Good Alarm Clock, Bad Audio
The radio/alarm works well as an alarm clock. The beeper mode wakes you up well, and I especially appreciate the remote for snooze in the morning. However, the radio sounds like a 60's era transistor radio. You can't hook up an antenna to improve FM reception.

good deal
This is a good alarm clock. Of course the best option in myopinion is the remote control. The stereo isn't much. But you getwhat you pay for.

Bad design
I bought this clock a while ago and am actually buying a new one now because of how annoying this one is.

The thing that annoys me most is that it takes forever to set alarms. My old alarm clock that I no longer have let me press hour/minute simultaneously to set the time to 12AM. This was really useful for reseting my alarm time. This clock however, forces you to hold the fast button and it takes 1 second per hour to advance, so you're there holding it for 23 seconds if you want to set your alarm clock back one hour, versus my old clock, where I could just hit both buttons, and then click the hour button 7 times for 7'oclock.

Yes, it has 2 alarms, but I actually have to change them quite often and end up getting annoyed every time. Also, the metal strip on top is super sensative, so if you reach over to click one of the buttons on top, you often inadvertently hit the metal strip, which nullifies whatever button was pressed, forcing you to learn how to arch your hand in a way as to hit the button without brushing the strip. One other thing, is that the plastic door for the battery compartment falls out incredbily easily. It literarly just falls off when you move the clock.

Anyhow, I would really not recommend this clock, it wasn't even worth the $10 or whatever I paid for it.

Overall Good, Snooze Sensor Annoying
For a cheap dual alarm clock, this is perfect. My only complaint is that the Snooze Sensor is hard to get to work when you are just waking up. But, it is quite good for the money.

    Dont bother
I got this, thinking it would be a handy thing to have for my sister, who lives in a hurricane prone area. It never, ever worked. You get what you pay for, and this was junk.

A Great Gift For The Entire Family
This is one rugged flashlight made by the well reputed GPX company. It is water-resistent, has a powerful beam, an am/fm radio to keep you in touch with the outside world (important during power outages), and cleverly, the handy carrying strap is also the antenna!

We use ours ( 3 of them ) for stormy weather, camping, lake adventures and the youngest teen still loves to read by flash-light under his comforter. A great gift of fun and practicality for everyone in your family---all at a great price.

      Coleman FRS Walkie Talkies
Lots of cheapo FRS units are out there on the market but these Coleman units are some of the best.
They have great audio quality crisp and loud and lots of audio power.
They are small and fit in a shirt pocket but have a quality feel.
They have excellent range, I've obtained over 20 miles mountian top to mountain top with these.
They are tough, I'm not sure of the material the cases are made of but its virtually indestrucable.
Thay have a scan feature to let you know which channel someone was talking on.
In, short these are great FRS units, I'd buy more of these.

      portable tv
This portable color tv doesn't give me any channel that you can actually watch. I returned it and I was credited. However, much to my surprise I received the same five inch tv as I had returned. It already cost me to have it returned. Since I didn't ask for it, should I consider it a gift?

      Pleasantly Surprised!
When my 15+ yr.old 5" Sony Under-counter bracket mounted color tv (with AM/FM radio)"expired" suddenly,I searched for a replacement; it took days to find this Jensen. None of the others had the features I wanted combined into one unit. I needed a simple wall plug-in (this one also is cable ready & VCR ready AND comes with a car adapter for traveling, AND a headphone outlet). Since I live in NY City, direct local channel reception on a basic tv (7 prime + 6 UHF)is not a problem. If I lived in a rural or remote area, I'm sure receiving a signal would be impossible. This is a true space-saver device. The price is much less than was expected. $138.99(+$8.99 delivery charge)We paid almost $400. for the original Sony. The picture is perfect, as is the color, sound & radio tuner. The swiveling feature is a plus - all angle viewing! It was delivered a week earlier than promised from Amazon's Marketplace Affiliate Merchant. Thanks to Amazon, time spent in the kitchen doesn't seem like a "chore" anymore!

      Flawed product
I purchased this CD player as a replacement for my old Panasonic that I had for years. I wasn't too concerned about the radio because I just wanted a good, reliable CD player. Needless to say the radio is nothing great, especially if you live in a city or close to a local FM station. It picks up nothing but interference from the local FM stations and can't pull in the distant ones. In a weak area it would probably get better reception. When I tried the CD player, I was impressed- the sound and Hyper bass boost were teriffic. The anti shock seemed to work well and the max volume was pretty loud. However, the problems started almost a week later. One night after about 20 minutes of use the CD player just shut itself off in the middle of the song. I turned it back on and it played fine, but a few days later the same problem occurred. Needless to say the batteries were brand new. Thinking I had a lemon, I exchanged it for another and had the exact same problem with the second one. After 2 bad units in a row I took the second one back and got a refund. A few weeks later I was in another store and saw a similar version of this model (XL-PR10, which had rechargeable batteries) and decided to give it a try. When I pushed play it read the CD, played for 2 seconds, and shut off (again I was using new batteries). Turned it on again, same thing happened. Obviously this one went back also. Apparently this is a faulty JVC product. Maybe there are a few good ones out there, but after 3 strikes I wouldn't recommend this CD player to anyone. It seemed great at first, but do yourself a favor and avoid it as it is not worth the hassle of returning it multiple times.

      Another Successful JVC Player
I am a big fan of JVC products, and this one is no exception. I have known JVC to be Rock Solid on performance and durability, and this one truly delivers. JVC combines a CD Player with an AM/FM Tuner for maximum music playing. Durabilitywise, you can drop this thing all day long, and it'll still play without missing a beat (As long as the Anti-Shock is active). I like the slick fence-like design, and the display on the player is large enough where you can see what you are listening to and also displays the Anti-Shock on the right side of the screen. Another feature is Progamming of the AM/FM tuner, something I look for most in these types of players. The instructions to programming the tuner is really simple.

I fully endorse the JVC XL-PR1 Portable CD Player. Another great item by JVC.

Motorola TalkAbout NiMH Rechargeable Battery Kit for 280 & T289 Series
      Made by Motorola

This can be done a lot cheaper
Instead of purchasing the conversion kit and a spare battery(total of $80) you would be better off sticking with the AA versionand of the radio, and blowing $30 to $40 on a NiMh charger and eight batteries. This combination gives you over 30 hrs of operation on three AA size NiMh batteries vs. only 11 hrs with the Motorola kit. This way you will also have rechargable AA batteries available for flashlights, cameras, games, toys, etc...

      Best battery
You can't beat the Motorola battery. Here's why: It's a 4.5v battery, whereas AA size NiMH batteries are 1.2v, providing only 3.6v total. Using NiMH AA batteries will only give you 1 or 2 bars of battery strength and run out after just a few calls. Alkaline AA are great, but you'll throw them away every 6-8 hours. The Motorola NiMH delivers the full 4.5v necessary and lasts a whole day. Definitely worth the price.

Another lackluster and overpriced item from Sony
Cheap construction overall. The tuner dial doesnt line up with the stations. The AM/FM/TV switch doesnt line up correctly. The cassette door doesnt close completely. The sound is decent, but if you're in the market for a inexpensive portable radio, I'd look somewhere else.

      Nice Little Radio
I read the previous post from the customer in New Jersey. I am unsure if the item was defective, but I can tell you, I am quite happy with my little portable radio. It serves its purpose and I dont have unrealistic expectations of it as if the item were a boom box type.

      a disappointment from sony
i bought the Sony ICF-C212 AM/FM Clock Radio a couple of months ago The alarm and the radip work fine. The radio has great clarity. But the clock is a huge disappointment. It loses 10 to 15 minutes every day. Every nite i set the clock and in the mornign i check it has slowed down again by easy 15 minutes. Surprisingly the manual also says that the clock could lose a couple of minutes. But losing 10 to 15 minutes a day can set u slow by more than an hour in a weeks time. What is the use of a clock like that !!

      Great For The Price!
I got as much or more than I was expecting with this Sony clock radio. Yes, the controls are a bit cramped. Yes, the sliding "on-off-alarm" switch is a bit difficult to navigate in the dark. But it's a good looking little thing, and it had the battery back-up I was looking for, creating less chance of being late for work in the event of a power failure.

So how did I get "more" than I was expecting? This thing sounds much better than the 20 year old GE clock radio it's replacing, and it comes with an FM antenna (a small wire dangling off the back). FM and AM reception were both better than with my trusty GE, who's only drawback was that the battery only saved the time during a power failure, but wouldn't set off the alarm. A great Amazon.com price on a great little Sony clock radio!
