    tinny, continued
And the other guy must have reviewed the wrong item. These earbuds have no volume control.

    sounds tinny
At first I thought I was using them wrong. I'm using them to listen to MP3s on my computer and they sound really tinny compared with the really cheap ones I was using before. Putting on the foam cover helped a little, but not much. They can be really loud. I have to turn my computer volume down to about 10% to avoid blowing out my eardrums.

    Very Nice
I bought tham in Moscow, in August 2001... I still use them. Thay a great! The sound is so clear!!! But the design is low :( it looks like it was make 4 years ago (i think it is true) If you want to have a low design but GREAT sound, take this one... And it is got also volume remote control, it is COOL! Trust me!

    Extremely disappointed
I lived in Europe in 2003 and purchased a pair of Sennheiser wireless headphones there that I really liked--they were a little more expensive than this pair, but worked great. Unfortunately, they worked on 220V, and I didn't really have room anyhow, so sold them when I moved back to the US in 2004. I bought these as a replacement, but they were NO replacement!

    Here's the problems I encountered:

    (a) No RCA->mini plug adapter is included, as another reviewer states. Funnily enough, the box DOES say it is included! Who has RCA jacks for headphones? If anything the default should be a mini-plug, with an included adapter to RCAs. (Scratching head...)

    (b) Interference. Always present. Even from 10 feet away. Moving around helps, but you end up having to hold your head in the "perfect" position.... not feasible. My old pair worked great, didn't have this stupid manual tuning knob these do, and had almost no interference (until I got a significant distance away).

    (c) Standard NiMH batteries are included, BUT with a caveat. This is a good thing in general, because my old set came with 2 batteries, but they were 'custom' and probably not ideal in that regard (but you could charge 1 set while listening; you can't do that with these!). The caveat is, they included the absolute cheapest nimh battieries they could find, GP 600mAHs. If you DO buy this, make sure to replace those with some 1500mAH+ ones (that should only cost a few bucks).

    (d) The on-hook charging is picky. If you adjust the headphones to make them larger (pulling down the ear parts), sometimes it won't charge when it goes back on the hook. How silly is that?? It shouldn't be finicky. The older ones I had also had problems with engaging the charge mechanism when put on-hook, and it was an ENTIRELY different design. So, this is the SECOND design Sennheiser has screwed up. (If you don't adjust the size, it works fine though. So you'd better have a small head.)

    (e) Probably the worst thing: Auto-shutoff. Hey! A great feature right? The base station shuts itself off if it doesn't sense audio for a while... for example, if you pause a DVD or TV, to go to the bathroom, or whatever. When you come back, you'll notice the base station has autoshutoff, but the headphones haven't, so they will be squealing SUPER LOUDLY since there is no signal coming from the transmitter. Brilliant! I bet if you fall asleep during a DVD without music on the menu, it would return to the menu, transmitter shuts off, and I wouldn't be surprised if you could get hearing damage from this "feature".

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. I won't be buying another Sennheiser product (I owned the previous wireless pair, I own a noise-canceling pair that I'm pretty happy with, and I have a 80s-era wired pair in storage somewhere). None of them have been perfectly designed, but the others at least had good sound quality to make up for it. This product failed on every account, and convinced me that their designs just aren't worth "putting up with" for the sound quality. I'll seek out another manufacturer.

OK headphones, but not what I was looking for...
This was my first set of wireless headphones. I've been looking for a while for a set to use at the computer because I dislike the wires running all over from my current headphones. I would say that these headphones are OK, but not great.

    Pros:
    > I'm no audiophile, but the sound was pretty good to me. Better than my cheapo corded headphones.
    > The "hook" charging system is nice, don't have to muck with some tiny connector to make sure it's charging, just drop them on the hook.

    Cons:
    > My main gripe is that when there is no music playing you can hear a constant low hiss. I tried all three frequencies to no avail. Maybe this was due to interference in my home? Don't know for sure.

    >The headphones come with stereo "RCA"-type output jacks, not a headphone jack. This would probably be nice if you're using it for a home stereo but my computer only has headphone jacks so I had to buy some adapters.

    > I found the headphones to be somewhat uncomfortable. I have a somewhat large head (hat size ~7 5/8) but after about 1/2 hour or so these weren't very comfy.

Overall these are decent headphones, just not what I'm looking for.

    Great Sound, Great Price
I've only had this headset for about a week, but I've been able to listen to it quite a bit, and so far, I like what I hear. It took only five minutes to set up, and when I first turned it on, I was amazed how clear the sound was, especially for wireless. I was able to hear quieter parts of my favorite songs, which on my computer speakers I was never able to hear. The only bad part about this headset is that you can't go too far from the receiver without hearing loud clicks and static. I went outside no more than 150 feet from the receiver and I could barely even hear the music over the static. Overall, I'd say buy this headset if you are planning on staying within 50 feet or so of the music source the majority of the time you would use the headset. When you are close to the receiver, the sound quality is great, especially when you look at how cheap this headset is compared to other similar headsets.

      Not the best solution
Well, I was looking for a .... solution until I got my Logitech Z-540's (good speakers BTW), so I picked up these. Only 8 bucks, can't beat that price. It also claimed it has an added bass boost which gave it the edge. I figured "what the heck, they're only headphones" So I hooked them up. At the time, I was not very good with sound and had little expirience compared to now. They were OK, but I decided to review this again with a real analysis based on real speakers:

The headphones sound mediocre overall and don't produce a very clear sound or tone overall, but they get the job done. The "bass boost" is completely bogus. Even equalized, I noticed almost no bass coming through, and with a full-range sound test, I noticed that almost all of the bass range is gone and it really leaves the audio very weak and empty. Overall, the sound quality is poor, fizzly, and weak.

If you're looking for a good pair of headphones for a good price, these are not the ones you're looking for. I have heard from numerious sources that the Koss KSC-50's are a good pair and I intend to pick those up if I ever get an MP3 player for example.

      Bottom line: Don't buy them.

It's OK, but don't get it.
...I bought these headphones ...figuring they seemed to be a good deal and claimed they had s uperior bass boost. Well, I hooked them up and they are what you pay for. Normal average quality. The bass was not at all what I expected. The bass is, in fact, very weak. Also, I found that after wearing these for about an hour my ears started to hurt. If you're looking for a quick solution with deecent sound like I was, these are good for you. Otherwise, don't get them....

      Don't buy these headphones
It's difficult to tell from the photograph, but the actual speaker on these headphones is quite bulky, and would not fit into my ear, leaving the headphone jutting out at unlistenable and uncomfortable angle.

The rings in varying sizes included for adjustability cannot fix the fit problem, and, at least for me, added another one; they are flimsy and snap in so tight that when I attempted to change a ring, it broke off, leaving a tab stuck in the slot so that no other rings could be inserted.

From the little testing I managed, the sound quality was also not impressive. In short, do NOT buy these headphones; while not ill-conceived, they are poorly designed and flimsily made.

      Aesthetically Pleasing Headphones
These headphones have only one thing better than the rest of them. They're cool looking. If you are more concerned about the looks of a pair of headphones then about the quality of sound, you should get these. Also, Aiwa is a brand you can trust. Every item I have bought from them has lasted. Basically, all I'm saying is that these headphones will impress your friends. They look good. Get them.

      Obsolete product
I ordered this product when my previous surge arrest pro broke. But when I received it I discovered that it is an old product of this company. I am sorry to see Amazon.com selling obsolete products, rather than the very latest. The latest model APC PRO8T2 has been out for nearly a year, priced at the same amount, and I don't think you even offered it.

      Solid Performer, Clean look
This is a high quality product that has excellent features, fits well in a professional office. APC's newer models look a little to bizarre for my taste.

        Uncomfortable and poor sound quality
I was given this to take a Spanish Course. There is not much flexibility in the headset, so I found it cramped my large head and tended to give me a headache. It is designed to be only used on the left ear which I found a drawback since my hearing in the right is better. Even when I listed through my right ear I found the sound quality lacking. Am looking for a more comfortable better quality unit.

For Excellent Sound Quality and Comfort!
This Product is one of the best buys with really good sound Quality and also being very comfortable when put on. One cannot possibly lookout for anything other than this when it comes to products of this kind. What it gives is a clear sound quality with excellent microphone sensitivity with both of these features being clear i.e. noise free, to both the listeners. To add to that it is light in weight and comfortable enough to keep them on for a long time.
Being very easy to use just plug in the jacks and its ready for use. Put them on and enjoy the joys of clear sounds and comfort!

        Poor quality
Headphones broke two weeks after I bought them. Can only hear out of one side of them, only plus side to them is that the microphone hasn't broken yet.

Great headphones except for a design flaw.
The headset is nice except for the fact that they broke after 2-3 weeks of use. I can only hear out of the left side and the microphone no longer works. I guess I get to find out how good sennheiser is for support.. the main construction is quite good (hard to break them) except for the tiny little cable that comes in on the left side. I suspect that my headset failure is related to the small cable. Other than the weak/tiny cable this is a really good headset.
The microphone and audio quality is quite good. It is more comfortable than other behind the head headphones I have worn. I had many great gaming sessions with this headset. People heard me clearly and I could hear everything clearly not to mention they remained comfortable for many hours of play.
Hopefully my next pair will last longer.

        looking for quality
Not worth the money. Sound is ok you cannot dup 6.1 surround sound w/headphones. Save your money and get a good set of head phones and save $500.00. You will still experience sound travling rt to lft or lft to rt.

        What you would expect
They are exactly what you would expect for surround sound headphones. The surround sounds do sound like they are coming from behind you, the sound is not ear-blowing, mind-numbingly "surroundific" but it is better than, lets say, the surround effect you would experience using a good pair of headphones on a surround reciever on headphones surround mode.

ditto on the not very comfortable
I bought these headphones to use while at the gym based upon their claim of being snug and comfortable. The clips hurt my ears while the plug always spins out of my ear forcing constant adjustment. I guess this is what they mean by 'fully adjustable'. I'm not much of an audiophile so I'd be a bad judge of the sound, but it sounds fine to me. But in the areas where the headphones hype themself, they fall very short.

        not very comfortable
i bought these headphones thinking they would be more comfortable because of what other people told me. But since i have cartilidge piercings they were not comfortable at all!

        pretty good
i have never been able to use in-ear headphones, but these actually work pretty nicely. the plastic is flexible and soft and (once you figure out how to adjust them) they can be quite comfortable without the smother-factor of other headphones. no gross sweaty ears while i run. they are a little hard to put on, but once you get them on they stay pretty well. the sound is pretty good as well, especially for in-ears, which tend to have VERY crappy sound.

        Burn your money instead.
Don't waste your money on Infrared Headphones, buy Wireless 900 MHz technology. THese are extreemley annoying, you have to be in line of site in order for these to work. The Headphones, and the little recieve need to be able to see each other, you can't leave the room. or in my case sit in front of your computer monitor because it blocks the reciever. Buy Wireless 900 MHz like your telephone, I did and can now roam around the entire house, and even go outside.

        the worst headphones ever!!!
I hated these things! They had aweful reception every time i used them. Even when I was right next to my music player, I could barely hear the music playing. WHY DID I BUY THESE THINGS@ WHY! WHHHHYYYYY!!!

        Worked Fine for Me
Dunno about the review above but when I used it with my Sony Wega TV (My infrared recieve is integrated into the TV) it works perfectly. The sound is very clear, almost as clear as wired headphones. Good deal if you want the Sony brand name.
