good phone
Can't ask for moreUpon using the phone, I was extremely happy with the 20 number scroll memory list, the easy-to-use digital answering machine, the remote message retreival, and the speakerphone, not to mention the clarity of calls, the range, and the Caller ID on Call Waiting (the most handy feature on ANY phone), and distinctive ring compatibility.
I've read some of the other reviews people are writing, and I agree that noone should pay ANY money for a phone that echos, is too quiet, etc. I've never had those problems with this phone. My calls have always been clear. I'm able to walk almost a block away without losing a call or a call becoming the least bit staticy. There is a volume control that ranges from quiet to loud enough that you can hold the phone away from your ear and still hear every word. There is also a volume control for the answering machine (which, if turned all the way up, can be heard across our house). The page feature is a good one for those of us who lose EVERYTHING (including our keys). I have also had no problem with echos or hearing other's calls.
Although it's not recommended, I have the phone right next to our DSL modem/computer, with a filter on it (I don't understand how you could use a phone WITHOUT one since DSL runs through and parallel to your phone line), and have had no problems with static.
Frankly the ONLY downside I think this phone has is the lack of keypad on the base of the phone for speakerphone dialing. Other than that this phone has worked PERFECTLY.
By far the best phone I've owned

please help! season7780@yahoo.com
Thank You~!
I works fine on my computer, and the colors are also fine!If you see some redish or blueish color-shift, you possibly
need a differentlighting as I did, say a white-light
illumination.

A classic in the makingThe quality of the voice on handset and the speakerphone was outstanding. Very elegant design without extraneous or garish buttons. Very easy to use. Here a few of the flaws which I hope will be fixed in a future edition, because this is greazt phone.
The inconvenient call back that doesn't autmatically add a 1 for long distance that was mentioned below, although the redial works nicely.
No remote monitoring feature for the answering machine which could easily have been added and has been around for years and is great if you want to listen in on your apartment while you're away.
No time display which other phones have. ALso no elapsed duration of calls which would have been easy to add.
Although the handsets are beatiful and have nice weight, rather anoyingly there was no way to turn them off without removing the battery. THe off switch is a misnomer as all it it does is hang up the phone. The phone stays on constantly comunicating with the base.
THis brings me to the most serious problem. THe base is always in touch with the handsets constantly sending out a barrage of microwave radiation unecesairly. It would be far better if the base just waits to be contacted by a handset or only when an incoming call is sent. Even if you yank the battery form the handset, the base still tries to find it sending out nonstop microwaves. This is pointless and proabbly only offer minor speed efficiency which is given up in the loss of battery power.
Nice features are the distanceis awesome as is th4e sound quality. There is a also a spare battery charger in the base which doubles as a power failure back up. The ability top record 4 minutes of conversation. Easy to use directory and call history.
I hope the y keep the phone exactly the way it is but add these features.
no complaints

Good looks; bad phone
Good phone for the moneyOnto critiqueing the comments that I have read. I must be the lucky one in that I had not had any battery issues whatsoever. In fact, after the battery has been charged in the cradle, I don't usually return the handset back until the battery gets low (as recommended in the manual) and have about 1 week of off/on use as the result. What I must agree is a little annoying is the fact that the answering machine has an LCD message indicator that isn't backlit and this makes for a tough time quickly seeing whether you have had messages. But, looking at the handset periodicaly can assist or STARING at the message indicator (not that bad though).
Overall, I'd recommend the phone

Looks Great but Does it work?Answering machines have to do two things: record messages and play them back. This one does record messages and it does play them back -- at least I think that is what it recorded. The sound quality is so bad the messages are almost impossible to decipher. After 6 months of wanting to rip it from the wall, I finally did just that and tossed it in the garbage. I replaced it with an AT&T version and I couldn't be happier. If it is cute you want, cut out the picture and hang it over your phone. It'll work about as well as the real item.
Total Waste of Money.I got the first one shipped and the battery compartment
screw had a blunt head. Returned it for a new one.
Volume control know kept having loose contact and would
break the voice, and had to keep jiggling it.
Finally, after 3 months, One day, went dead. No CPR
nothing would help. I thought I should give a newbie
a try. I am going back to panasonic and the sony's. I know
they may have issues, or a hickup here and there. But to
go totally dead on you.
I am amazed Amazon carries this Piece of S***.
Save yourself the trouble. Ditch it.

Poor software
Aiptek Mini Pencam 1.3
Nifty little gadget! On the down side, however, it's only good for bright light conditions, high-contrast photos sometimes suffer from aliasing (pixelated edges), the video feature is near-useless, 2 AAA batteries rarely last more than a week, and worst of all, there are no Apple drivers, so I need to do my photo transfers through VirtualPC on my iBook.
this is a sweet deal on a fairly good mini-camera. I've been using it for art photos on my photolog, and I'm quite happy with the output, and the fact that I can take quick, discreet pictures without attracting too much notice is icing on the cake. :)

- Virtual operator
- Station voice mail and 6 selectable outgoing greetings

Great Features but UnusableThe drawback is simply the sound quality. For a phone with such great potential, Casio should have put a little more work into this "small" detail.
While on the handset the volume was always too low no matter how high you had the volume. The speakerphone was useless. There is an additional jack (rj-11) for a headset however it was geared for the older style headsets which are expensive...
More importantly, while using this phone I was always asked to speak up by the party on the other end.
If you don't mind lacking sound quality in your phone system then this may be a good purchase. For me I would choose to go with a system with fewer features rather than not be heard.

A very mediocre phone...The phone is heavier then I thought it would be (Maybe all 900MHZ phone are, my old cordless was analog) and it's not very comfortable when holding it with your shoulder and no hands.
I live in a relatively small apartment and was surprised that when I went to another room (maybe 50 feet away) the calls would cut out! And this is why a bought a 900 mhz digital phone!
Finally, a complaint would be the apparent inability to program the numbers into memory alphanumerically. In other words, I have to scan through a list of phone numbers, instead of seeing, "Mom and Dad", "Office", etc.
I probably would have sent it back, but unfortunately, I tossed the box, so I guess I'll live with it.
Best Clarity I've Ever Heard; Zero Interference; Good Value. After using the 1920 for a couple of weeks I liked it so much I purchased another for the office. There we have multiple cordless phones and we move around the building with our phones in hand. I've never had a problem with interference or cut-out. I've gone all the way outside the building into a back alley before the thing stopped transmitting, so being realistic about its capabilities, I'd say that's more than satisfactory.
The design is simple and sleek. The base unit is unobtrusive. The handset unit looks as if it is fashioned after most smaller cellular type phones, very straight and a broad gripping area for holding it in your hand.
It has volume control built into the side of the handset so that if someone is shouting at the other end you can lower volume without missing the conversation. It has various ringer settings that allow you to control tone/pitch of the ring. This is nice to have when you want more quiet time around the house.
Drawbacks are few from my perspective. I did experience the sensation of hitting a punchkey when talking to someone -- at first, but then I learned that this thing isn't like the older phones that required a person to have the receiver right on the ear and mouthpiece IN your mouth; again, it's a lot like a cellular in that regard. Just back-off the handset.
I've never had problems the handset since. It just takes a hand to hold it (not a shoulder-- that's difficult because it is so flat of a design).
Finally, at work I have the base unit hung on the wall near my desk and I do find it difficult to cradle its handset onto the charger once in a while. No problem if you're taking your time.
The battery life I haven't tested but so far so good.
Great Product
