LOUSY PHONE
Good Price with a nice package, but very poor quality sound. We purchased 2 of these phones...both had echo, and low sound quality. We could not even have a conversation with the other party. Both are being returned!!

Northwestern Bell 36247
The backlit display did not work nor did the memory call feature. The memory would store numbers but would not dial the numbers. The buttons and steps to use other features were somewhat awkward in sequence. I returned the unit to Amazon as I found it very inferior.

Comfortable, but noisy with voice echo
According to people I called with this phone, voice quality was very good on their end, and the received voice quality on my end was also good. The handset is comfortable to hold and the earpiece is easy on the ear, but from there it was downhill. Like many other cordless phones, the 36247 exhibited strong voice echoing when speaking into the phone, which as you all know is very annoying. After walking only a short distance outside away from the house, I got a lot of static and interference, breaking up conversations. I have a 2-yr old VTECH 9111 900MHz analog that provides much better quality performance. I didn't get a chance to use the CID or any other functions because the phone was immediately returned.

a very bad little machine
We tried two of these and neither worked correctly--kept cutting callers off, sometimes would erase the outgoing message, and outgoing message quality was poor. Could not get it to delete or save individual messages. So frustrating.

ONLY THING I LIKE IS THE LOOKS!
What's that axium...Looks good....??? This little work of art, is great looking. It's small. It's stainless & black. It's inexpensive....and so far...IT [STINKS]!! Not easy to use, the sound quality is poor, at best. You can't just delete msgs, yet those you want deleted can be left intact...and on and on. Too bad...THOUGHT I'd purchased a winner, instead I purchased a DOG!

Hard to use
I really don't like this answering machine. Although technically it's done everything it says it would there is no digital number reading how many messages you have - you just have to count the number of times the tiny little green dot blinks. You also have to hit "save" during the middle of hearing your message. If you don't - that message is gone for good. It's also difficult to save just one message. The default setting is to save all of them. I'm going to look for something else.

Terrible Phone
This is a terrible phone, don't waste your money on this! Don't be fooled by the 2.4Ghz or the DSS features, they're all a waste after you hear the quality of the phone. Constant hissing, echoes and just terrible sound quality. I returned it after only 2 days and 2 phone calls. Check the reviews of the GH2415 or the GH2410 at circuitcity.com, essentially the same phone except w/o the answering machine. AVOID!!

All the specs but can't get good sound.
I bought it cause a 2.4 GHz phone with Spread spectrum should have just about perfect clarity and good range. Plus it was ~$$$ on sale. Here is a perfect example of how the company couldn't produce a quality product. We had the phone 1 day. I can't get more than 2 rooms away without getting "skips" in the sound. Gee.... my 900 MHz spread spectrum beats it hands down. So this one> is a [inexpensive] 2.4 ghz phone!
It works good for about 40 feet. Liked the answering machine.
Go buy something else!

OK WHILE IT LASTS
THIS PHONE IS FINE UNTIL THE BATTERY LOSES IT'S CHARGE. ONCE FULL POWER IS LOST, THE MEMORY HOLDS ONLY A VERY SHORT CHARGE, REGARDLESS OF FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS TO FULLY RECHARGE. THE BATTERY IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLACE. THE WEBSITE TO SOUTHWESTERN BELL IS A JOKE. THERE IS NO VENUE TO INQUIRE ABOUT HOW TO REPLACE THE BATTERY OR WHERE TO FIND ONE. I HAVE BEEN TO EVERY STORE IN TOWN. THE PHONE IS NOW USELESS. RADIO SHACK AND STAPLES RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM SWB FOR THAT VERY PROBLEM. THEY ARE THE ONLY COMPANY THAT HAS THE POWER WIRES FLIPPED IN THEIR BATTERY, AND NO ONE CARRIES THEM. OF COURSE THAT DIDN'T STOP THEM FROM SELLING THE PHONE IN THE FIRST PLACE. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

if you have friends who leave real long meassages on phones and you would like to avoid this this phone would be great it consistantly cuts people off after 5 or 8 words and the sound quality is pretty poor. the volume is usually so low and you can never tell how many message you have or erase a skipped messsage you have to hear all your annoying message first. I just bought this a couple of months ago and am now planning on replacing it.

Get what you pay for....
I bought this phone because I wanted a cordless phone with an answering machine (all 1 unit) for my kitchen, but I didn't want to spend very much. Well, with the answering machine, it is very difficult to understand the messages. I have to listen to them from the handset. And the clarity in the handset is awful! Not only is there an echo of my own voice in the earpiece, but it picks up every little sound from the room and amplifies it. It is also very difficult to hear the person on the other end. But what should I have expected from a $13 phone. (Of course it was $30 when I bought it.) I should have just waited and spent the extra money on a better phone as now I am on the search for a new better quality phone.

It's a fine phone, if you don't need your messages.
This is a typical, low-cost phone, and it works about how you'd expect. The signal doesn't carry strongly through 4 walls -- whatever.

The main problem is the ease with which you can erase the message you're about to listen to, when you mean to be erasing the one you've just heard.

Short Life Phone
I purchased two of these phones for mothers day. One had to be returned in one month (Could not be heard by caller). Mailed back to Casio, fixed and returned to me. Five months later both phones do not work. Batteries have been checked. Worked very well when working. Working life too short.

Great answering machine but mediocre phone
I returned this machine for two reasons. The sound quality of the phone was mediocre. Voices were sometimes hard to understand in typical conversation. This model also lacks an auto answer feature which I think is an important convenience. Also, the handset is a comfortable cradle which is rare among cordless phones

NOT AS ADVERTISED
As the other reviewer said this is *not* an ethernet/phone combo.
It is just a retractable phone cable and I would have never paid
$20 (after shipping) for it had I known that.

NOT an Ethernet/Phone Combo
Although this item is advertised as an ethernet/phone combo device, it is not. It is simply a retractable phone cord with an RJ-11 (phone)connector. It performs just fine in this capacity, but look elsewhere if you want to purchase an "all in one" gizmo. This won't do it for you as there is no way to use this baby to get on your LAN

seems incredibly overpriced for the pixel count
I just bought a kodak 3.2 megapixel camera at walmart for $88.
this is VERY overpriced, It looks like it should cost $25 or less

I'm not satisfy!
With this camera I was able to making high quality pictures only outside. Inside of any house or room pictures are ugly. They are in very bad red-light or orange-red color. I do not use this camera as I expected and I can't return because package was opened. Of course, I opened to see how this camera work. But requirements for returns by mail does not aloud to return this useless camera back to their place :-(

Not Ready for Prime Time
Wireless functionality for Palm is still a hit-and-miss game (at least with the MIK and Palm Vx). You may or may not have much success in getting the connectivity you seek, depending on the vagaries of your ISP, your wireless phone, and the actual site you're trying to connect to. My recommendation is to wait another year or two before pursuing this. By the way, Palm itself provides almost no support for this product.

Very limited features
I Purchased this item hoping that it would allow me to get both home and work E-mail (using Psion 56k Travel modem). The modem works great, but ...

The feature set list is misleading. It states that one can access POP3 "accounts". Bun in reality one can only access one account with the MultiMailPro 2.26 provided in MIK. Also, upgrades are not allowed on this version of MultiMailPro. One must make a new purchase to get the useful version 3.x.

The upgrade to OS 3.5 is nice, but also does not have very many enhancements.

I didn't try the web-clipping or mobile phone applications. But if they're like the mail app, then you should plan on being disappointed.

So in my opinion, the MIK IS a waste of money.

P.S. I temporarily solved my E-mail problems with a freeware package called ProxiMail, which gets your E-mail from up to five accounts. It puts the E-mail into the mail application in ROM. But the bulit-in mail application also has many limits. The developer's of ProxiMail have gone out of business, but if you look hard it can still be found on the web.

Too bad there isn't a 0 star option
I purchased a Sony phone similar to this one.....just minus the answering machine. I thought since it was Sony it would be a great phone. Boy was I wrong. As another reviewer stated the channel surfing is the worst. I can be sitting right next to the base and the phone cuts off and surfs for another channel. Forget about moving your head once you find a channel. That will cause the phone to surf as well. Cordless is useless with Sony. Another thing that bothers me is there is no volume button for the ringing. I am about to have a baby and didn't need this until now. The phone rings terribly loud and since the baby will be in my room at the beginning it will definitely cause a problem. I love Sony but will never purchase a phone from them again. My cousin had a Sony phone which ended up in the garbage and I think mine is about to join hers.

Battery dies quickly without much notice
Sony is usually a good name, but not with this phone. I've found the battery dies rather quickly. When you're on the phone when it dies, you only have 5 seconds to sprint to another phone. If I leave the phone out of the cradle during the day, it is dead when I come home from work. What's worse is you can't find replacement batteries at the store. Remote access to voicemail is painful too.

average phone
I was really expecting a lot more when I bought this 6mos ago. No speaker phone on the main unit is a disadvantage. It does though have a great answering maching with three mailboxes. It also has a computerized greeting if you want that instead of your voice. Battery life is poor. I can go about 450 ft from my house before it cuts out but it gets a lot of static. One thing I hate for sure about it is the way it surfs for channels on its own. You could be on the phone and while you are talking you will here it cut off your conversation or your other partys conversation for about a second and then you have to repeat what you just said. This can be very annoying as you are walking through the house. If you sit still it doesnt do it. What is the point in a cordless phone then? I called Sony and it is no defect that is what it is suppose to do. I get lots of complaints that people cant hear me very well either. Havent figured that one out yet either. I am looking for a new phone now and hope I do a little better research.

Not a good phone
I charged the phone for about 2 days, and you couldn't get a dial tone on the phone but the call ID worked. Once you picked up the phone and pressed talk the dail tone was on for one second and it lost the connection.

not ringing a bell
I just bought this phone and as of 5 days have yet to get a dail tone.Call costumer service, the help recieved do absolutely nothing to fix this problem. When I called back it was to find out that the customer service office has closed. At this time all it is capable of doing is being a paperweight.

southwestern bell = unreliable electronics
we had the GH2410C, which is very similar to this model, and it was awful. the volume was terrible- i could barely hear anyone talking, and when you pick up the phone, it takes 1 - 2 seconds before you can begin conversing. awful, awful phone. my toddler just doused ours in water so we have to replace it, which i can't say i'm sorry for.
