I've been using a tri-star headset at home for several years. I like it so much that now I'm buying a second one to use at work. If you don't like the idea of having a bulky headset or a band that goes across the top of your head, then this headset is perfect for you. It fits right over your ear and is very comfortable, even for those long conference calls.

Voice pickup and sound quality is top-notch. You will need an amplifier of some sort. I've been able to get mine to work with a Cisco IP phone and a Polycom phone with simple adapter cables, so check your phone first to see if it has headset support built in.

Highly recommended!

The Plantronics Tristar headset is the best telephone headset I've found.

Please note that you will need a separate Plantronics amplifier in order to use this headset with your telephone. See Plantronics web-site for your choices. I use the M12 amplifier.

Polycom makes a full range of conference room phones, and the Soundstation Premier is their best phone. If your needs don't justify the price of the best, then consider the plain, old Soundstation (sans Premier). Or if you have special Voice over IP needs, then check out their seperate Soundpoint IP and Soundstation IP product lines.

Are you wondering what makes the Soundstation Premier the best? Let me explain. This system uses any where from 3 to 6 mics; 3 mics are built into the base station, and depending on your configuration you can add 2 extension mics plus a remote mic. What is special is that the unit only uses one mic at a time by sensing which mic is picking up the best sound; this avoids that hollow, echo sounds that you've heard many times before on speakerphone calls.

The system also features noise canceling circuitry, so many background noises are removed. Plus it is expandable with additional mics, a remote lapel mic, and even a remote speaker station. There are other niceities including an LCD display on the base unit, but in my opinion the reason to spend the extra dollars in this unit is the quality of sound. Simply put, it is spectacular.

There are a few different Premier models, each one uses the same basic base unit. The Premier EX is expandable with additional mics, and the Premier is not, so plan accordingly. Select the unit most appropriate for your conference room setting (their web site has very nice guidelines on it). In my experience, the base unit is adequate for most 8-12 person conference rooms, and larger rooms require the extension mics. I have never used the remote lapel mic or the remote speaker setup.

I have tried a variety of cheaper conference room speaker phones but nothing comes anywhere close to the performance of the SoundStation. The sound quality is excellent, there is no distortion and the self directing mics work like a real charm. If you can afford it, just go for this one ... it is well worth the money!

After many tries, I finally found a phone that works really well. Clarity is superb. Range is very good. Going to buy another!

I recently ordered a second Sanyo CLT-968, which is the best testimony I can provide. The speakerphone option in the handset is a wonderful idea and allows the whole family to share in the conversation; my parents love talking to their grandchildren when we're visiting on the phone. The clarity is terrific, I never experience an interruption in the reception if the phone searches for a clearer channel. I like being able to set the loudness of the ringer, as well as the ring type. The durability has been excellent. I only wish Sanyo would make one with an answering machine so I could replace my other cordless!

Standing a magestic 11" tall, this phone is fun, functional and an great additional to any fun-loving person's household. Want drama, keep the ringer on affects, and you get a moving head that lights up and lots of great Star Wars sounds, or you can turn it to a normal ring. Well constructed and attractive, I love this phone and think anyone who purchases it will not only be glad for the conversation piece they now have, but will realize this is also a collector's item that will increase in value.

This is the first time I've ever ordered anything on-line, and I was happily surprised to find this adorable Minnie phone arrive quickly and looking exactly like it did in the picture. I would most definately order from this company again. They were terrific!

This phone works great, and looks cute to. The only thing that disapointed me was that it was plastic, but it is still a great phone. There is a volume control on the phone, and it is easy to adjust the volume. I would deffinitly recomend this phone to any disney lover!

Telemarketing calls have been a source of much annoyance for many people, and have proliferated in recent years. Despite many efforts to opt out, I was still getting unwanted calls. Frustrated, I looked around for screening devices and was not satisfied with any because they would either still require me to hear the phone ringing and pick it up, or would not work well with extension phones.

I was pleased when I found TriVOX -- it does exactly what I desired. Not only does it block unwanted calls, it also allows me and my roommate to have different extension numbers (much like a small PBX). [Note: each extension number requires on TriVOX box.] A regular answering machine (called the "auto-attendant") is used to prompt the caller to dial an extension number or leave a message if s/he does not know one. When a valid extension number is dialed, only the phone(s) that are connected to the box programmed with the number will ring. Otherwise, the answering machine will allow the caller to leave a message, and the phones won't even ring.

There is a small problem with these devices: sometimes they fail to pick up even when a valid extension number is dialed. I think this happened when the outgoing greeting of the answering machine is too loud, interfering with the devices' detection of the touch-tones. I re-recorded the outgoing greeting with a lower volume, and the problem was solved.

Oh - I also had some fun with the outgoing greeting. I used a text-to-speech engine to generate a message spoken by a robot, so I didn't have to make many attempts of myself speaking to have just the right sound level.

I have been using Avinta's Trivox for about 2+ years and love it. I have 7 units throughout my 2 story house (plus a basement). I no longer have to scream for my kids to get the phone and I don't interrupt anyone when I open the phone and someone is using the line. Let me explain... you put a Trivox any place you want to transfer calls to and from and connect a regular phone or wireless phone (any brand) to it. You assign each box a number ( I used #11 for the basement, 21 kitchen... 31, 32, 33 for each bedroom, etc). When a call is received I can transfer the call to any other box, or have the call ring in all of them (#99). I can even use them as intercomms (no outside call is required to ring any extension). If the line is busy - the interrupting party hears three tones - the other people on the line will hear only one tone - thus knowing they will be interrupted if required (I normally hang up and don't interrupt once I hear the three tones)

Avinta has other uses but the best one is the one that avoids any phone calls to ring next to my bed. If I'm sleeping I don't want any telemarketing nor any calls to ring next to my bed. Only someone inside my house can ring my extension!!!

It's the greatest phone product since slice bread. I saved a ton of money versus having to buy a PBX system with their non-standard expensive phones per each extension.

BTW I can have my computer answer its extension and patch my phone call via the internet for free!

You know, one day all phones will have their technology built inside!

Got this mickey mouse webcam for only several bucks when it came with a $40 rebate several months ago. Very satisfied. Clear, sharp images. A+!

This is a great webcam. I bought it with Christmas money at Circuit City, and it came with a rebate. I've had it since the day after Christmas - and not only is it cute, but it's got great quality. The internet video "conferencing" is clear - though not perfect, it's about the best you can get for under a hundred - which is still great. Everyone I webcam chat with online commends on how great my cam is, and the still-pictures it takes are surprisingly good. It also takes several seconds of video (which I've mostly used on my sleeping cat), which is nice. It doesn't disattach from the computer, so you're limited to as far as the cord can reach. I have frontal USB ports on my computer, and the cord is long enough that it reaches across a little more than half of my bedroom. I have it on the monitor, and the stand is very cute as well. To adjust it, there's a long slot at the bottom of the cam and a peg on the stand - so you can slide it up and down or back and forth as you please. I've been waiting to get a cam for a long time, as my boyfriend lives long-distance - and I'm totally satisfied with this one. My friends have webcams that were the same price or more, but terribly less quality. Also, it comes with the cutest and most creative photo software I've seen. It's not for serious photo editing, but rather fun editing (you can add animated borders, scenes, characters, etc). My friend and I sat here for hours when I first got it playing with the program. Overall a great cam - I recommend it to anyone who wants one and isn't bothered by Mickey Mouse on their monitor.

I bought this product because I cannot be with family overseas. I bought direct from Vialta, and split my shipment, one to me (Chicago), and one to Philippines (Cebu).

I called my sister I was able to see her on the telephone, I almost cried, I have not seen her in over 4 years!

We later tried sending photos. I loaded my Compact Flash card into the Beamer, and tramitted these pictures without any problem.

When the phone was delivered it was very exciting for me I have never owned a cordless phone in my life. I really liked walking around the house while I talked.When I first looked at the reviews on the internet one girl said "the phone is great but there is one problem the instructions never said you had to call your phone company to setup the caller id" well the girl is wrong. When I had setup my phone I had my brother call the phone's phone number the caller id worked by itself without the phone company having to come and setup the caller id. So there is nothing wrong with the phone. MY OPINION IS YOU REALLY SHOULD BUY THIS PHONE!

This phone is the best I can hear all of my friendz loud and clear! It is a cool color it has call waiting so that if I don't want to talk to someone I don't have to not answer it wondering who it is.It has a long distance so that you can walk and talk.and it has caller id so if you old or young this phone is the bomb!
