a bit dinkyI wanted a case which didn't involve either velcro or animal skin, so this seemed like a good option. however, it's very difficult to open the first week or so of use, after which it starts to loosen up to the point that it opens when you don't want it to. it's thin and light, yes-but be careful; it's so thin that I actually nearly cut myself on the edges a couple times. I'm seriously thinking of taking mine back and shelling out the extra [money] for the palm brand one.
A nice case but overpriced for what you get.I bought the RhinoSkin Aluminum Slider Hardcase to protect
my Visor Pro. The sturdy aluminum construction is rather
attractive and does protect the PDA exceptionally well, but
at number of disadvantages. First, it is boxy and does not
fit comfortably into pants pockets. So, if you buy this case
expect to keep it in a larger coat pocket or to carry it by
hand. Second, the slider emits a rather annoying squeaking
sound which I can only liken to fingernails on a chalk
board. Third, it is not comfortable to use the PDA while still in
the case. I just remove it from the case when I want to use
it for extended periods of time. Finally, when it arrived
case the edges on the metal where sharp and required a
polishing with a Drummel tool to get to a point where I
would not fear cutting myself or ripping pockets on the
corners of the box. I paid (price) for this? Well... besides
its cost and having to polish the edges before using it, its
really not that bad and YES it really does protect the PDA
exceptionally well. I've mistakenly dropped it now three
times since I've bought it(once from a height of over 5
feet) and no damage. So, in a sense maybe it is worth the
cost given that buying a new Visor Pro would be much more
expensive. I just wish someone would make a more functional
metal case for a PDA this size.

Expensive but good protective caseThe new molded case for m500 just came out from rhinoskin, which has a nicer design and less bulky appearance. I couldn't wait so I bought the slider a month ago and overall it's been a good case. It passed the drop test once on a ceramic floor, so I feel somewhat qualified to write a review. The advantage of the slider is that you can fold the cover back 360 degrees, it makes a noise but it's not exceedingly annoying. The palm rests in the slider a little less snug than preferred, but it stays intact and it's very easy to disengage the palm from the case to hotsync. The aluminum cover scratches easily if you put keys in the same pocket. Big minuses are its bulk, looks and price tag, but I bought it for the peace of mind.

a bit dinkyI wanted a case which didn't involve either velcro or animal skin, so this seemed like a good option. however, it's very difficult to open the first week or so of use, after which it starts to loosen up to the point that it opens when you don't want it to. it's thin and light, yes-but be careful; it's so thin that I actually nearly cut myself on the edges a couple times.

The advantage of the slider is that you can fold the cover back 360 degrees, it makes a noise but it's not exceedingly annoying. waste of moneySynching is tricky (and the process is not spelled out appropriately in the user guide) but I finally figured out the nuances after much trial and error and boy was I excited! Too bad the thing died on me a few weeks later. I bought it because I wanted the smallest organizer possible to carry in my purse replacing my address book and the scraps of paper I jot notes on. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out which Palm or Handspring is smallest, lightest and most reliable for a reasonable price. Yes, the Echo is inexpensive, but it's also cheap.
Great value at [$].This credit card sized PDA has most of the typical features that would make one consider a PDA. I purchased my ECHO on sale for [$]. I mention this so it can be taken in consideration in light of my 4 star rating. As mentioned by another reviewer, the screen can be hard to see at times. Some of the icons are not clear at first. Now that I have them memorized, and know what they do, its not a problem. I noticed a reviewer mentioning that they had to change list into text etc. This is not necessary. There are two software packages on the CD, although this may not be as obvious as it could be. One is an stand alone onragizer program that runs on the windows desktop and links with the PDA. This program's look is a bit unattractive, but it is easy to use and does the job. The second software program allows you to synchronize the PDA with a variety of well known programs like MS Outlook, Lotus Organizer and others. I have addittionally tested it with MS Outlook XP, and MS Outlook 2003 BETA 2 with success. The only reason that I did not give this device 5 out of 5 stars is do to the lack of support for the TO DO list in an organizer program.
One Small Step for PDAs, One Giant Leap for kidsHello shoppers! I have been looking for a good, affordable PDA ever since about 1 month ago. One day, I was on the Office Depot Website, and they had this on sale for only 9.99! I thought to myself, why not try it out. The dilivery date(The one they gave me anyways) was the 22nd of October. It actualy came the day before.
This PDA sometimes does not synchronize with your computer, well thats the trouble I had, until I bothered to look on the box which said that you must update the Sync. Program. I did, and it worked! All though it is not backlit, it is awsome. It can do conversions like Miles to Cm, or Euros to Yuns, whatever!!! I would reccoment this to anybody, excpecialy people who dont want to spend 100+ dollars on a PDA!

Fussy- poor designThe cradle is very finicky. The fit is not very tight and I have to press down on the top of the palm pilot to ensure the contacts are touching. Plus, it has it's own power plug AND the USB connection. I'd recommend the USB cable instead. It connects snugly, easily and is only one thing to plug in, plus very reliable long term. Charges fast too. This cradle just fell short all the way around.
Bad fit for Palm m130It's a shame Palm did not make a special cradle for the Palm m125 and m130, since the Palm is not very stable in this cradle. Perhaps they will release a special cradle in the near future. In the mean time, you might want to invest in a cable.
Slower, But CheaperI bought this cradle because I have to leave the USB cradle that came with my Palm M515 at the office. I chose a serial cradle for two reasons: all of my USB ports are filled at home and this cradle was significantly cheaper than a USB model.
I find that the cradle is quite a bit slower. This would be a problem if I did as many Hotsync operations at home as I do at the office. Since I only sync at home to updat my AvantGo data and to re-charge my Palm, this cradle works fine.
If you need a cradle for a situation similar to mine, don't waste your money on the more expensive USB model unless you're really impatient.

Worst product I ever boughtThis is one of the cheesiest companies out there. Stay away from them and their products.
A little oversoldI read all the reviews on here and purchased the starter kit with my new clie based on the enthusiasm displayed. However, I am a bit disappointed. The 6 screen protectors were not universal, they were for specific handhelds and none for my clie. I tried cutting one to fit but ended up with alot of bubbles and just got rid of it. The case is a little bulky and prevents you from putting the PDA in your pocket. The wet dry wipes are okay but other stuff on the market, like glass wipes and alcohol wipes, will do the same thing. The only really useful item is the 4in1 stylus but the black ink quit working after 3 days. My advice is not to order this until you use the PDA for awhile and then decide that there are some additional items needed to make it more useful.
Great case, stylus and more for good priceFinally something of "all in one" types of products for maintaining your Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) for small price comparing to the price of items of same quality sold separately. I have Handspring and I found this product very useful because of great case of real hi-quality leather and multi functional stylus I felt in love with. I think that this product will satisfy needs of every owner of any type of PDA, never mind if it is Handspring, Palm, Sony, IBM or even Pocket PC. And I think that this is specially useful for those who recently bought new PDA and do not have time or will to experiment for choosing right case or spare styli, or as a gift for someone who spends time with PDA. I give it 5 stars.
