Acceptable replacement
After thoroughly reviewing all cordless with answering machine, caller ID, speakerphone and extra handsets, this appeared to be the one covering all those bases with value in mind.

Pros: TWO handsets included. This is NOT standard on most cordless systems. Both use NIMH batteries, NOT standard NiCAD (garbage) like on most units. You will most likely never have to replace the batteries, or not for many years.

Quality and reliability of overall phone appears to be good, unlike Uniden. My parents own this same phone, and have for two years. No problems, they love it.

Speakerphone on each of the handsets is excellent. People I call can barely make out that I'm on a handset speakerphone. Being a portable speakerphone is actually more convenient than one built into the base unit. Sound quality is good, volume adjustment is good.

Answering machine is decent, but sound quality out of the speaker on base could be stronger and clearer. However, it passes well enough. Configuration of the buttons on base unit is not too uniform, but you do adjust quickly.

Cons:

I don't think the phones earpiece is comfortable enough. I compared my old 900 mhz this new one and the old was far more comfortable. Why fool around with new design that feels awkward. I really have to move it around to find "the comfort zone." I find myself using the speakerphone often, although my wife, mom and dad have not complained about it. Could be me.

Speed dial is lousy-- in other words, there really isn't one. Sure, you can page down the list of numbers and then hit "talk" to dial it, but if your personal directory is huge, it's painful and waste of time.

Not enough ringer tones (only 6 --and 5 of them are completely obnoxious)

Each unit requires your directory phone numbers to be MANUALLY plugged in! EACH ONE INDEPENDENTLY. No wireless communication between each handset. Again, see what I mean about a huge directory and how tedious it rapidly becomes when setting up the unit? ARGH!! Your products are getting harder to use, Panasonic.

Each unit needs it's Caller ID log cleared seperately. If you get a call and then clear the ID on one phone, you must go and clear the other as well. Again.....ARGH!

Would I buy this phone again? Hmmm...probably not. But I won't return it due to the con's. If you can ignore only a few of the negatives, this may be a decent phone for you.

Great cordless phone + walkie talkie solution!
I wanted a cordless phone to replace a dead Panasonic KX-TG2650 (2.4 GHz cordless phone with speakerphone). In addition, I wanted a phone that has an answering machine built in. Finally, I wanted a cordless phone which offered good range.

I narrowed down my choices by reading epinions.com, ranking of popular phones at amazon.com, and recommendations from cordlessphonesamerica.com. This model appeared to fit my bill. After a week of use, I'm convinced I made the right choice.

Calls are clear, except when I turn on the microwave -- I hear a few clicks when that happens. But that's expected of cordless phones that operate on the 2.4GHz bandwidth.

This model allows you to have conversations between handsets (walkie talkie feature :-)) In addition, you can transfer incoming phone calls from one handset to another, and conference into the conversation after the transfer, if needed. You may also page handsets from the base.

The answering system feature is adequate for my needs, and is conveniently accessible from the handset. The speakerphone feature on the handset is an incredible convenience.

I compared this with the KX-TG2730S. I liked the all black appearance of this phone, plus its NiMH batteries. The KX-TG2730S comes with NiCD batteries -- don't want the memory effect.

Hope this helps you.

After carefull review of all the 2.4 Gig systems
on the market. My selection was the KX-TG 2382 from
Panasonic. The system works fantastic, but keep in mind
to charge the phones for 15 hours before use. Great options,
clear reception and range. My system was purchased at Sam's
Club and the same model came with 1 base phone and 2 additional
phones and charging bases. I needed a cordless wall mount with
answering machine and this design looks and works very well. Although my system was with a additional handset and charging base, the price was a little higher at 175.00. A bargain for the third phone! The only system with a close match is the
KX-TG2352 and in white. Panasonic delivers.

Successfully does what it's designed to do
As others have noted, sound quality is a hit or miss venture - it depends on the combination of phone and headset. Frustrating, but reality. I use my Plantronics with a Uniden TRU346, I've had to max out the volume on the phone and in both places on the headset to achieve adequate enough volume where no one complains about not hearing me. Fortunately, both the M175 and Uniden have excellent volume control features, otherwise I'd have had to return this headset. The only downside to this is that when dialing, if I forget to turn down the volume before dialing it's too loud, after connecting I then can max the volume - a minor annoyance.

I use a business level (read: very expensive) Plantronics headset with amplification module at the office, but that ties me to my desk, when working from home, I use the Plantronics M175, put my phone in my pocket, and can roam hands free for as far as my phone will take me. Plantronics quality of materials, design, construction and sound is among the best. A handy mute button and volume control dial located mid point on the cord makes quick adjustment a breeze. It would have been nice to have had a call end button on the cord, but for this price, it's a deal without it.

I actually prefer the shortened boom, my headset at work has a longer and adjustable wire boom, but it gets in the way most times - being bumped by my hand (makes for an audible shock to the other party), getting in the way while taking a sip of coffee, etc., and with the shorter boom on the M175, when my allergies are in full swing, I can hit the mute button and blow my nose or sneeze without moving the boom, and the caller doesn't know what I just did - sounds funny, but think of how often one's immediate needs are limited by being on the phone. Also, Plantronics does a better job than most at eliminating background noise.

Buy this unit if your phone has excellent volume control abilities and you want the option of using as a headset or ear setup. Shop around, you'll be surprised at how low priced Amazon is for this unit.

best I've used yet
I wanted an improvement over the headset that came with my AT&T 900MHz cordless phone where the people I was speaking with had problems hearing me and the earpiece hurt. This is a huge improvement, I particularly love the volume controls for both the microphone and speaker, and the easy mute button. I find this headset extrememly comfortable and it comes with three sizes of earclips. I did not rate it with five stars because on our other cordless phone, a Panasonic 2.4 GHz, I cannot hear the other person as clearly.

It works well
I use this headset with a Motorola Star-Tac. I works perfectly. What make this better is that it is tele-coil compatible, yet reasonably priced. I also find the over the head style more stable, especially on long rides in the car.

One size does not fit all
This headset does not fit everyone. I suspect it does not fit most women at all. My husband loves it but it will not stay on my ear unless I sit perfectly still and do not move. I am not particularly petite, but it just falls right off when I am talking.

The next best thing to world peace
This headset is the best 10 bucks I've ever spent. The sound quality is perfect (by phone standards) and the set is so comfortable I can't tell that I'm wearing it. The clip-over-the-ear style had me worried about comfort, but now I think it is superior to any overhead style. The mike placement is great, it picks up my voice clearly yet is off to the side enough that I can eat and drink without even realizing that the headset is on. It almost seems like telepathy, talking to and hearing someone distant so clearly, with no handset in your hand and no sensation of wearing a headset!

We got 2 of these; my wife has arthritis and holding the phone hurts her wrist. Now she can water the garden while she yaps away. I like to work on my cars while I'm on the phone. You do have to attach the clip on the wire to your lapel to keep the wire from tapping the mike. I usually nitpick and complain about something about every purchase, but none here.

I like it so much, I bought 2!
I bought one for my home phone (a Panasonic 2.4 GHz) & it works great. I even use the headseat more than I thought I would. (It seemed like such a gimmick at the time...but a cool gimmick.) I just bought a new mobile phone (an LG330) & this headset works well with that too (with the addition of one cheap adapter that I had to buy from GTE). I wanted one for my house & one to keep in my car. For 10 bucks, you can't beat it. In fact, GTE (temporarily) sold me a headset for $60 (before I realized that the one I had would work). Their's was a piece of JUNK! It was flimsy; wouldn't stay on my ear; had a tiny speaker that only sounded well when it was shoved into my ear (which is very uncomfortable); and a thin wire as a microphone which was hard to control since the position on my ear was always changing as it slid around. Besides, I did sound tests to compare the 2: the AT&T sounded better on my end and the people I spoke with could hear me better with the AT&T. No contest. I just ordered my 2nd AT&T 90800.

Buggy; answering machine fails often
After the warranty period expired I noticed that the device starts "losing" memory -- where you may have started with 15 minutes available for messages it would go down to four minutes, 3 minutes, and now, my machine thinks it is full all the time. I erase all the mailboxes, clear the greeting, all to no avail. I called Panasonic and they give you a reset procedure that simply does not work (hold down mute, hold, and transfer buttons while plugging in then press #3). It has been a horrible experience.

IT"S DA BOMB! TOTALLY THE BEST
FEATURES, FEATURES, FEATURES. You should give this a try. I have waited for a great phone and it's now here. I got a great price. Going to buy another handset. I Like using belt clip (which is very secure on phone)and speaker phone on the handset when I'm on hold. I just clip it to my shirt and continue my life. You can adjust volume on handset, on base, for ringer and volume for Monitoring answering machine. Which I forgot to turn on.
LOL

Love the NOT TO SHORT phone. I can put it on my shoulder again. Love the light up display. Love the easy menu's. Really love the one touch dial of last 5 calls. Love the Add to phone book.

SPEAKER PHONE IS CLEAR! But callers can still tell its a speaker phone. Haven't needed to use Booster yet. Manual is big help and clear. It's a very attractive phone. I've seen some reviews here that knock the volume. No real problem here. Use it by my computer all the time. No interference.

I wish it could set ring tones for specific callers. That would be very convienient. Especially if it could be set to ring differently for Out of Area or Anonymous calls. Darn telesellers.

I also wish it would learn to fix dinner. Still waiting for that feature too.

Best Phone I've Owned / Tested
I bought and tried three different 5.8GHZ phones available on the market... Uniden, VTech, and the Panasonic. The following is what I found:

Uniden
The Uniden looks good, but only performs decently. The handset is a bit big and clunky, and fairly heavy too. The worse feature of the phone is the ear piece. It sounds very tinny and not really that impressive for a phone of this quality and price. It's like talking to someone with a tin can up to your ear... all treble and no bass... doesn't sound natural. Probably the worse sounding ear piece I've ever heard on a phone.

VTech
First of all, it doesn't truly utilize 5.8GHZ technology... it's 2.4 one way and 5.8 the other... so this still can cause problems with outside interference and computer networks. The phone performs fairly well, but there was nothing that special about it's performance or features. A 2.4GHZ phone for more than $50 less would perform the same.

Panasonic
WOW! BY FAR THE BEST PHONE ON THE MARKET. I honestly found no flaws with this phone. Great range (further than the other two), never experienced static once, great sound and clarity from the ear piece, really nice answering machine and caller id features, very clear displays,.. the lists goes on. Just an all around great phone. I'm glad I tested them all out to see what was the best bang for my buck... the Panasonic 5.8GHZ phone blows the other 5.8ghz phones out of the water... it's not even close. If I hadn't tried them all, I may have been satisified with the other 2, but having tried the Panasonic, I wouldn't even consider the Uniden or VTech phones... they are mediocre in comparison to the Pansonic... yet cost the same price.

Go with the Panasonic... I love it. Best phone I've ever owned.

terrible sound quality
like many of the other buyers, i ignored warnings and purchased this phone anyway because it had so many features. bad idea. the sound quality is terrible. people constantly told me that they couldn't hear me, i heard a hissing in the background and i had difficulty hearing people as well. i bought this phone about 4 months ago and initially it was fine. i especially like the second handset but at this point, i'm still looking for a good quality cordless phone. i don't ask for much. just want good sound quality. if anyone has any suggestions.... i would not recommend this phone. oftentimes, i had to call people back on my cell phone because this phone was so unclear.

Great product, bad price
I bought the same phone at Sam's Club for $50. It's been great, no problems, super easy to use! Just don't byu it here, it's a rip-off!!!

Good phone and machine
After reading some of the reviews, I figured could return the phone if needed. Well theres no need to! It works fine. I'm a broadcast engineer and I am pretty picky about the technical details of most consumer equipment. I don't know why others have reported poor sound quality, I don't have that problem at all. It sounds fine. The phone is compact/light and has super range. It even works with our 2.4 gig wireless access point located just 3 feet away from the base. The caller ID works everytime and the reminder for pending messages isn't obnoxious, just a gentle beep that you have a message pending. You can retrieve your messages from the handset but no, you can't use both handsets at the same time, but I didn't expect that. The options all in all are pretty good. I wish it had a way to choose the outgoing message based on CID, but that would also be a luxury. For the money, this has been a good phone for us!

Greatest phone you can buy !!!!
I read all the reviews before buying it and I was kind of worried about the range but trust me lot of these people are looking for an ham radio not a phone!!!!
This phone works great and the range is perfect for a normal family house. My house is a 3 level one and I set up the base in the basement ( that's where I have my office ), and the handsets one on each floor ( I bought an extra one ) and the range is perfect, no static, no loss of connection to the base. Also this phone has great sound that I never heard before in a cordless, someone said that you hear a little echo in the handset and is true but is not bothering the conversation at all.
The sound correction is a cool feature even if I don't use it.
The other really great feature is the speakerphone on the handset.
I guess a lot of people who wrote reviews did buy this phone for a office use and got a little upset figuring out that this is just a normal home phone cordless.
Somebody complained about the fact that if you save a phone number in the base phone book and try to recall it from the handset ( or the other way around ) is not there ( the phone book are not shared ) but that is actually good if you are going to have different components of the family using the single handsets.
In my case I use the base most and my wife use the handset on the top floor so she has memorized her own "girlfriends" numbers on the handset phone book that, trust me, I don't need to find in the base phone book that I use for work !!!
All around a nice and smart phone, working fine in my case.

Just keep on buyin' em'.
I bought my original V-Tech about six months ago and was so happy with it, that I have bought three expansion sets. Every handset seems to work anywhere in the house even though my base unit is on the bottom floor. The V-Tech came after a very long search for a decent cordless. I went through AT&T phones, Bell Atlantic phones, etc. I kept skipping V-Tech because I hadn't heard of them before. My bad. This phone kicks some serious elf. I highly recommend it.

Details:
Sound quality is excellent.
Reception is excellent.
Visibility is excellent.
Speakerphone (even on the handhelds!!!!) cool as ever.
No speed dial - Blows, but not the biggest problem for me. I'm not that popular so scrolling through my saved numbers isn't so tedious. :-)
Keypad on base and handset - very useful.
Battery life - doesn't suck at all. I leave mine off the hook for nearly a week before it sputters to a gasp.

great phone
I live in a small, older house that has only one phone jack. This phone is great for a situation like that. I purchased two handsets on clearance and have them set up in other areas of the house. It also works well outside of the house. In my opinion, it is well worth the money.

Not even close to the mark!!
On the plus side, nice styling, and the features that are there, work as advertised (although the phonebook feature is useless). Sound is fine, but a bit on the quiet side. The speakerphone in the handset is awsome.

Major disapointments:

1) Not a true 5.8Ghz system, but 5.8Ghz and 2.4. So it still screws up wireless networkse (the whole reason I bought the darned thing).

2) No way to check messages from the handset.

3) Clock and caller ID features are per handset, not shared. This means that you set a whole pile of handsets when the clocks change. Also, deleting caller ID logs must be done on each handset. Very lame!

4) No speed dialing. Holly cow, my $3.99 phone could do that. Why can't a $400 phone system do this do this? Shame on AT&T!

5) Battery life is very short (only a couple of days between charging).

Bottom line...AT&T clearly no longer knows anything about human factors or usability of phones. They miss the mark on almost every score (except sound quality). They are also guilty of false advertising by claiming this to be a 5.8 Ghz phone. Shame on them!

Just about as good as they come
For an all around workhorse system that offers thoughtless ease of use, powerful built in functionallity and expandability you will be hard pressed to find a phone of this caliber offered from a competitor. After looking at dozens of other systems I found every single one had caveats. The 5840 however was the closest match to my needs. The only feature I believe that should have been included but wasn't was the base dialing. But this is quickly remedied through the purchase of an additional handset. Simply leave the included handset cradeled after each use and the problem is solved. Even should the handset go missing you can still answer incoming calls on the speaker phone.

As for no speed dial this is somewhat of a misnomer. If your speed dial is a frequently used number then 99% of the time it will appear in your redial menu. Simply select it and it works just like speed dial. Granted it isn't true 1 button calling, but it is still very handy. Range is fantastic. I can't get any squelch anywhere within my house (Upstairs or in the basement). Appearance is very clean and professional and beats the heck out of a lot of the plasticy play-school-esque phones currently available. Sound is above average with customizable tone control. For anyone going from a less than perfect phone to this system you may have some adjustment. There is absolutly no hissy feedback in the line. Often if both parties are silent you may feel as though you have lost your connection. The sound of near perfection is something most phones have difficulty with.

As for nice touches and features. Call transfer is quite handy. Phone to phone intercom is also very nice. As is the built in battery backup. Handset use and drain is well above par. Days off a cradle doesn't hardly phase the charge.

As for an all around household system, the Joneses will be hard pressed to find a superior feature laden solution. So don't lament the (Bigger, Better Badder) scenario, because frankly it doesn't currently exist. As for the die hard home office user there may be a need to look elsewhere for wireless networking, but for the typical family with typical utilization this will take you to a level that will make your old phone feel like 2 tin cans and a piece of string.

Great performer with one minor quirk!
I got a great deal on this phone and two extra handsets and have been enormously pleased with with its performance and versatility. I don't believe there is a more rounded phone package available at a better price, and believe me, I've looked.

Since it's a 5.8GHz DSS system, I have had absolutely no interference with anything else in my home. And because each handset can be programmed independently of the others, my entire call list is installed on my handset, while my kids have their friends programmed into each of their phones. None of us has to look through long lists of people we don't know to find the people we want to call. When looking for a new phone system, I wanted to get one that had both a built-in speaker phone and an answering machine with separate mail boxes. This not only delivered, but I got a very useful bonus as well: each handset can be used as a speaker phone. Now I'm not tied to the base unit when I need to use the speaker phone.

The only gripe I have is with the answering machine. It works fine and has three mailboxes, which I wanted. However, it records a "message" every time it answers, even on hang-ups or when the caller does not actually leave a message. It's a pain to have to wade through six or seven blank messages on mail box 1 just to hear the two or three real ones. That's the reason I am giving this four stars instead of five. Other than that one quirk, it is a great phone system, and I highly recommend it for its versatility and performance.

Nice design, poor performance.
Two weeks ago, I purchased the CT-10 after reading a few online reviews. My concerns about the volume proved to be valid. My hearing is not perfect, but my girlfriend had trouble with the level as well. I have been using a Plantronics Binaural Supra headset at work for many years, and have been very happy with it, so I was hopeful that the CT-10 would meet my needs. Bottom line: It doesn't get loud enough.

With the volume cranked, I still could not hear the other party well in 50% of my calls. I even ordered the adapter to see if there was any improvement with the use of my Supra headset. It didn't help any. I'm disappointed, as I like many of the features of the unit. The base and phone are well designed and I like the fact that the headset is detachable, but none of it is enough if you can't hear your call. I was often asking a party to speak up and to repeat himself.

I was told by tech support at Plantronics that the CA-10, their cordless headset amplifier that hooks up to a regular phone, would have better volume. It looks almost identical, but it is simply an amplifier, so I suppose this could be true. I'm not willing however, to shell out more money for something that does less. If you wanted to answer phones remotely with the CA-10, you would need the handset-lifting device, and you can't dial remotely with it. That may eventually be a good solution for me, but for now I have exchanged my Plantronics CT-10 for a GE cordless headset phone with caller ID.

It is larger, and I am kind of amused by the spring-loaded contacts that want to tip the phone out of the charging base, but my calls are "loud and clear." The headset is hardwired into the phone which is a negative if it needs to be repaired, and it is more than twice the size of the CT-10, but in my opinion, it does the job better. Granted, I have only been using the GE unit for a few days, so I may discover other issues, but for now it is the solution at $30 less. That reminds me: I also had a problem with static on my CT-10. It was associated with the headset jack. Just touching the jack lightly while on the phone would cause an annoying static that both parties could hear. I assumed that my unit was defective, but didn't want to try another CT-10 anyway.

The GE model is: 26970GE2-A. Good luck.

Plantronics CT10
Plantronics usually makes quality products. This is not one of them. The case is sturdy and headset is ok. The battery is built into the belt clip which is mounted upside down for some who knows why reason? Then I tried it... audio came howling back into the earpiece like an echo, similar to the original cordless phones 20 years ago. Totally unacceptable!! Back it went and replaced with the new Plantronics CT12 and its GREAT! Totally different, regular type lithium battery and sounds and talks great! Well worth the little $ difference.

My second review after 7 months of usage
ABSOLUTELY GREAT LITTLE PHONE

I'm still thrilled with this little phone. One two minor concern areas and a whole lot of positives.

TWO MINOR CONCERNS: Two concern areas, easy to work around.

1. Easy to knock headset off of holder. My solution was to put it in a very low traffic area.

2. Moving the headset jack where it plugs in the spot that has the buttons gives you a crackling sound, when using. Bottom line, just don't do this. I make sure this area is not likely to get brushed when I'm using it.

7 MONTHS OF FREQUENT USAGE: I use this phone for 3 hours per week and any time I get put on hold for any length of time. This has been pretty consistent for the last 7 months. I have neck and jaw problems and this unit is a lifesaver.

MUTE FEATURE: One feature that is fantastic is the mute feature which gives you a low level beep reminding you that you are on mute. I have attended many a conference call with this on while folding laundry. The beep is a subtle reminder that you have no audio.

DURABLE: I find the headset durable even under multiple adjustments and highly flexible for ear position. My teenage daughter also uses this unit, so it gets adjusted often.

SINGLE EAR PIECE MORE NATURAL FOR ME THAN TWO: The ear piece is comfortable and the mouthpiece nicely done in hard plastic. Easy to flip up, when threatened with a sneeze. I like the single ear piece, as the other headsets I've used, have two earpieces and quite frankly I'm not used to that when I'm on the phone.

STAYS ON COMFORTABLY: With the single ear design and light feel of the unit initially I was concerned that it would not stay on well, but it is very stable and I have never had it fall off.

QUALITY: The sound quality has always been excellent and the range as well. I have gotten the mail on the side of the road without even a crackle. Mind you the neighbors think I'm talking to myself but they'll get over it.

CHARGE: Only one time did I have the unit start to lack in charge and this was when my teenager had left the unit off the cradle for a day or so. Only then after an hour conversation did it begin to wane. My weekly usage is often for calls that last over two hours, and these have never been effected.

Great little phone.

Makes a loud, annoying tone when used with a cordless phone
I bought my TeleZapper for use with a new Motorola 2.4 GHz Digital cordless phone. Whenever I press the "ON" or the "HANDS-FREE" buttons on the handset, the phone emits a loud and annoying beep. This makes it very difficult to hold the handset close to you ear when you make or take a phone call. When I disconnect the TeleZapper, this loud tone is not present.

Anyone else have this problem?

It works, but who knows how well?
I know that this thing will disconnect some sales calls, and I have been told that this will have a cumulative effect. Supposedly, as my number is removed from the lists of current telemarketers, it will not be placed on new lists generated by these companies. That sounds good, but will it really work?

Meanwhile, you have your choice of one loud beep, every time you pick up the phone, or three loud beeps, every time you pick up the phone. Neither setting will disconnect all of the incoming telemarketers, and there doesn't seem to be anything in the literature to explain which setting is the most effective. It's taken a while, but I've finally gotten used to waiting a second or so before bringing the phone to my ear. It's a simple thing to do, and it beats the heck out of having that B E E P in your ear, every time the phone rings.

I have to tell you, I feel pretty stupid about spending this much money when the phone rings, and it's another sales call, but after six months of use, I have to admit that it seems like there are actually fewer sales calls. I haven't kept count, but I know that I'm finding no one on the line when I answer the phone, a lot more often than I get a salesman on the other end of the line. Does that indicate success? I dunno! How are you going to count the number of calls you DON'T get?

zap the telemarkets off your phone
I have had this for a month. Love it. Have not had any computerized marketers call me. It has been great. I recommend it for anyone. A great gift idea. I plan to purchase it for my familys christmas present. Great for the elderly, they don't have to answer the phone for those darn sales people that they really do not want to talk to anyways.

Uniden TRU5885-2 5.8 GHz
We are writing this review on the Uniden cordless phone

The Good:
We like the 5.8 Ghz because it does not interfere with our 802.11 G Linksys WIFI and because it sounds a lot clearer.
We liked the speed dial feature (Rocketdial) and the distinctive ring tones (very similiar to cell phone features).
It is very easy to use and to program the numbers.
We also liked the answering machine built in that is easy to turn on & off.
We like the ability to transfer calls from the base to the handset without having to go back to the base.

The Bad:
There is no low battery indicator on the handset.
Cannot add no more than 1 additional handset.
It would be nice if the base unit had a built in clock display and the handset would display the time when you are on a call.

What a great phone!!
I recently purchased this phone as a replacement for an older Sony model that I had. What a wise purchase it was. For starters, 5.8 ghz is the latest in cordless phones. The reception is much crisper and clearer the the 900 mhz Sony. The digital answering machine works so well that I cancelled my voice mail. The second handset is so convenient; it has it's own seperate phone book memory, perfect for roomates sharing a single phone line. The ringer tones are pretty cool too, there are 10 different tones to chose from, including Merry Xmas just in time for the holidays, plus you can change the volume of the ringer to ring low or high, which is great for me, since the low volume is low enough to not wake up the kids during their afternoon nap. There is nothing about this phone that I don't like. The price is a little steep compared to some other phones out there, but well worth the price. 5 stars!!

Best cordless phone so far!
I have been waiting to get a new house cordless phone for awhile now because I didn't see anything that caught my eye out there. A few of my friends have panasonic, siemens, and v-tech phones. They all say their ok, but could be better. I like the sony phones, but the handsets do not have speakerphones. Well, I went in the store and as soon as I saw this phone, I had to have it. It looks and feels incredible. I brought it home and started testing it out. It really is a great phone. I love the sound quality and all the features. Everything from distinctive ring, headset speakerphone, caller id,3 way conference, call transfer,100 phone book entries, lighted lcd screen and keypad, speeddial, adjustable headset earpiece volume, speaker volume, base ringer volume, headset ringer volume, auto answer, redial, mute, etc, etc. I love it. Buy this phone if you can. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
