There's nothing "universal" about this product. It'll split lightweight stuff like cell phones, but don't trust anything more demanding than that with this splitter. I hooked my laptop up through it and the fuse blew within one second. Sadly, I'd bought four of these since shipping cost as much as the item itself, and ALL FOUR died when I tried them with my laptop. The back of the package says not to use items that use over a total of 10amps, which seemed reasonable, so I got out my ammeter and figured out that my laptop used 6amps at most, so not only is this busted, but they lie on the package. I managed to open up the splitter and put in some more heavy duty wiring and a stronger fuse, and then it worked for a short time until I started smelling plastic melting -- it turns out even one of the springs inside couldn't handle 6amps and heated up enough to disfigure and melt plastic around it. I give this item two stars only because you might want to plug in two cell phones simultaneously. For anything else, beware!

I was satisfied with the purchase when I first got it. This clock/radio/CD player is slim and looks sophicated. I like how it's compact and not heavy to move around. The CD player works alright, but the sound quality of the radio is pretty poor. No matter how I turn the manual AM/FM tuning dial, I can't seem to turn to the radio station I want. Sometimes, there's a hiss sound, which can be annoying. I didn't have this product long enough to find out how the telephone works, because I'm returning it!

I cheaped out and got this answering machine for [$$] as a temporary until I got a better phone/answering machine. Boy, I guess price really does count. The look is ok, although big for a digital machine. It was easy to hook up. The machine has scarce features, which is expected in a low-end model. It has a blinking indicator to let you know that either you have messages or that your battery is low; it's up to you to determine which. It doesn't have a way to erase messages... they get erased when another message records over them. Not so great if you have something on your machine that you don't want someone you live with to listen to. Finally, the big whammy..... sound quality. It was horrible. It made me sound like I was in a fuzzy tin can. It went straight back into the box and is going back to store. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone.

The device is unreliable, I have purchased three in two weeks. It's hard to talk into and must the time you have to hold the microphone right next to your mouth for the other person to hear you. I would get the one that cost a little over a hundred dollars.

I manage a student computer lab, and the screens get full of fingerprint smudges. My employer purchased these wipes because they didn't want chemical sprays in the building. The wipes have a chemical smell of their own, although it's not terribly strong. The problem is that the wipes aren't very effective. To remove fingerprint smudges you really have to use some elbow grease and go over and over the same spot. Fine if you have one monitor but when you're facing a roomful, it's literally painful. Also, the wipes tend to dry out, even if you securely reclose the lid. If you don't use them up in a few weeks, they will become next to useless. The dispensing of the sheets is surprisingly bad - you pull them up through the top like you would a tissue paper from its box. The sheets tend to drop back down inside the container, forcing you to open it and pull the top sheet back through the opening on top. They also tend to shred as you pull them out, which is a frustrating waste of sheets.

My recommendation? Get screen cleaning spray and soft cloths designed for computer displays, and avoid this mediocre product.

Sears sells this phone as a Craftsman model for $80. Circuit City for $50. I bought two (one for me, one for dad) and discovered, to my horror, that the base station is a GIANT wall-wart (no power cord) that takes up all of a duplex outlet. The wall-wart is as big as the base of the phone. REALLY stupid, idiotic design. Also, the one I bought was defective in that it would not ring. Worked to call out, but no indication of incoming calls. Took it back. My dad's example works.

Handset is also large and not comfortable to hold - sharp edges. It's supposed to have a load ringer, but judging from the test settings I tried, it's not very load at all at its loadest.

I'd buy it at a close-out price of under $40, but not for a cent more.

I bought one of these but ultimately returned it. While it
does make an OK telephone, the feature that I primarily wanted,
a back-lit display, isn't there! The LCD screen is just as
impossible to read in low light as any other LCD that other
reviewers have noted. Buy this for the speakerphone, but be
warned, it does NOT have a back-lit display.

It's not worth the money. The Called ID doesn't tell you which line is calling. The phone connection is cheap. It's difficult to turn on the speakerphone -- you press the button and nothing happens. Basically, this is a cheap, poorly made product that I regret buying.
Don't make the same mistake.

We bought six GE phones for our office and two of them don't ring properly, no matter what we try. The quality is just very poor and lots of other things have gone wrong.

I've used Krusell cases before and loved them, but this particular case wasn't designed very well. The case fits well, but the plastic cover over the top makes it very difficult to use the stylus to press down on the screen. When I took the case off I didn't wanna put it back on, because it makes it so tough to access use the Treo with the stylus. I don't recommend this solution at all unless you want to use it temporarily when your Treo really needs to be protected and not everyday.
