and I just copy and paste it into WordToGo! *I heard WordSmith may have better compatibility*
This sure is one cool keyboard and I highly recommend especially at the ridiculous cheap price you can buy it through ebay. It's safe to say that you CAN use this like a laptop. I just wish I had a newer model of the CLIE, since it looks as though those models have no problems with WordToGo. :)

Not enough Bang for Your Buck
Feels good, looks good, but quality problemsBut two weeks after I got the case, the snap came apart. To Amazon's credit, they sent an immediate replacement. But the replacement's strap was just short enough to make the male and female snap pieces not meet easily.
I'm going to keep the case anyway and see what happens. But my experience points to some quality control issues at Handspring manufacturing.

Mathes my visor
1) Almost IMPOSSIBLE to get it straight on the screen and with out bubbles in it.
2)Makes your screen VERY blurry and hard to read. You can no longer use programs such as "Palm Mirror" because the shean on the screen that is used to give you a reflection, is gone.
Luckilly I was able to return these TWENTY DOLLAR dissapointments without any trouble. I can't strees enough, DO NOT BUY THESE unless you want to totally waste 20 dollars!!
