The radio has adequate reception. Coby is not a compnay I would ever do business with again however. I had a problem with a part and the so called customer service never responded to my complaints. You can get a better radio built by a better compnay for the money.

Someone had this and gave it to me because he didn't want it anymore. Radio reception in an office building is poor and the sound quality mediocre. It is a conversation piece, however.

I recently purchased this model because I live in the south where the weather can change quickly.

This radio has seven channels, but in the rural area where I live I am only able to pick up one and it is accompanied by some minor static.

The radio has a modern look, but the plastic housing is not the highest quality. In fact, the plastic battery door on the bottom does not fit tightly to the unit and I believe it may be a problem over time.

The radio comes with it's own transformer, so you won't have to purchase that item seperately. There is also a telescoping antenna attached to this radio, but it is very delicate and should be handled carefully.

There is an alarm and a flashing warning light that you can set to go off in the event of an emergency. There is also a test mode, and if your unit is working properly it will get your attention in a hurry.

In the final assessment; this radio inexpensive and you are going to get what you are paying for.

I want to buy one of these, but even though the desription say it's in 4 colors there is no option to select the colors. I want the purple one!

The reception is fuzzy, the player is functional but does not play very loud-- I cannot hear it (much less wake from music alone) from the opposite side of a queen sized bed! I'd say save your money, buy better quality... this one is just average and should not serve as a primary alarm clock.

This boombox was nice and portable, and has a pretty good sound system, but it wasn't digital, so that was a problem, since we are entering the high-tech age, but I would recomend it.

3-stars: Shortwave Listening (SWL & AM-DX) should have MEMORY!

I currently have many CD's and figured this would be a good product to organize them with. However, there is really never an explanation for what GMP is. For that matter, there is neither one for AVB. I understand what cow is. Like, I have a cow of CD's, you know? However, this product did become very handy. It came in handiness, and certainly I have more space in my apartment, because really, this thing takes up minimal space, you know? Overall, good price, a little confusion, concussion for me after I hit myself trying to figure out these letter representations, but definitely worth the time to look at. I'll recommend them to my mother.

These 2-way radios are ok if you plan on using them for maybe keeping in touch with each other camping, but not for much more then that! The actual range is only about 1 mile in the country where there isn't much for interference and the batteries last more like a total of 24 hours instead of 32 hours like advertised!...

I bought this for my kitchen. I was mainly interested in the casette player for books-on-tape and in getting one far away, not-easy-to-receive FM station. To my pleasure it got the station, and the sound is better than I had expected from the price. The one thing I don't like is that I have to hang on to the radio when I push the buttons for the cassette player, or it moves all over the place. However, I'm not sorry I bought it.
