This Telemania USS Enterprise phone is sure to please any Star Trek or Sci-Fi fans anywhere. It's loaded with digital sounds straight from the series. The receiver rests comfortably in the back of the dish, between the twin engines. The keys are located in the base. Add to that the signature of William Shatner and you have an instant collectible!
The only problem you will have is that this piece is so beautiful, you will not want to use it! :)

I've had many caller id units over the years, including a Nortel phone that lets you pre-record names that were announced. This unit is great because you don't even have to pre-plan, it uses text to speech. Most of time it's right on. Sometimes strange spellings or abbreviations make it hard to understand, but you learn quickly what certain frequent callers sound like when read by the machine. Since it's reading the name sent by caller id, it's much more useful than the machines that read the number.

This basic SX-2809 Toshiba Cordless Phone is of superb quality. Sound and Clairity--EXCELLENT ... Battery Life--EXCELLENT ... Also solid, durable construction. it operates on a DIGITAL mode of transmission as most good quality cordless phones. Not an issue to me BUT you can not turn the ringer off.

There's probably not too much to say about this one - it's a battery, and it's worked great for me. I use it with the Uniden 2.4 GHz cordless phone that I have. The cordless phone has a place on the base to recharge a spare battery. I keep a spare charged, and switch batteries when one runs out . . .

Battery is very high quality. The one I replaced lasted almost 3 years, and I didn't take care of that one very well. Excellent quality.

I wanted just a cordless phone, and forget about gimmicks like answering machines, voice mail system, etc. I just wanted a simple cordless phone that is clear in reception, easy to use, durable, easy to handle and of course low priced. I decided to give this phone a try, and to my surprise, it fulfills all my above wishes.

The phone is just a simple phone with very few extras, but the reception is extraordinarily clear(with the option to change channels as well). The volume adjusting button can amplify reception voice as well. I have asked people calling me to rate their reception of my voice, and all gave a "very clear and loud" response.

An around [money] 2.4Hz cordless phone? Where in the world can you get one with this quality! Get one fast!!

I loved this product! Although this is my first video phone purchase, for the price you can't beat it! The image is much like that of what you may find on a computer. It's very easy to set up and use. Great way to keep in touch with older family members.

I read the reviews on this phone before buying and was a bit skeptical because of some of the negatives, but took a chance. I work out of my home so a good phone is important to me. So far this phone is more than I expected. (I've had it about 3 weeks)It was the only phone that had everything I was looking for: spread spectrum (for privacy), compactness, large lcd screen, hold function, speakerphone, intercom (didnt think I would use this but it IS handy), and built in phone directory (like my cell phone). I don't even have call waiting but the phone does that too, of course. But even so the phone directory is a real time saver. It holds up to 50 numbers and you scroll up and down. Simplicity is also important to me and I don't like a lot of unnecessary buttons just for show. Vtech kept this one SIMPLE and that is what I like best. The large lcd is nice, back lit, and basically tells you what u need to know. The 3 "softkeys" work like a cell phone and change functions in different menus. I didn't really expect the speakerphone to work well but it sounds better than expected and I do use it, so far with no complaints from callers. Oh, and the belt clip actually works pretty well, unlike some which let the phone slip easily off and onto the floor. NOW, you ask is it as good as a corded phone? Who would expect any compact cordless phone with all these features to have 100% clarity of a corded phone? But the slight difference is far more than compensated by the many advantages offered in this small package. I sometimes use this phone while sitting in front of my desk phone, because of its size and portability! If mine breaks after the warranty, I will just go and buy another handset unless someone else comes up with a better phone for the money, which so far I have not seen.

My son gave my daughter and me this four line V-Tech system. It is great. You can carry one phone around with you while the others are on the bases so you don't have to run to the phone when it rings. We had a cordless phone, but these phones are small. If you misplace one, you can call it and find it by its chirping. Also, if I need to reach my daughter, I can call her through this system. You can store phone numbers, redial, look to see whom you called. It has so many features that I don't think we found them all. This was the best gift I have received!

WOW! For $70, this is a great phone with an awesome answering machine. I was skeptical about VTech at first, being "brought up" with Panasonics and Sonys, but I bought this "Jelly bean" phone, for its features, and consequentially, its price. Everything works, and this comes with a belt holder, and wall jack, and (what I really wanted), a headset jack in the phone (the whole reason for the belt holder...to use it with a headset! :-). Everything works, and I will DEFINITELY consider VTech in the future...I wouldn't overlook this phone. Color came in consideration, but purple is a great color. The three mailboxes make it easy to distribute messages. One problem: with answering machine, you must pick the options from one button; about 7 or 8 options, and you have to press it many times until you get to your wanted option; pretty inconvenient, but not that bad. GET THIS IF YOU WANT TO GET RID OF YOUR OLD CORDLESS AND TAPE-ANSWERING MACHINE! -Jonathan Kay
