A power user
I have used the H51-M12 Plantronics headset for several years. I am in sales and often wear the headset up to 8 hours a day without any fatigue. It is extremely comfortable, has excellent sound quality and works with 95% of phones. However, you may want to contact Plantronics to make sure it works with the particular brand and model of phone you will be using.

Editorial Review is Incorrect
The editorial review incorrectly states that "unlike other headsets, a typical multiline phone will not default to the H51-M12's headset when you press a line button. With this unit, you have to remove the handset from the cradle in order to use the headset. Pressing a line button activates the speakerphone." Actually, the ability to leave the handset on the hook is entirely dependent on the telephone itself and has absolutely nothing to do with the headset. A headset ready telephone will default to the M12 and a non-headset ready telephone will not (the phone may need to be programmed). Check your telephone manual to see if it is headset ready (most manuals are poorly organized and there may not be a section specifically for headsets - check either the speakerphone, handsfree, or "how to answer a call" section of the manual). There are occasional exceptions to this rule - a few phone systems, less than one percent, are built with a certain type of headset in mind (your manual will say if this is true) - but those phones are few and far between.

good product
I have been using it for the past 4 month almost every day, and it is really worth every cent. If you are the type of person who use the phone in front of the pc then this is what you exactly need. the good thing that you can use it with any phone regardless of the brand. it turned my cheap phone into a great phone.

Best Portable Cordless Phone System Ever Made
Sleek, feature filled with great battery life and very lightweight. Works over my entire neighborhood. Can't believe they discontinued this. The replacement model is not nearly as good. A classic!

Good phone (and has volume control)
I've been using the matching base for about a year and like it very much. Recently, we added the 2400 extra handset for our bedroom upstairs. (More convenient than running up & down the stairs!). The phone works very well and has many features (such as caller ID w/ call waiting, lighted keypad, etc.). I also wanted to clear up an incorrect fact written by another reviewer. Indeed, this handset DOES have a volume control which works very well. Rather than have a button or knob, the volume is controlled through the menu on the phone. It is simple to use. The only drawback, like all 2.4 GhZ phones, there is some interference w/ certain household appliances (namely my microwave).

A very nice phone
We have not only this unit, but the base station as well (2455). We find that both perform very well, in an environment that has alot of potential interference (i.e. appliances, computers, etc).

This handset gets good reception, and when you start to go out of range, it degrades gracefully. Voice is very clear, and people that we have talked to complement us on how much better this phone sounds than our last set (older ATT cordless).

You can also use the handset as a speaker phone, and it works great at the kitchen table. There are two speakers in the handset, and possibly two mics as well. The result is that the speaker phone is omnidirectional, so people can just gather around it and talk.

It has nice security features, with code-registration between the base and the handset. Most options on the phone (ringer volume, presets, etc) are set via a menu, which is easy to use.

I am really tickled pink with this product. It does what it is supposed to, and is easy to use.

Good Phone for Office
I use this phone at work. It works great. Volume, caller ID, redial are all working well. Battery stays charged even when I forget to put it on the base when I leave at night. The battery life display is very helpful! We do not have a wireless net work so I can't speak for that type of interference but it sits next to my printer, under the copier/fax and next to my desk with my computer and it's clear as a bell. You can't get too far (go outside to the parking lot) away from the base but isn't that true of all of the portables?

Like it enough to buy more handsets!
Bought this phone several months ago, and now I'm ordering more of the expandable handsets as my other 2-line phones wear out. It works great....and I really like how the handsets take up little space and only need an electric outlet. You can even put them in the bathroom!!! Great product.

Does everything I hoped and more
We have three of these handsets to go with the answering machine/base. We use them all over the house as phones and intercom. You can call any handset from any other handset. Has redial memory like a cell, use the arrow keys to find the last few numbers you called from that handset. Easily listen to messages from any handset. All this and we didn't read the manual! Who knows what other features are lurking...

Finally all the best features in one!
Panasonic has definitely been doing their homework. The KX-TG2357B has all the best features one could want in a cordless answering system in both function and appearance at a very reasonable price. I'm a confessed phone nut, searching for the "perfect phone". I own both Motorola and Panasonic's top of the line models of 2003 (MD681 & KX-TG5100 respectively) but I just wasn't satisfied. Recently I noticed Panasonic had presented a new model line, did some research and purchased the 2357B.
What I found was a collection of great features and improvements, which to save time, I'll list below.

1) Lighter handset, slightly smaller with an improved
ergomomic contour with crisp backlit LED displays.
2)Improved handset speaker phone voice quality.
3)NMH battery.
4)Short antenna with a ringer/message alert light on the
tip!
5)Simplified navigation buttons contolling a cell phone
system. (no more space wasting navigation disc)
6)Full commication (phonebook , intercom and conference)
between handsets.
7)Intuative, simple answering system controls with very
usefull LED display window.
8)Attractive styling in charcoal black. Enough silver
already!
9)Talking caller ID. Works great!!
10)Includes 2 handsets!

I join the previous reviewers in highly recomending this phone system, so thoughtfully executed, at a better than reasonable price!

Highly recommended
I agree 100% with "An electronic fan's" previous review. I'll just add that the range on this phone is great. I walked 1 block from my house with the phone and it sound just as clear as it does 20ft from the transmitter.

Also, if you have caller ID service this phone has talking caller ID which works surprizingly well. When you receive a call the phone will ring a couple of times and then announce "call from Doe, John" from the handsets and the base. This makes it easy to screen your calls.

I really like the fact that you can access just about every function and feature through the handsets like retrieving messages, speakerphone, editing settings, etc.

An excellent value, highly recommended.

Lots of Value for the Money
This Panasonic phone was a replacement for a previous 900MHz model that we'd had for a number of years. I checked out ratings for cordless phones at a leading consumer magazine's website, and Panasonic was by far the highest-rated manufacturer, though there are many fine brands of cordless phones.

What sets this model apart is the features included for a very reasonable price, especially the inclusion of a second handset. It's great to have what amounts to three phones in one, since the base unit includes a keypad of its own in addition to the handset it accomodates. The base has a speakerphone built in, as do the handsets, so you can work hands-free anywhere. The ability to plug in a headset to the handsets is also convenient, though I personally don't envision the need to do so.

The clarity of the sound is truly extraordinary, and one of Panasonic's main advantages. The Voice Enhancer technology is valuable in the event of a bad connection, but even without it the intelligibility is superb.

Another nice feature is the variable ring tones on the base unit as well as the handsets, including several melodies. You can also subscribe to a service where other melodies and tones are downloadable, but this seems a bit nonsensical. After all - it's a phone, not a stereo system!

The unit and the handsets are easy to operate, and the instruction manual is clearly written with plenty of diagrams.

You won't be disappointed with the KX-TG2357B - it's a great system, easy to use, great-sounding, and the price is right.

By the way, I didn't happen to purchase mine at Amazon, but wanted you to know that this is a fine product for your consideration.

From a critic's point of view
Well, I am a geek, but just a computer geek. So I always look at things from a perform and value for your dollar view.

This is well worth the price, because you will be able to enjoy you call vs "hello? what's that noise? is that your phone?

Buy the phone, I took back a uniden which I tested near the microwave and it was terrible. This phone right nest to the microwave.. No problem.

Killer Business Phone!!!
Hi, I use this phone 10hrs a day. It is VERY comfortable, and it has GREAT business features. Outlook Sync - FINALLY!!! a service that takes your phonebook and puts it in the phone. I did 35 numbers in 5 minutes. Great mute function, mutes the headset too. Also, it might not seem like a big deal, but the belt clip in very sturdy...it doesn't fling the phone off when you sit down. I love the flashing antenna that signals the v-mails... I would reccomend this phone to anyone who needs a great phone with intuative business features...FIVE STARS

Kudo's Panasonic For Making A Great Phone Even Better!
I went to Target to get another KX-TG2216 2.4GHz phone to have in the house when I came across this new KX-TG5050 5.8GHz phone and the price wasn't too bad, so I bought one.

First of all I've been very happy with the quality of the KX-TG2216 so I was a little leary of experimenting with another model. Let me just say that I'm very happy and impressed with the features of this new 5.8GHz phone. They have taken all of the features of the 2.4GHz phone I have and expanded them.

The one feature that I wish all phones would have is the directory matching feature, and now Panasonic seems to have included this on these new phones.....kudo's Panasonic. The way this works is that when you receive a call and if the number of the person is calling is matched in you directory that's how it's displayed on the phone. In other words if you have your mother in your phone book as "MOM" this is how it will show on the display. Panasonic calls this feature "Personalized Name Display".

On to the display. The new display is not only larger but the black lettering against the orange background makes to easier viewing.

The sound quality is very good with plenty of volume. The listening volume on the handset as well as the speakerphone are loud enough for us folks who are middle aged and only hear half of what people are saying to us.

There is now one touch soft buttons for both voicemail and the internal phone directory. Thanks Panasonic for now using a nickle netal hydride battery. When I first saw this battery I thought is was a lithium because of it's small size but it turns out to be nickle metal hydride with 830 milli amps output and seems to work very good so far.

Physically the phone itself is the same size as my 2.4GHz but Panasonic has shortened the antenna by about 1 1/2" inches. Speaking of the antenna, when you have voicemail a light built into the top flashes slowly indicating someone has left you voicemail. Also the light flashes rapidly when you receive a call. This would be nice if you chose to turn the ringer off but still want to visually know when someone is calling.

All in all I'm very happy with this phone and I would definitely give it a:

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Excellent Phone
This is a very good telephone set with all required feature for daily use

Easy to cary and easy to hear when it rings.
I think that this phone is a wonderful preasent for any teen. If I had a teen I would give them a phone and their own phone line. Just outta curiosity, when will you get more in stock?

Another all-around excellent product from Panasonic
After two weeks, we can report being very satisfied with this phone. The overall quality and ease of use is up to the solid Panasonic standard -- at a very attractive price. The sound quality and range is excellent with almost no degradation at a long distance from the base. The speakerphone works well and, as we've never had one at home before, it's both novel and useful. The answering machine has all the right features and was easy to set up and use. Only small quibble: the ringer on the high setting is harsh; however, the low setting is quite bearable.

My secret weapon
I bought this as a way to get back at my kids for all those jokes they play on me. it's so funny, they can't figure out how I make the sounds in the phone. They're dying to know, but I wont' tell them. It's my secret women. The chicken and crying baby sounds crack us all up.

This is hilarious!
My cousin bought me the RAZZ for an early Xmas present. It's really cute, light, and easy to use. I am having such a great time "razzing" my friends! I even 'razzed' my dad and got a big laugh! I've bought some for stocking stuffers already. I checked out their website to see what other cool accessories they make and found a mirror and light back plate that looks really great.

Very Cool, Very Entertaining
I was going to buy a headset for my phone and came across the RAZZ. As soon as I received it, I started razzing my friends. Since then, a bunch of them bought it and we've harassing each other. Good stuff. Looks cool. Easy to use. 20 bucks well spent.

The ZEP-100 Ruined My Life!
I used to be a productive member of society. But recently, I purchased the ZEP100, and now I find myself sitting by the phone day and night, just waiting for a telemarketer to call so I can press that magic button. I haven't showered, gone to the office, or brushed my teeth in weeks. My only fear is this device may work TOO well, and eventually I will not get any more calls. I hope I will still have a job.

The ZEP100 actually exceeded my expectations (how often does that happen?). I assumed I would at least have to pick up the phone and engage in conversation with the telemarketer. But luckily, I have Caller ID, and luckier yet, the ZEP-100 will work even without lifting the phone from the hook.

When an incoming call shows "UNAVAILABLE" on the Caller ID unit, I simply press the button. The phone stops ringing and the recording plays twice. And that's a key feature: Most calls are generated by a computer, which does not switch the line to a human salesperson until it hears a voice. By repeating the message twice, the ZEP100 guarantees that someone will hear the entire message, even though the first few seconds may be playing to deaf ears (the computer).

Even if you don't have Caller ID, you need not have a conversation with the caller. If you say "hello" and do not hear an immediate response, you know you've been called by a computer. At that point, simply press the button and hang up (in that order!).

My only very minor complaint is the chintzy strip of weak double-surface tape supplied with the device. It didn't stick very well to the caller-ID box. So I simply cut a larger piece from higher quality stock.

My conclusion: If you dislike telemarketer calls, the ZEP100 is a MUST-BUY device. It's inexpensive and it WORKS!

What a Relief
I use this device almost every day. Because I work out of my own home, several different phone numbers funnel into my home. So I get a range of unwanted solicitations.
Installation was extremely easy. It worked immediately.
I still try and tell the salesperson that I am not interested, but if they don't pay atention and continue on their spiel, I hit the button and let the machine take care of it. The message from the machine tells them to take you off their calling list, and maybe even that works, because I don't get calls from stockbrokers anymore, in my experience they were the worst.
In short, its a piece of technology that makes your life easier and lowers your stress level--a rare combination in my experience.

Blast the Telemarketers!
Wow, telemarketers are annoying! I can't tell you how many times I get called each day from some outfit trying to give (sell) me insurance for a low-low rate, or how many "free" vacation trips I have won! I got "caller ID" thinking it would solve the problem, but it hasn't, neither does "anonymous call rejection." So here is a device that allows you to "fight back" at the telemarketers. It plugs right into your phone then you plug the phone line into it. Once your 30 second install is complete, you sit back and wait, it won't be long! Once you get that annoying telemarketer, simply push the button and hang up. They will then hear a nice tone and then told "I'm sorry, this number doesn't accept calls ..." This is the best thing since Caller ID! I liked it so much, I now have one on all my phones!

Great little phone in its simplicity!
The box says the AT&T 210 Trimline is the best selling phone of all time, and I can see why. It's reliable and doesn't have a bunch of complicated instructions and programming to follow. It has good clear sound, and the handset has adjustabnle volume, which makes it good for the hearing impaired. Cordless phones seems to be gaining in popularity, but everyone needs at least one corded phone in their house for in case of a power failure. This simple, inexpensive little phone is an excellent choice!

Very basic, but very good.
Okay, so you've got your four-line, 2.4GHz Digital Spread Spectrum cordless phone with 100-number memory and built-in answering machine. And then the power goes out. Or you loose the handset in the couch cushions. Or you forget to charge it. Or you can't even figure out how to turn the darned thing ON. That's what the Trimline is for. It's a cheap, reliable, easy backup phone. The adjustable volume makes this thing really loud, and the backlit keypad is a feature somehow missing in my expensive cordless. And I like having a phone that's tethered, so I always know where to go when it rings. The memory works, but I don't think the people who buy a phone like this will use it much (I have only one number in mine, plus the emergency numbers.)

Great Phone, Good Price
I purchased this phone about one week ago at a whopping discount and overall I am very pleased. The reception is crystal clear, I do not get any of the hissing sounds that I got with my old Sony. Setting up the message and the clock were absolute simplicity; conversely, I had to get out the manual every time I wanted to change the clock on my old phone. The answering machine is digital so I will not get the tape system breaking down on me, as happened last time. This phone is analogue, not digital; you will not get the security of a digital phone, but you will also not get the "echo" of a digital phone. The only reason that I did not give it five stars is because the messages are heavily compressed and it is sometimes diffcult to hear what they are saying.

What's The Catch?
After taking 20 minutes to set up the clock, outgoing message & read thru the manual, I was ready to go. Perhaps the recorded messages are a bit wobbly, but that's about the only nick I've found. Otherwise, the look, the ease of use & of course, the price make this product a great choice.

Super bargain
I have no complaints with this phone whatsoever and was pleasantly surprised to find out that it has a speaker phone feature. Recorded messages sound a little digital, but it doesn't bother me. I think a comparable phone with a more recognized brand would cost twice as much on average. Don't hesitate to take advantage of this great deal.
