A very good, full-featured phone. A CR Best Buy. FEATURES: Caller ID with call-waiting capability. Scroll dial for accessing names and numbers in memory through the display. Alphanumeric entry for speed-dial numbers.

Amazon is selling the phone fopr less than the $63 CS said it would cost me.

This phone works.. It does what it says it does. The phone itself is uncomfortable on the ear after about 15 minutes. A headset would be better. The speaker places too much of your own voice (the microphone) in the mix. When speaking your voice sounds like it has a slight delay on it (milliseconds). Its just enough to make it sound like you are talking into a hollow metal box. It is very unpleasing to my ears. However, a friend talked into it and said "wow, that sounds good!". So, there is a "like-able" quality to the sound, apparently. There are some nice features that I like about this phone. You can type in a phone number and edit it on the LED display and then hit talk (like the 'send' button on cell phones). It also has the ability to pick up the incoming call from when you pick the handset up from the base or after the handset is picked up you can hit the TALK button. This is so you can check the caller id first (if you have caller id). The call waiting caller id is nice too (although you have to order these "features" through your phone company). The phone has enough options that cover most needs for a family household telephone. Since I found the phone on clearance...I am giving it 4 stars...

I got this item beacuse i heard good reviews about it at circuit city. i needed a call id box beacuase my phone my brand new phone dosen't and it helps a lot

I had problems with static on a Panasonic phone that I purchased and returned within 30 days. On the advice of family members, they suggested a Uniden phone, so I went ahead and purchased this model. The price was (...)lower for this phone, and there is ABSOLUTELY NO STATIC! The digital answering machine is of good quality sound wise.

After searching for three weeks for a phone, I am settling on the Uniden's EXI8965 900MHz Cordless Phone with CID and Dual Keypad. You see, this is a leap of faith, being that this is my first online purchase. I have never owned a Uniden phone, but I have owned others who were big in name, but small in performance. What I think I will enjoy most is the dual keypad will allow me to have two phones in one location. Have you ever been in the bedroom, wanting to make a call, but discovered that you left the handset in your laundry room??? Also I like the fact that this phone does not look like a kid's toy. I can place it anywhere and it will fit right in with my decor. It may be a lot to ask, but with the keypad being on both handset and base, that they could have figured out a way to put the Caller ID on the base too. That way, I can decide if I want to go get the handset from the next room!!

This phone works better than most cordless phone I've had and the battery life is super. Range is very good. Gripes: no ringer hi-lo-off switch and I cant talk and use the microwave oven at the same time.

we've had this phone for a long time, and its served us well. I go walking in a nearby neighborhood frequently, and the phone actually still can call etc. for a full 1/2 mile, which isn't terribly much to walk, but its close enough to run within that radius. My only complain is the battery power isn't that long. I'm a teenager, and it dies kinda frequently when I talk to my friends too long. Of course, I frequently talk over 4 hours, so that may not be an issue with alot of people.

My family owns this phone and we use it daily. The headset is an added bonus, the phone quite clear and does not echo like a phone we just bought (then returned) for the same price. I have found that it is great for kid's rooms and college dorms because it is tough and well made, ours has been dropped more than once and still works well. The only negative (very slight) I have found is that it does not have the sound quality of the VTECH digital phone we own but that is understandable as it is not digital, the difference in sound quality is very, very small. This is a great phone for your dollar and will last for quite some time, I would recomend it.

This phone is great, all except for one thing. when i purchased the phone i didn't see where it said you had to call your phone company and subscribe to get caller ID so you end up having to pay more money to actually use all the features on this phone. other than that it's great.

I got 2 of these barebones simple cordless phones because I broke my cordless phone and I realized I had no phone at all at another apartment of mine. They were really cheap and they work exactly as advertised. There is no caller ID, voicemail, or anything else. No LCD display at all. As long as you understand this before buying, I think this phone is a good replacement for a conventional wall or table phone. The only reason I give it 4 not 5 stars is the somewhat cheap feeling of the handset and the antenna looks and feels funny. But for the price, this phone is totally durable, and works fine.
