Extended Battery with MMC
The package arrives in a box with some documentation and couple of hardware add-ons:

CD with SD/MMC driver software
Extended Battery
Instruction documentation

You must first install the drivers before attaching the extended battery/MMC. To attach the PC Card adapter to the Jornada, you first have to remove the CF lid. You also remove the standard battery and insert the extended battery. This is slightly bigger than the standard one. Once it is attached, you'll notice that the reset hole is no longer accessible. You have to remove the adapter first before you can reset the machine. This is a minus. To fit the unit into the cradle you will also have to remove the plastic insert on the back of the cradle. The insert has the HP logo on it and just slides up. Once you remove that the battery + Jornada fits smuggly as designed. The only accessory I had trouble with is a Type I to Type II Compact Flash adapter, which does not fit when the battery pack is attached to the Jornada. The bottom of the adapter hits the top of the battery preventing the adapter from being completely inserted into the Compact Flash slot. The MMC slot is situated at the left side of the adapter.

When attaching the battery to my HP Jornada the battery lock becomes difficult to move when I want to unlock and remove the battery. The extended battery also does not fit the Jornada as nicely as the regular battery that comes with the Jornada. The pack is much larger and heavier than the regular Jornada battery, so there must be a bigger battery in it. The rechargable Li-Polymer battery works up to about 20 hours(HP estimates high at 28) on a single charge (estimate with backlight off, actual battery life will vary based on usage) - battery life is approximately double that of the standard battery

The only other problem I found is that when you install programs you want that folder name to always be the same, but with this extended battery the folder name can change when you reset the device and you don't have a CF card inserted. (Of course, this would be a non-issue if Microsoft had named the folders by the type of card, eg. CF Storage, and SD Storage that will always be the same. If there is a Compact Flash card in the Jornada when you reset the Jornada it will always be identified as Storage Card, and the MMC slot will be Storage Card2. If you remove the Compact Flash card, the MMC card will remain Storage Card2, however, if you remove the MMC card (so that there are no storage cards in the device), and then re-inserted the MMC card, it will then be labeled Storage Card.

This is a good product if you plan to use your Jornada for an extended period of time or are away from a recharging source and need an extra battery and/or use of an MMC card.

Don't do it....
I don't like this case. IT GETS 0 STARS. The leather is cheap and the fit is horrible. My M105 slides around! My advice: you put at least $80.00 into your palm? Put in a little more and buy a case that's made by Palm or at least endorsed by Palm. JUST DON'T BUY THIS ONE!

An acceptable case¿
I just received this case, and while doing its job acceptably, a few quirks and missing features keep it from being a great case. I have a Palm m130, and the case doesn't quite seem to fit it exactly. The handheld tends to move up in the case, which obscures the menu bar/date & time display. It is also lacking a window for the time display window in the flip cover that comes with the unit. The picture shows the flip cover still on with the handheld in the case, but this doesn't work very well in reality. The cover and the case just aren't aligned well enough to make this work. (The flip cover has to slide in and out of the flap of the case, and instead the handheld just moves up and down, which throws the buttons and screen out of alignment.) For about half the price of the Palm version, this case works, but lacks the refinements and details of the higher priced options.

You get what you pay for.
This kit was a major disappointment. The case is pleasantly light, but it's hard to open and the top doesn't fold back, so it's hard to hold in one hand while you use the Palm. I also found it very stiff and hard to remove the Palm from the case. The whole construction felt cheap cheap cheap.

The stylii that are bundled with this are also cheap, very much lighter than the stylus that comes with the Palm. I didn't like the screen protectors, either. I tried one, and to be fair, I may not have applied it correctly. I felt it obscured the screen somewhat.

I didn't try the syncing cable.

If you think you might like this, I strongly suggest you find a retail store where you can try it before you buy it. Amazon.com adds shipping charges to returns and it'll end up costing me about $...-$...to return it.

Case is ok, stylii useable, screen protectors useless
I'm happy with the case. It looks sharp and seems strong enough to protect my m500. There was just enough extra room in the case to allow the Palm to rattle front-to-back. That was a little annoying so I stuck a little piece of foam to the inside corner of the front cover to prevent it. The cover does get in the way because it doesn't fold all the way back, but I just hold it differently and it's fine.
The stylii that come in this kit are just ...plastic ones, even though those depicted on the package look like the original metal one.
The screen protectors are useless. In addition to being difficult to apply, they aren't even big enough to cover the screen. I aligned the top and then the bottom came up about 5mm short. I have some WriteRight protectors from my old IIIe that I'm going to trim to fit the m500 screen instead.
I haven't tried the sync cable yet, but it seems well made. I didn't realize until I got it that it also charges your palm using the USB.

What you get with this is:
1. a decent case - not the best, but it gets the job done
2. some cheezy plastic stylii
3. some useless clear stickers
4. what appears to be and probably is a fine sync/recharge cable.

Don't waste your money
The case is not so good. It is open at the top and bottom. There is a velcro strip inside so if you put the other side of velcro (not supplied) on your PDA, it won't fall out.

The 4-1 stylus sucks. It is hard to get out what you want. It is hit or miss on twisting the clicker and pusing in. I usually get the black pen. It takes many tries to get the stylus point or the pencil.

The kit includes 10 protector sheets all for different PDA models. Some are pretty similar, so you might be able to get 6 for your PDA. But not likely.

There is nothing I like about this Kit.

A mixed bag
This kit comes with a multi function pen , a few screen protectors and a case.

Whats good
The case is good fit for my tungsten E.
Has a holder for the stylus that comes with the kit.

Whats not
The multifunction pen
The paint starts peeling off in a few days.
Also the pen rattles while writing.
Screen protectors are already cut to various PDA screen sizes. Hence I will not be able to use most of them.

Overall
The case is good

STAY AWAY!
I received this as a Christmas gift. I have replaced the batteries 4 times already, the last time was one week after new batteries were put in. That brings me to the big problem, everytime I have replaced the batteries I have had to reset the unit. The screen went blank, the print was half gone and now there's a big black spot at the bottom of the screen. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

BEWARE, BEWARE!
Just because it has 4MB doesn't make this a great buy (you'll use less than 1MB unless you do a lot of drawing). Royal's customer service is among the worst in the industry and there are no downloadable applications for this. Royal is still working out some bugs with the hardware and software (keep a current backup and check your battery levels regularly), but this works as a decent organizer.... If that's all you're after, then this might be the buy for you, but if you want more (games, additional applications, etc.), you'd be better off with a Casio (PV400) or one of the... Palm models (M100, M105). The keyboard is cute, but hardly functional. The synchronizing software is adequate, but buggy. But hey, this thing isn't all bad. After all, I do own one, and I still use it.

Incompatibility with Jornada 548
We have been trying to use the I/O card with a Jornada 548 with Fowler Gages' digital calipers and Taltech's CE-Wedge software. We were warned by Socket Communications that there was a potential problem with freezing up if the serial com port was not turned off before turning off the computer. Based on this, we purchased the card and were careful not to do this, but found that after 1-3 hours of work, the computer froze up to the point that we needed to remove the battery to get it to turn off. Based on this with 2 computers, we do not recommend the combination. Socket agrees that there is a problem with the driver, but has no plans to make any changes. Suggests using a Compaq IPAQ instead.

OK overall, but a bit expensive
Easy installation for my Casio E115, I used it to connect to a barcode scanner for stocktaking a warehouse. The speed is ok (I wonder if there're 4Mbps models anyway?), and the connectors seem to be stretchable and durable enough for the job.

    snap broke...good until then
I like the features of this case and it did well as a slimed-down wallet/pda combo. However, the neoprene material doesn't slide in and out of pockets very easily. Also, the male end of the snap broke off after 1 month, as it is attached to the neoprene which stretches...not very well designed..buy something else, imo...

    Not identical replacements
I just received my replacement styli, and they are not the same as the original. They are very light weight and all plastic. I was hoping they were the heavier kind with the hard tip. Kinda disappointed. :(

      Flimsy
I picked up a package of these figuring, hey, they're half the price (per stylus) of the Sony replacements. Ugh. They're horrid. They aren't strong enough to stay straight while writing with them. I'm ready to throw the lot out already. Avoid these. They're junk.
