A helpful hint to prospective buyers
OFF DA HOOK

Great for how I use them! The Koss speakers (measuring about 3.5" wide, 4.5" tall, and 3" deep) fit easily into my suitcase. They are light and durable with hard plastic faces (not foam). And their "passive" design means that there are no batteries or AC cords to worry about (their only power being the signal from my audio device's output jack).
The sound quality isn't great. (The bass notes sound much like a guy beating his hand on a cardboard box, and the highs sound like they are emanating from down a long hallway.) But the fidelity is vastly superior to what I get from my laptop's speakers.
I can now enjoy listening to my custom playlists while traveling -- without having to endure the piped-in music available on my hotel room's cable TV or the tinny bedside clock radio. I use the Koss speakers mainly while reading the paper in the morning, or while checking my e-mails at night.
(I tried using the Koss units around my home, but their sound was vastly inferior to the Labtec Spin 50 and 60 speakers that I also have -- which are larger, heavier, and require a separate AC cord plug-in.)
For the convenience of enjoying digital music while traveling -- without a headset -- the Koss portable speakers perform wonderfully. (And for the price -- you can't beat 'em!)

Awesome Radio - Great Range
Great Two-Way Radios!Took it out with a some frineds when we went caraving during the 4th of July weekend and they were great. We talked well over 5 miles vehicle to vehicle. You can purchase an optional Battery Charger (strongly reccommended) because it comes with the vehicle adapter so you never run out of batteries. Well here is my review.
1) Easy to use.
2) Loud speaker audio.
3) The extra power really gives the extra range.
4) Awesome BeltClip, the best one I've seen so far.
5) Its got a vibrate mode, and a silent mode.
6) Also has a weather radio built into it, which is great when you are camping or out on the road.
7) The three year warranty.
Overall they are a very good buy, we had two pairs with batteries and chargers and they worked great during our trip. I would reccommend to anyone.

I Like The Motorola T-6300 Very MuchI anticipate using the T-6300 for the same things as well as staying in touch with the shore while kayaking. One of the features which was also a selling point was the inclusion of the weather channel. I could have lived without the clock and stop watch functions (since I have them on my watch). I would like to have had the added features of the T6320, but when would I really need an altimeter and barometer? The compass would have been useful though. Regarding the 6310 with its FM radio, I really would not want to be using up my batteries if I were on an extended hiking trip. The perfect combination for me would be to include the compass and drop the stopwatch. However I think I will be pretty happy with my new units and even happier when the rebate checks come in.
Trying to figure out how to operate all of the features does seem a little formidable, initially, but it gets easier as you practice. It does have some great features such as the vibrating alert, changes in call tones, voice activation etc. I am a little nervous depending upon the built in swivel beltclip but for relatively passive activities like going to the mall it should be fine. I am having a hard time finding a holster for it probably because Motorola felt there was no need to supply one since it comes with the built in detachable clip. They do make a holster which also is an armband holder, but it is a little pricey.
Regarding the reception, I have not found them to be any stronger than my older units but I have not had the opportunity to test them very much yet.
All in all, I think it is an excellent unit. It looks nice, has a lot of features, is ergonomically designed, and has several accessories. I think my favorite will the the headset with microphone which can be used with the voice activation feature.
Overall it was the features, rebates and Motorola reputation that led me to buy this unit.
High value for great priceI am really looking forward to putting them through more rugged tests during hunting season. I expect the privacy codes will also come in handy for events like fairs, gun shows, motorcycle rallies and other places where you can expect a lot of other radio traffic. The form factor is great - I have large hands and find these much more comfortable than the 6200 or 289 models.
Easy to use and loaded with features. Great engineering!

nice little discman
Lots of bang for your buck - and it works wellSo I took a chance and bought this one, primarily because of several features my old one didn't have: a programmable AM/FM tuner, a wired remote control that connects in tandem with the headphones so that when you wear the discplayer at your waist you can use the remote easily without having to bring the player itself up to eye level, and because it includes a soft carrying case that has a l o o o o n g belt that fits around my, er, ample waist.
And I have to say, it works like a dream. The controls are easy to negotiate, the radio and the CD player work seamlessly and the headphones are adequate. About the headphones - they're the 'bud' type that fit into your ears and they're pretty comfortable. I will probably switch to over-the-ear headphones for noise-reduction (I tend to walk where there's a fair amount of traffic noise) but it probably really isn't necessary. One more thing, the 48-second delay anti-skip mechanism makes it possible to jog vigorously without annoying drop-outs when you're listening to a CD.
A nice little disc player, in my estimation.

- Forward/reverse fast time settings

Nice and simple. The style is nice and the keys aren't too small. The snooze button is extra big. The sound isn't great, like most alarm clocks. Also, there is no cover for the backup battery. At first I was suprised but it's on the bottom so who cares anyway. If you want a simple functioning alarm clock that's easy to set at an affordable price, I recommend this one.

Everybody who rides in my car is impressed with this system
The Best CD/MP3 Radio unit for the car.My experience after 6 months:
This is an excellent product. A very good sound quality. The power going out to the speakers is more than enough for me. In addition there are alot of features in this unit. But the most impressing thing is that for the basic operations you need to use only two dials. You can locate them easily without looking down.
Warning:
I used DirectCD by EasyCD (ROXIO) to burn my MP3 CDs. These didn't work well even though they worked well on the work computer.
The solution I used is a conventional burning.
The exact symptom was that each song was devide to mutiple tracks and the CD "jumped" between these tracks.
The solution as stated above: Use a conventional burning software. After that, everything works flowlessly including the incredible feature that it restarts from the same spot when you turn off the player.
I love:
The sound,
The fact I can play MP3s flowlessly.
The two dials concept,
The fancy display,
The fact that the face fold doen when you have to put a CD in.
The design and look of the unit.
I hate:
The fact that the song name is displayed only at the beginning of the playing. But this is not that big deal. Also by by pressing a button you can view it anytime.
I consider myself fairly knowledgeable with car electronics - I have been doing driveway installs on my own cars for 20 years with great success.
I have owned the unit for about a month now and can honestly say that I would purchase it again. Overall, It is built solidly and has great a great sound. As the specs suggest, the tuner is great and pulls in stations that my stock unit could not.
As with any product, there are some things that I would consider shortcomings. First of all, the display has way too much emphasis on form over function. The right third of the display is taken up by a round shape that serves as a clock (or a CD timer) that is hard to interpret. Fine adjustment of the tone controls is cumbersome- It requires several pushes of multiple buttons to get to the bass, treble, and midrange controls - definitely takes your eyes off the road!
Also, it took several attempts to burn MP3 disks that worked perfectly in the car. I had to slow down the burn process to 4X and use the Memorex black CDs. After two weeks of listening to MP3 CDs burned this way, I have not had a skip or glitch yet.
