OK Setup at a nice price

Bought one of these units several months ago, and the only problem I found is the low quality earpiece and microphone. I would recommend ditching them as soon as you get the unit and going with a higher quality set to plug into the base. Other than that, the price is certainly right.

Setup comes with batteries, base, and headset, but it does accept standard size 3.5mm stereo earphone and microphone jacks. There is also a 9V AC adapter jack on the back if you want to add a universal AC adapter for constant power.

Good value- some quirks that may or may not bother you

All features worked well, but I found it noisier than my 900MHz phone (a common complaint for 2.4GHz phones). The phone/hangup switch is kind of easy to press on your face when talking, and it only accepts 10-digit numbers in the phone book (might be a problem with your carrier, might not). Also, can't adjust ring volume for base- its either loud or off. Again, might not be a problem if your normally keep a handset in the area of the base. Good recording/playback quality.

Great phone /Not so great features

I have had this phone for about a month now.
Pros:
No stactic
Can go to the parking lot w/ no interruptions
Can down load ringtones like cell phone for your ringer.
Easy to use menu
Clear caller ID screen
Speaker phone is clear, callers can't tell that U are
on it.

Cons:
The talking caller Id is horrible. It doesn't pronounce
the names correct.
The names are not announce until after the second ring.
The voice enchancer has an echo

Overall I like the phone. A couple of years ago I had a phone from ameritech that let U record your voice for the voice announcer. That is what panasonic should do with this phone.

Mildly disappointed

My older Panasonic was a champ, and I especially liked the LONG shelf life - rarely needed recharging.

My new one works fine but the sound is kinda noisy and not really clear. Defective? I don't know. It works just well enough that I probably won't bother to return it.

Wish it was better.

Just so you know, this product connects to the cigarette lighter adapter in your car. It is not a plug-in (to the wall) charger. I bought this item (at such a great price), but now I'm stuck returning it. It is a fine product, if you're looking for a car-charger, though.

GOOD VALUE FOR THE PRICE

I found the unit to be everything that it was advertised to be. The set-up was easy and very self-explanatory.

Though the sound quality was not perfect, it was clear and acceptable. I, especially, like the remote options. Also, checking your messages is a breeze.

As I stated, the machine is a good value, and I would recommend it if you are looking for an inexpensive answering machine that is reliable and easy to use.

Decent features, bad sound

I sort of expected 2.4 GHz would be better than 900 MHz (bigger number and all) but it's not the case with this phone. My old Southwestern Bell 900 MHz analog phone sounds *a lot* clearer than this phone. Every time I speak it creates a kind of aura of static to my ear, wrapped around my voice...the other party has been able to hear me fine, though. Otherwise has a nice VIP caller feature, but I'm returning it. Are all 2.4 GHz phones so disappointing?

Very cool for michael jordan lovers only

When the phone rings, the basketball opens up, and you see a staduim with fans. The music starts and the announcer annouces michael jordan.
Its pretty cool the first few times, then its gets annoying to hear the music everytime the phone rings.
There is a button that you can press to start the show intsead of having it work with the telephone.
In the model we got, the picture shows the scoreboard lighting up, but we can't get it to work.
