Great Headphones
I bought these headphones a month ago and have used them every day! Clear rich sound and a easy to adjust volume control. All great features, a great name brand, for less than twenty bucks!

Awesome sound. Great bass, very smooth sound.
compared to the crap headphones that came with my computer these things are better than peanut butter and jelly!. Very clear sound, crisp, deep base. My CDs have new life!

These headphones are great!
I'm really pleased with my purchase of these headphones. First of all, I like being able to adjust the volume on the headphone cord. It gives you the ability to eek out a tad more volume from your radio or cd player. They sound great too. It's very rich sounding. Much better than my older pairs from other vendors. I also like being able to fold them. That's a super feature when you tote them with you. And the price is definitely reasonable. A bargain for the value! I recommend them! I'm going to buy more!

It's a Y Cable. Shrug.
Really, what's to scrutinize? A Y cable is a Y cable. I use mine to connect both speakers and headphones to my computer. It works perfectly.

Two Is Cool
This procduct is great for when you want to share the same

music on your cd player or walkman. I have no complaints

i suggest anyone to buy it, it's worth the money..........

I love this thing.
I recently bought a new computer and to my dismay the new speakers and subwoofer did not come with a headphone jack. As a result I found myself having to crawl under my desk in order to switch to my headphones. When I came across Koss Y-88 Y Cord splitter I thought... I would give them a try. I am glad to say that they work great. They connect directly to my sound card and the speakers and sub are connected to one of the connector and the headphones to the other. When I want to listen to music or a DVD and not disturb anyone else I just turn off the speakers and put on the headphones. No more crawling to switch them over. It also works great with a stereo or directly connected to your DVD player.

good idea but has some design issues
These headphones sound great and the VMSS is pretty cool but its design could be better. First of all, the VMSS control and battery pack is poorly placed. Even though it has a clip to allow you to clip to your clothing I found that the cord between the headphone and battery pack is kinda too short to allow you to clip to a good spot so most of the time I just leave it hanging, which results in another problem. With the battery inserted, the battery pack is kinda heavy so dangling the control gets very annoying because if you move around the battery pack tend to swing back and forth etc. and can get banged around. I wished they had built in the battery pack into the headphone itself or have it located next to the plug. I've already managed to put a crack in the battery cover because it came off one time, due to me moving around and the battery pack banged against something, and I stepped on it because I didn't notice it came off. Also, the cord is very long, which can be good but if you make a product with a cord that long you should built in some sort of cord management feature. I almost broke the headphones because there was a pile of cord next to my chair and somehow it got tangled with the chair and when I moved my head I almost broke off the cord where it enters the headphone.

So, in conclusion, it sounds pretty good and if you can tolerate its design inadequacies then its a good buy but for me if I had to do it again I probably would have bought something else.

Best Gaming Headphones on the market!
These headphones are great. You will not be disappointed. They sound great with music, but play games and turn on the VMSS and it will take your games to a whole new level. Much recommended.

Supreme Sound
I purchased this headphone set with the specific intent of using them for 3D sound gaming. The VMSS system excels at creating a directional sound in games, you can hear from almost any direction, it's only limitations are from your sound card. I have a Game Blaster Live sound card and I hook the headphones into the jack on my Yamaha speakers & still get the full 3D sound that I would get from a 5.1 speaker system. Then I wanted to transfer my cassette tapes to CD-R's and was highly impressed by the full range of sound from these headphones, it's best to turn off the VMSS system with the handy slider control when listening to music only. If I had an unlimited amount of money to spend on a set of headphones, I would still buy this product.

Great Product, Almost Perfect
First off, I have owned a lot of noise canceling headsets, and this one takes the cake. By far the best one I have ever used. You can literally whisper and be heard with perfect clarity on the other side. As was mentioned in an another post, the rubberized portion that fits behind your ear could use a little work, it does get worn and the rubber cracks on mine. Overall the fit is decent, but is sometimes hard to get just right as theboom is very pliable and hence subject to rearrangement every time you take it off.

I only have one major problem with theBoom and that is the lack of an inline button. Many (most) headsets have a button inline with the cord that can be used for different features with your phone. Often this button is used to mute, but on many Samsung devices, this button is used to activate the voice dial. Theboom does not have an inline button and hence makes it a bit of a pain to communicate with devices use this feature.

Overall a great product, but for the pricetag, I wish they would address this concern.

a MUST for a truly mobile professional
I have tried many headsets before theboom and had never got used to any one of them, as none of them were worth using or even worth buying.
With theboom it has been a different story. The best part is that I am now truly mobile!; with my handheld and theboom I can take and make calls from anywhere and no one realizes I am not in my office.

I take and make lot of my calls during my train commute. I can whisper on the boom and still be heard on the other side without any background noise that would give away my location. Due to the fact that I am whispering, my neighbours can't hear me at all, so I am worried about being overheard.

Overall it has changed the way I use my cell phone. So if you do business on your cell phone, you should buy it.

Best Headset Ever - "you have to try it to believe"
I was a little skeptical at first when I saw this headset on TechTV, but decided to buy it since I really needed a quality headset. I use the headset with a cell phone and at work on a regular phone. Every time I use it, I am reminded that this headset is worth every penny and more. Noise cancellation is excellent and the other parties are oblivious to you being in a crowded room or outside in traffic.
The latest model comes with an ear piece that directs sound into your ear canal in noisy environments and has a comfortable over-the-ear holder that keeps the headset in place.
I have recommended this to friends and co-workers time and time again. Once you try this, you'll never go back to anything else.

When you can't get anything else
The headphones are of decent quality and should really only be used when you haven't the ability to find anything more suitable. These are sufficient if you break a pair of better headphones and need something to temporarily replace them, But I don't recommend taking these with your Discman to school as it easily could not stand up to rigors I put it through at one day of school. But, If you need a pair of headphones so you can just listen to music in the most primative sense possible, pick these up. They are not great, but you get what you can :)

Cheap, and good. Worth the cash.
I just bought this pair of earphones to use with my Creative Nomad II player. It gives very clear sound, compared to my old Sony earphones...Though the bass can't compare to my headphones. :)

Value for money...

:)

Clearest for the price
I've been testing several headphones for a business project. My department is distributing a CD Rom training program to over 500people, and it has an audio component. Therefore we need veryinexpensive headphones to purchase for each user, and I bought a fewof these to try them out. The brand is well known, they areinconspicuous to wear and they are cheap. They also are the clearestout of any headphones I tried out. I must have them! Too bad theyare back ordered. I can't find any other brand that's comparable forthat price...

Good Sound, Failed Later
I was on my second pair of these when I became greatly disapointed. I absoluty love Sony but I have to give these 3 stars. GREAT sound, but after 2 weeks, the left ear bud lost all bass and became extremly tin sounding. Basicly if you get one speck of dust in the these things your done. I would suggest a pair of behind the ear headphones, sony of corse, Dont get my wrong sony is the best electronics out there next to bose, but these are just too delicate for headphones

Great for the price.
I forgot my headphones at home one day, and needed a cheap pair to keep at work for such... emergencies. Surprisingly good bass response, the ability to pick some highs out - a little muddy in the midrange - but... for $12 (not online) - these are quite a deal. They're at least as good as iPod stock headphones. The cord is a little short, and they do feel a little cheap, but hey - they are cheap! They just don't sound like it - which is all that counts, in my opinion.

Great Headphones, here's why...
To start off the price of these is a GREAT deal to compare with the sound that you're going to get. The first thing you will notice is the sleek style of the silver and black which is a plus. (oh, ear size makes no difference, they fit fine in both) Now, once you put them on the first you notice is extremely clear cut sounds, a POWERFUL bass and great volume. I actually use it with my CD player and keep it on lvl 2/10 because of the great sound quality. Now the case, the only thing the picture may mislead you about is that both the earphones and the jack are placed inside the case, the picture of course is for advertisment, but just to make it clear. The case is pocket size and has a place where to place your finger to wind it up. You will be extremely happy with these and should be them once the new stock arrives online. Want it faster? Go to the store. You will love the compact and great quality for such a low price. ( I'm listening to them while typing this)

Convenient, but...
It's definately a nice item to have... at first. I got mine so that I could use it with my computer, and be able to change the sound level without going through menus and unplug the headphones easily without having to crawl behing the computer, so that I could use them with my stereo. It worked great for about 3 months, however, it's wearing out - the headphone port has broken loose in the casing, and I have to fidget with it for a minute to get the plug all the way in (otherwise, sound only comes out one side). Due to the way it's constructed, the dial for the volume will keep it from getting any worse, so I'll still be able to use it, but it sure is annoying when I'm trying to move between things.

Nice, very useful
I use this on my computer. Yeah, there's software volume controls - but they require dropping out of whatever you're doing to set, and differ from program to program. It's far more convenient to be able to reach over and make a little adjustment without effecting what you're working on. Also, the sound quality isn't effected - I used to plug my headphones into a set of speakers to do the same thing, but it resulted in static and noise that degraded the music; this volume control retains the clarity of the music.

Very functional
This is a surprisingly useful gadget, as it serves as an extension cord and volume control. The extension cord aspect adds about 3 feet to your headphone, which gives me a lot more room to move when I am listening to music on my computer. The volume control is handy when using a portable player because you can change the volume without jostling the player.

great sound, great price, good comfort.
I recently purchased a new pair of these for around 50 dollars. Immediately I was pleased with the sound and comfort of these headphones, however, you may have to spend a little time fitting them on your head at first to keep them from hurting your ears. Although they are not terribly uncomfortable to wear for a few minutes, the size of the cups are a bit smaller than most professional headphones, and this makes them a bit uncomfortable for long-term listening as there is pressure on your ears.

Despite the uncomfortable pressure that may occur on the ears, these headphones are actually very comfortable to wear. They sound so good that I want to turn up the volume just to enjoy them more. The sound is clear, the bass is strong and clean but won't drown out the mid-tones or treble. The treble itself is sometimes lacking, but most of the time it isn't a problem. The individual sounds are heard so well with these headphones that if there is any extra noise or flaw in what you are listening to, you'll notice it immediately.

nice
I have an older version of this headphone, and use it everyday for hours. It sounds very good, and for the price is very hard to beat for this type of headphone. My only complaint is that my ears hurt if i wear them for more than a few hours.

Best Headphones I've Ever Seen / (Heard)!!
These Audio Technica babies really let the sound in! Outstanding in every respect, IMO!

Listening to movies and CDs through these 'phones is a pleasure. Surround sound effects come through nicely when listening to 5.1-Channel or 2-Channel Surround material, with many subtle surround effects seeping through that you possibly had never heard when listening through your regular speaker system.

The sound reproduction on this product seems very "natural" and undistorted. And not "tinny"-sounding, like can be the case with many different headphone brands.

Extraordinarily comfy, to boot! The ear cups don't pinch, or dig into your head. The padded headband adjusts to fit the biggest (or smallest) of craniums. And they don't make your ears sweat like a nervous politician on Election Day (oh, sorry ... I should have said "perspire"). :)

You can wear these things all day and suffer no ill effects on your head/ears. (Well, unless, of course, you lay too heavy on the volume control.)

It *is*, in fact, difficult to keep the volume in the "low"/"restrained" range while using these sonically-pleasing babies. Because they sound so good!

The ATH-M30 is an exceptional product; and a terrific bargain to be sure.

Hard to imagine even $100-plus 'phones giving better performance than these.

Great Isolation; Above Average (But Not Great) Sound
Out of the box, these headphones are heavy and hot, yet comfortable enough for an entire CD. Forget the unusually strong bass response (which can be corrected by reducing your receiver's/player's bass output) these heaphones should actually be considered for their superb isolation properties. Casual use suggests that these headphones isolate external sounds and noise almost as well as popular "in-the-ear" plug-type products.

Sound-wise, the bass response is excessive and muddies midrange vocals, while extreme highs are somewhat recessed. For a more balanced sound, consider cranking back your bass and advancing your treble. Detail, spatial presentation and soundstaging are simply average.

The bottom line: don't buy these headphones if you seek the "best sound". Look at competitive offerings from Senneheiser for that. These cans are most useful for situations where you want the utmost privacy and are willing to sacrifice long-term listening comfort for that privacy.

Recommended for airplanes, TV-oriented living rooms and when your in-laws are visiting.

Not exactly what I was expecting
WOW! WOW! WOW! I had written a review about 10 minutes ago. I knocked the bass response in these. It was due in part to the fact that I had them hooked directly to my computer. Firstly, DONT DO THAT! Run them through an amplifier (and that goes for you CD/MP3 player users as well). Second, to get the best (and in my opinion, the CLEANEST) bass response, you actually have to hold them tight against your ears. When done, the frequency response in these is absolutely AMAZING!! Otherwise, the sound is relatively hollow. Of course, I have quite a bit of hair on my head, so that may be an issue (maybe I should shave my head). Anyway, wearing these, you are not even aware of the fact that you are not live and listening to the music in person. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone with an amplifier (be it plugin or portable). These are durable as hell, come with a lifetime warranty, and even a nifty velvet storage bag!

Excellent sound, quality for a fairly reasonable price.
Myself being new to the world of higher-end headphones (it seems full of crazy lingo and brand loyalty), I searched the net for several days for what were considered the best brands. I chose these Koss because I knew the name (and the lifetime warranty, and stories of no-hassle returns, are far more than Sony, Sennheiser, or the rest can boast in the same price range) and I wanted an isolating set of headphones to use for studying (while my roommate pounds out Jay-Z and OutKast on his stereo). The Sonys seemed a little gimmicky (90 day warranty?) and overpriced. I looked at some Bose phones, but they were far out of my price-range. The Sennheisers, according to some "purists", provide the best overall sound quality (although I couldn't imagine anything surpassing these by much), but they appeared too bland-looking and fragile for my tastes.

When I got these I loved them from the start. I never knew they made headphones that sound better than a quality stereo! The sound detail is excellent with audio CDs and MP3s, and the bass is strong but not overpowering. I haven't yet tried these out on DVDs, but I would imagine they would be awesome. As far as isolating goes, I don't know why you would need any type of noise-cancelling headphones (which sacrifice sound quality for technology), because with these babies on, all you hear is the music. My roommate has to throw something at me to get my attention when I have these on! For the newbies out there: these are not for use with a portable CD player or MP3 player; they fall far short of the amplifying power needed to push these phones. If you want something sensitive enough to use with a portable (look for something with impedence around 32 ohms as compared to 250 ohms for these) buy something from the Sennheiser line, as they are also lightweight. I use these mainly to listen to rock, rap, and R&B, with some classical here and there (when studying). These are ideal for the first three but the quality of the classical is not what I would imagine a "purist" would deem extraordinary.

The look and feel of these phones just exude confidence in the craftsmanship and the quality of parts. Simply put, these are some awesome looking headphones. The pads are comfortable but will stick to you in warmer weather. If you don't think you'll be able to handle two extra pounds on your head for an extended period, don't buy these. I only find slight discomfort in my neck after wearing these (and I wear them for 2-3 hours at a time). The 8-foot cord and 1/4" adapter provide ease of use while wheeling around a stereo or computer.

I would recommend these phones to anyone who wants some high-end headphones (from Koss, the people that basically created the headphone) for isolation or just overall excellent quality of sound, with a guarantee for the life of the product.

Perfect phone!
I'm fussy about small buttons, hard to program menues, poorly lighted dials....this phone has none of that! The talking caller ID on the base unit is terrific and the plug in add-on units are very convenient. Very good reception, easy to use call log...I like this phone a lot!!

Getting closer to the perfect phone.
I am a certified phone fetishist. After replacing cordless phone after cordless phone, I have now found one to keep for a while. The AT&T 5800 has the best speakerphone in the industry! You can actually use it in real situations! It has the now rare battery backup feature. I rotate batteries between the handset and the battery backup compartment when ever the handset battery runs out. By never putting the handset in the cradle, this "use it up every time" method makes the batteries last a year or more. Great memory and paging functions. You have to love the blue light! I have dropped it on hard wood floors many times, unlike any other phone or TV remote, the battery and battery cover don't go flying all over. Small but crucial details for the phone connesuer.

Excellent
Very good cordless phone. If I had to buy another I would do it again.
