Winging its way back to the shop
just as soon as I have time to call. Charged it as expected, made one phone call on it, and it hasn't worked since. Tried plugging it in again, but life's too short. I certainly didn't love the too-small, brushed-aluminum handset enough to want to keep it.

Not so good
I returned this phone one day after I bought it. Because every time I picked up the phone, I can hear a loud hum backgroud noise. I have one other cordless(900mhz) and two cord phones. None of them has this problem.

Better try it before you buy!

Another Quality V- Tech Phone
I had owned a V-Tech phone and when it needed a new battery I wanted to purchase a new one. The phone wasn't being made anymore and all of the parts were being discontinued. I decided to buy a new phone, being this one. This phone is super easy to install. Just put the battery in the receiver and plug the phone into a power outlet. Let the phone charge overnight and the next morning you can plug the phone into the jack and you have a brand new V- Tech telephone.

The quality, as with all V- Tech phones, cannot be beat. You hear the other party over this phone crisp clear and the quality that went into the making of this telephone shows. This cordless phone is ideal for an extra phone around your house. It is affordable and the quality cannot be beat. This is a telephone that will last for many years. I highly recommend this telephone to anybody that is in need of a great phone.

Not a good phone
The sound quality was really poor, worse than Panasonic KX-TGA2224, which in turn is worse than GE 27998GE6, which is good, but not as good as those SONYs they have sadly stopped making (yes, I personally have tried all of these). There is a reason they are putting the price down. These things, if they sell, they get returned (like I am doing).

good performance at a fair price.
This is my first 2.4 Ghz phone and so far it has worked well. It doesn't sound any better or worse than my 900 Mhz Panasonic phone and the range is comparable as well. The only annoying thing I have found is that you have to set the clock on both the handset as well as the answering machine and the clock setting is not retained by the answering machine if it loses power, while the handset does retain this data. The price is very competitive with other brands, but if you are on a tight budget, a 900 Mhz phone is probably sufficient and cheaper.

There is a very big flaw in this product
I got my AT&T Caller ID model 326 about a month ago, and i've had to change the batteries 2 times already!!! That is rediculous. It takes 3 AAA batteries (not 2 AA batteries like it says in the description). And yes, i did buy brand new batteries both times ;) This Caller ID box would be great if the batteries lasted longer. The other review for this product says that it "lights up when the phone rings" which is false. I think this guy was talking about a different caller ID box. Mine looks exactly like the picture up there.

Not Bad
This cli device works with mostly all the lines, except with some pabx exchanges that dosent support cli. The device is small and has the basic features like looking up and down through the list of the calls and a button to delete the calls.

The good thing is that it has a light on it which lights up when a new call is received.

Overall its a good device in this price tag, as others are expensive.

Marginal Performer
This phone performed marginally for me so I sent it back. The handset began to fade in and out just a few yards from the base unit. It was unusable out in my back yard. Additionally, the voice pumped annoyingly while talking. There are much better cordless phones out there. I have an old 900Mhz Uniden that performs much better used in the same area of my home.

Good performer
I got this phone to replace a 900 MHz unit that died. Generally, I am pleased with the performance. I've taken it several houses away, with good results. My only real complaint is that it cannot be used when the microwave oven is on. I do not know if this is a problem with all 2.4 GHz phones.

Don't Buy More Than 1
Before I purchased the units I called ttsystems the distributor to make sure there would be no compatability issues using more than 1 unit. I needed 5 but chose to buy just 3 in case there was a problem and there was. They do not display Call Waiting ID because all 3 are trying to send the siganls back to the switching station at the phone company at the same time, a problem that I was afraid of but was told by ttsystems did not exist. My phone service is provided by Verizon and is about as industry standard as you can get. The Call Back feature also does not work with multiple units. If you need Call Waiting Caller ID Displays and you need more than one this is DEFINITELY NOT the unit for you.

Big Display Caller ID -- Easiest To Read
This is a one of a kind product (in its price range). It is the easiest caller ID display to read ever, with digits over 1/2" high, on a grey (not green) background. Contrast is not adjustable.

It comes with an a/c adapter, so no batteries are needed (unlike the other model [BE50LD] offered here without an a/c adapter, and possibly without call waiting caller ID).

On the annoying side: The red flashing call light on the top of the unit is absolutely annoying, so I covered it with a piece of aluminum foil. The built in clock doesn't keep proper time. It does, however, refresh itself periodically when a call comes in. And, a second unit I purchased for a friend was defective out of the box, with only part of the second line of text visible (some LCD segments did not "light up").

All in all, a great display for people who hate to have to squint at their smaller caller ID display on their phones or older boxes. One easy glance with this unit tells you who is calling.

Don't bother...
I owned two of these phone and both had problems with the answering machine within the first month. Both phones went back to the store. The outgoing message would play for a second or two and then cut off, leaving the caller with the inability to leave a message. The phone was comfortable to use, although there are much better choices out there.

GE 2.4 Cordless Answering System
Only problem I find is that the bottom of the handset gets warm and don't know why. WIll be calling target to see why this may be happening since I used their own battery to charge system. I just purchased this 1 week ago and am still having the same problem.

Progressive scan
The progressive scan is software configured ( through the remote) and only works through the component video output section of the player. It will not run through the s-video output. If you wish to use it as a regular player through the s-video then it's ok but you may wish to pay the extra bucks for one that outputs to a variety of outputs.

KOSS DVD PLAYERS
DON'T BUY IT! I bought a KOSS DVD player and it broke in 6 months. I was told I was out of luck because the warranty is only 90 days. They do not do repairs. My only option is to buy a new one and wasn't even offered a discounted price for it. I have seen several complaints like mine about KOSS on the web. They make JUNK and they make it to last just to get past the warranty period and then it breaks. Oh, by the way I loved it until it broke.

Horrible
I ignored the first message. Noone can understand our message when they call no mater what we do. I didn't believe an organization could really not know how to make the basic functions work but I was wrong. Our's still hasn't stoped flashing. I am returning it.

This is a Satan machine!
I have had a very, very cranky answering machine but this one isn't worth two cents! When I first got it, the light woudn't stop blinking, and now it won't start! And it would cut off every single message I got before I heard three words! Believe me, they should discontinue this machine IMMEDIATELY!

too cool!
i just got this and am already in love with it. if you aren't ready to deal with the advanced features, just pull it out of the box and plug it in and it answers the phone. when you get ready to customize the setup, read the manual; the setup is more complex than a simple one mailbox, one ogm machine, but i didn't have a bit of problem with it. i would have liked to have individual ogms for each mailbox, but other than that, it is exactly what i wanted.

it stunk!
I got this phone for christmas a few years ago and it was great then. now it doesnt hold a charge for longer than an a few hours and you cannot put it next to a laptop due to its only 2.4 ghz wil mess up a wireless connection. do not buy this phone if you are putting it next tp a wireless conection router or if you forget to put a phone back on the charger.

"A Review of the Above Review"
The rewiew of the VTech VT-040-9111 by Jefferey Tam was completely useless and should not have been printed.

The "BEST PHONE" ever made!!!!
If you are looking for a easy and affordable phone to use, then I will prefer this one. This is the newest model for VTECH. The color looks so nice and attractive. The VTECH phone I had was not as good as this one. I think all VTECH phones look nice, but this is my favortie one of all. I love this phone so much. This phone is so fun and easy to use my whole family likes it. This phone is so easy to use that my 79 year old Grandma knows how to use it well. I'm telling you this phone is great not just for you, but also your family. So buy it!!!!!
