Mine died too
It's interesting that my phone died too, after having it about 1 1/2 years or so. It just stopped working, so i bought a new battery, which didn't help. Clearly I'm not the only one with this problem. I guess it's time to throw it into the landfill with all the other junk America uses up.....

Good Phone for a Short Time
I, too, was happy with the phone for about a year--then like the other reviewers--the phone just died. Unfortunately, I was not as smart as some of the others, I actually purchased a new battery--bad move! The phone is just as dead

Works well, but eventually breaks
I actually really enjoyed this phone...for the money, it seemed a decent spend. But just short of its two year birthday it suddenly died. Not a slow fading of the battery, but completely gone. I thought I might try a new battery, except I can get a new phone for just a few bucks more.

What a piece of JUNK!
For starters the phone does NOT fit a standard wall mount. I never received the setup program for the Caller ID system once the batteries were inserted and of course the service never worked. Don't waste your time or your money.

phone is ok, but no power-batteries not included
Not only is it cheap, but it doesn't come with any batteries. Then if you want to get power to it without batteries, you have to buy a ac adapter that costs twice as much as the phone.

Adequate is a good description
No problems with the phone but if you're buying it for the LCD display, make sure you use the phone in a well-lit place. I got it for bedside use ... but need a flashlight to see who's calling at night. I had guessed wrong that since the phone is powered it would have have enough light ... wrong assumption. Lesson learned for all LCD products: Check whether they are backlit before buying.

Will now search for a phone that has backlit LCD and a lighted keypad.

SONY SPPA946 IS A TERRIBLE PHONE
I have had three of these phones brought to me for repair because the charging circuit goes bad and drains the battery.

Decent buy for the price
Much cheaper than other Sony machine. Works fine -- then again, I wasn't looking for anything fancy. Don't have problems with the speakerphone or message recording as the others did. I like the dual keypads.

Best Phone For Price
There is no other Phone with all these great features
for this Price. I paid only $... with a $5.00 Amazon Coupon!
I have seen this phone advertised for $70.00
at the WIZ the same day I purchased it from AMAZON.

The Sound Quality of the phone is loud and clear.
However, since this phone has 3 Mailboxes it's a little difficult learning how to retrieve your mesages from another phone. Other than that this phone is a great deal!

Worked well for about 2 years
Bought this product 4 years ago and it worked fine for about two years. First problem: no longer could control the volume, second problem: a "sticky" talk button which slowly changed into the third problem: a "stuck" talk button. Couldn't use the phone after that.

Barely a 2
Same problem with buttons after ~1yr. Has a great appetite for batteries. Radio Junk batteries seem the worst-approx. 30 da.

I like this Sony cordless phone!
I bought this exact phone 5 years ago, refurbished. We have used it every day since and have had to buy only 1 replacement battery. The sound and reception quality are very good. After 5 years of everyday use by 2 teenager girls this phone works great.

This Phone Sucks!!
I would never recommend this phone to anyone. You cannot hear the other person speaking even with the volume up to maximum. The caller id screen does not show you who is calling when it is through your call waiting. It only shows the number when it is the first original call. Lots of static and pops while you are talking even when you change channels and are right by the base. Consumer reports gave this phone a great rating--what were they thinking??

This phone is crap - they should have a NO STAR RATING
I bought this phone for a gift. It is horrible. It pops and has major static problems, even if you are close to the base. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!

No problems
I really like this phone. I've had it for 2 years and have had no problems. I am purchasing one for a friend as a gift.

This phone is typical of modern electronics
I would not recommend this product to anyone who doesn't want to have to buy another phone within 18 months. Less than 4 months after the warranty ran out on my phone, it died and has been unrevivable for the past three weeks.

Please note that I have followed all of the recommendations of the VTech website and telephone support lines. The only thing that I have yet to do is actually request a repair. No doubt repairing this phone will be more arduous and just as expensive as buying a new phone.

keep looking
I liked a friend of mine's VTECH 900 mhz phone years ago, so I bought one (the 9060i). Problem is: static and chatter sometimes, even when fully charged; even when I push the "channel" button. I live in a dense neighborhood, so maybe that's the problem. Maybe it will work for you if you live on a farm (unless your livestock have cells, so to speak)... You could buy a better phone for less.

Great Phone, No Problems
I live in a suburban apartment complex, and for me, this phone is phone-omenal. Clear as a bell, can walk to the mailbox with it (500 feet), lasts for 2+ days under light use condition between charges. Answering machine is very functional, I very much enjoy this phone.

Do not buy a northwestern bell phone
I had my last phone for 40 years and due to remodling I purchased a NWB phone and it lasted 5 months. You can't get through to their help line most of the time and twice I left my phone number to receive a call back and received none. They do not answer their e-mail either. These pnones are junk. BEWARE!

Poor at Best
Cannot read the LCD display ... not lit ... bad angle ... have to tilt to see

Can't see the time in the dark!
Phone looks good and works well, but one major feature is missing! There is no backlit display! You can't see the time or the caller ID in the dark. I'm sending it back.

Cannot recommend it
After less than one year, I am shopping for a new phone. The handset does not work anymore. I replaced the battery thinking that was the problem but it wasn't. When I click on one of the lines, there is either no sound at all, no dial-tone or anything OR it is just static and fuzz.

I hope my next phone lasts longer than this one did!

Not a good desk phone!
I bought this phone with the intention of using it in my home office. The caller-id function is very important to me. Unfortunately, the phone lays to flat for you to see the caller-id display or read the keypad. Also, speakerphone volume is really loud, even when turned all the way down. I am taking this phone back.

Great phone except for one problem
This is a great phone. It had all the features I was looking for -- 2 lines, conf, call waiting, call id, transfer, mute, headset jacks, volume, ringer on/off. The only problem is that you cannot turn off the ringer on the handset. If your talking on one line and another call comes through on the other, it rings loudly in your ear. I called Tech Support and you cannot turn this off -- only to hi or low volume (and 'low' isn't that low). If it weren't for this, I'd recommend it highly.

Clock Radio Review
The radio is TOO loud when it comes on. The radio is hard to tuen. The clock face is too bright in the dark and the caller ID is hard to see. This is not a very good buy.

You get less than what you pay for!
Unfortunately, when I bought this phone, I got less than what I paid for... There are no bargains or good deals with this phone..
--==THE BAD==-- ** The radio dial tunes very badly ** The caller ID is very difficult to see and poorly lit ** The handset cord is only 12 inches long coiled up and if streched more than 18 inches you will pull the base from whatever you have it sitting on ** the phone cord that plugs into the wall is permanently attached to the base set and can not be switched for a longer one, this is not good if your phone jack is more than 2 feet away, you would have to buy an adapter to extend the cord ** The worst thing about this is the fact that you can hear music from the radio bleeding into the phone line, the radio and alarm are OFF, this is very annoying, I could live with the other short comings, but this is the worst thing about this, if anyone knows how to solve this issue please send me an email
++==THE GOOD==++ ** I Like the bright display, even dim is very bright ** I like the oversized snooze button **

Clock Radio review
Even on the dimmer of the two settings this clock's face generates enough light to read a book by. I found myself strategically positioning objects in front of it at night to block the insomnia-producing rays.

Also the button lay out is very confusing. I still have to take a long look at it to figure out how to set the alarm time. Not an easy alarm clock to operate.

do not buy this phone
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. Its a complete piece of junk. seriously. we've had it for less than a year, and the display has stopped working almost entirely (only the bottom part of the letters display), it has alot of static, battery doesnt last long, and functions not easy to use.

Wimpy
Phone still works...except the LCD, can't use it when the microwaves on...always searching for a new channel so sometimes it just drops you off...last time I buy this make of phone!

Great Phone
It works great for me. The design is nice. Reception is very good anywhere in my house. Never had any problem with it.
