I just bought this phone, It is just GREAT. Very sturdy high quality components NOT expected from a ... company like GE!!

This device is light as can be and the clarity is exceptional. I strongly recommend it whether for driving or normal talking.

I have 2 remotes, a caller ID, a portable CD player, and a mini-disc player that all take AA batteries. It is nice to have extra batteries around it something isn't working right and it I get some new electronic contraption. These are great because they last forever.

Monster Cable does it again by making a product better. This cable increased my DSL speed so much, that I felt like I did when I first got DSL. Your ping time decreases (good thing), and the transfer effiency increases. I wish I would have known about this a long time ago... Then I wouldn't have gotten beat up on Quake 3 so much. But now I have the lowest ping, and I frag people before they even see me coming. Thanks Monster Cable.

Well, if you have a hunter in your house...liven things up for him or her. Don't tell them you bought this, cut the ringer to "Elk" or "Bear" and have someone call about 3 AM...have your camcorder ready!!! This phone is great! My kids love the different "animal" rings and it does create a little variety in daily incoming phone calls. Although, it's hard to adjust to knowing when you hear the "Turkey" it means you need to answer the phone. Great conversation piece. Only the base makes sounds...not the handset. The handset will only ring....when off the base. When on the base....you get "ducks, coyotes, geese, owls, cougars, etc." (Base makes sounds even when handset is somewhere else) Or you can set it to a normal ring. Enjoy! Perfect for b-days and x-mas!

I am really impressed how the weather forecast feature REALLY works ! I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and bought one of these for my father - who is an engineer. He LOVES it ! Will buy another one for myself next time I go to the US !

The main reason I purchased this phone was to replace my Panasonic 2.4 GHz phone which interfered with my 802.11g wireless network. When the 2.4 GHz phone would ring or when we would talk on it, it would disconnect my laptop's wireless Internet connection.

It seems there are very few phones that are "true" 5.8 GHz models. Most AT&T, GE, Uniden and VTECH 5.8 GHz cordless phones utilize 5.8 GHz transmission from the base station to the handset and then 2.4 GHz from the handset to the base station. Not sure why except that it must be cheaper. In any case, this means that most 5.8 GHz phones may still potentially interfere with an 802.11g network.

The Panasonic KX-TG5200M uses 5.8 GHz transmissions in both directions, is packed with features (caller ID on the handset, softkey for one-touch dialing to voicemail, speakerphone on handset) and is reasonably priced. It also allows for up to four expansion handsets. Make sure you buy the expandable base before you buy the expansion handsets as the latter won't work without the former.

Call clarity has been great and there are no longer interference issues with my 802.11g network.

I'll likely give my four-year old 2.4 GHz phone to a friend or relative as it still works fine.

I have been using this phone for over a year now (actually, mine has a display which records the time spent during a given conversation.) I have been very satisfied with its overall performance. The sound is clear and the volume settings for both the handset and speakerphone work flawlessly. I definitely recommend it!
