good & badceased to function. Presently, I am looking for a replacement.
Very Discouraged w/ PerformanceMy sense is that the "cordless" aspect of the phone (900 MHz DSS) works quite well.
It is everything else about the phone that stinks!
1) The acoustics on the phone are awful. The speaker sounds awful, and the microphone is incredibly tinny. I would expect better performance from a $...phone. Also, the location of the mic (microphone) is quite poor. When friends & relatives call, they all comment on how poor we sound (using the Uniden 3965).
2) There is a huge time delay when picking up the phone before the phone becomes active. We will be saying "Hello Hello", while the caller can't hear us. Once or twice, the caller has inadvertently hung up.
3) Lots of other small anoyances. For example, it has the num pad on the base unit (nice for using using voice-mail). However, if one selects this key pad, then all audio goes through the base unit and not the head set. Pretty poorly designed!
I would have returned this to Amazon if I had not exceeded the 30 day limit (I had procastinated setting it up). My loss!
Great PhoneWe've had no complaints at all with this telephone. It features different types of rings so I can always tell when it's my mother calling me. And the speakerphone feature is awesome. Clear and clean. Folks on the other end of course know you're on speakerphone but it cuts back and forth between their conversation and yours very easily.

The WORST Phone EVERI never realized how bad it could be until my daughter swallowed some day glow liquid from one of the silly party bracelets. In calling our doctor, local ER and Poison Control Center, I was so frustrated that I couldn't hear anything they said (the static is so bad). To complicate matters, the dialing is so slow that it added to the stress. Thank G-d for cell phones!!!
Do not buy this phone, because you will never know in an emergency if it will perform.
A Horrible Phone
nice little 2 line cordlessBecause of the mixed reviews here, I was wary - and bought this under the Radio Shack label so I could easily return to my local store if I had any problems...
BUT it's a nice phone. No problems.
One feature not mentioned in the "editorial" is that you can store NAMES and numbers in the handset memory/speed-dial and scroll through to select - just like most cell phones.

- Caller ID/call waiting with 30 caller ID memory locations
- Your choice of English or French menu prompts
- Desk or wall mountable, hearing aid compatible
- Stylish charcoal, face-up design

UnreliableReplaced it with a cheap AT&T unit today.
Don't buy it

The worst design of a phone
Like the idea behind the phone but not this one
No luckI do like the headset feature, which allows me to wander the house and do stuff with my hands while I'm yakking away, but the belt clip is a mystery. It's hinged, so that it just flips out of my belt or whatever. I have to be sure to wear a shirt with a chest pocket if I really want to be hands-free. The headset offers good sound, both to me and my callers.
I should note that this is my first cordless phone and it's possible that the problems mentioned above are to do with my environment and not the phone, but I find that hard to believe.
Maybe after I replace this thing I can come back and say.

- Caller ID/call waiting, 64-call memory
- Large 3-line LCD, lighted keypad
- 10 speed dial presets, new-call LED

Decent phone (forgot to mention)
Decent phone
2. A battery backup would probably be more worthwhile than than the handset spare battery charger feature. Every time the power glitches here (frequently) it loses its settings. Haven't had it working long enough to tell whether it loses its messages when this happens, but I suppose it does. The manual doesn't say one way or the other.
3. Mine (1 wk old) has started talking Mickey Mouse and I can't understand what it's saying when selecting functions any more.
Overall I am totally disillusioned this AT&T product and I certainly would NOT recommend it to anyone.
